Design and Evaluation of a Social Networking Site (SNS) Supported Collaborative Learning Environment for Vocabulary Learning

  • Vocabulary learning plays an important role in language learning. This study explored a new paradigm based on social networking site (SNS) supported collaborative learning for vocabulary learning. SNS supported collaborative learning (SSCL) can effectively promote learners' engagement, interest and motivation by providing a more communicative and interactive environment. However, vocabulary learning studies on SSCL mainly focused on the effectiveness and influencing factors, lacking specific instructional strategies. Therefore, this study aims to develop instructional strategies that guide instructors to create an SSCL environment for facilitating vocabulary learning. The final instructional strategies are composed of three stages according to the course process, consisting of 8 general strategies and 21 specific guidelines. The content validity was ensured by four experts in the field of educational technology. The instructional strategies were then applied in an actual classroom with 16 students. The positive responses from the instructor and learners indicated that SSCL can be reasonably incorporated into the current curriculum to provide effective learning opportunities and to promote learners' vocabulary learning.

간호학생의 임상실습 만족도에 관한 조사연구 (Level Satisfaction on Clinical Practice of Baccalaureate Nursing Students)

  • As it Provides nursing students the opportunity for correlating principles and practice, clinical practice h s been considered as on of the most important part of nursing education. This study was desinged to measure the level of satisfaction in according with the conten. guidance environment. hours and the evaluation of clinical pracice. and to investigate the extent of influence of the variables have on the level of satisfaction. Two hundred and fifty-two nursing students from 9 baccalaureat programs in Seoule were randomly sampled. Instrument consists of forty questionaires. developed by the researcher, was used to gather data data from September 7 through 22, 1978. The level of satisfaction was measured by 5 Point rating scale(Likert-type). and level of significance were(t-test. F-test & X$^2$-test). -Results are as follow; 1. Level of satisfation according to the four variables ( class health. academic achievement, motives) revealed no significant difference. (P>.05). Hypothesis 1,2,3,4, are rejected. 2. Level of satisfaction according to the two variables (clinical instructor interpersonal relationship) revealed significant difference. (p<.01, p<.05), Hypothesis 5,6 are accepted. 3. Level of satisfaction of contents (mean score=3.02) revealed to be high.. 4. Level of satisfaction on guidance (mean Score=2.37), environment (mean score=2.59), hours (mean score=2.72) and evaluation (mean score=2.50) revealed to be low. 5. Level of satisfaction revealed to be low. (total mean satisfaction score =2.64).

대학의 학습공간에 대한 사용자 인식 조사 (User Evaluation of University Learning Spaces)

  • As the information age matures, the learning style of youth is changing rapidly. Students study at a variety of places such as cafe or lobbies utilizing various digital learning devices. Along with the place changes, learning methods are also changing. Student-centered learning methods such as smart learning, collaborative learning, and activity-based learning are increasingly being utilized instead of the traditional instructor-centered learning in which knowledge is unilaterally delivered. Accordingly, many universities are remodeling central libraries, and they are also transforming lobby spaces of the college buildings into simple but useful learning spaces. In this study, we analyze the characteristics of learning spaces in universities from the standpoint of the students. According to the analysis, overall satisfaction is high in terms of comfortable physical learning environments such as Wi-Fi, furniture, lighting, etc. But the spaces are still optimized for individual and intensive learning. There seems to be a lack of effort to support collaborative learning or activity-based learning. This observation is confirmed by the characteristics of the central library, and it is considered that the reason why the college buildings are preferred by students is that college buildings are more suitable for collaborative or activity-based learning than libraries.

이해당사자 기반 평생교육실습 프로그램 평가척도 개발 (Development of Stakeholder-based Evaluation Scales for the Lifelong Education Field Training Program)

