요추 안정화 운동과 결합된 신경역동학기법이 요추 추간판 탈출증 환자의 요부근력과 오스웨스트리 장애지수에 미치는 영향 (The Effect of Lumbar Stabilization Exercises with Neurodynamic Techniques on Lumbar Muscular Strength and Oswestry Disability Index in Lumbar Disc Herniation Patient's)

  • Background: The purpose of this study was to investigate the effects of lumbar stabilization exercise with neurodynamic techniques on lumbar muscular strength and Oswestry index in lumbar disc herniation patient. Method: The Lumbar stabilization exercise with neurodynamic techniques was performed by 30 pt's in G hospital. The subjects were randomly organized into a study group 15 and control group 15. The exercises and neurodynamic technique were conducted for 40 minutes and, 3 times a week (total 24 times for 8 weeks). General characteristics of the Lumbar muscular strength and Oswestry disability index (ODI) were measured before the training and at 4 weeks and 8 weeks after the intervention. Comparison of the time dependent variable for each group was Calculated by a one way repeated analysis of variance (ANOVA). Comparison between the two groups was Calculated by an analysis of covariance (ANCOVA). Result: There was a significant difference in the Lumbar muscular strength and ODI (p<.05). Similarly in the inter-group analysis, significant differences (p<.05) occurred. Conclusion: In this study, we demonstrated that lumbar stabilization exercises with neurodynamic techniques are an effective therapy for Lumbar muscular strength and ODI in lumbar disc herniation patient's.

소비자 관점에서의 패션기업의 이상적 CSR과 실제적 CSR 비교 (Comparison of Ideal versus Actual Fashion Corporate Social Responsibility from a Consumer Perspective)

  • This study investigates the gaps between ideal and actual corporate social responsibility (CSR) by comparing levels of CSR perceptions and examining the relationship differences between CSR perception, perceived quality, and affective trust from a consumer perspective. Data from 315 adult samples were collected through a nationwide online survey. In order to compare ideal and actual CSR, the study employed the approach of latent means analysis (LMA) and multi-group comparisons within the framework of a structural equation modeling (SEM). The result of latent means comparison showed significant differences of perceptions on fashion CSR across ideal and actual contexts. Only actual economic CSR was evaluated higher than in the ideal context and the effect size of inter-management CSR was the largest among seven domains. Multi-group SEM revealed a significant discrepancy between ideal and actual CSR structural models that exhibited relationships of CSR perception, perceived quality, and affective trust. The paths from internal management and ethical CSR to perceived quality and from economic and philanthropy CSR to affective trust were different across ideal and actual contexts. Implying the understanding of consumer CSR perceptions and the mediating role of perceived quality, this study suggests that marketers narrow the gap between ideal and actual CSR.

어깨 및 팔 동작 부하 측정을 위한 관찰적 기법 비교 (Comparison of Six Observational Methods for Assessing Arm- and Hand-intensive Tasks)

  • This study aims to compare six observational methods for assessing arm- and hand-intensive tasks, based on literature review. The comparison was conducted in viewpoints of body regions, force/external load, motion repetition, other factors including static posture, coupling, duration/break, pace, temperature, precision task, and final risk or exposure level. The number of risk factors assessed was more, and assessment procedure was more complex than the observational methods for assessing whole-body postural loads such as Ovako Working Posture Analysis System(OWAS), Rapid Upper Limb Assessment(RULA), and Rapid Entire Body Assessment(REBA). Due to these, the intra- and inter-reliabilities were not high. A past study showed that while Hand Arm Risk Assessment Method(HARM) identified the smallest proportion of the work tasks as high risk, Strain Index(SI) and Quick Exposure Check(QEC) hand/wrist were the most rigorous with classifying most work tasks as high risk. This study showed that depending on the observational technique compared, the evaluation factors, risk or exposure level, and evaluation results were different, making it necessary to select a technique appropriate for the characteristics of the work being assessed.

