전자.통신 분야에서 중소기업 규모에 따른 내.외부 혁신활동이 혁신성과에 미치는 영향에 관한 연구 (The Effect of Innovation Activities on Innovation Performance according to the size of SMEs in the Field of Electronics and Communication Industry)

  • The Purpose of this study is to empirically examine the impact of various internal and external innovation activities of SMEs on their innovation performances in the field of electronics and communication industry. Drawing upon the literature review, internal and external innovation activities are defined and conceptualized, and independent, dependent and moderator variables are developed. We have used survey-based data for this study from the survey of technology innovation activities in manufacturing industry, which was conducted by the Science and Technology Policy Institute (STEPI) in 2010. The main result of this study shows that there were no significant differences in the impact of innovation activities on market performance according to the size of SMEs. On the other hands, we found that there were significant differences in the impact of innovation activities on technological innovation performance according to the size of SMEs. Therefore, in order to make high technological innovation performance, companies in the field of electronics and communication industry need to properly implement the internal and external innovation activities by considering their size.

충북의 지역혁신체계 구축을 위한 혁신클러스터 육성전략 (Industrial Policies for Building the Regional Innovation System of Chungbuk Province)

  • This paper aims at renewing the regional innovation system being embossed increasingly as a new paradigm to develop the regional area, using the innovational cluster based on the industrial properties and innovative base in Chungbuk province. As shown in the results of many researches, Chungbuk province is evaluated highly in regional innovation capability and is satisfied with the level of speciality in technical industry so that it has a potential capability to build the regional innovation system. However the clustering competition is growing in intensity between regional groups and there is a possible situation centralized by the high-tech industry into the metropolitan, so building the specialized innovation cluster requires advanced policy decisions and efforts in our won way. Ultimately, for the purpose of structuring the regional innovation system, the specialized innovation cluster reflected in regional industry and capability would be essential. It is time for Chungbuk province to prepare policies in order to make the Chungbuk-type innovation cluster which is neither uniform nor omnipresent.

비 기술혁신과 기업의 경영성과 사이에서 전유성의 매개효과 (Mediating effect of appropriation between non-technical innovation and business performance)

  • 본 연구에서는 조직혁신과 마케팅혁신 같은 비 기술혁신 활동 이외에 전유성은 어떠한 메커니즘을 가지고 기업의 경영성과에 영향을 미치는지에 대해서 실증분석을 통해 검증하고자 하였다. 이에 과학기술정책연구원(STEPI)에서 실시한 '2018년 한국기업혁신조사: 제조업부분'으로부터 자료를 수집하여 분석 데이터로 활용하였고 회귀분석을 통해 가설을 검증한 결과 비 기술혁신은 경영성과를 향상시키고, 전유성은 비 기술혁신에 영향을 받으며, 경영성과 사이에 매개 요인으로 작용함을 실증분석을 통해 검증하였다. 이러한 것을 통해 최근 연구되고 있는 비 기술혁신에 대하여 비 기술혁신과 함께 전유성을 고려하는 것이 의미 있는 연구가 될 수 있음을 도출하였고, 실무적 시사점으로는 전유성의 확보가 기업의 경영성과를 결정하는 중요한 요인이기에 기업에서는 전유성 확보를 위한 전략적 통찰이 필요하다. 한계점으로는 비 기술혁신과 전유성의 매개효과를 가지는 것을 검증하는 연구로 제한하였으며, 추후 연구에는 보다 다양한 검증 방법을 통해 기업의 경영성과에 미치는 연구로 발전해 나가는 것도 가능할 것으로 판단된다.

중소기업의 기술지향성과 영향요인의 관계에 관한 연구 (A Study on Technological Orientation of Small and Medium-sized Companies and its Relationship with Influencing Factors)

  • This study was motivated by the attempt to examine from versatile viewpoints the structural relationship between industrial environment, technology orientation and performances which are all factors related to technical innovation of small and medium-sized companies. In this regard, a survey was conducted to investigate the late industrial environment that could have direct and indirect impacts on the technology orientation of small and medium industry and, based on the survey, an analysis was carried out to determine the effects of its technology orientation on the performances in the technological innovation and management. The outcomes of the analysis could be summed up as follows: First, the factors of technology orientation turned out to have influence on those of industrial environment, which suggests the needs for the small and medium industry to consider the factors of industrial environment at multiple levels. Second, the technology orientation was found to influence the performances of technology innovation and management of small and medium industry in a structural manner, which signifies that the small and medium sized companies have to make strategic decision about the preference in the area of technology innovation and management performances.

