This paper discusses the basic concept of artificial intelligence(AI) and expert system and a particular technique(fuzzy logic) applied to expert systems. It examines expert system as search intermediaries during the past few years, particularly in terms of the following functions: 1) handling certain classes of questions on a particular database, 2) assisting in decision making for selecting databases or search terms, and 3) offering advice while keeping the end-user in the control of the searching process. The limitations and difficulties involved in developing such expert systems are also presented.

Femtocells are good examples of the ultimate networking technology, offering enhanced indoor coverage and higher data rate. However, the dense deployment of femto base stations (FBSs) and the exploitation of subcarrier reuse between macrocell base stations and FBSs result in significant co-tier and cross-tier interference, thus degrading system performance. Therefore, appropriate resource allocations are required to mitigate the interference. This paper proposes a discrete bacterial foraging optimization (DBFO) algorithm to find the optimal resource allocation in two-tier networks. The simulation results showed that DBFO outperforms the random-resource allocation and discrete particle swarm optimization (DPSO) considering the small number of steps taken by particles and bacteria.

현재 자동차 교통사고 발생원인 중 타이어의 불량으로 인한 교통사고는 매년 급증하고 있다. 자동차 타이어의 상태를 점검하여 미연에 사고를 예방하는 캠페인이 방송매체를 통해 진행되고 있으며 이와 관련된 행사도 실시하고 있다. 기존의 타이어 측정방법은 객관적이지 못하며 전문적인 기관에 의뢰해도 사정은 마찬가지다. 운전자에게 편리하며 객관적인 타이어 상태를 측정하려는 방법은 연구되지 않는다. 본 논문에서는 운전자에게 편리하며 객관적인 타이어 상태 정보를 제공하고, 계속적으로 누적된 타이어 상태 측정데이터를 분석하여 운전자에게 유용한 타이어 상태정보를 제공하는 시스템을 설계하기 위한 연구내용을 다룬다.

The purpose of this article is to provide preliminary findings on the state of digital technology applications of startups in Southeast Asia and to discuss issues related to digital health adoption in the region. This exploratory study is based on an empirical analysis of startups and digital technology applications information from various publicly available website databases. Public and private organizations would benefit from a better understanding of the current state of digital technology applications provided by startups and the challenges faced in digital health adoption. This article contributes to the existing literature by offering an overview of startups and digital technology applications in the digital health space in the fast-growing region of Southeast Asia. It offers advice to organizations intending to pursue healthtech initiatives on the types of health services provided by startups and issues that need to be addressed to increase the adoption rate.

Over the past several years, the building codes that govern commercial building construction have become increasingly prescriptive in nature, specifying detailed information related to the design and installation of the systems, while offering no reasoning behind their prescriptive measures. For example, metal stud framing is commonly used in commercial building construction to create bearing walls and non-bearing partition walls. BIM provides a powerful platform for developing and implementing "pre-planning" tools and methods to facilitate both engineering and administrative controls during construction. This paper discusses the use of BIM to enhance constructability for commercial building construction activities, specifically metal stud framing. Using specific real-world examples this paper demonstrates ways that BIM can be used to foresee potential construction issues and motivates and informs future uses of BIM technologies

As recently the information industry has been emphasized as a national basic industry, it Is the key for the growth and success of information industry to maintain information resources of high quality. In this context, exploiting public sector-held information could be not only the basic work for keeping information resources but also the motive of development in future information industry. To cope with these trends, this study suggested policies for exploiting public information in private sector. This is the process that offering public information resources to the private business sector, making value addition and commercialization of public information, and servicing to end-users. This enables promotion of the information industry and realization of the universal service through share of roles between public and private sector.

In the field of education in Korea, University Information Disclosure System was conducted forcibly in December 2008 by Ministry of Education, Science and Technology. As a result, information quality provided to the user has been improved dramatically. Based on the preceding studies of information success model, the purpose of this study was to prove empirically three facts on the organization's performance, user's attitude, and gaps between two factors by improvement in the quality of information. To accomplish the purpose, literature review and statistical analysis were done using the university evaluation data published by JoongAng Daily from 2007 to 2011. The results of this study showed that the information quality had positive effect on organization's performance, user's attitude like a reputation, and the gaps between two factors. The results of this study had a great expectation for the role of offering useful insight and information in the field of information system and education.

This study has been implemented a map-based festival information website with Google Map to overcome a limit that existing festival information web sites supplied location information only through text-based format. To get the newest festival information, this website uses GeoRSS function which transform rss feed offered by newspaper websites into location based information. Through this function, internet users can see festival information at a glance on the basis of a map. Through this study we confirmed the efficiency of offering location based festival information and possibility of GeoRSS function to provide the newest festival information.

Modern construction projects have stakeholders from various construction fields, highlighting the importance of efficient information sharing and collaboration. The expanding scope of Building Information Modeling (BIM), particularly in the domestic construction sector, necessitates a Common Data Environment (CDE). However, applying foreign commercial CDE solutions within the domestic context is challenging due to the difficulty of aligning them with the unique organizational structures and characteristics prevalent in the country. Furthermore, the information review and approval processes specified by ISO 19650 often fail to harmonize adequately with the domestic design procedures, limiting the full utilization of CDE advantages. This study endeavors to develop a Korean CDE collaborative platform based on ISO 19650, with a focus on adapting workflows and information container systems to the domestic context. Building upon the requirements of ISO 19650-based CDE workflows and information containers, this research involves an in-depth analysis of information generation, sharing, review, and approval processes within domestic design organizations, offering tailored CDE workflows and information container systems that align with the specific needs of the Korean construction industry.

The objective of this paper is to propose the bus information system that provides bus passenger number. Recently, we use a bus conveniently through introduction of bus information system offering location-based information. However, we need additional information for decision making in order to use a bus comfortably. To do this, first, we analyzed the needs of providing passenger number; second, we adopted GPS and RFID type's transportation card to get location and passenger number. Finally, we implemented the system displaying that information by three types, and tested it. Our proposed system has advantages to use a bus comfortably and to manage a bus efficiently by providing bus passenger number which is the important element for decision making as well as location based information provided by existing bus information systems.
