This study aimed to verify the validity of a measurement tool for Vietnamese high school students' systems thinking abilities. Two quantitative assessment tools, the Systems Thinking Measuring Instrument (Lee et al., 2013) and the Systems Thinking Scale (Dolansky et al., 2020), were used to measure students' systems thinking after translation into Vietnamese. As a result, it was revealed that Cronbach-α for each tool (i.e., STMI and STS) was .917 and .950, respectively, indicating high reliability for both. To validate the construct validity of the translated questionnaire, exploratory factor analysis was performed using SPSS 26.0, and confirmatory factor analysis was performed using AMOS 21.0. For concurrent validity, correlation analysis using structural equation modeling was performed to validate the translated questionnaire. Exploratory factor analysis revealed that 10 items from the STMI and 12 items from the STS loaded on the intended factors and appropriate factor loading values were obtained. For confirmatory factor analysis, a structural equation model organized with 10 items from the STMI and 12 items from the STS was used. The result of this showed that the convergent validity values of the model were all appropriate, and the model fit indices were analyzed to be χ2/df of 1.892, CFI of .928, TLI of .919, SRMR of .047, and RMSEA of .063, indicating that the model consisting of the 22 items of the two questionnaires was appropriate. Analysis of the concurrent validity of the two tools indicated a high correlation coefficient (.903) and high correlation (.571-.846) among the subfactors. In conclusion, both the STMI and STS are valid quantitative measures of systems thinking, and it can be inferred that the systems thinking of Vietnamese high-school students can be quantitatively measured using the 22 items identified in our analysis. Using the tool validated in this study with other tools (e.g., qualitative assessment) can help accurately measure Vietnamese high school students' systems thinking abilities. Furthermore, these tools can be used to collect evidence and support effective education in ODA projects and volunteer programs.
The purpose of this study was to investigate the effects of role assignment in a group on collaboration in a mid- dle school science class to which Collaborative Problem Solving for Character Competency (CoProC) model was applied. For this purpose, 4 classes in the second year of a middle school located in a small and medium-sized city were selected, two classes among these were assigned roles, and the other classes were not. The science class with 4 topics using CoProC model was carried out. As a result of the study, in middle school science class to which CoProC was applied, it was effective in increasing the collaboration. As a result of analyzing the discussion process using the analysis framework for collaboration developed in this study, the group without role assignment was statistically significantly higher than the group with role assignment in the total score and the four sub-factors, especially in 'partnership building' and 'consensus building' which is a high level of collaboration.

In physics education, the research on students' conceptions has developed in the discussion on the nature and the difficulty of conceptual change. Recently, mental models have been a theoretical background in concrete arguments on "how students' conceptions are constructed or created." Mental models that integrate information in the presented problem and individual knowledge in their long-term memory have important information about not only expressed ideas but also in the thinking process behind the expressed ideas. The purpose of this study is to investigate the forming process and the characteristics of high school student's mental models about circular motion, and how they were changed by instruction. We used the think-aloud method based on the instrument for identifying student's mental models about circular motion, pretest of physics concept, mind map and interview for investigating student's characteristics. The results of the study showed that instructions based on the mental model theory facilitated scientific expressed model, but several factors that affected forming mental models like epistemological belief didn't change scientifically after 3 lessons.

