대형 CNG기관의 직접분사화에 의한 희박한계확장 (A study on expansion of lean burn limit with direct injection of the heavy-duty CNG engine)

  • Lean combustion is one of the most promising method for increasing engine efficiency and reducing the exhaust emission from SI gas engines. Due to the possibility of partial burn and misfire, however, under lean burn operation, stable flame kernel formation and fast burn rate are needed to guarantee a successful subsequent combustion. Experiment data were obtained on a single-cylinder CNG fueled SI engine to investigate the effect of direct injection, spark timing and variation of injection timing. Experimental results show that lean burn limit is ${\lambda}$=1.3 with port injection, and expansion of lean burn limit ${\lambda}$=1.4 with direct injection method, due to increase of turbulence intensity in cylinder and stratified charge. Combustion duration in lean region is improved by using the variation of injection timing.

박용 대형 저속 디젤기관 연료분사계통의 시뮬레이션에 관한 연구 (A Study on a Simulation of a Fuel Injection System in a Large Low-Speed Marine Diesel Engines)

  • In this study, a simulation program was developed, which could simulate a fuel injection system for low-speed marine diesel engine. The fuel injection system was divided into fuel injection pump, high pressure pipe and fuel injection valve. The unsteady flow in the high pressure injection pipe was analyzed by the method of characteristics, considering cavitation and variation of fuel density and bulk modulus. It was confirmed that the simulation results were good agree with experimental results of injection pressure and quantity at the high pressure distributor in fuel injection system for the training ship "M/V Hannara". And the effects of the atomizer hole diameter, maximum needle lift, plunger diameter and nozzle opening pressure were also investigated with simulating results.g results.

Bosch법과 Zeuch법에 의한 분사율 , 측정의 비교연구 (A Study on the Comparison of Injection Rate Measurement by the Bosch`s Method and the Zeuch`s Method)

  • Bosch법과 Zeuch법의 분사율 측정기를 직접설계, 제작하여 분사율 측정실험을 행한 결과 다음과 같은 결론을 얻었다. 1. Bosch법 분사율 측정기는 분사량의 참 값에 대한 측정오차가 약 $\pm$1%로 정밀도와 신뢰성이 높았다. 2. Bosch법 분사율 측정기에서, 분사율은 연료펌프의 회전수와 부하가 증가할수록 높아지는 반면, 분사기간(ms)은 회전수가 증가할수록 짧아짐을 알 수 있었다. 3. 본 실험에서는, 동일조건하의 단발분사가 연발분사에 비해 전체적으로 분사율이 낮고 기관의 1 cycle당 분사량도 약 30% 정도 적었다. 4. Zeuch법 분사율 측정기로 구한 체적강성계수의 값은 배압이 증가할수록 증가함을 알 수 있었다. 5. Zeuch법 분사율 측정기는 Bosch법 분사율 측정기에 비해 정밀도가 낮았다.

  • Among the many techniques available to synthesis metal matrix composites, liquid phase processing, especially, conventional casting process such as stir-casting process is particularly attractive for their simplicity, economy and flexibility, In the present study, A356/20%SiCp composites were fabricated by gas-particle co-injection method. The gas-particle co-injection method is a modified stir-casting method and the corporation of particle could be improved by acceleration of particles due to rotation of impeller and gas purging. The microstructures and mechanical properties such as tensile properties and resistance to wear of fabricated materials were examined. Further, the particle injection mechanism in gas-particle co-injection method was discussed.

평면 동판 권선을 이용한 Flyback 변압기 설계에 관한 연구 (A Study on the Design of Flyback Transformer using Flat copper winding)

  • 본 논문에서는 90W급 LED-TV용 DC-DC Flyback 컨버터에 사용되고 있는 소형화 및 권선 자동화에 적합한 사출형 평면 동판 권선 방식의 Flyback 변압기 최적화 설계에 대해서 나타낸다. 또한 본 논문에서는 수동권선방식의 기존 양산 Flyback 변압기에 비해 권선 자동화, Trans 체적 저감 및 전기적 특성 동질성 향상이 가능한 사출형 평면 동판 권선 방식의 Flyback 변압기를 제안한다. 특히 본 논문에서 제안한 사출형 평면 동판 권선 변압기는 권선 자동화를 위하여 수직형 권선 방식으로 구성한다. 본 논문 제안한 사출형 평면 동판 권선 방식의 Flyback 변압기의 1차측과 2차측 권선은 각각 기존 권선, 3중 절연 권선 및 사출형 평면 동판권선을 사용하였다. 최종적으로 Maxwell 2D 및 3D Tool을 이용한 시뮬레이션 결과를 토대로 본 논문에서 제안한 소형화 및 권선 자동화에 적합한 사출형 평면 동판 권선 방식의 Flyback 변압기 최적화 설계를 수행하였다.

