The Research for the Framework of CMMS Method for Improving the Reusability and Interoperability in defense M&S (국방 M&S의 재사용성과 상호운영성 향상을 위한 임무공간 개념모델(CMMS) 적용방안)

  • The defense M&S (Modeling and Simulation) techniques are being used by the ROK Army for developing the efficiency and economics of national defense at operational level. But the problem we have found is the lack of interoperability and reusability in defense M&S. CMMS (Conceptual Model of the Mission Space) method have been used by militaries of some advanced countries for the purpose to solve these problems. Therefore, we have adapted the same approach in this paper as adapted by advanced countries military forces as named it as K-CMMS(Korean-Conceptual Model of the Mission Space). Considering the special ROK factors, we have suggested the framework of K-CMMS. We have tried to search for improving the reusability and interoperability in defense M&S.

  • 본 논문에서는 급전지역분소 전력감시 시스템 운영자를 대상으로 하는 훈련시스템을 제안하였다. PC Platform에서 개발하여 운영자가 용이하게 설치, 관리가 가능하도록 하였으며 현재 설치되어 있는 SCADA 시스템의 MMI와 유사하게 구성하여 SCADA 조작 훈련에 대한 효과를 극대화 하였고 SCADA 데이터 베이스와 동일하게 데이터베이스를 구현함으로서 데이터 베이스 조작훈련이 가능하고 차단기 제어시 COS처리, 이벤트 발생에 대한 시각화를 용이하게 하여 운영자로 하여금 SCADA 시스템의 동작에 대한 이해를 도울 수 있도록 처리하였다. 또한, 모의사고 발생기능을 지원하여 사고 발생시 차단기의 동작 및 이에 따른 전력계통의 변화를 훈련자가 인식할 수 있게 하였다. 제안한 시스템으로 인하여 SCC SCADA 운영자에 대한 용이한 훈련이 가능함으로서 실제 SCADA 조작시 오조작을 방지할 수 있으며 사고발생시 신속한 복구작업을 가능하게 함으로서 전력계통 운전의 효율성을 향상할 수 있는 효과를 가져올 수 있다.

A Case Study of Prosthetic Ambulation Training for Upper and Both Lower Extremity Amputated Patient (상지 및 하지절단 환자의 의지보행훈련 증례연구)

  • The purpose of this study is to announce the present condition, walking training, and adaptable training of a limb amputated patient. The study is a successful report of the limb amputated patient through the medical treatment of the physical therapy. A cause of the limb amputated patient, a truck driver, was that the patient was hit by a train when the driver alight from the truck. Then, the driver was surgical operated on left AK (Above Knee) amputation and left AE (Above Elbow) amputation by orthopedics at the Young Dong Severance Hospital on Dec.7, 1996. Two weeks after the operation (Dec., 22, 1996), the patient was trained at the Yonsei Medical Center Physical Therapy Hospital for the walking and temper adjust training. It was possible to do a flat surface walking and a slope surface walking without helping due to the patients optimistic personal character and motivation. However, the patient struggled to a dull surface walking and his weak endurance. the patient has several problems when the patient wears artificial legs and hands, fears on fall down, and mentally worries on noise when he walks. It is necessary to approach for this problems by many fields of the helpers, such as Rehabilitation medical doctor, physical therapist, occupational therpist, artificial limbs makers, psychologists, and etc. Therefore, in order for recovering from the amputated parts function after the surgical operation, more approved reports have to be for the amputated patients due to increasing traffic accidents, industrial disaster, cancer, diabetes, obstacles of the peripheral nervous system, and etc.

  • IEC 60300 series, the international standards on dependability management system are newly developed and introduced rapidly worldwide. In order to meet this situation, it is necessary to apply them to the Korean industries effectively. This requires for us to prepare in advance for the introduction of the certification system of IEC 60300. It includes the establishment of the infrastructure such as documentation of Korean Standards, introduction of test equipments and test manuals, recognition of the certification body and training of specialists etc. This paper addresses the first step for the Introduction of IEC 60300. It includes the necessity of introduction of the system, general requirements and procedures for the certification of the industries, sampling methods design and establishment of the dependability assurance system of the materials.

  • The aviation safety policy master plan is promoting the development of aviation safety management technology applying the 4th industrial revolution technology with the goal of establishing a flawless aviation safety management system and establishing a future aviation safety infrastructure. The master plan includes the establishment of various aviation safety management systems such as aircraft fault management using AI & Big data and flight training system using VR/AR. Currently, the Air Force is promoting a flight safety management system using new technology under the goal of building smart air force. Therefore, this study intends to apply the 4th Industrial Revolution technology to the aircraft condition check system that finally checks the safety of the aircraft before flight. The Air Force conducts airframe flaw checks and pre-flight aircraft check. In this study, we architect the airframe flaw check system using AI and drones, and the pre-flight aircraft condition check system using the IoT and big data for more precise and detailed check of aircraft condition and flawlessness check.

Implementation of a Micro Drill Bit Foreign Matter Inspection System Using Deep Learning

  • This paper implemented a drill bit foreign matter inspection system based on the YOLO V3 algorithm and evaluated its performance. The study trained the YOLO V3 model using 600 training data to distinguish between the normal and foreign matter states of the drill bit. The implemented inspection system accurately analyzed the state of the drill bit and effectively detected defects through automatic inspection. The performance evaluation was performed on drill bits used more than 2,000 times, and achieved a recognition rate of 98% for determining whether resharpening was possible. The goal of foreign matter removal in the cleaning process was evaluated as 99.6%, and the automatic inspection system could inspect more than 500 drill bits per hour, which was about 4.3 times faster than the existing manual inspection method and recorded a high accuracy of 99%. These results show that the automated inspection system can dramatically improve inspection speed and accuracy, and can contribute to quality improvement and cost reduction in manufacturing sites. In future studies, it is necessary to develop more efficient and reliable inspection technology through system optimization and performance improvement.

