The study was conducted to examine Mother - Infant interaction and Maternal identity in two groups, that is, premature infant and its mother and full-term infant and its mother. For this purpose, the data were collected from 24 sample groups(12 for premature dyads and the remaining 12 for full-term dyads) by using observation method and questionnaires during July, 20 through September 30, 1987. The results are summerized as follows; 1. In terms of Mother - Infant Interaction, full-term dyads considerably stood out campared to that of premature dyads (u=21, p<0.01). 2. In terms of Maternal Identity, though full-term dyads showed somewhat high results, there was not a significant difference between two groups. 3. There was not a significant correlation between Mother-Infant Interaction and Maternal Identity.
The purpose of this study is to study the interaction structure of a smart farm for controlled environment horticulture. As a research method, interaction factors were analyzed by defining the growth stages of humans, plants, and plants, which are the subjects of interaction during the production, distribution, sales and consumption stages of smart farms. Additionally, on-site survey was used to differentiate between one-time, short-term, and long-term, depending on the behavior and operation of the interacting entity and time. As a result, the research came up to a finding that 1) Human and Plant are based on interactions of 'one-time, short-term' 2) Plant and Smart Farm as 'short-term' 3) Smart Farm and Human as 'short-term and long-term'. For this reason, this study is meaningful in deriving the relationship between the subjects and the interaction elements in the production stage of the smart farm and presenting a new interaction structure model by structuring them.
The purpose of this study was to investigate and analyze how teachers' recognition of professionalism and the child's gender and term care affect child's social interaction behavior. Participants were three-year-old 61 children and their 20 teachers. Each child was observed by the time sampling method of 20 sec-observation followed by 10 sec-recording for a total of 14 minutes. The teachers completed the rating scales to measure the teachers' recognition of professionalism. The study results show that, children engaged more frequently in individual behavior than in interactions with peers or with teachers in day care centers. And those children had more interaction behavior with their teachers than with their peers. Correlation between teachers' recognition of professionalism and children's social interaction behavior were as following: the more the teachers recognized professionalism, the more the children showed positive interaction behavior toward their teachers. Also, the more the teachers recognized the professionalism related to the job satisfaction, the more the children showed positive interaction behavior toward their peers. Boys interacted more negatively with peers and teachers than girls did. Children who attended the day care center more than two years showed less individual behaviors than others.
This paper presents a novel analytical formulation for the analysis of composite beams with partial shear interaction stiffened by a bolted longitudinal plate accounting for time effects, such as creep and shrinkage. The model is derived by means of the principle of virtual work using a displacement-based formulation. The particularity of this approach is that the partial interaction behaviour is assumed to exist between the top slab and the joist as well as between the joist and the bolted longitudinal stiffening plate, therefore leading to a three-layered structural representation. For this purpose, a novel finite element is derived and presented. Its accuracy is validated based on short-and long-term analyses for the particular cases of full shear interaction and partial shear interaction of two layers for which solutions in closed form are available in the literature. A parametric study is carried out considering different stiffening arrangements to investigate the influence on the short-and long-term behaviour of the composite beam of the shear connection stiffness between the concrete slab and the steel joist, the stiffness of the plate-to-beam connection, the properties of the longitudinal plate and the concrete properties. The values of the deflection obtained from the finite element simulations are compared against those calculated using the effective flexural rigidity in accordance with EC5 guidelines for the behaviour of elastic multi-layered beams with flexible connection and it is shown how the latter well predicts the structural response. The proposed numerical examples highlight the ease of use of the proposed approach in determining the effectiveness of different retrofitting solutions at service conditions.
Tunnels are generally constructed below the ground water table, which produces a long-term interaction between the tunnel lining and the surrounding geo-materials. Thus, in conjunction with tunnel design, the presence of water may require a number of considerations such as: leakage and water load. It has been reported that deterioration of a drainage system of tunnels is one of the main factors governing the long-term hydraulic and structural lining-ground interaction. Therefore, the design procedure of an underwater tunnel should address any detrimental effects associated with this interaction. In this paper an attempt to identify the coupled structural and hydraulic interaction between the lining and the ground was made using a numerical method. A main concern was given to local hindrance of flow into tunnels. Six cases of local deterioration of a drainage system were considered to investigate the effects of deterioration on tunnels. It is revealed that hindrance of flow increased pore-water pressure on the deteriorated areas, and caused detrimental effects on the lining structures. The analysis results were compared with those from fully permeable and impermeable linings.