  • 본 연구는 평생교육실습 프로그램의 관련 이해당사자를 기반 하여 평생교육실습 프로그램을 다면적으로 평가할 수 있는 평가척도를 개발하는 데 목적이 있다. 이를 위해 통합연구방법 모형 중 질적연구와 양적연구를 순차적으로 실시하는 순차적 탐구 전략을 적용하였다. 연구과정은 먼저, 평생교육실습 프로그램 관련 문헌분석을 통해 주요 이해당사자를 실습생, 담당교수자, 실습지도자, 프로그램 관리자의 네 집단으로 선정하고, 이해당사자들의 평가관점 및 평가내용을 탐색하였다. 탐색된 평가내용을 보완하기 위하여 현장에서 활동 중인 13명의 전문가를 대상으로 심층면담을 실시한 후, 문헌분석과 심층면담을 통해 도출된 내용을 각 이해당사자별로 평가영역, 평가부문, 평가항목의 위계를 가진 초안을 구성하였다. 구성된 초안은 평가척도의 내용타당도를 확보하기 위해 35명의 전문가 패널을 활용하여 이해당사자별로 각각 2~3회기의 델파이 조사를 시행하였다. 이후 델파이 조사를 통해 전문가들의 의견이 반영된 평가척도를 활용하여 실습생 90명, 담당교수자 22명, 실습지도자 31명을 대상으로 적용하였다. 기술통계값, 타당도 및 신뢰도를 확인하여 평생교육실습 프로그램의 이해당사자별 평가척도를 최종 확정하였다. 본 연구의 결과로 실습생 평가척도는 8개 평가영역, 14개 평가부문, 51개 평가항목, 담당교수자 평가척도는 6개 평가영역, 10개 평가부문, 40개 평가항목으로 이루어졌다. 실습지도자 평가척도는 3개 평가영역, 7개 평가부문, 31개 평가항목으로 완성되었으며, 프로그램 관리자 평가척도는 7개 평가영역, 15개 평가부문, 32개 평가항목으로 구성되었다. 이해당사자 기반 평생교육실습 프로그램 평가척도는 평생교육실습 프로그램의 효과적인 운영을 위해 진행단계에 따른 각 이해당사자 입장의 변수들을 밝혀내어 개발된 것으로서 현장에서 실시되고 있는 프로그램의 내적 충실도를 규명하는 데 유용하고 객관적인 정보를 제공할 수 있을 것으로 기대된다.

수업의 질 관리 및 개선을 위한 CQI양식 연구 (A Study on CQI Form for Quality Management and Improvement of Class)

  • 본 연구는 수업의 질 관리 및 개선을 위해 A대학에서 실행되고 있는 교과목 CQI양식에 대해 살펴보았다. A대학에서는 역량기반 교육과정으로의 개편아래에 수업의 계획, 과정, 결과가 체계적으로 관리 될 수 있도록 CQI양식을 개선하였다. 본 연구는 문헌연구를 통해 CQI양식을 제안하였고 외부 전문가검증을 통해서 타당성을 확보하였다. 주요 연구 결과는 다음과 같다. 첫째, CQI양식 개발시 수업의 계획, 운영, 결과, 피드백 등 수업의 전 과정을 평가 및 환류 할 수 있도록 문항을 구성하였다. 둘째, 지난학기-당해학기-다음학기 이렇게 3단계로 나누어 종합분석 및 개선 계획을 작성하도록 하여 지속적인 수업의 개선 및 환류의 효과를 얻도록 하였다. 셋째, CQI작성시 수업계획서, 강의평가 결과를 연동하여 교수자의 편리성을 높였다. 넷째, 교수자에게 객관적인 결과(평가도구별 성취도 결과, 강의평가 결과)를 제공하여 이를 토대로 충분한 성찰을 할 수 있도록 하였다. 본 연구는 향후 교과목 CQI 개발에 시사점을 제공하였다는 점에서 의의가 있다.

중환자실의 현장실무 강화교육 프로그램이 간호학생의 임상수행능력과 임상실습교육 만족도에 미치는 효과 (Effects of Clinical Practicum Reinforcement Program on Nursing Student's Clinical Competency and Satisfaction in the ICU)

  • Purpose: To identify the effects of clinical practicum reinforcement program on nursing student's clinical competency and satisfaction in the ICU. Methods: The study utilized a quasi-experimental pretest-posttest research design. The participant was 76 senior nursing students, who were engaged in two week-long clinical practicum in ICU at the C university hospital in a G city, Korea. The clinical practicum reinforcement program was applied to the experimental group (n=39), while the control group (n=37) was involved in the conventional practicum program. The collected data were analyzed using descriptive analysis, $x^2$/Fisher's exact test, and t-test, ANCOVA with SPSS/WIN 18.0 program. Results: After 2 weeks' clinical practicum, the experimental group showed a statistically significant increase in the clinical performance abilities by self evaluation, when compared to the control group. Clinical instructor's evaluation on the student's clinical performance revealed that the experimental group showed higher level in nursing activity than that of the control group (p<.001). However, there was no significant difference between the two groups in terms of the satisfaction on the clinical practicum program except the learning guidance and the evaluation. Conclusion: The clinical practicum reinforcement program is an effective one for improving the student's clinical competency.