Governmentality, Training, and Subjectivation in Mark Twain's A Connecticut Yankee in King Arthur's Court (『아더 왕궁의 코네티컷 양키』에 나타난 근대적 통치성)

  • This study aims to examine Mark Twain's criticism of American capitalistic ideals in the late nineteenth century. During this second industrial revolution, industry showed rapid growth and capitalism established an order, while America suffered under the monopolization of capitalistic conglomerates. This resulted in the widening gap between the rich and the poor and the dehumanization caused by rapid industrialization. In A Connecticut Yankee in King Arthur's Court, Hank Morgan, the protagonist--who represents nineteenth-century America's industrialism, individualism, and capitalism--is sent back in time to the sixth century of Arthurian England. Hank attempts to introduce nineteenth-century technologies and machines to build a capitalistic system in the middle ages. However, Hank's efforts lead to disaster in which the country and civilization he worked to build is completely destroyed. Although Twain does not deny capitalistic ideals, he criticizes the "governmentality" that operates Hank's reform system to the extreme. Hank values efficiency and utilizes human beings as capital. Hank's economic reason not only transforms the Round-Table knights into speculators but also transforms their religious acts and abstract ideals into moneymaking businesses. The destructive ending anticipates the World Wars and the Great Depression in the first half of twentieth century and even serves to predict the dangers that follow.

A Study about nessesity for training an educator of popular music -Concentrating on the establishment of institution and a certificate of qualification- (대중음악 지도자 양성 필요성에 대한 고찰 -기관 및 자격증의 설립을 중심으로-)

  • This study assesses the necessity of popular music instructor training, and promotes the establishment of popular music educational institutions and certification related to applied music education. Popular music has profound influence in popular culture, and is gradually diversifying. However, successful singers predominantly remain mostly boy/girl performance groups lacking musical skills. This study posits the cause of this problem is the absence of popular music instructor training systems, and suggests solutions. Currently, Korea's popular music lacks a public education system that teaches students effectively. Also, popular music is acknowledged as field-oriented, and isn't recognized for its academic value. Lastly, the lack of professional instructor training system in higher educational institutions creates challenges in fostering effective teachers. Solutions to these problems include establishing dedicated educational institutions and establishing certification programs. Implementing these solutions will provide significant positive effects in developing globalization for the currently stagnant K-pop industry. In addition, these solutions would contribute to the stabilization of the popular music industry, enhancing the image, and developing the popular music industry in general. In conclusion, this study promotes the popular music industry development by influencing and promoting awareness of music professionals, not just applied music students.

Analysis on the effects that affect the organizational achievement by each factor of the multi-rater feedback system of public enterprises (공기업 다면평가제도의 각 요인별 조직성과에 미치는 영향 분석)

  • This study, centering on public enterprises, has been conducted from 4 different perspectives such as grasping the effects that the factor precedent of the multi-rater feedback affects on the usefulness of evaluation and the effects that the usefulness of evaluation affects on the organizational achievement, checking on whether there is any discrepancy among the effects affecting on the usefulness of evaluation in accordance with the degree of advance training on the evaluation system, and being what kind of effects the usefulness of valuation that the appraised eventually understand affects on the organizational achievement. As result of the study, the factor precedent that are confidence of the appraisers and the support from CEO reasonably affected on the usefulness of evaluation, but the standard referred to evaluation was not reasonable. It became resultantly clear that the confidence of the appraisers held the effect of control from the verification of whether there is the effect of control between the factor precedent and the usefulness of evaluation in accordance with the degree of advance training. However, it turned out that the standard referred to evaluation and the support from CEO held no effect of control. As result, It was possible to confirm that the usefulness of evaluation in this study affects directly or indirectly to the organizational achievement such as organizational immersion, job satisfaction, self development opportunity, and organizational revitalization as influenced by the prior factors, and the advance training was partially effective on the adjusting effect.

Introduction to Improve for Testing Method of National Technology Qualification to Meet Demands From the era of Knowledge & Information (지식.정보화시대에 요구되는 국가기술자격 검정방법 도입을 위한 연구 - 기능장, 기사, 산업기사, 기능사를 중심으로 -)

  • Due to developments in information technology and ensuing changes in the concept of time and space, the significance of national boundaries has been weakened, bringing to attention the heightened competition among nations. In order to respond to these transformations, the Korean government is increasing its efforts to raise the authenticity of the National Technology Qualification System(NTQS) by closely linking NTQS testing method and procedure to practical knowledge and skills in the industry field. This initiative is based on the recognition that the human resources development is a crucial factor in determining a nation's competitiveness. This study aimed, first of all, to diagnose the problems directly and indirectly affecting the testing method in the current NTQS. And then, differentiated solutions according to grade and improvements in the testing infrastructure were suggested. The ultimate purpose was to provide a blueprint for enhancing national competitiveness through increased authenticity and efficiency of the NTQS. Research methods applied during this study include: the collection and review of qualification-related literature; a series of conferences with leading experts; interviews with vocational educators and researchers from qualification-related institutes; a survey of national qualification holders from a variety of professions and industries; and participatory observation at qualification exam centers.
