This study suggests the establishment and applications of the News core thesaurus for efficient indexing and searching of news information. News core thesaurus was constructed as macrothesauri which can cover all of news subjects and then has microthesauri like politics, economy, society, culture, etc. as its subsets. In this research, News core thesaurus embodied 2,012 descriptors and 74 non-descriptors by SKOS(Simple Knowledge Organization System). It suggests measures that treat only special subjects in detail in weekly newspaper or biweekly newspaper with little information and special subjects, which is not daily newspaper, and use each microthesauri by merging or integrating in huge news archives or portal sites.

In many countries, a Single Window system for simplifications is establishing in order to reduce works submitted double data and compliance costs. A Single Window is defined as a facility that allows parties involved in trade and transport to lodge standardized information and documents with a single entry point to fulfil all import, export, and transit-related regulatory requirements. A Single window can bring improved level of security, faster clearance and reduced compliance costs. UN/CEFACT released "Recommendation and Guidelines on establishing a Single Window to enhance the efficient exchange of information between trade and government". Also, WCO has made progress several projects to assist effective establishing a single window, i.e. CDM, UCR, ICT. Korea has being established a single window system, "e-trade platform" connected with trade, clearance, logistics, marketing and payment system. Some suggestions to establish a effective single window system in Korea are as follows. Firstly, it is necessary to clearly define roles and responsibilities of a lead agency in a single window system and form a organic relationship with PGA. Secondly, a single window system has to be progressed by stages, namely, customs clearance portal system should be established first, and later established e-trade platform. Lastly, the Korean government has to take part in CDM project to gain an advantage over other countries.

Microbes are one of the most important bioresources in bioindustry and provide high economic values. Although there are currently about 6,000 bacterial species with validly published names, microbiologists generally assume that the number may account for less than 1% of the bacterial species present on Earth. To discover the remaining species, studies of metagenomes, metabolomes, and proteomes related to microbes have recently been carried out in various fields. We have constructed an information system that integrates various data on microbial resources and manages bioinformation to support efficient research of microorganisms. We have designated this system 'Bio-Meta Information System (Bio-MIS).' Bio-MIS consists of an integrated microbial resource database, a microbial resource input system, an integrated microbial resource search engine, a microbial resource online distribution system, a portal service, and management via the Internet. In the future, this system is expected to be connected with various public databases. We plan to implement useful bioinformatics software for analyzing microbial genome resources. While sharing information through Internet by Web page or XML, familiar labels of information items will reduce the confusion among users. The advises of the language experts for choosing familiar terms may cost money and time, but an automated Indicator can help a user select right terms without any cost. This paper collects Indicators that can be easily found over Internet and compares the efficiency of them for selecting familiar terms. The collected indicators are the number of words in a term, the frequency used in a related Web sites, and the number of search results in portal sites. The results conclude that the found terms by the frequency matches 76% for women's and 71% for men's, which tells that the frequency can be a reference for selecting familiar terms.

With rapid telecommunication development, university libraries began to provide traditional services as well as web-based services. For the web-based services, university libraries should collect, arrange, and preserve all types of information resources systematically to raise users access and convenience. Therefore, university libraries should be changed into a gateway, which emphasizes electronic collection and role of the internet. That is, university libraries should be a real space as well as a virtual space having collection ability and access paradigm. This research is intended to provide improvement plans through analyzing the collected data.

항공우주의 연구를 위해 대용량의 컴퓨팅 자원 이용, 실험 결과의 상호 교류 및 분석, 온라인 상에서의 자동 실행 등의 서비스가 요구된다. 본 논문에서는 이미 개발된 e-AIRS[1],[2]의 활용을 극대화하고 병렬해석에 많이 사용되고 있는 동적 파라메터 실험 서비스를 구현하고자 한다. 동적 파라메터 실험 서비스는 복잡한 현상을 포함한 다양한 계산 수행을 지원하기위해, 동적으로 파라메터를 생성하고 효율적으로 동시에 작업들을 실행하는 서비스이다. 또한 GT4(Globus Toolkit 4)[3] WSRF를 기반으로 웹 서비스로 구현하여 서비스의 이용 및 접근을 용이하게 하고자 한다. 연구자간의 효과적인 정보 공유 및 협의 서비스를 제공함으로써 항공 우주 연구 개발에 있어 효율적인 환경을 지원함은 물론 연구자간 협력을 통한 신뢰성 있는 결과 값을 도출할 수 있도록 하고 있다.

People write reviews of numerous products or services on the Internet, in their blogs or community bulletin boards. These unstructured data contain important emotions and opinions about the author's product or service, which can provide important information for future product design or marketing. However, this text-based information cannot be evaluated quantitatively, and thus they are difficult to apply to mathematical models or optimization problems for product design and improvement. Therefore, this study proposes a method to quantitatively extract user's opinion or preference about a specific product or service by utilizing a lot of text-based information existing on the Internet or online. The extracted unstructured text information is decomposed into basic unit words, and positive rate is evaluated by using existing emotional dictionaries and additional lists proposed in this study. This can be a way to effectively utilize unstructured text data, which is being generated and stored in vast quantities, in product or service design. Finally, to verify the effectiveness of the proposed method, a case study was conducted using movie review data retrieved from a portal website. By comparing the positive rates calculated by the proposed framework with user ratings for movies, a guideline on text mining based evaluation of unstructured data is provided.

OTP (One Time Password) is widely used for protecting accounts on Internet banking, portal services and online game services in Korea. OTP is very strong method for enforcing account security but there are several ways for exploiting vulnerabilities caused by implementation errors. These attacks can work because of the weakness from OTP enabled system's vulnerabilities, not for OTP's algorithm itself. In this paper, we present the known attack scenarios such as MITM (Man-in-the-Middle) attack and various reverse engineering techniques; also, we show the test result of the attacks and countermeasures for these attacks.

In recent years, to provide visitors with the various and dynamic services, many ActiveX Controls are developed and distributed in most of the web sites such as e-Government Internet banking Portal in Korea. However, unsecure ActiveX Controls may be critical security threats on Internet User. Although hacking incidents increase sharply for these vulnerable ActiveX Controls, there are not enough national security actions or policies. Thus, in this paper we propose the technical method to design 'Security model for ActiveX Control Managemnet through Security Authentication' to be able safe and useful security management in three aspects of development distribution using.

Five cultural websites are evaluated on their content, interface, design. system, and service elements. The Culture Portal of Korea, Korea Culture Content, Culture Arts, Korea National Heritage Online, and Culture Heritage Information Center are chosen for this study. Most websites do not have a purpose or target audience. Their focuses are not on the content they provide but on the function of interfaces and interface design. However, interfaces do not function well for users to quickly access information they want. Suggestions are made to facilitate a system's search function and interactive users' feedback.