소뇌와 뇌교의 정상 자기공명분광 소견: 같은 장비내 및 다른 장비간의 결과 비교 (Normal MR Spectroscopic Findings of the Cerebellum and Pons: Comparison of the Results between Intra-Unit and Inter-Unit Studies)

  • 목적 : 정상 성인에셔 소뇌와 뇌교의 MRS의 정상 소견과 대사물질비의 정상값을 구하고, 같은 장비에서 반복 시행한 결과의 차이와 다른 장비간의 결과의 차이가 어느 정도인지를 알아보고자 하였다. 대상 및 방법 : 건강한 9명의 정상 자원자(평균연령 23세)를 대상으로 두 개의 서로 다론 1.5T MR 장비 (A, B 장비)에서 각각 두 번씩 총 4회의 MRS를 양측 소뇌 반구와 뇌교에셔 시행하였 다. 스핀에코 단일화적소기법을 이용하였고 소뇌에서는 $2{\times}2{\times}1.5{\;}em$의 voxel 크기를, 뇌교 에서는 $1.5{\times}1.5{\times}1.5{\;}cm$의 voxel을 적용하였다. TR/TE는 2000/288 msec, Averaging 은 128회로 하였다. 소뇌와 뇌교의 NAA/Cho, NAA/Cr, NAA/(Cho+Cr), Cr/Cho 비를 peak height와 peak area로 각각 구하여, 같은 장비 내 (intra-unit) , 그리고 다론 장비간 (inter-unit)의 정상값에 유의한 차이가 있는지를 알아보았다. 결과 : A 장비에서 첫번째로 시행한 peak height NAA/Cho, NAA/Cr, NAA/(Cho+ Cr), CriCho 비의 평균값(표준편차는 소뇌에서 각각 $1.08{\pm}0.16,{\;}1.44{\pm}0.286,{\;}0.61{\pm}0.09,{\;}0.76{\pm}0.13$ 였고, 두번째 시행한 결과와 비교할 때 장비내 차이는 3-7% 였다. B장비에서 시 행한 2회의 검사 사이에서는 22% 의 차이를 보인 Cr/Cho를 제외하면 1-9% 의 장비내 차이 를 보였다. A, B 두 장비 간 차이는 1-26%였다. 뇌교에서는 A장비 첫번째 peak height 측정 치는 $1.51{\pm}0.35,{\;}3.35{\pm}0.78,{\;}1.02{\pm}0.16,{\;}0.47{\pm}0.14$로서, 소뇌보다 NAA/Cho, NAA/Cr, NAA!(Cho+Cr) 비가 유의하게 높았다. 장비내 차이는 A장비에서 2-21 %였고, B장비에서 4-18%였다. A, B 두 장비간 차이는 1-18% 였다. peak area로 구한 대사산물비의 평균값은 peak height 의 그것에 비해 전반적으로 두 장비에서 높거나 광범위한 변이를 보였다. 결론 : 소뇌의 NAA/Cho과 NAA/Cr의 평균값이 뇌교의 그것보다 유의하게 낮았다. 같은 장비 내에서 반복 시행한 평균값의 차이는 대체적으로 유의한 차이가 없었으나, 다른 장비에서 반복 시행한 장비간의 사이에는 유의한 차이가 있는 경우가 더 많았다. 따라서 , MRS 검사를 소뇌나 뇌교의 어떤 절환에 적용하기 전에 각 장비 마다 정상 기준치를 반드시 얻은 후에 이상여부를 판 정하는 것이 필수적이라고 생각된다.

  • It is important to know the variations of the mechanical properties in the hydroforming process for the safe and durable design purposes. In this study, strain hardening behavior during hydroforming has been investigated by hydroforming of engine cradle as a model process. The variation of mechanical properties such as local hardness and flow stress were used as an index of strain hardening during respective processes. By using the inter-relationships between hardness-flow stress-effective strain at variable pre-strains, the strain hardening behavior during hydroforming has been successfully analyzed. The comparison of predicted hardness with measured hardness confirmed that the methodology used in this study was feasible and the strain hardening behavior can be quantitatively estimated.

