이 연구는 부산광역시 사상공업지역에 입주한 기업의 지식산업혁신거점 조성에 대한 요구를 분석하여 공업지역 활성화를 위한 관련 제도의 개선방향을 제시하고자 한다. 이를 위해 부산 사상공업지역의 물리적 현황분석과 입주기업을 대상으로 한 설문조사를 이용하였다. 연구의 주요결과는 다음과 같다. 첫째, 산업물류를 다루는 공업지역임에도 도로율이 낮고, 필지 규모가 작아 대부분의 입주기업이 영세성을 면치 못하고 있다. 둘째, 공업지역 활성화 시범사업의 인지도는 낮지만 공업지역 혁신과 시범사업 필요도, 기대효과는 상대적으로 높았다. 셋째, 시범사업의 혁신거점조성에 대한 기대가 높으며(90.3%), 핵심적 도입기능으로는 연구개발센터 입주를 강하게 희망하고 있다. 이러한 분석에 기초하여, 공업지역 활성화를 위한 법·제도의 시행에 따른 정비계획의 방향을 제안하면 다음과 같다. 첫째, 대상지 내 업종 간 연계성, 어떤 업종이 성장우위에 있는지 세부적인 기초조사를 통한 검토가 선행되어야 한다. 둘째, 산업혁신거점 조성은 주변 공업지역에 파급력이 있고 업종별 지원을 할 수 있는 센터로 운영될 수 있도록 조처해야 한다. 셋째, 공업지역의 혁신적인 변화는 주요 이해당사자가 협력하여 활성화 방안을 지속적으로 개발하고 연구함으로써 실행력을 높여야 한다.

Ultrasound imaging is a widely used tool for visualizing human body's internal organs and quantifying clinical parameters. Due to its advantages such as safety, non-invasiveness, portability, low cost and real-time 2D/3D imaging, diagnostic ultrasound industry has steadily grown. Since the technology advancements such as digital beam-forming, Doppler ultrasound, real-time 3D imaging and automated diagnosis techniques, there are still a lot of demands for image quality improvement, faster and accurate imaging, 3D color Doppler imaging and advanced functional imaging modes. In order to satisfy those demands, mathematics should be used properly and effectively in ultrasound imaging. Mathematics has been used commonly as mathematical modelling, numerical solutions and visualization, combined with science and engineering. In this article, we describe a brief history of ultrasound imaging, its basic principle, its applications in obstetrics/gynecology, cardiology and radiology, domestic-industrial products, contributions of mathematics and challenging issues in ultrasound imaging.

In automobile industry, the depot (distribution center) system is utilized to adjust the inventory and to supply the demands to the firm timely. In case of the small lot demands of short delivery cycle and the long distance from the parts manufacturing to the firm, the depot system is very important. In this paper, a model to minimize the sum of costs of holding, inventory and transportation, is proposed to determine the optimal quantities of production and transportation in JTT system. Finally, computational results that verify the effectiveness of the proposed model are demonstrated.

This study is to provide information in the development of energy conservation technologies by means of technological demand survey covering energy market and industrial field among energy-related technologies. For this purpose, we check both the present state of energy technologies and trends of social change in Korea, and then combine social needs with major, bottleneck, and essential technologies required for the future. The range of this study covers the field of industry, kiln, furnace, metal, building, transport, and electricity. For case study, valid 120 companies among the 500 companies selected randomly in the energy data-base of Korea institute of energy research (KIER) are considered.

New cities and industrial complexes are being developed actively because of the government policies aiming population distribution and vitalization of construction industry. To determine the investment amount, number of power lines and substations for stable power supply to newly developed residential and industrial complexes, accurate estimation of power demand is necessary. This paper propose standards for the estimation of power demands for power company and construction company to settle the debates surrounding this issue. Through a survey and analysis of existing areas, new standards that will enable more accurate estimation of power demands in new cities complexes to be developed in the future are established by calculating the average load density, load factor, utilization factor by area, use and building size after dividing the facilities into building type and the areas into the areas planned to be developed and the areas not yet planned to be developed.

