As an increasing number of defense methods against control-data attacks are deployed in practice, control-data attacks have become challenging, and non-control-data attacks are on the rise. However, defense methods against non-control-data attacks are still deficient even though these attacks can produce damage as significant as that of control-data attacks. We present a method to defend against non-control-data attacks using influence domain monitoring (IDM). A definition of the data influence domain is first proposed to describe the characteristics of a variable during its life cycle. IDM extracts security-critical non-control data from the target program and then instruments the target for monitoring these variables' influence domains to ensure that corrupted variables will not be used as the attackers intend. Therefore, attackers may be able to modify the value of one security-critical variable by exploiting certain memory corruption vulnerabilities, but they will be prevented from using the variable for nefarious purposes. We evaluate a prototype implementation of IDM and use the experimental results to show that this method can defend against most known non-control-data attacks while imposing a moderate amount of performance overhead.
The purpose of study is to study the influence of elderly's family harmony reflects on suicidal tendency among the mental health. The study was a survey of 323 elderly people aged 65 years or older in the elderly welfare center located in S city. The variables of this study consisted of the independent variable emotional intelligence, the dependent variable suicide tendency and the mediating effect family harmony. As a result of the study. In the mediating effect of family harmony on the influence of emotional intelligence on suicidal thoughts, it was found that emotional intelligence had a positive (+) effect on family harmony (t=9.389, p<0.001), and emotional intelligence was related to suicidal thought It was found to have a negative (-) effect (t=-7.358, p<0.001). The mediating effect, family harmony, had negative (-) influence on suicidal thoughts (t=-3.956, p<0.001), and emotional intelligence also showed that suicidal thoughts had negative (-) influence (t=-4.828, p<0.001). In Conclusions, it was found that family harmony had a partial mediating effect on the influence of emotional intelligence on suicidal thoughts. Emotional intelligence, which can accept one's own emotions and feel the emotions of others in the position of others, is an important variable for family harmony.
when one is designing a continuous bridge with variable cross sections, it is very troublesome to integrate explicitly load terms and various factor under consideration so that it has different moment of inertia at each cross section. In this paper to obtain the influence line of a arbitary-span continuous beam with variable cross sections, the value of some particular function due to a load at any point can be carried out by numerical integration instead of definite integral. The ordinate of the influence line equals the product of the magnitude of the final moment at each support due to unit moment at any support and the load terms due to unit load, measured at the point of application of the load. It is concluded that this method can be easily used to design continuous bridges with arbitary cross sections.
The purpose of this study is to investigate the effects of service training and arbitration support on superstore workers' work performance. The conclusion could be summarized as follows. First, as a result of Hypothesis 1 that service training and arbitration support for superstore workers would significantly affect the factor of workers' emotional labor, when surface acting of emotion and frequency of expressing emotions were the dependent variable, only arbitration support was positively correlated. When emotional diversity was the dependent variable, there was a significantly positive relationship with service training. Second, for Hypothesis 2 that service training and arbitration support for superstore workers would significantly influence the workers' job satisfaction, it was found that only organizational support was significantly positive when wage satisfaction was the dependent variable. When job satisfaction was the dependent variable, service training and arbitration support were significantly correlated positively. Third, for Hypothesis 3 that service training and arbitration support for superstore workers would significantly affect the service delivery level when service responsiveness was the dependent variable, service training and arbitration support were significantly positive. When service expertise was the dependent variable, there was also a significantly positive relationship with service training and arbitration. On the other hand, all the three independent variables-service training, organizational support, and arbitration support-showed a significantly positive relationship when the willingness and effort of service was the dependent variable.