The purpose of this study is to examine the moderating effects of emotional intelligence in the relationship between transformational leadership and organizational commitment. To achieve the this research purpose, theoretical and empirical studies related to transformational leadership, organizational commitment, and emotional intelligence were carried out simultaneously. The established hypotheses related to transformational leadership, organizational commitment, and emotional intelligence were verified by the hierarchical regression analysis using SPSS. The result of this research are as followers : First, the hierarchical regression analysis revealed that moderation term was significant(${\beta}$=0.146, p<.01). The interaction term for charisma and emotional intelligence had a significant and positive relationship with organizational commitment. Second, the hierarchical regression analysis revealed that moderation term was insignificant(${\beta}$=2.295, p<.05) The interaction term for inspirational motivation and emotional intelligence had a significant and positive relationship with organizational commitment. Third, the hierarchical regression analysis revealed that moderation term was significant(${\beta}$=0.200, p<.001). The interaction term for intellectual stimulation and emotional intelligence had a significant and positive relationship with organizational commitment. Fourth, the hierarchical regression analysis revealed that moderation term was significant(${\beta}$=2.213, p<.01).
In GARCH context, the conditional variance (or volatility) is of a quadratic function of the observation process. Examine standard ARCH/GARCH and their variant models in terms of quadratic formulations and it is interesting to note that most models in GARCH context have contained neither the first order term nor the interaction term. In this paper, we consider three models possessing the first order and/or interaction terms in the formulation of conditional variances, viz., quadratic GARCH, absolute value GARCH and bilinear GARCH processes. These models are investigated with a view to model comparisons and applications to financial time series in Korea

The interaction between ground water and structure is complicated behavior which cannot be easily investigated In the laboratory and monitored in the fields. In this study numerical simulation of the interactive behavior was performed using sophisticated coupled-finite element method. Hydraulic behavior of structure is modeled using solid elements with finite Permeability. Recovery of ground water table in the long-term is considered by controlling hydraulic boundary conditions. The results showed that the interaction effect is significant. Particularly non-symmetry in the lining permeability resulted in highly unbalanced pore water pressure which may cause detrimental effects on inner linings of tunnels acting as drains.
Wharfs are essential to shipping and support very large gravity loads on both a short-term and long-term basis which cause quite large seismic internal forces. Therefore, these structures are vulnerable to seismic activities. As they are supported on vertical and/or batter piles, soil-pile interaction effects under earthquake events have a great importance in seismic resistance which is not yet fully understood. Seismic design codes have become more stringent and suggest the use of new design methods, such as Performance Based Design principles. According to Turkish Code for Coastal and Port Structures (TCCS 2008), the interaction between soil and pile should somehow be considered in the nonlinear analysis in an accurate manner. This study aims to explore the lateral load carrying capacity of recently designed wharf structures considering soil-pile interaction effects for different soil conditions. For this purpose, nonlinear structure analysis according to TCCS (2008) has been performed comparing simplified and detailed modeling results.
Purpose: The purpose of this study was to identify the effectiveness of sensory stimulation program administered by primipara on the physical growth and mother-infant feeding interaction for the first 6 months of infancy. Method: Data were collected from December 1, 2001 to June 30, 2003. A total of 35 mothers and their infants were assigned to a control(n=17) and an experimental(n=18) group. Mothers in the experimental group received education related to sensory stimulation program and administered to their infants twice a day for 6 months. Both groups were measured the weight, length, head circumference and chest circumference of infants at 6 weeks, 10 weeks, 14 weeks, 18 weeks, and 22 weeks and the mother-infant feeding interaction at 6 weeks, 10 weeks through the home visiting. Result: Compared to the control group, the experimental group had significantly larger increases in head circumference for intervention period. In addition to, the experimental group showed significantly higher score in mother-infant interaction than control group. Conclusion: These data suggested that sensory stimulation program administered by primipara may improve the physical growth of full term infant and mother-infant feeding interaction.
