의류제품 소비자의 생활주기에 따른 주관적 지식이 정보탐색에 미치는 영향 (The Effects of Subjective Knowledge on Information Search as Related to a Consumer's Life Cycle)

  • This study attempted to determine how the subjective knowledge related to a consumer's life cycle influences their information search in the decision making process. The data was collected using a total of 349 questionnaires for the final analysis of this study. SPSS 12.0 for windows was used for the data analysis and the detailed analyses included descriptive analysis, factor analysis, reliability tests, one way ANOVA, multiple regression analysis and t-tests. The results of this study showed that there are differences in the subdivisions of subjective knowledge of apparel according to the consumer's life cycle and there is a difference in the types of information searches according to the consumer's subjective knowledge, and the subdivisions of subjective knowledge of the consumers influence their information search. This study showed that although it affected the internal search, the media search, and the store search, it did not influence the personal search in the decision making process.

Fractal Depth Map Sequence Coding Algorithm with Motion-vector-field-based Motion Estimation

  • Three-dimensional video coding is one of the main challenges restricting the widespread applications of 3D video and free viewpoint video. In this paper, a novel fractal coding algorithm with motion-vector-field-based motion estimation for depth map sequence is proposed. We firstly add pre-search restriction to rule the improper domain blocks out of the matching search process so that the number of blocks involved in the search process can be restricted to a smaller size. Some improvements for motion estimation including initial search point prediction, threshold transition condition and early termination condition are made based on the feature of fractal coding. The motion-vector-field-based adaptive hexagon search algorithm on the basis of center-biased distribution characteristics of depth motion vector is proposed to accelerate the search. Experimental results show that the proposed algorithm can reach optimum levels of quality and save the coding time. The PSNR of synthesized view is increased by 0.56 dB with 36.97% bit rate decrease on average compared with H.264 Full Search. And the depth encoding time is saved by up to 66.47%. Moreover, the proposed fractal depth map sequence codec outperforms the recent alternative codecs by improving the H.264/AVC, especially in much bitrate saving and encoding time reduction.

온/오프라인 유통환경에서 소비자특성, 정보탐색, 구매결정 간 영향관계에 관한 연구 (The Influence Relationship among Consumers' Characteristics, Information Search, and Purchase Decision in On/Offline Retailing Environment)

  • This study analyzed the effects of consumers' characteristic variables on information search and purchase decisions in a decision-making process that validated the path model in purchasing apparel products. In constructing a structural equation model using AMOS 19.0., the variables including enjoyment pursuit, price pursuit, product involvement and product risk were selected as consumers' characteristic variables affecting the stage of information search. A questionnaire was distributed to consumers over 20 years old who purchased apparel products using offline and online channels within one year; consequently, we were able to analyze 468 effective data. The results were as follows. First, the path model of this research proved to be the appropriate model explaining the effects of consumers' characteristic variables on the stage of purchase decision-making. Second, enjoyment pursuit had a significant positive influence on offline information search; in addition, price pursuit and product risk affected the online information search significantly. Product involvement affected online information search as well as offline information search. Third, the offline information search affected offline purchase and online information search affected online purchase. However, consumer's channel switching behavior between the stage of information search and the stage of purchase decision was not proven. The findings suggest that companies need to develop distribution strategies according to consumers' characteristic factors that effect consumer's purchase decision-making.

정보탐색이 신제품개발 과정 및 성과에 미치는 영향 (The Effects of Information Search on New Product Development Process and Performance)

  • 본 연구는 정보탐색이 신제품개발 과정과 성과에 미치는 영향을 검증하기 위해 5개 기업의 82개 신제품개발과제에 대한 실증조사를 진행하였다. 정보탐색은 일반정보, 내부정보와 외부정보에 대한 탐색으로 구분하였고, 신제품개발과제의 성과는 기술성과와 시장성과로 구분하였다. 본 연구의 실증결과는 다음과 같다. 내부정보 탐색은 신제품개발과제의 기술지식을 증가시키고, 외부정보 탐색은 신제품개발과제의 시장지식을 증가시켰다. 신제품개발과제의 기술지식과 시장지식은 각각 기술성과를 향상시키고, 시장지식만이 시장성과를 향상시켰다. 전체적으로 신제품개발과제의 기술지식은 내부정보 탐색과 기술성과간의 관계를 완전 매개하였다. 신제품개발과제의 시장지식은 외부정보 탐색과 기술성과간의 관계를 완전 매개하고, 외부정보 탐색과 시장성과간의 관계를 완전 매개하였다. 기술지식 혹은 시장지식은 여기 언급된 조합 이외에 정보 탐색과 신제품개발 성과간의 어떤 관계도 매개하지 않았다. 연구결과에 대한 시사점과 향후 연구방향에 대해 논의하였다.

Using an Adaptive Search Tree to Predict User Location

  • In this paper, we propose a method for predicting a user's location based on their past movement patterns. There is no restriction on the length of past movement patterns when using this method to predict the current location. For this purpose, a modified search tree has been devised. The search tree is constructed in an effective manner while it additionally learns the movement patterns of a user one by one. In fact, the time complexity of the learning process for a movement pattern is linear. In this process, the search tree expands to take into consideration more details about the movement patterns when a pattern that conflicts with an existing trained pattern is found. In this manner, the search tree is trained to make an exact matching, as needed, for location prediction. In the experiments, the results showed that this method is highly accurate in comparison with more complex and sophisticated methods. Also, the accuracy deviation of users of this method is significantly lower than for any other methods. This means that this method is highly stable for the variations of behavioral patterns as compared to any other method. Finally, 1.47 locations were considered on average for making a prediction with this method. This shows that the prediction process is very efficient.

