  • A four beam interference optical system for laser micro structuring using a pulse laser was demonstrated. The four beam interference optical system using a pulse laser(picosecond laser) can fabricate micro structure on mold material(NAK80) directly. Micro structure on the polymer can be reproduced economically by injection molding of the micro structure on the mold material. The four beam interference optical system was composed by the DOE(Diffractive Optical Element) and two lenses. The laser intensity distribution of four beam interference was explained by an interference optics point of view and by the image optics point of view. We revealed that both views showed the same result. The laser power distribution of a $1{\mu}m$ peak pattern was made by the four beam interference optical system and measured by the objective lens and CCD. A $1{\mu}m$ pitch dot pattern on the mold material was fabricated and measured by SEM(Scanning Electron Microscopy).

  • In the direct sequence code division multiple access system, the problem of multiple access interference due to multiple access is generated. A interference cancelling receiver is used to solve this problem. The conventional interference cancelling receiver is structure of successive interference canceller using antenna array. In this structure, the difference of between method I and method II depends on updating weight vector. In this paper, the adaptive blind CMA array interference cancelling receiver using cost function of constant modulus algorithms is proposed to update weight vector at conventional structure. The simulation compared the proposed interference cancelling receiver with two conventional interference cancelling receivers by signal to interference ratio and bit error rate curve under additive white Gaussian noise environment. The simulation results show that the proposed receiver has about the gain of SIR of 1.5[dB] more than method I which is conventional receiver at SIR curve, and about the gain of SIR of 0.5(dB) more than method II. In BER curve, the proposed IC receiver about the gain of SNR of 2[dB] more than method I and about the gain of SNR of 0.5[dB] more than method If, Thus, the proposed interference cancelling receiver has the higher performance than conventional interference cancelling receivers.

  • The conventional code division multiple access(CDMA) detector shows severe degradation in communication quality as the number of users increases due to multiple access interferences(MAI). This problem thus restricts the user capacity. Various multiuser detection algorithms have been proposed to overcome the MAI problem. The existing detectors can be generally classified into one of the two categories : linear multiuser detection and subtractive interference cancellation detectors. In the linear multiuser detection, a linear transform is applied to the soft outputs of the conventional detector. In the subtractive interference cancellation detection, estimates of the interference are generated and subtracted out from the received signal. There has been great interest in the family of the subtractive interference cancellation detection because the linear multiuser detection exhibits the disadvantage of taking matrix inversion operations. The successive interference cancellation (SIC) and the parallel interference cancellation (PIC) are the two most popular structures in the subtractive interference cancellation detector. The SIC structure is very simple in hardware complexity, but has the disadvantage of increased processing delay time, while the PIC structure is good in performance, but shows the disadvantage of increased hardware complexity. In this paper we propose a mixed structure form of SIC and PIC in order to achieve good performance as well as simple hardware complexity. A performance analysis of the proposed scheme has been made, and the superior characteristics of the mixed structure are demonstrated by extensive computer simulations.

  • In this paper, we propose a SSD(Simultaneous Single band Duplex) system using turbo equalizer with frame structure for simultaneous full-duplex communication in single band. the proposed system uses frame structure for self-interference cancellation effectively. In this paper, performance of the proposed system with frame structure compares to performance of SSD system without frame structure to analysis performance of the proposed system with frame structure. Simulation results show that the performance of proposed system with frame structure is batter than performance of SSD system without frame structure when the number of global iterations of both system is same. Using proposed system with frame structure, we can verify that the performance like SSD system without frame structure by few global iteration of turbo equalizer.

