개인의 심리적 특성과 부모와의 애착 및 대학생활적응 (Student Personal Characteristics, Parent Attachment and Adjustment in College)

  • The purpose of the present study is to explore two main research questions; whether or not there is a difference in student adjustment in college according to socio-demographics characteristics, and to analyze the effects of self-esteem, self-identity, interaction anxiousness, and parent attachment on the adjustment of college students. The results were as follows: First, students' adjustments in college showed significant differences according to gender, cramming for repeating a college entrance exam, living with their parents, college major, family income, and religion. Second, the self-esteem, self-identity, interaction anxiousness, and parent attachment of college students impacted the related adjustment. Self-identity was the most important factor for predicting the adjustment in College. Therefore, this result suggests that the programs of self-identity Improvement are needed for the adjustment in college life.

간호대학생의 대인불안과 의사소통능력의 관계에서 자기효능감의 매개효과 (The mediating effect of self-efficacy on the relationship between social anxiety and communication ability in nursing students)

  • Purpose: This study aims to identify the relationship between nursing students' social anxiety and communication ability, and in particular, to determine the mediating effect of self-efficacy. Methods: A total of 187 nursing students enrolled at four universities in Korea completed surveys between August and September 2020. The measurements included the Global Interpersonal Communication Competence Scale, self-efficacy scales, and interaction anxiousness scales. Data were analyzed using descriptive statistics, an independent t-test, one-way ANOVA, Pearson's correlation, multiple regression following the Baron and Kenny method, and bootstrapping for mediation. Results: Communication ability was significantly negatively correlated with social anxiety (r=-.61, p<.001) and significantly positively correlated with self-efficacy (r=.77, p<.001). Furthermore, self-efficacy had a partial mediating effect on the relationship between social anxiety and communication ability. Conclusion: The findings of this study suggest that communication ability can be improved if individual characteristics such as social anxiety and self-efficacy are considered. Therefore, when developing communication ability improvement programs for nursing students in the future, it is considered important to actively consider these personal characteristics.

간호학생의 자아존중감과 대인불안 (Self-Esteem and Social Anxiety of Nursing Student)

  • Purpose: This study was to identify the nursing students' self-esteem and social anxiety to provide the data for their interpersonal relations. Method: The subjects of study were the 433 nursing students of the junior colleges around a city and a province, Korea. The data were collected from Dec. 7 to Jun. 9, 2006. The instrument for the study was questionnaire consisted on the general characteristics, Interaction Anxiousness Scale by Leary, and Rosenberg's self-esteem scale by Rosenberg. Result: The results of this research were as follows : The mean scores of self-esteem and social anxiety were respectively 28.65 and 38.38. The correlation between self-esteem and social anxiety was shown the significantly negative correlation(r=-.286, p=.000). According to the general characteristics, there were shown the significant differences in grades and ages in self-esteem. There were shown the significant differences in grades, types of next stage of education, and religions in social anxiety. Conclusion: The results of this study could be attributed to improve the interrelationship of nursing students because self-esteem and social anxiety are essential in building and maintaining the desirable personal relations.

간호대학생의 의사소통 능력과 대인불안 (Interpersonal Communication Competence and Social Anxiety in Nursing Students)

  • Purpose: This study aimed to identify a relationship between the communication competence and social anxiety in nursing students. Methods: With a cross-sectional survey, a convenience sampling of 303 nursing students was taken from P-university in Y-city. The instrument for the study was a questionnaire that is consisted of the general characteristics, an Interaction Anxiousness Scale (IAS) and a Global Interpersonal Communication Competence Scale (GICC). Data was analyzed using descriptive statistics, t-test, one-way ANOVA, Kruskal-Wallis, Pearson's correlation coefficients and stepwise multiple regression with SPSS version 21.0. Results: The mean score of the IAS was $41.89{\pm}8.74$ and the GICC was $3.51{\pm}0.34$. Communication competence significantly differed by the satisfaction of major (F=10.86, p<.001). In addition, the satisfaction of interpersonal relationships was significantly different in both communication competence (F=17.52, p<.001) and social anxiety (F=23.85, p<.001). Social anxiety had a negative correlation with communication competence (r=-.48, p<.001). Social anxiety accounted for 55.3% of the variance -social relaxation (${\beta}$=-.62), assertiveness (${\beta}$=-.18), interaction management (${\beta}$=.14) and efficiency (${\beta}$=-.13)- of communication competence's subcategories. Conclusion: It was found that communication competence has an influence on social anxiety. Therefore, education programs are needed to promote communication competence for a decline of social anxiety in nursing students.

대학생의 자기효능감 수준에 따른 대인불안과 스트레스 대처방식 차이 (Differences of Social Anxiety and Stress Coping Style by Self-Efficacy in College Students)

  • 본 연구는 대학생의 자기효능감 수준에 따른 대인불안과 스트레스 대처방식의 차이를 파악하기 위한 서술적 조사연구이다. 자료는 2013년 5월부터 6월까지 6개 대학교에 재학 중인 대학생 400명을 대상으로 자기효능감 척도, 대인관계 불안 척도 및 스트레스 대처방식 척도를 이용하여 수집하였다. 자료는 SPSS 21.0 프로그램을 이용하여 기술통계, t-test, ANOVA, Pearson correlation coefficient로 분석하였다. 연구결과 자기효능감은 대인불안과 음의 상관관계가 있었으며 스트레스에 대한 적극적 대처와는 양의 상관관계를 보였다. 대인불안은 적극적 스트레스 대처와 음의 상관관계를 보인 반면 소극적 대처방식과는 양의 상관관계를 보였다. 그리고 자기효능감 수준에 따라 대인불안과 스트레스 대처방식에 차이를 보였으며, 자기효능감이 높은 집단은 적극적 스트레스 대처방식을 보다 많이 사용하는 것으로 나타났다. 따라서 대학생들의 자기효능감을 증진시키는 중재를 통해 대인불안을 감소시키고 적극적 대처방식의 사용을 증가시킬 수 있을 것으로 판단된다.

청소년 정신과 환자 중 외톨이 혹은 왕따 특성을 보이는 환자에 대한 예비 연구 (THE PRELIMINARY STUDY ON THE ADOLESCENT PSYCHIATRIC PATIENTS THAT SHOW THE CHRACTERISTICS OF PEER GROUP NEGLECT OR REJECTION)

  • 본 연구는 청소년 정신과 환자 중 외톨이 혹은 왕따 특성을 보이는 환자에 대한 예비연구이다. 청소년 정신과 환자 25명에게 외톨이 설문지, 왕따 설문지 등 8개 설문지를 시행하였고, 일반적인 친구 관계를 질문하였다. 외톨이 설문지 및 왕따 설문지의 점수를 근거로 15명의 외톨이-왕따 집단과 10명의 비외톨이 집단으로 나눈 뒤 일반적 친구 관계와 8개 설문지의 점수를 비교하였다. 또한 5명의 외톨이-왕따 환자 사례를 분석하였다. 이때 SCL-90-R의 우울 차원 점수, 불안 차원 점수, 편집 차원 점수, SCL-90-R의 4가지 차원의 총합, 사회 불안 설문지 점수 등에서 두 집단이 유의한 차이를 보였다. 5명의 외톨이-왕따 환자의 사례 분석 결과, 병원을 찾은 청소년 정신과 환자는 언어 발달 및 인지 발달의 지연 등 발달에서의 문제가 동반되는 경우에 외톨이-왕따를 당할 가능성이 높은 경향을 보인다.
