  • Since the late 1990, "Smart clothing" has been developed in a various way to meet user centered design and human engineering that considered usability, wearability with clothing. Under this circumstance, research and development of smart clothing has been demanded usability and wearability test. But, Study of the usability evaluation for sensor based smart clothing is insufficient. In this study, we suggest criterion of usability evaluation for sensor based smart clothing that evaluate on the point of view such as wearability of clothing, interaction of clothing and devices, interaction of body and devices. we performed qualitative and quantitative test with developed smart clothing to present usability evaluation criterion for sensor based smart clothing. As a result, total 7 categories such as 'usefulness', 'wearability', 'appearance', 'riskness', 'facility of management', 'perceived change', were extracted as the usability and wearability criterion. Additionally, 28 factors of evaluation criterion for sensor based smart clothing were indicated on the result of this research. This study have meaning to indicate usability evaluation criterion for sensor based smart clothing.

  • The purpose of this study was to identify the effect of marketing activities to apparel brand community on interaction of the community. Subjects of 317 members for 9 selected apparel communities responded the questionnaire in the home-page or in the attached file. Data were analyzed by exploratory factor analysis, one-way ANOVA, scheffe-test. The results were as follows: Significant differences among three community groups classified based on the levels of interactions(interaction of company to members and interaction among members) were found in several types of marketing activities(award to activities, added services, conveyance of community's purpose and acceptance of negative responses) to apparel brand community. These types of marketing activities were operated in communities with high level interactions higher than in communities with low level interactions. Therefore, marketers need to operate these types of community marketing activities to increase interactions which can contribute members' satisfaction of interest, transaction and relationship needs through apparel brand online community.

  • A multi-layer of the dye, natural colorant Berberine, was successfully developed by the self-assembly deposition from water-soluble cationic dye(Berberine chloride) and anionic polyelectrolyte PSS(Polysodium 4-styrenesulfonate) in aqueous solution via electrostatic attraction. The corresponding results on multi-layer were characterized by UV-Vis absorbance measurements. The growth of multi-layer formed by the sequential interaction was also determined. The findings measured by UV-Vis spectrophotometer showed that the bilayer deposition characteristic was linear and highly reproducible from layer to layer.

  • PET/PHE blends were prepared by the mixing of poly(ethylene terephthalate) and poly(hydroxyether of bisphenol A) at melt state above PET melting temperature and modified PET fibers having less than 5 wt% of PHE were also prepared by the melt spinning of the PET/PHE blends. The PET/PHE blends were able to prepare by means of physical mixing concept, except the chemical interaction between hydroxyl groups of PHE and ester groups of PET. It has been revealed that the modified PET fibers have some hydrophilic properties such as low contact angle and easy-dyeable characters.

  • The electrospinning process is a fascinating method to fabricate small nanosized fibers of diameter several hundred nanometers. Surfactant-polymer solutions were prepared by adding poly(vinyl alcohol) (PVOH) to distilled water with cationic, anionic, amphoteric, and non-ionic surfactants. Average diameter of the electrospun PVOH fibers prepared from PVOH solution was over 300 nm, and was decreased to 150 nm for the mixture of PVOH/amphoteric surfactant. To explain the formation of ultra fine fiber, the characteristic properties in a mixture of PVOH/surfactant such as surface tension, viscosity, and conductivity were determined. In this paper, the effect of interactions between polymers with different classes of surfactants on the morphological and mechanical properties of electrospun PVOH nonwoven mats was broadly investigated.

  • Four aminoazobenzene disperse dyes derived from different N-ethyl-N-substitutedalkylanilines and 2-chloro-4-nitroaniline, were synthesized and their chemical structure were analyzed by 500 MHz NMR spectroscopy. The wavelength of maximum absorption of the synthesized dyes, which was dependent on the electron withdrawing ability of the substituent, was in the range of 499.5~526.0nm. As terminal substituent became polar, the dyeing rate of disperse dye increased, and the exhaustion rate of dyes having cyano or hydroxy group became lower, that of the dye having acetoxy group higher. The wash fastness of polyester fabric dyed with disperse dyes possessing the polar group improved probably due to the increased dye-fiber interaction.

  • The molecular interactions of polyacrylonitrile (PAN) and cellulose acetate (CA) were investigated thoroughly via dilute solution viscometry in dimethylformamide (DMF) as a common solvent at $30^{\circ}C$. The intrinsic viscosities and viscometric interaction parameters were experimentally determined for both binary (polymer/dimethylformamide) and ternary (PAN/CA/dimethylformamide) systems. As all investigated PAN/CA ternaries evidenced negative viscometric interaction parameter values $({\Delta}b\;&{\Delta}k<0)$, the existence of repulsive intermolecular interactions was deduced, and PAN/CA blends were assigned as immiscible. Moreover, the results of microscopy photograph analysis indicated that pure PAN film evidences a homophasic structure, and the size of the phase domain increases gradually with increases in CA. In DSC analysis, it was determined that the glass transition temperature of the blend film increased slightly with increases in the CA content of the blend film.

  • The purpose of this study is to analyze the factors of action and reaction through the examples of luminescence digital fashion design, which is a part of the interactive digital paradigm in 21st century, and to classify types of interaction expressed in luminescence digital fashion design. The significance of this study is to provide an effective database for researches on new ideas and expression methods of fashion design using luminescence digital device. The contents are as follows. First, identifying the concepts of interaction, digital fashion, and luminescence digital device. Second, analyzing the factors that put the luminescence digital device into effect through materials such as the collected photos and the stimulus behind the materials. Third, analyzing and classifying types of reaction according to the types of stimulus in luminescence digital fashion design. Detailed use of luminescence digital devices in Fashion designs did not start until after 2000 so the scope of this study starts from 2000 and on. The methods of this study are as follows. The theoretical frameworks of digital fashion and interaction were setup by using information from various related books, papers, and internet sites. In addition, the empirical analysis was performed using collected photos and explanations through related Internet sites of digital fashion. Through the study, the interaction types in 21st century's luminescence digital fashion design can be expressed variously according to the current input type, biometric recognition type, environment recognition type.

  • The purpose of this study was to identify the analysis of children's wearing need towards hues and tones of T-shirts based on gender. The experimental materials developed for this study were a set of stimulus and response scales. The 15 color pictures and 5-point scales were used for evaluation of wearing need. Data were obtained from 150 boys and 150 girls living in Seoul, Busan, Jinju, and Changwon on May and June 2010. For data analysis, ANOVA and Duncan-test were used by using SPSS program. Results of this study were as follows.; Hues and tones showed an independent effect on children's wearing need. Interaction effects of children's gender and tones on children's wearing need were found. Interaction effects of hues and tones on children's wearing need were found. Also, interaction effects of gender, hues, and tones on children's wearing need were found. These results suggested that children's wearing need can be affected by their gender, hues, and tones.

  • Microwaves belong to the portion of the electromagnetic spectrum with frequencies between 300MHz and 300GHz.$\^$1)/ In microwave processing, the energy is delivered directly to materials through molecular interaction with the electromagnetic field. This result in rapid heating throughout the material thickness with the reduced thermal gradients. If microwave is applied to fibrous materials, it can be reduced processing time. (omitted)