  • 본 논문에서는 CIM(Current Injection Method)을 이용한 charge-pump방식의 plasma backlight용 고압 inverter회로를 제안한다. 고압 inverter에서 에너지 회수회로의 채용은 새로운 시도로서 에너지회수 이외에도 noise에 의한 시스템의 불안정성과 방전안정화에 기여하고 있다. charge-pump방식으로 스위치류의 내압을 저감하므로 cost면에서 매우 유리한 조건을 확립하였으며 CIM(Current Injection Method)방식의 적용으로 high speed 에너지 회수를 가능하게 하였다. 그리고 제안회로의 동작을 모드별로 해석하였으며, 실제 32" 패널에 적용하여 실험함으로써 제안한 회로의 유용성을 입증하였다.

  • MmSH injection molding method to fabricate light guiding plate with nano-sized pattern was developed. A stamper was fabricated through photolithography, dry etching, and electroplating processes. While the stamper with nano-sized pattern in mold was kept at $180^{\circ}C$ during injection process, that was cooled down to $90^{\circ}C$ quickly after the injection process. The nano-sized pattern on light guiding plate processed by MmSH injection molding method was well transferred from stamper compared to that processed by conventional injection molding process.

  • In this study, combustion characteristics and various performances of a Diesel fuel DI-HCCI engine using 2-stage injection method were investigated. From these researches, application ability of 2-stage injection strategy to a DI-HCCI engine was confirmed and improvement methods of performances were considered. As the results, Using 2-stage injection method, without change of engine specifications and loss of IMEP, exhaust of NOx and Smoke emissions could be reduced to about 1/3 (at 1400rpm, IMEP 6bar) compared to conventional Diesel combustion.

  • Polymer dispersed liquid crystal (PDLC) films consist of micro-droplets of liquid crystals dispersed in a polymer matrix. To make wide area PDLC filled devices, it is necessary to develop reliable method of vacuum injection of PDLC solution instead of the capillary injection. However, well-known 2-ethylhexylacrylate (EHA), main element of a prepolymer, exhibits the volatility problems, when the PDLC solution is placed under the low pressure. In this study, we developed the vacuum injection process to fill a wide area cell. Experimental results indicate that the $V_{90}$(turn-on voltage) of the PDLC cell made by a vacuum injection method are lower than that of the PDLC cell made by a capillary injection method.

Effects of Needle Response on Spray Characteristics In High Pressure Injector Driven by Piezo Actuator for Common-Rail Injection System

  • The common-rail injection systems, as a new diesel injection system for passenger car, have more degrees of freedom in controlling both the injection timing and injection rate with the high pressure. In this study, a piezo-driven injector was applied to a high pressure common-rail type fuel injection system for the control capability of the high pressure injector's needle and firstly examined the piezo-electric characteristics of a piezo-driven injector. Also in order to analyze the effect of injector's needle response driven by different driving method on the injection, we investigated the diesel spray characteristics in a constant volume chamber pressurized by nitrogen gas for two injectors, a solenoid-driven injector and a piezo-driven injector, both equipped with the same injection nozzle with sac type and 5-injection hole. The experimental method for spray visualization was based on back-light photography technique by utilizing a high speed framing camera. The macroscopic spray propagation was geometrically measured and characterized in term of the spray tip penetration, spray cone angle and spray tip speed. For the evaluation of the needle response of the above two injectors, we indirectly estimated the needle's behavior with an accelerometer and injection rate measurement employing Bosch's method was conducted. The experimental results show that the spray tip penetrations of piezo­driven injector were longer, on the whole, than that of the solenoid-driven injector. Besides we found that the piezo-driven injector have a higher injection flow rate by a fast needle response and it was possible to control the injection rate slope in piezo-driven injector by altering the induced current.
