  • A testing inspection is one of the important in the industry, owing to determine the reliability and directivity of testing inspection results. Therefore, the quality assurance and quality control (QA/QC) work which performed by personnel not directly in the inventory compilation development, in testing inspection must be thoroughly considered. Some agencies for environmental test inspection, they sometimes misunderstood that the QA/QC was ended with proficiency testing performance and on-site assessment by a director. Thus, results were often calculated without QA/QC work by self manual when conducting test. The objective of this study was to improve reliability of testing and inspection agency through the QA/QC case study which basically performed to raising reliability of testing and inspection agency. In this study, it increased reliability of result by verifying calibration curve (IC, ICV, CCV), blank, accuracy (LCS, MS) and precision as QA/QC performance, while performing investigation of soil contamination in mining areas. This study suggests that reliability establishing method of test result and management method of analysis process, through the QA/QC instance of testing agency.

  • Touch trigger probes are widely used for inspection purposed in the CMM(Coordinate meauring machine) or machine tool. The errors introduced by measurement probe are fairy systematic, thus can be calibrated and compensated properly. This paper presents a technique for the error calibration and compensation of the probe errors, which can be easily applicable to the manufacturers and users of the measurement probe. The probe coordinate system is defined for the probe error assessment, and a reference sphere ball is measured, and the probe errors are calibrated. The calibrated probe errors are represented in the 3D error map and 2D error map along probing direction. Detail algorithms for the error compensation are proposed.

  • Inspection and shape measurement of three-dimensional objects are widely needed in industries for quality monitoring and control. In this paper, we propose a three dimensional volume reconstruction method, which is an iterative method and as uniform and simulated algebraic reconstruction technique (USART). In this method, two or more x-ray images projected from different views are needed, and also the geometry of the imaging system need to be a priori identified well. That is to say, the relative locations between the x-ray source, imaging plane and the object should be determined exactly by calibration. To achieve this, we propose a series of coordinate calibration methods of the x-ray imaging system using grid pattern images.   • In this paper, an OMM (On-the-Machine Measuring) system has been developed, which can perform measuring and inspection of sculptured surfaces of die and mold, by use of a scanning-type touch probe mounted into the spindle of a NC machine. The calibration procedures of a scanning prove (SP2-1, Renishaw) and an algorithm for measuring surface points by a ball-nosed stylus have been studied. The system has been developed based on commercial CAM software (Z-Master 2000), and tested through measuring a plastic injection molding-die. Also some experimental results of the calibration and measuring for given surface positions are analyzed to verify its accuracy and reliability.

박판 변형률 측정 오차의 보정에 관한 연구 (Study on the Compensation of Strain Measurement Error in Sheet Metals)

  • In the sheet metal forming operations, the strain measurement of sheet panel is an essential work which provides the formability information needed in die design, process design, and product inspection. To measure efficiently complex geometry strains, the 3-dimensional automative strain measurement system, which theoretically has a high accuracy but practically has about 3~5% strain error, is often used. For eliminating the strain error resulted in measuring the strains of formed panels using an automated strain measurement system, the position error calibration method is suggested, which computes accurate strains using the grids with accurate nodal coordinates. The accurate nodal coordinates are calculated by adding the nodal coordinates measured by the measurement system and the position error found using the multiple regression method as a function of the main error parameters obtained from the analysis of strain error in a standard cube. For the verification, the strain distributions of square and dome cups obtained from the position error calibration method are compared with those provided by the finite element analysis and ASAME.

신경망을 이용한 간단한 카메라교정 (Simple Camera Calibration Using Neural Networks)

  • 카메라 교정(Camera calibration)은 알고있는 월드 좌표계(world coordinate system)의 제어점(control points)들에 대하여 카메라의 내부/외부 인자(internal and external parameters)들을 계산하는 과정이다. 정확한 카메라 교정은 정밀한 측정을 위해서 반드시 요구된다. 본 논문에서, 우리는 3D 기하학이나 카메라 광학에 대한 특별한 지식을 요구하지 않는 신경망을 이용하여 간단하면서도 유연한 카메라 교정을 제안한다. 제안한 방법은 내부/외부 인자를 요구하지 않는 응용 분야에 매우 유용하다. 또한 제안한 카메라 교정은 물체가 이미지 평면과 거의 평행할 경우에 발생하는 악조건(ill-condition)문제를 해결할 수 있는 장점을 가졌다. 이러한 악조건은 시각 시스템을 이용하여 제품 검사를 할 경우에 흔히 발생한다. 좀더 정확한 교정을 위해 획득한 이미지는 렌즈의 방사형 왜곡에 따라 두 개의 지역으로 분할하여 교정된다. 그리고 Tsai의 알고리즘을 이용한 결과와 제안한 방법을 이용하여 교정한 결과를 실험을 통해 타당성을 증명한다.

훠지형태학을 이용한 SMD의 검색 및 부화소단위 정렬 (Inspection and Subpixel Alignment of SMD's U sing Fuzzy Morphology)

  • In this paper, inspection and subpixed alignment algorithms of SMD's (Surface Mounting Devices) using fuzzy morphology are proposed. First, camera calibration is performed and then the inspection algorithm detects defects such as lead bending and breaking using the ruler generated by fuzy morphology. The SMD having no defects is tested whether it is mounted in the specified position or not. The proposed subpixel alignment algorithm detects accurately orientation and position using subpixel interpolation. It consists of two parts: preprocessing and main processing steps, in which corner points and coarse orientation of a SMD are detected, and interpolation is used to obtain final parameters with wubpixel accuracy. The computer simulation shows that the proposed algorithms give more accurate parameters, and they can be applied to fast and accurate automatic surface mounting systems.

  • Under a continuous manufacturing process, two dimension inspection system causes problems as blurring effect and low resolution and requires position calibration between frames. One dimension inspection system is, therefore, being researched as a substitution. In this paper, we implement mechanism of switching memory and processing data for reasonable one dimension inspection system. Redundant weft image and noise was suggested to be reduced by new method using modified morphological process and masked erosion process. From resulting image, line data and possible error information were obtained and constructed as a structure. Finally, error detecting algorithm was performed with this data structure. Processing time of error detecting was 0.625ms per line in applied system and experiment showed 94.7% of error detecting ability. This method is 20% faster in speed and 2.7% higher in error detecting ability comparing with the present method.