Purification During Crossflow Electromicrofiltration of Fermentation Broth

  • The present study was to investigate the purification of a fermentation broth by an electromicrofiltration membrane. Microfiltration runs with a crude and a centrifuged broth, with solution of particles recovered from centrifugation and with permeates from microfiltration experiments were thus compared. Microfiltration performances were governed by colloids and small particles that induced sharp initial flux declines. For these results, the evolution of the overall membrane resistance was increased by $80\%$ in comparison with the electromicrofiltration membrane. The main focus of this study was set on the enhancement of the filtrate flux by an electric field. This pressure electrofiltration leads to a drastic improvement of the filtration by $100\%$ and the filtration time was thereby reduced. Pressure electrofiltration serves as an inter­esting alternative to the cross-flow filtration and it effectively separates advantageous constitu­ents such as amino acids and biopolymers from a fermentation broth. They were equally main­tained during the microelectrofiltration, although they were significantly reduced by $45\%$ by the microfiltration without the application of an electric field. Accordingly, since the electrofiltration membrane was provided more permeability, this study experimentally demonstrates that the permeability inside a membrane can be controlled using an electric field.

Performance Comparison of MMSE and Blind Equalization for Digital Holographic Data Storage System

  • In this paper, minimum mean-squared-error(MMSE) and blind equalization schemes were employed to improve bit-error-rate(BER) and to reduce inter-symbol interference(ISI) generated during storage and retrieval processes of two-dimensional data in a digital holographic data storage system. We explained methods for designing and applying MMSE and blind equalization to improve BER in a digital holographic data storage system. From experimental evaluations, we compared the BER performances of MMSE and blind equalization and we showed that the BER performances of MMSE and blind equalization were improved significantly compared with those before equalization.

한국 제조기업의 기술혁신보호방법 결정요인과 상호보완성 (Determinants and Complementarities of the Technological Innovation Protection Mechanisms of Korean Manufacturing Firms)

  • This study aims to analyze determinants and complementarities of the technological innovation protection mechanisms of Korean manufacturing firms. The results of the inter-industry comparison show that there are differentiations of the determinants among industries. Independence between legal and strategic protection mechanisms is found in the high technology industry, whereas complementarities exist between them in the low technology industry. It implies that the firms should take into account their endogenous and exogenous factors to choose appropriate combinations of the mechanisms when they build up their innovation protection strategies. This study expects to contribute to establishing technological innovation protection strategies in manufacturing industry.

순수비틀림을 받는 프리스트레스트 콘크리트 보의 비틀림 강도 예측 (Prediction of the Torsional Strength of PSC Beams Subjected to Pure Torsion)

  • The evaluation equation of torsional moment for prestressed concrete members in ACI 318-95 ignores the contribution of concrete, T$_{c}$. Several research indicates that the current ACI code is not successful in predicting the observed torsional moment of the PSC beams with reasonable accuracy. This paper proposes an evaluation equation of torsional moment taking into account the inter-effects between concrete and torsional reinforcement on the torsional resistance of the PSC beams. According to the comparison with the 31 test results, the torsion equation in ACI code underestimated or overestimated the real torsional moment of prestressed concrete beams. On the other hand, the proposed torsional equation is shown to be in a good agreement with experimental results.s.

Seismic behavior of non-seismically designed reinforced concrete frame structure

  • This paper presents a study on a non-seismically designed reinforced concrete (RC) frame structure. The structure was a existing three-story office building constructed according to the 1990s practice in Vietnam. The 1/3 scaled down versions of structure was tested on a shake table to investigate the seismic performance of this type of construction. It was found that the inter-story drift and the overall behavior of structure meet the requirements of the actual seismic design codes. Then, nonlinear time history analyses are carried out using the fiber beam- column elements. The comparison between the experimental and simulation results shows the performance of the time history analysis models.