The issue of increasing the number of physicians is emerging. Because the physician workforce is a critical component of the health care system, and substantial costs are involved in training personnel, a cautious approach is required. The demand to increase the number of physicians is based on the contention that there are difficulties in accessing essential health services and the need to prepare for future demands such as fostering physician-scientists. However, simply increasing the number of physicians is not an appropriate approach to address these demands, especially considering that the effects of such an increase will appear 10 years later. Moreover, it is concerned that the current argument for increasing the physician workforce is intertwined with political interests. When considering the impact on the health care system, decisions regarding the expansion of the physician workforce should be based on evidence. Additionally, rather than temporarily responding to social issues, it is expected that a governance system will be established to continuously discuss and decide on fostering medical personnel.

This research note probes the largely ignored sphere of smart tourism curriculum as destinations and institutions seek to develop graduates ready to embrace the demands and challenges of future work environments where technology has a ubiquitous presence. This knowledge gap is somewhat surprising, even as destinations progress towards smart tourism futures, without necessarily clarifying what human resources need to possess in the coming decades. Drawing from available smart tourism curriculum across the globe, and emergent trends associated with Generation Alpha and Beta, this research note paints a timely picture of how smart tourism curriculum should be designed and developed to meet the needs of industry and consumer demands and expectations.

Korean logistics industry have been focused on transportation business. However, with the expansion of the electronic commerce and on-line shopping, delivery service is now dramatically growing. Despite the expansion of logistics market, the domestic logistics industry have significant structural problems such as low productivity comparing with the advanced countries, relatively high cost and shortage of human resources and lack of professionalism of people in the industry. Logistics companies reallocate employees, use subcontractors, expand consignment and training the employees to overcome the labor shortages but it has some limits. In recognition of the importance of labor in the logistics industry, financial support and investment have increased. Logistics companies tend to hire consultants, set up logistics department or R&D center in order to establish highly productive logistics process and system so it is viewed that there will be considerable demands of human resources in the logistics industry. This study indicates implications and development direction of human resources in the logistics industry by looking into prospect and characteristic of the industry, employment status, training programs and qualification requirements.

Recently, The Bali Road Map was approved, as it demands that developing countries should also have the responsibility of greenhouse gas reduction from 2013. This suggests that the greenhouse gas and environment should be controlled across industry sectors. Accordingly, this study was conducted to identify the application and effects of the IT convergence technology to the smart farm and realize the low-carbon green industry in Korea. The smart farm technologies within and outside of Korea were comparatively analyzed for the low-carbon green industry policy. The study subjects were determined to propose the necessity of the study efficiently. First, the studies on the smart farm for low-carbon green industry policy were examined. Second, the suitable IT technology for the smart farm as well as the effect and the improvement plan of the IT technology-based smart farm system were examined. This study now aims to promote the low-carbon green industry policy and IT convergence technology and job creation. These will be achieved by providing the plan for linking the system simulator organization with the low-carbon green industry policy.

본 연구의 목적은 최근 관광환경의 변화가 상대적으로 두드러진 강원 남부지역을 사례로 관광객. 관광자원 관광사업의 구조적 특성과 변화를 지역적으로 비교 분석함으로써 강원 남부지역의 관광구조적 문제점을 진단하고 개선방안을 모색하는데 있다. 강원 남부지역의 관광구조적 특징은 강릉.원주 등 교통중심지와 정선.태백 삼척 등 석탄산지의 관광수요 규모가 크고 성장률이 현저한 반면 지역적으로 자연관광자원에 대한 높은 의존도, 관광수요의 하계 집중현상, 관광편의시설의 영세성 등이 문제점으로 드러났다. 이에 강원 남부지역의 지속 가능한 관광발전을 위하여 관광자원의 다양성 확보, 관광자원의 유형별 목록화, 지역간의 관광연계 프로그램 개발, 관광편의시설의 고급화, 관광시장의 확대, 관광권역의 세분화 등이 요구되고 있다.
