While science and technology information service portals and heterogeneous databases produced in Korea and other countries are integrated, methods of connecting the unique classification systems applied to each database have been studied. Results of technologists' research, such as, journal articles, patent specifications, and research reports, are organically related to each other. In this case, if the most basic and meaningful classification systems are not connected, it is difficult to achieve interoperability of the information and thus not easy to implement meaningful science technology information services through information convergence. This study aims to address the aforementioned issue by analyzing mapping systems between classification systems in order to design a structure to connect a variety of classification systems used in the academic information database of the Korea Institute of Science and Technology Information, which provides science and technology information portal service. This study also aims to design a mapping system for the classification systems to be applied to actual science and technology information services and information management systems.

The internet is closely related to the lives of modern people in the 21st Century. Exchanging information with others over the internet in any place through is possible nowadays and such exchanging information has been developed at rapid speed also in the areas of medical care. The internet is an important and rapidly-evolving source of health-related information, and many patients with atopy dermatitis attempt to find information from the internet. This study was performed to investigate the current information available in atopy dermatitis on the internet in Korea. We chose three portal sites and two network communities to analyze the information in which the topic of 'atopy' could be found. Among the 2,024 web sites and 5,613 network communities, 98.2% of the web sites and 71.7% of the communities were related products or service advertisements, and some of them provided incorrect of exaggerated information. There were only 42 web sites and 75 available communities with genuine information, and most of these also presented unattested treatment methods, including alternative therapies. It is quite understandable that patients with atopy dermatitis want to seek information related to their disease and the internet has the potential to be a useful source of information. However, there are no regulations to control the accuracy and quality of information on the internet. We should take an active role in identifying the accuracy and evaluating the quality.

This study aims to bound the preliminary material for the disabled to provide personalized information systematically and effectively. In order to carry out this study, reference research and survey are conducted the disabled, protector, professional, researcher and teacher. The result, disabled and the persons involved in primary source of disability was a portal site. Critical information types were job board, mobile access to (traffic) information on the information, and medical institutions and so on. Also, Able-bodied compared to the importance of information for disabled people was low and acquisition of data feel it is hard and availability of critical information types, depending on the types of disability and acquisition the difference appeared.

With the development of IT industry and formation of web-based knowledge sharing platform, a variety of railway-related information services on the web have emerged, ranging from personal blogs to dedicated portal sites, as in the other sectors. These services are contributing to advancing railway industry after all. As far as it is concerned with specific areas such as railway sector, the internet users are hardly expected to avail satisfactory results in acquiring customized information from the access, as the information served varies on the intension of the web site operator or relevant agency, and indexing categories and sub-categories is not easy to work out in a straight manner. This study will review on the feasibility of standardizing categories and sub-categories for railway industry information on the web, and present optimum categorization and sub-categorization approach for the most satisfactory results when searched, ultimately aiming at laying a foundation to satisfy the wide spectrum of users' need for railway information.

Research and development projects in Research and development projects in Korea are ineffectively conducted due to the lack of a system for effectively planning, conducting and disseminating the result of the research projects. In this study, we have designed a framework for system that can be used in the planning and managing stage of National R & D information to guarantee standardization and extendability of the information. A national R & D technology information portal system for managing the distributed national R & D information on a single database is suggested based on this framework for the construction of a more effective information support system and the dissemination of national R & D information between researchers.

Today, rapid evolution of information communication technology occurring in Korea has extensive influence on our daily life, and increasing awareness about the user experience. As the connected Internet information systems increases, one of the problems happening between users and information systems such as Internet shopping-malls, portal sites, and corporate web sites is related with the information privacy concerns issues. In this research, we aim to analyze factors influencing of the invasion of privacy on intention to use in e-commerce environment. Based on these findings, several theoretical and practical implications were suggested and discussed. Thus, we have reviewed extensive previous studies on information privacy in local and foreign information systems, marketing and other fields. The purpose of this study is to provide future directions of studies on information privacy concerns by analyzing past and recent trends of the studies.

This study has the aim of developing an evaluation index that can help evaluate the reliability of the information resources of institutions retaining humanities assets for the purposes of laying out the foundation for providing one-stop portal service for humanities assets. To this end, the evaluation index was derived through the analysis of previous research, case studies, and interviews with experts, the derived evaluation index was then applied to the humanities assets retaining institutions to verify the utility. The institutional information resources' reliability evaluation index consisted of the two dimensions of the institutions' own reliability evaluation index. The institution provided a service and system evaluation index. The institutions' own reliability evaluation index consisted of 25 points for institutional authority, 25 points for data collection and construction, 30 points for data provision, and 20 points for appropriateness of data, for a total of 100 points, respectively. The institution provided service and system evaluation indexes consisting of 25 points for information quality, 15 points for appropriateness (decency), 15 points for accessibility, 20 points for tangibility, 15 points for form, and 10 points for cooperation, for the total of 100 points, respectively. The derived evaluation index was used to evaluate the utility of 6 institutions representing humanities assets through application. Consequently, the reliability of the information resources retained by the Research Information Service System (RISS) of the Korea Education & Research Information Service (KERIS) turned out to be the highest.

Positioning technique which has been widely used for making marketing strategy by analyzing customer's image also has been used for public and test-taker's image analysis about public facilities, entrepreneurs, universities. This study analyze image of library and Information science students who trying to find a job in library fields about diverse types of library and information centers by Positioning technique. As a result of Similarity cognition analysis by multidimensional Scaling and K-means clustering, it was found that students recognize that public, national, university, school library are similar, on the other hand, portal company and special library are different from those types. In the jobs, user service jobs and technical service jobs are recognized as separated clusters, and cultural program job is also recognized dissimilarly from those clusters. By the way, images about work satisfaction and stability of employment shows high in national library; high wage shows high in portal company; employee's growth potential shows high in special library; job importance shows high in reference service jobs; difficulty shows high in content's job. Anyway, in the workplace selection, almost students regard stability of employment as top priorities, accordingly they prefers public library at most. Such a preference concentration tendency is strongly appeared in local university students than in metropolitan area students as a result of Pearson's chi-square test.

According to the facility of effective search and user-friendly access to various spatial data by building GIS, the demand for application of information and social effect has been increased. To meet such domestic demands, it has become necessary to develop local, regional, and global SDI(Spatial Data Infrastructure) which can support discovery, access, and use of spatial information in the decision-making process. Many developed countries are implementing and managing GSDI in accordance with their state and purpose. There are two typical international cases; U.S. Geospatial One-Stop and European Geo-Portal. These systems are observed the international standards so they provide standardization and interoperability of GI. In domestic cases, however, each sector is managing separately geospatial data management systems. From this point of view, this paper proposed implementation approaches of GOS that can provide interchange of geospatial information between supplier and user. This paper focused on standardization, considered technical and political factors and analyzed two cases of GOS such as U.S. and Europe cases into our spatial information environments. It is possible to search and access geospatial data effectively by introducing GOS. In addition, it is possible to promote popularization of geospatial information and development of GIS industy.