대화형 이러닝 콘텐츠에 관한 사용자 경험(UX) 질적 평가 (User Experience(UX) Qualitative Evaluation of Dialogue e-learning contents)

  • 코로나 19라는 전세계적 위기를 맞이하여 이러닝은 '뉴노멀(new normal)'이라는 이름으로 새로운 표준과 일상이 되고 있다. 본 연구에서는 기존의 일방향적, 교수자 중심적 독백형 이러닝 콘텐츠 분석 평가하였다. 총 20명의 성인 학습자가 참여하였고, 1:1 인터뷰를 통한 사용자 경험 평가를 진행하였고, 질적 데이터 분석을 실시하였다. 사용자 경험 평가 결과, 대화형 이러닝은 다양한 의견에 공감할 수 있고 새로운 이러닝 형태로 신선하였다고 응답하였다. 독백형과 대화형 이러닝 콘텐츠에 관한 개인적 선호에 관해 55%의 학습자가 대화형을 선호한다고 답하였고, 실제 경험을 공유하며 참신하다고 답하였다. 한편, 내용 이해 효과성측면에서 선호도는 60% 학습자가 독백형을 선택하였고, 충분한 개념 설명과 정확한 지식 전달을 지적하였다. 연구 결과를 토대로 대화형 이러닝 콘텐츠 설계와 개발을 위한 개선 방안을 제안하였다.

국내 체험환경교육 프로그램의 운영 현황 및 개선 방안 연구 (Site-Based Environmental Education in the Republic of Korea : Current Status and Needs)

  • This article describes the current status of site-based environmental education (EE) in the Republic of Korea. Implications for site-based EE program development and operation are presented and recommendations for an improvement are provided. Questionnaires were mailed to 205 schools and organizations where site-based EE programs operated in 2002 with funding from the Korean Ministry of Environment. The questionnaire was designed and used to examine the scope, operation, and needs of site-based EE programs. The response rate was 27.3%. The results of the survey indicated that 'awareness', 'participation', and 'attitude' were addressed by the program goals and objectives more than 'knowledge' and 'skills'. The survey also indicated that activities in the programs were not variable and most were teacher/instructor-centered. Most of the programs reflected the 'connection with everyday life, direct experience and sensitivity'. There were some difficulties in motivating students and finding a good location and qualified instructional staff. Needs included well-designed program development and dissemination, professional development, increased funding support, and more effective program evaluation.

Role-Play Training Factors that Positively Influence Training Satisfaction and Customer Service Orientation

  • Purpose - The purpose of this study is to examine the influence of effective role-play and training on employee education satisfaction and customer orientation. Evidence of the suggested objective is obtained by monitoring the effectiveness of hotel service training. Research design, data, and methodology - Data were collected from 280 role-play sessions performed in a Korean Hotel and examined using a frequency analysis, reliability/validity assessments, correlation analysis, and regression analysis using SPSS 19.0. Results - 1) Entrepreneurs and training instructors should enthusiastically apply service education in order to enhance each employee d evaluation in terms of customer satisfaction and customer orientation. 2) The most effective factor on customer satisfaction and orientation is the instructor's qualifications. 3) Since a higher level of education-training satisfaction leads to better customer orientation, effective education-training is essential to achieve this result. Conclusions - The study was able to obtain practical evidence that can confirm that service education-training through role-play positively affects employee customer service orientation. In future advanced research on training effects on customer orientation, various internal factors of a business should also be considered.

임상교육의 효과적인 대안에 관한 연구 (The effective approaches of clinical nursing education)

  • Nursing is indeed a practice discipline with experiential learning in clinical practice areas comprising an overwhelming portion of a Nursing Student's education. The statement is used to provide a basis for discussion of some issues involved in relation to clinical nursing education. However the lack of substantial research in the area of clinical nursing education would suggest that this 'heart' of the nursing student's professional education has olng been ignored. The purpose of this study is to critically review and analysis then suggest effective approaches of clinical nursing education. First. the curriculum can be developed by faculty consistently. Curriculum design begins with the writing of philosophy and the selection of objectives for the program. The philosophy must include a statement of beliefs and intrinc values about human being. nursing and teaching learning process. Second. faculty practice can be narrowed practice-theory gaps. Third. clinical teaching strategies can be used many different methods in order to facilitate development of clinical judgement and decision making. Fourth, clinical teacher's rols can influence student's learning attitude and intrinsic value; relating to students as mature individuals; creating an atomosphere where in the student felt comfortable approaching the instructor; providing support crisis situations. Fifth. clinical nursing evaluation can be developed the integrated models.