In order to get a better understanding of seismic performance of exterior beam-column joint, reciprocating loading tests with variable loading speeds or axial forces were carried out. The main findings indicate that only few cracks exist on the surface of the joint core area, while the plastic hinge region at the beam end is seriously damaged. The damage of the specimen is more serious with the increase of the upper limit of variable axial force. The deflection ductility coefficient of specimen decreases to various degrees after the upper limit of variable axial force increases. In addition, the higher the loading speed is, the lower the deflection ductility coefficient of the specimen is. The stiffness of the specimen decreases as the upper limit of variable axial force or the loading speed increase. Compared to the influence of variable axial force, the influence of the loading speed on the stiffness degradation of the specimen is more obvious. The cumulative energy dissipation and the equivalent viscous damping coefficient of specimen decrease with the increase of loading speed. The influence of variable axial force on the energy dissipation of specimen varies under different loading speeds. Based on the truss model, the biaxial stress criterion, the Rankine criterion, the Kent-Scott-Park model, the equivalent theorem of shearing stress, the softened strut-and-tie model, the controlled slip theory and the proposed equations, a calculation method for the shear capacity is proposed with satisfactory prediction results.
The purpose of this study was to analyze the role of perceived market influence, which is an important psychological factor influencing consumer behavior in the market, and explain how consumer beliefs related to the market can affect sustainable consumer behavior. First, this study found that gaps in perceived market influence were statistically significant for age and job. Second, environmental concern, organic food consumption (vegetables and meats), and purchase behavior of organic foods were found to be significantly different by degree of perceived market influence of consumers. The mean values were found to be high for the group having strong perceived market influence. This tendency suggests an association between higher perceived market influence consumers and more environmentally friendly consumer behavior. Lastly, this study used Structural Equation Modeling to analyze the effect of perceived market influence as a moderating variable and mediating variable on the relationship between environmental concerns and consumer behavior toward organic foods. The results show a mediating effect on perceived market influence, but a moderating effect could not be found. This result implies that perceived market influence might indirectly affect consumer behavior when transferring environmental concerns to consumer behavior toward organic foods.
Objectives: The purpose of this study is investigate the influences of childhood abuse experience, discipline styles and social support on childcare efficacy according to socio-demographic backgrounds of childcare teachers. Method: For this study's purpose, 200 childcare teachers working at children's schools in J city were surveyed and analyzed for child abuse experience, discipline styles, social support and childcare efficacy. Frequency analysis, t-test, ANOVA and multiple regression analysis were used as study methods. Results: The results of this study are as follows. First, there were statistically significant differences in childhood abuse experiences according to the general characteristics of childcare teachers in the sub-domain of occupational position and marriage status. Second, childcare efficacy and social support were positively correlated, and discipline styles and childcare efficacy were negatively correlated, but there was no correlation between social support and abuse experience. Third, general teaching efficacy regarding childcare efficacy showed a statistical influence of physical abuse, which is a sub-variable of childhood abuse experience. The general efficacy of teaching showed a statistically significant influence on logical discipline and coercive discipline, which are sub-variables of discipline methods. The general teaching efficacy in terms of childcare efficacy showed a statistically significant influence in the family variable which is a sub-variable of social support. The personal teaching efficacy within childcare efficacy showed a statistically significant influence in the logical discipline, a sub-variable of physical abuse, and disciple styles, a sub-variable of childhood abuse experience. Conclusion: From these findings, childcare teachers' childhood abuse experience was a factor affecting childcare efficacy in discipline, social support, and sub-variables. Therefore, it is necessary to remedy the effects of childhood abuse experience, encourage appropriate discipline styles, and to encourage social support in order to improve the childcare efficacy among childcare teachers.