The purpose of this study is aimed at giving proof that helps the elementary practical arts education system accomplish as the effects are turned out experimentally. Two classes of the sixth grade of J elementary school in Dae-gu have been selected in order to be experimented. One was chosen as an experimental group, the other was done as a comparative group. The creative-problem-solving learning-model was applied to the experimental group, and the traditional way of teaching was applied to the comparative group. For four classes of the sixth grades, ‘chapter 8: Making with recycled materials’ was proceeded as the content. Then. tests about the way of environmental awareness and creativity were carried out twice. After that, the results of pre and after-test in the comparative and experiment groups were compared using the t-test method. Following the analysis of the data collected in this study. the following major observations were obtained: First, children who were educated the creative problem-solving in a practical arts education achieved higher scores than before. Therefore, it turns out that the CPS method is an effective way to improve the environmental awareness in children. It showed that it included lots of daily habits connected with daily life and it made the intention to carry out the environment-preservation stronger and children´s attitude towards the environment improved. Moreover, making with recycled materials was used to solve an environmental problem, affecting in a positive way in our life. It also made the positive recognition about the environment. Second. the application of the creative problem-solving class of the practical arts education can make positive results to children. It helped children to have more interest in the environment around them. Children´s fluency, flexibility and originality in their ideas were improved as much as possible while they were solving problems. Consequently, the application of the creative problem-solving class model of elementary practical arts environmental education lets children expand environment consciousness and creativity.
This study developed and applied the teacher education model and its principles for science classes using Virtual and Augmented Reality (VR/AR) content and analyzed preservice elementary teachers' feedback on the teacher education model and the changes in their perceptions as to the use of VR/AR content. First, existing Technological Pedagogical Content Knowledge (TPACK) teacher education models and prior studies on the use of the VR/AR contents were reviewed to derive the teacher education model to cultivate the VR/AR-TPACK and set the key principles for each of its stages. The developed teacher education model has five stages: exploration, mapping, collaborative design, practice, and reflection. Second, to examine the appropriateness of the model's five stages and principles, we applied it within the regular course of instruction at the university of education, which was attended by 25 preservice elementary teachers. This study collected data from surveys on the perception of the usage of VR/AR contents before and after the course, as well as the group lesson plans prepared by the preservice teachers, and their feedback on the teacher education model. The feedback on the teacher education model and the survey conducted by the preservice teachers before and after the course were analyzed through open coding and categorization. As a result, most preservice teachers expressed positive opinions about the activities and experiences at each stage of the implementation of the teacher education model. Perceptions related to the usage of the VR/AR content changed in three aspects: first, the vague positive perception of the VR/AR content has changed to a positive perception based on specific educational affordance. Second, they recognized the need for preparedness by anticipating potential problems associated with the use of the VR/AR content. Third, they came to view the VR/AR contents as a useful instructional resource that the teachers could use. Based on these results, we discussed the implications for the VR/AR-TPACK teacher education model and assessed the limitations of the research.
In this paper, we study the methods of improving an ability of a creative solving mathematical problem belonging to an educational system which every province office of education has adopted for the mathematically talented students. Especially, we give an attention on a preferential reaction in teaching styles according to student's LQ., the relationship between student's LQ. and an ability of creative solving mathematical problems, and seeking for an appropriative teaching methods of the improvement ability of a creative solving problem. As results, we have the followings; 1. The group having excellent students who have a higher intelligential ability prefers inquiry learning which is composed of several sub-groups to a teacher-centered instruction. 2. The correlation coefficient between student's LQ. and an ability creative solving of mathematical is not high. 3. Although the contents and the model of thematic inquiry learning don't have a great influence on the divergent thinking (ex. fluency, flexibility, originality), they affect greatly the convergent thinking - a creative mathematical - problem solving ability. Accordingly, our results show that we should use a variety of mathematical teaching materials apart from our regular textbooks used in schools to improve a creative mathematical problem solving ability in the process of thematic inquiry learning. Also we can see that an inquiry learning which stimulates student's participation and discussion can be a desirable model in the thematic mathematical classroom activities.
Application developers need effective reuseable methodology to meet rapidly changes and variety of users requirements. Product Line and CBD(Component Based Development) offer the great benefits on quality and productivity for developing the software that is mainly associate with reusable architectures and components in a specific domain and rapidly changing environments. Product line can dynamically focus on the commonality and variety feature model among the products. The product line uses the feature modeling for discovering, analyzing, and mediating interactions between products. Reusable architectures include many variety plans and mechanisms. In case of those architecture are use in product version for a long time, It is very important in architecture product line context for product line design phase. Application developer need to identify the proper location of architecture changing for variety expression. It is lack of specific variety managements to design the product line architecture until nowdays. In this paper, we define various variety types to identify the proper location of architecture changing for variety expression and to design the reusable architecture. We also propose architecture variety on feature model and describe variety expression on component relations. We implemented the web learning system based on the methodology. We finally describe how these methodology may assist in increasing the efficiency, reusability, productivity and quality to develop an application. In the future, we are going to apply the methodology into various domain and suggest international and domestic's standardization.
This study analyzed the social image of children from the 1960s to 1990s in the Dong-A Ilbo advertising. The 7,760 representative ad samples were used for the purpose of this study. The findings were as follows: 1) The number of advertising related to children was similar in the 1960s and 1970s and it dramatically increased in the 1990s. 2) Drug advertising was the most frequent from the 1960s until the 1980s. The advertising of english instruction for young children emerged in the 1990s. 3) Young children, especially boys were mostly the model in advertising from the 1960s to the 1990s. 4) Advertising content focused on the role of the mother in early childhood education.

Cooperative web-based learning is an teaching strategy in which small teams, each of students with different levels of ability, use a variety of learning activities to improve their understanding of a subject via the web. The objective of this paper is to propose new assessment items for evaluating students fairly in cooperative web-based learning. As a result, improved academic achievement, improved behavior and attendance, and increased self-confidence can be made in cooperative web-based learning due to the fair assessment, In this paper, the environment and instructional strategies for successful learning are firstly examined. In addition, the existing evaluation items in traditional classroom are also analyzed in order to develop new evaluation criteria in the web. Based on these analyzed items, we propose new evaluation items for cooperative web-based learning. In addition, the proposed items related to participant ratio, cooperability, and accountability are analyzed according to team organization styles and instructional models.

This study develops a training program for vocational high school students. This study implemented the ADDIE teaching-learning model and was conducted in the sequence of analyses, design, development, implementation and evaluation. In the analysis phase, the existing studies related to vocational competency training were analyzed along with an analysis of the current education programs and suitability assessment. Based on the analysis, the education program was designed and contents were determined. The program consisted of 5 chapters and 17 unit hours of instruction. Reigeluth's (1987) theory was used as the framework for organizing educational materials in the development phase. The programs were implemented on students and evaluated by students as well as experts. Students evaluated the program in terms of the degree of motivation for learning, comprehension of learning content, perceptions of lessons in classes as well as the advantages and disadvantages of the program. Experts evaluated the program in terms of program validity. The results indicate the developed program was useful for training students vocational competencies as shop managers. This study contributes to the field of fashion education, by presenting an example of systematic development of an educational program in connection with industry.
