나노합성 무기질 폴리머계 표면처리제를 적용한 콘크리트의 내구성능 평가에 관한 실험적 연구 (An experimental study on durability evaluation of the concrete applied nano level inorganic polymer based coatings)

  • In this study, durability of the nano-level inorganic polymer based coatings which can provide a barrier against the ingress of moisture or aggressive ions to concrete is discussed. For the durability evaluation of the coatings, chloride penetration test, accelerating carbonation test, freezing and thawing test, and sulfate ponding test are conducted. As the result of this study, concrete applied nano-level inorganic polymer based coatings has a much higher resistance to the ingress of chloride ion, carbon dioxide, moisture and aggressive acid than plain concrete and epoxy resin based paint by means of crosslinking three-dimensional structure with concrete structure.

Colloidally stable organic-inorganic hybrid nanoparticles prepared using alkoxysilane-functionalized amphiphilic polymer precursors and mechanical properties of their cured coating film

  • Colloidally stable organic-inorganic (O-I) hybrid nanoparticles could be prepared using an alkoxysilanefunctionalized amphiphilic polymer (AFAP) precursor. O-I hybrid sols could maintain colloidal stability for six months even at 45% solid content and be coated onto glass as well as PET film to form transparent O-I hybrid films. The formation of O-I hybrid nanoparticles dispersed in cured coating films could be confirmed using scanning electron microscopy. The cured coating film showed 3H and 5H pencil hardness on PET and glass, respectively. Nanoindentation measurements also showed that their modulus and hardness was varied with the type of AFAP used in its preparation.

자외선 경화형 아크릴 양면 점착테이프의 두께 및 무기물 충전제 종류에 따른 접착특성 (Effects of Tape Thickness and Inorganic Fillers on the Adhesion Properties of Double-sided Acrylic Adhesive Tape by Ultraviolet Curing)

  • 본 연구는 고성능 준구조용 양면 점착테이프 제조를 위해 2-ethylhexyl acrylate(2-EHA)와 acrylic acid(AAC)를 사용하였고, UV 조사에 의해 시럽을 준비하였다. 양면 점착테이프의 두께, 무기물 충전제 함량 및 충전제 종류에 따른 준구조용 물성에 미치는 영향을 고찰하였다. 테이프의 두께 및 젖음시간이 증가할수록 박리강도가 증가하였다. 두께가 얇은 점착테이프($250{\mu}m$이하)의 경우 무기물 충전제의 true density가 낮을수록 적용시간 경과에 따라 박리강도가 높게 나타났다. 무기물 충전제 입자가 클수록 초기 박리강도가 높게 나타났으며, SEM 이미지를 통해 점착테이프 내에 무기물 충전제의 크기를 확인하였다. 다양한 무기물 충전제 및 함량에 따라 박리강도 증가와 함께 전단접착강도가 증가하는 비례관계를 보였으며, $0.1{\mu}m$인 양면 점착테이프에서 무기물 충전제는 전단접착강도에 더 영향을 주었다. 이러한 결과로부터 박막형 아크릴 양면 점착테이프는 준구조용 물성을 필요로 하는 용도에 사용가능할 것으로 사료된다.

Layered Silicate-Polymer Nanocomposites

  • Natural clays are composed of oxide layers whose thickness is about 1nm and cations existing between the layers. A number of these layers makes primary particles with a height of about 8∼10nm and these primary particles make aggregates with a size of about 0.1∼10$\mu\textrm{m}$. When layered silicate was made to be organophilic, by exchanging the interlayer cations with organic cationic molecules, the matrix polymer can penetrate between the layers to give a nanocomposite, where 1nm-scal clay layers exist separately in a continuous polymer matrix. These nanostructured hybrid organic-inorganic composites have attracted the great interest of researchers over the last 10 years. They exhibit improved performance properties compared with conventional composites, because their unique phase morphology by layer intercalation or exfoliation maximizes interfacial contact between the organic and inorganic phases and enhances interfacial properties. Since the advent of nylon-6/montmorillonite nanocomposite developed by Toyota Motor Co., the studies on layered silicate-polymer nanocomposites have been successfully extended to other polymer systems. They greatly improved the thermal, mechanical, barrier, and even the flame-retardant properties of the polymers.
