  • Recently, as variant malware has increased, the scale of cyber hacking incidents is expanding. To respond to intelligent cyberhacking attack, machine learning-based research is actively underway to effectively classify malware families. However, existing classification models have problems where performance deteriorates when the dataset is obfuscated or sparse. In this paper, we propose a hybrid dataset that combines features extracted from ASM files and BYTES files, and evaluate classification performance using FNN. As a result of the experiment, the proposed method showed performance improvement of about 4% compared to a single dataset, and in particular, performance improvement of about 30% for rare families.

  • Recently, deep learning is used for intelligent processing and accuracy improvement of data. It is formed calculation model composed of multi data processing layer that train the data representation through an abstraction of the various levels. A category of deep learning, convolution neural network is utilized in various research fields, which are human pose estimation, face recognition, image classification, speech recognition. When using the deep layer and lots of class, CNN that show a good performance on image classification obtain higher classification rate but occur the overfitting problem, when using a few data. So, we design the training network based on convolution neural network and trained our image data set for object classification in few class problem. The experiment show the higher classification rate of 7.06% in average than the previous networks designed to classify the object in 1000 class problem.

  • Microarray classification typically possesses two striking attributes: (1) classifier design and error estimation are based on remarkably small samples and (2) cross-validation error estimation is employed in the majority of the papers. A Microarray data of ovarian cancer consists of the expressions of thens of thousands of genes, and there is no systematic procedure to analyze this information instantaneously. In this paper, gene markers are selected by ranking genes according to statistics, popular classification rules - linear discriminant analysis, k-nearest-neighbor and decision trees - has been performed comparing classification accuracy of data selecting gene markers and not selecting gene markers. The Result that apply linear classification analysis at Microarray data set including marker gene that are selected using ANOVA method represent the highest classification accuracy of 97.78% and the lowest prediction error estimate.

  • To solve the limitation of traffic monitoring that occur from embedded sensor such as loop and piezo sensors, the thermal imaging camera was installed on the roadside. As the length of Class 1(passenger car) is getting longer, it is becoming difficult to classify from Class 3(2-axle truck) by using an embedded sensor. The collected images were labeled to generate training data. A total of 17,536 vehicle images (640x480 pixels) training data were produced. CNN (Convolutional Neural Network) was used to achieve vehicle classification based on thermal image. Based on the limited data volume and quality, a classification accuracy of 97.7% was achieved. It shows the possibility of traffic monitoring system based on AI. If more learning data is collected in the future, 12-class classification will be possible. Also, AI-based traffic monitoring will be able to classify not only 12-class, but also new various class such as eco-friendly vehicles, vehicle in violation, motorcycles, etc. Which can be used as statistical data for national policy, research, and industry.

  • In this paper, we implemented a Korean text generation and classification model based on a deep learning algorithm that can be applied to various industries. It consists of two implemented GAN-based Korean handwriting generation models and CNN-based Korean handwriting classification models. The GAN model consists of a generator model for generating fake Korean handwriting data and a discriminator model for discriminating fake handwritten data. In the case of the CNN model, the model was trained using the 'PHD08' dataset, and the learning result was 92.45. It was confirmed that Korean handwriting was classified with % accuracy. As a result of evaluating the performance of the classification model by integrating the Korean cursive data generated through the implemented GAN model and the training dataset of the existing CNN model, it was confirmed that the classification performance was 96.86%, which was superior to the existing classification performance.

  • Braincomputer interface (BCI) technology is making advances in the field of humancomputer interaction (HCI). To improve the BCI technology, we study the changes in the electroencephalogram (EEG) signals for six levels of grip strength: 10%, 20%, 40%, 50%, 70%, and 80% of the maximum voluntary contraction (MVC). The measured EEG data are categorized into three classes: Weak, Medium, and Strong. Features are then extracted using power spectrum analysis and multiclass-common spatial pattern (multiclass-CSP). Feature datasets are classified using a support vector machine (SVM). The accuracy rate is higher for the Strong class than the other classes.

  • In this study, we develop a method for recognizing face images by combining wavelet decomposition, fisherface method, and fuzzy integral. The proposed approach comprises of four main stages. The first stage uses the wavelet decomposition. As a result of this decomposition, we obtain four subimages. The second stage of the approach applies a fisherface method to these four subimage sets. The two last phases are concerned with the generation of the degree of fuzzy membership and the aggregation of the individual classifiers by means of the fuzzy integral. The experimental results obtained for the CNU and Yale face databases reveal that the approach presented in this study yields better classification performance in comparison to the results produced by other classifiers.

  • This paper presents a robust algorithm for edge detection based on fuzzy fusion, using a novel local edge information measure based on Renyi's a-order entropy. The calculation of the proposed measure is carried out using a parametric classification scheme based on local statistics. By suitably tuning its parameters, the local edge information measure is capable of extracting different types of edges, while exhibiting high immunity to noise. The notions of fuzzy measures and the Choquet fuzzy integral are applied to combine the different sources of information obtained using the local edge information measure with different sets of parameters. The effectiveness and the robustness of the new method are demonstrated by applying our algorithm to various synthetic computer-generated and real-world images.

  • Fuzzy Min-Max Neural Network(FMMNN) is a powerful classifier, It has, however, some problems. Learning result depends on the presentation order of input data and the training parameter that limits the size of hyperbox. The latter problem affects the result seriously. In this paper, the new approach to alleviate that without loss of on-line learning ability is proposed. The committee machine is used to achieve the multi-resolution FMMNN. Each expert is a FMMNN with fixed training parameter. The advantages of small and large training parameters are used at the same time. The parameters are selected by performance and independence measures. The Decision of each expert is guided by the gating network. Therefore the regional and parametric divide and conquer scheme are used. Simulation shows that the proposed method has better classification performance.