  • In this paper, we propose a new single carrier - frequency domain equalization (SC-FDE) structure to cope with narrow band interference. In the conventional SC-FDE structure, when a high-power narrow band interference exists, channel estimation and data recovery is difficult. To relieve from this problem, this paper proposes a new SC-FDE frame structure to enable frequency-domain channel estimation in the environments that exist narrow band interference. Specifically, in the conventional method, the channel estimation is performed in time-domain first and from that, the frequency-domain channel is obtained by Fourier transform. In contrast, we proposed a new SC-FDE structure to enable frequency-domain channel estimation directly from received signals without time-domain channel estimation. The receiver performance improvement is verified through computer simulation. According to the results, the proposed technique can detect the signal with less than 2 dB loss compared with jammer-free environments, while the conventional method does not communicate with each other.

  • The extraction of the valid measurement region from the interference fringe pattern is a significant step when measuring gear tooth flank form deviation with grazing incidence interferometry, which will affect the measurement accuracy. In order to overcome the drawback of the conventionally used method in which the object image pattern must be captured, an improved segmentation approach is proposed in this paper. The interference fringe patterns feature, which is smoothed by the nonlinear diffusion, would be extracted by the structure tensor first. And then they are incorporated into the vector-valued Chan-Vese model to extract the valid measurement region. This method is verified in a variety of interference fringe patterns, and the segmentation results show its feasibility and accuracy.

  • Together with the GPS-based approach, geo-location through mobile communication networks is a key technology for location-based service. To save the cost, most geo-location system is implemented on the existed network service, which has a cellular structure. Still, multilateration is limited in cellular structure because it is difficult for the mobile terminal to acquire distance measurements from multiple base stations. This low hearability in the receiver is caused by co-channel interference and multipath environment. Therefore, hearability enhancement is necessary for multilateration under multipath and interference environment. Former time domain based hearability methods were designed for real signals. However, orthogonal frequency division multiplexing (OFDM) signal, which its usage has been increased in digital wireless communication, is a complex signal. Thus, different hearability enhancement method is needed for OFDM signals. This paper proposes a hearability enhancement method for forward-link multilateration using OFDM signals, which employ interference cancellation and multipath mitigation. A novel interference cancellation and multipath mitigation strategy for complex-valued OFDM signals is presented that has an iterative structure. Simulation results show that the proposed multilateration method provides the user's position with an accuracy of less than 80m through the mobile WiMAX cellular network in multipath environment.

  • Interference always exists between wireless communication systems used in the same frequency band or adjacent frequency bands. In order to deploy a new wireless communication system such as a 5G system, a new frequency band must be allocated to the system. For this purpose, after analyzing interference between the existing system and the new system, a method of setting a frequency guard band or a minimum separation distance has been used as a passive method to limit the interference effect. This paper presents a wideband RF IRM(Interference Reduction Module) that can actively reduce the influence of interference between wireless communication systems. The wideband RF IRM can reduce the interference effects of 5G signals on satellite signals. The principle and structure of the wideband RF IRM are presented. The wideband RF IRM can suppress approximately 20dB of interference signal in 100MHz bandwidth when only interference signal exists. It also shows that when a 5G interference signal of -45dBm/100MHz and a satellite signal of -55dBm/40MHz exist simultaneously at a center frequency of 3.83GHz, about 15dB of 5G interference signal can be reduced in the frequency range covered by the satellite signal. The experimental results demonstrate that the wideband RF IRM can actively reduce the 5G interference signal on the satellite signal and can be used for the purpose of reducing the interference effect in a similar environment.

  • A new lattice structure using decision feedback and augmented prediction for estimating and suppressing the narrowband interference is presented. The performance of the proposed interference canceller is compared to the conventional interference cancellation filter. The reference signal of the interference canceller is formed by using the chip decisions, which is correlated with the narrowband interference components of the received signal. The decision feedback technique reduce the distortion of the desired signal which is introduced by the interference canceller through the use of feedback chip decisions. And by linear prediction of the error signal, the residual interference component of can be eliminated, Using this unconteminated error signal to update the adaptive filter coefficients, the performance of the rejection can be improved. In the simulation, it is assumed that the processing gains are 7 and 15, signal to interference ratio is -10[dB], and 5% interference band. The results show that the BER performance of the proposed filter structure is improved by 1~3dB.
