In order to assess their digital confidence, I designed a Google survey form and collected data during two semesters. The survey results revealed that the participants had highest digital confidence in information and data literacy and overall, the female participants showed higher digital confidence than their male counterparts. It also showed that the learners' English proficiency and computer skills are important factors.

  • In this study, we verify the relationship, which is presented by ISO/IEC 15504, between the assessor's competence and the efficiency of assessment. The ISO standard has been developed by many formal trial experiences for the software process assessment. The software process assessment determines the process capability, and makes the software process improvement possible in the development cycle. In the field assessment, third-party and team-based assessments are generally recommended. Therefore assessors' competences are essential to achieve the effectiveness and the efficiency of assessment. Survey data are collected from the third-party process assessment of a real IT industry, and the analysis is done by a causal modelling technique - PLS. Some findings are as follows. Depending on assessors' SE experiences, effects of the assessor's competence are existed, and their standard knowledge and assessment skill are effected each other. And the efficiency of assessment depends on the assessor's competence. In addition, the power analysis is presented and future research is suggested, because of many limitations of this study.

  • The purpose of this study was to examine the effects of mothers' parenting behavior, preschool children's language ability and emotion regulation on peer competence and aggressive behavior. The subjects were 100 preschool children (49 girls and 51 boys; mean age, 70.30 months), their mothers and teachers, recruited from five daycare centers located in Gyeonggi-do area. Their mothers also reported on parenting behavior and their child's emotion regulation by questionnaire. The collected data was analyzed by correlation analysis and hierarchical regression. The main results of this study were as follows. First, preschool children's peer competence was positively related to maternal warmth and children's language ability. Their aggressive behavior was positively related to harsh maternal parenting but negatively related to emotion regulation. Second, hierarchical regression analyses revealed that children's language ability and maternal warmth predicted peer competence. Third, children's gender, emotion regulation, and harsh maternal parenting predicted aggressive behavior. These findings could provide basic information for programs and services to promote peer competence in preschool children.

Methods: This is a descriptive study. Using a questionnaire, data were collected from 230 nurses and 107 physicians at a university hospital in D city. With SPSS/WIN 22.0 program, data were analyzed by t-test, ANOVA, $Scheff{\acute{e}}$ test, and Pearson's correlation coefficient. Results: Physicians scored the highest for communication competence in nurse-physician relationship and the lowest in medical decision making, while nurses scored the highest in patient information sharing and the lowest in nurse-physician relationship. Physicians with problem solving tendency scored higher in communication competence than those with avoiding tendency. Among the nurses, those with avoiding tendency scored the lowest. For both physicians and nurses, communication competence showed a significant negative correlation with avoidance. For nurses there was also a significant positive correlation with compromising tendency. Finally, there was a significant correlation between nurse-physician collaboration and communication competence in both groups. Conclusion: This study demonstrates that nurse-physician collaboration and communication competence are correlated with conflict management style. We suggest educational programs at more hospitals in various locations to improve nurse-physician collaboration reflecting conflict management style.

  • Purpose : This study investigated the effects of nursing students' emotional intelligence and interpersonal competence on their caring efficacy. Methods : This study surveyed 217 junior and senior nursing students from City B in South Korea between June 1 and June 30, 2023. The SPSS 22.0 program was employed to analyze the collected data by computing the frequency, percentage, mean, and standard deviation, as well as by conducting t-test, ANOVA test, Scheffe's test, Pearson correlation coefficient, and a multivariate regression analysis. Results : The nursing students exhibited an average emotional intelligence of 5.31±.78, interpersonal competence of 3.47±.56, and caring efficacy of 4.02±.62. The students' emotional intelligence showed significant differences in terms of satisfaction with their major (p<.001), satisfaction with the clinical practice (p<.001), satisfaction with their relationship with clinical practice instructors (p=.001), and the standard of living (p=.021). Furthermore, a significant difference in interpersonal competence was observed in terms of the students' satisfaction with their major (p=.003), satisfaction with the clinical practice (p=.001), satisfaction with their relationship with clinical practice instructors (p=.002), and subjective mental health (p=.005). Meanwhile caring efficacy demonstrated a significant difference with regard to the grade level (p=.001), satisfaction with the major (p<.001), satisfaction with the clinical practice (p<.001), satisfaction with their relationship with clinical practice instructors (p=.007), subjective mental health (p<.001), and subjective physical health (p=.047). The factors that affected the caring efficacy included interpersonal competence (p=.002), grade level (p<.001), satisfaction with the major (p=.004), and emotional intelligence (p=.020), all of which together accounted for an explanatory power of 22.3 %. Conclusion : Based on the results of this study, it is evident that further research related to the emotional intelligence, interpersonal competence, and caring efficacy of nursing students must be encouraged in the future. Furthermore efforts should be made to develop appropriate programs aimed at enhancing nursing students' caring efficacy by accounting for their emotional intelligence and interpersonal competence.