With the diffusion of the Internet, firms try to electronically collaborate with their partners in order to cut costs and gain profits. This, electronic Partnership, called 'Collaborative IT' is quite popular between large purchase enterprises and small-to-medium sized sub-contractors. This study investigates such relations. This study proposes three groups of research variables-interorganizational relationship, collaborative IT activity, and firm performance. the interorganizational relationship consists of trust, commitment, and asymmetry of commitment. Collaborative IT activity is composed of information sharing and workflow integration. The ultimate dependent variable is firm performance. It is hypothesized that the relationship factors influence the level of collaborative IT activity, while the latter in turn affects the firm performance. The relationship factors nay also directly affect the dependent variable. In addition, collaborative IT motive, as a moderating variable, may influence the causal relationship. By means of survey, ore hundred and eighty-two responses were obtained. Most sample companies are small-sized, in the manufacturing sector. The analysis of data reveals that both trust and commitment positively affects the level of collaborative IT activity, while asymmetry of commitment has negative effects. The workflow integration is significantly related with firm performance. Information sharing, however, has no signific3nt effects. Furthermore, asymmetry of commitment shows reverse relationship with firm performance. Collaborative IT motive works as a moderating variable between information sharing and firm performance. Finally, workflow integration is believed to mediate between relationship factors and firm performance.
The thermal eigenvalue responses of the graded sandwich shell structure are evaluated numerically under the variable thermal loadings considering the temperature-dependent properties. The polynomial type rule-based sandwich panel model is derived using higher-order type kinematics considering the shear deformation in the framework of the equivalent single-layer theory. The frequency values are computed through an own home-made computer code (MATLAB environment) prepared using the finite element type higher-order formulation. The sandwich face-sheets and the metal core are discretized via isoparametric quadrilateral Lagrangian element. The model convergence is checked by solving the similar type published numerical examples in the open domain and extended for the comparison of natural frequencies to have the final confirmation of the model accuracy. Also, the influence of each variable structural parameter, i.e. the curvature ratios, core-face thickness ratios, end-support conditions, the power-law indices and sandwich types (symmetrical and unsymmetrical) on the thermal frequencies of FG sandwich curved shell panel model. The solutions are helping to bring out the necessary influence of one or more parameters on the frequencies. The effects of individual and the combined parameters as well as the temperature profiles (uniform, linear and nonlinear) are examined through several numerical examples, which affect the structural strength/stiffness values. The present study may help in designing the future graded structures which are under the influence of the variable temperature loading.
The summarized analysis result of this research is as follows. First, regarding the difference of preceding variable and dependent variable, statistically considerable difference did not appear between self determination and personal relations in educational background and between groups of self determination in hotel type, and statistically considerable difference appeared among other groups. Second, regression analysis result between empowerment and job satisfaction turned out that statistically considerable influence is exerted in the order of personal relations ability, influence power, role performance ability and self-decision nature. Third, regression analysis result between empowerment and job devotion turned out that statistically considerable influence is exerted in the order of personal relations ability, role performance ability and influence power. Fourth, regression analysis result between empowerment and organization devotion turned out that statistically considerable result is exerted in the order of influence power and personal relations ability. Fifth, it turned out that statistically relative high correlation existed among correlation of empowerment and result variable such as job satisfaction, job devotion and organization devotion. The above-mentioned matters considered, this research proposes following points. This research examines the effect of empowerment on job satisfaction and organizational commitment of culinary staff in the hotel. the effect of the variable of empowerment on result variable shows that role performance ability, influence power and personal relations ability are important variables. Therefore, to improve the role performance ability of members of kitchen, it is essential for each individual to improve their ability and to have confidence at the time of business performance. So, this research implies that consistent and systematic training is necessary for increasing the ability and confidence. In order to improve influence power, it is necessary for members of an organization to have strong faith that their jobs determine the success of the company, and to increase the sense of self-control by letting them have the right of self determination, so that all members may have strong desire to transact business. This research implies that in order to improve personal relations ability, it is necessary for members of an organization to discover the best method of decision-making and solve problems through members' developing mutual action, and for managers to take personal characteristics into account so that members may have belief and confidence in their job and realize the value of their job. In conclusion, the person in charge of personnel affairs and the manager in charge of kitchen need to realize the importance of empowerment and especially have an much interest in all parts including self determination, influence power and role performance ability and personal relations ability etc.