의사의 임상질문 해결을 위한 온라인 정보검색과정 연구 (An Analysis of Physicians' Online Information Search Process at the Point of Care)

  • 본 논문은 임상의사가 환자치료 시 발생하는 문제를 해결하기 위해 온라인상에서 정보검색하는 과정을 연구하였다. 이를 위해 국내 대학병원 내과 전문의 10명을 대상으로 관찰조사와 심층면담을 수행하였다. Wilson의 문제 해결 모형을 기반으로 임상의사가 임상질문 해결을 위해 온라인상에서 검색하는 단계별 특성과 정보검색의 효용성에 대해 분석하였다. 그 결과, 임상의사는 사전 배경지식을 바탕으로 즉각적인 임상질문을 구성하지만, 실제 검색에서는 대부분 기본 검색전략만 사용하였으며, 본인에게 익숙한 특정 정보원만을 선호하였다. 하지만, 온라인 정보검색 평균 만족도는 7점 리커트 스케일 기준 5.7로 높게 나타났으며, 정보검색 후에 문제해결지수가 상승하였다. 임상의사는 잘 정리된 근거 중심의 신뢰성 높은 정보를 빠르고 쉽게 이용하기를 원하기 때문에 환자 진료시스템에서 바로 치료에 필요한 정보를 보여줄 수 있는 검색시스템의 연계가 필요함을 알 수 있다. 또한, 구글이나 PubMed 외에 다른 온라인 정보원에 대한 인지도는 현격히 낮게 나타나 다른 정보원에 대한 적극적인 홍보와 정보활용교육의 활성화도 필요함을 알 수 있다.

  • Information is an essential factor leading the rapid progress which is one of the distinguished characteristics in modem society. As more information is required and as more is supplied by individuals, governmental units, businesses, and educational institutions, the greater will be the requirement for efficient methods of communication. One possibility for improving the information dissemination process is to use computers. The capabilities of such machine are beginning to be used in the process of Information storage, retrieval and dissemination. An important problems, that must be carefully examined is whether one technique for information retrieval is better for worse than another. This paper examines problem of how to evaluate an information retrieval system. One specific approach is a cost accounting model for use in studying how to minimize the cost of operating a mechanized retrieval system. Through the use of cost analysis, the model provides a method for comparative evaluation between systems. The general cost accounting model of the literature retrieval system being designed by this study are given below. 1. The total cost accounting model of the literature retrieval system. The total cost of the literature retrieval system = (the cost per unit of user time X the amount of user time) + ( the cost per unit of system time X the amount of system time) 2. System cost accounting model system cost = (the pre-search system cost per unit of time X time) + (the search system cost per unit of time X time) + (the post search system cost per unit of time X time) 1) Pre-search system cost per unit of time = cost of channel per unit time + cost of central processing unit per unit time + cost of storage per unit time 2) Search system cost per unit of time = comparison cost + document representation cost. 3) Post-search system cost per unit of time. = cost of channel per unit time + cost of central processing unit per unit time + cost of storage per unit time 3. Sensing Optimization for an Receiver Structure in Cognitive Radio Systems

  • This paper describes the optimization of spectrum sensing in terms of the throughput of a cognitive radio (CR) system. Dealing with the optimization problem of spectrum sensing, this paper evaluates the throughput of a CR system by considering such situations as the penalty time of a channel search and incumbent user (IU) detection delay caused by a missed detection of an incumbent signal. Also, this paper suggests a serial channel search scheme as the search method for a vacant channel, and derives its mean channel search time by considering the penalty time due to the false alarm of a vacant channel search. The numerical results suggest the optimum sensing time of the channel search process using the derived mean channel search time of a serial channel search in the case of a sensing hardware structure with single radio frequency (RF) path. It also demonstrates that the average throughput is improved by two separate RF paths in spite of the hardware complexity of an RF receiver.

정보탐색과정(ISP)에 대한 인식조사 및 스캐폴딩 전략의 효과성 검증 (A Study on the Perception of Information Search Process(ISP) and the Verification of Effectiveness of Scaffolding Strategy)

  • 본 연구에서는 Kuhlthau의 ISP 모형을 토대로 청소년의 정보탐색과정에 대한 인식과 그 과정에서 경험하는 불안감과 중재의 필요성을 조사하고, 구조방정식 모형을 이용하여 각 요인의 관계를 분석하였다. 또한 실험집단을 대상으로 스캐폴딩 전략을 적용한 수업을 전개하여 그 효과성을 검증하였다. 주요 연구 결과를 제시하면 다음과 같다. 첫째, 정보탐색과정(ISP)에서 학습자가 느끼는 불안감과 중재의 필요성을 조사한 결과, 표현 단계에서 불안감에 유의한 영향을 미치는 것으로 나타났으며, 정보수집, 표현, 평가 단계에서 중재의 필요성에 유의한 영향을 미치는 것으로 확인되었다. 둘째, 정보탐색과정(ISP)에서 학습자가 느끼는 불안감과 중재의 필요성을 각 변인을 통제하여 조사한 결과, 학년별(1학년과 2학년), 지역별(수도권과 강원권) 차이가 일부 확인되었다. 셋째, 통제집단과 실험집단을 대상으로 대응표본 t-검정과 공분산 분석을 실시한 결과, 실험집단의 불안감과 중재의 필요성이 통계적으로 유의하게 감소한 것으로 확인되었다. 본 연구는 정보탐색과정에 적합한 스캐폴딩 전략을 교육 현장에 적용하기 위한 실제적인 근거를 제시하였다는 점에서 의의가 있다.
