  • The advancements in scientific technology and information network in the 21st century allow us to easily acquire a desired knowledge. In the midst of today's informatization, globalization, and cultural diversification, adolescents experience emotional confusion while accommodating diverse cultures and information. This study aimed at examining three aspects of character suggested by the Ministry of Education, which are ethics, sociality, and emotion, and the actual sub-factors required for character education. To that end, a survey was conducted with adolescents who were at a character-building age, and social network analysis (SNA) was performed to determine the effect of character education on the sub-factors. The statistics program SPSS was used to investigate the general traits of the subjects and the validity of the research variables. The 2-mode data that were finally selected were converted to 2-mode data using NetMinder 4, which is a network analysis tool. Furthermore, a data network was established based on a quasi-network that represents the relationships between ethics, sociality, and emotion. The results of this study showed that the subjects considered honesty and justice to be the sub-domains of the ethics domain. In addition, they identified sympathy, communication, consideration for others, and cooperation as the sub-domains of the sociality domain. Finally, they believed that self-understanding and self-control were the sub-domains of the emotion domain.

On the other hand, due to the advance of e-learning technology, instead of teacher-centered instruction, the development of learning contents and learning method for satisfying students' requirements is proceeded actively. In this paper, in order to increase the learning effect for information communication ethics education for primary school students, we propose a new way to design an instruction which considers the characteristics and the requirements of students. We decompose instructional design features into 4 components such as goal, model, contents, and media, and then we pose questionnaire to the 5th grade students of a primary school. After that, we analyze data by using the conjoint analysis. Based on the result of the conjoint analysis, we give instructions to two classes in order to compare the learning achievement of the two classes. Finally, by evaluating the students and analyzing their satisfaction levels, we diagnose the effectiveness of the proposed method.

  • The goal of the education of Information Communication Ethics(ICE) is to improve the consciousness of young people so that they themselves are able to judge between what's ethically right and wrong and, as a result, to take the right behavior. For this, we need to preferentially identify the primary factors in understanding and diagnosing the consciousness level of young people on the ICE. To solve this problem, in this study, we identified four major indices that consist of the ICE consciousness through the meta analysis of the both domestic and international researches from the past 5 years in the related area and then, they are validated by experts. We also analyzed the factors in assessing the ICE consciousness of young people by using the Delphi technique, which, during its analysis, even considers elements that are qualitative or cannot be objectified, through the help of an expert group that consists of experienced teachers and professors in the related area. As a result we deduced 4 major indices and 45 related factors.

But in the precedent studies there are not many guidance plans to help teachers apply UCC in the classroom. The purpose of this paper is to suggest a guidance plan to help teachers apply UCC in the classroom and to analyze the effect of educational using UCC Dramatization learning model on the expanding of students' self-directed learning ability in the information communication ethics education. For this, first, a teacher executes preliminary inspection about self-directed learning ability second, students study about "how to prevent them from cyber crime" using UCC Dramatization learning model. Third a teacher executes post inspection about self-directed learning ability and measures the degree of improvement on self-directed learning ability.