R&D Transitions in Response to Digital Transformation in Korea

  • With the rapid development of the Fourth Industrial Revolution and digital transformation, scientific and technological innovation measures are being devised to overcome Korea's low-growth, high-cost structure. Accordingly, by examining the R&D investment evaluation system of R&D PIE (R&D Platform for Investment and Evaluation), which has been promoted by the Korean government in response to the Fourth Industrial Revolution, from the perspective of R&D transformation, this study aims to explore a new path for a sustainable national science and technology innovation system following digital transformation. In particular, from the perspective of R&D PIE, a MLP (Multi-level Perspective), which had been conducted as an abstract theoretical study, was attempted with specific cases and analysis for each of the three layers: niche, landscape, and regime. In conclusion, R&D PIE was intended to elevate the abstract R&D investment evaluation system to a platform that leads innovation in the digital space of the Fourth Industrial Revolution. In addition, it was confirmed that the R&D PIE could be replaced or enhanced as a platform for innovation in response to the Fourth Industrial Revolution, thereby providing an alternative to job creation and an escape from economic crisis.

벤처기업의 내부 자원과 비즈니스모델 혁신성이 산업재산 성과에 미치는 영향 연구 (A Study on the Effect of Internal Resources and Business model Innovation of Venture Enterprises on Industrial Property Performance)

  • 본 연구는 벤처기업의 기술사업화에 산업재산권의 확보가 긍정적 영향을 미친다는 선행연구를 토대로 벤처기업의 내부 자원과 역량, 비즈니스모델 혁신 수준이 산업재산 성과에 영향을 파악하고자 접근하였다. 벤처기업 역량을 기업이 가지고 있는 내재적 요소(기업의 연구 자원)와 이를 구현해 내는 창발적 요소(사업화 역량)로 구분하고, 이들이 비즈니스모델의 혁신으로 기업의 잠재적 경쟁력으로 이어질 수 있음을 보이고자 하였다. 이러한 연구 목적을 검증하기 위하여 2019년 벤처기업정밀실태조사 대상 벤처확인기업 중 1,733개 법인기업을 대상으로 실증분석을 수행하였다. 벤처기업의 연구 자원, 사업화 역량은 산업재산 성과에 (+)로 유의한 것으로 확인되었다. 그러나, 비즈니스모델의 혁신성의 조절변수를 모두 적용한 최종 연구모형에서는 사업화 역량, 비즈니스모델 혁신은 (-)로 유의하였으며, 연구 자원×비즈니스모델 혁신, 사업화 역량×비즈니스모델 혁신은 (+)로 유의한 결과를 보였다. 이는 벤처기업의 우수한 자원과 역량은 개별적으로는 산업 재산 성과에 긍정적 영향을 미칠 수는 있으나, 실제 비즈니스모델의 혁신 수준을 적용했을 때는 비즈니스모델과 상호 작용해야 긍정적 영향을 주었으며, 사업화 역량과 비즈니스모델 혁신이 개별적으로만 작용할 경우 실제 사업화에 한계가 있을 것으로 인식하고 산업재산권 확보 노력을 하지 않는 것으로 해석된다. 본 연구의 결과는, 벤처기업의 산업재산 확보와 혁신 성장을 위해서는 기업의 우수한 내부 자원 및 역량 강화와 함께 비즈니스모델 구성요소 중 경쟁자 대비 분명한 차별화 요인을 확보하는 비즈니스모델 혁신을 추구해야 함을 실증했다는 것에서 의의가 있다.

  • Six sigma activities in an information and communication technology company in Korea are introduced. Korea Telecom(KT) was a public company for a long time and became a private enterprise not long ago. Although this company adopted many innovation programs, they were not effective because of the company's characteristics : long-time government-owned and information service industry. This paper describes the reason why KT introduced six sigma, some implementation strategy, and key factors to successfully deploy it. This paper is expected to be helpful to public or service industry in which it is very difficult to implement innovation activities.

How Collaborative Innovation and Technology in Educational Ecosystem Can Meet the Challenges Raised by the 4th Industrial Revolution

  • Nowadays, we are standing in front of the $4^{th}$ Industrial Revolution that is featured by a great range of new and advanced technologies that influences all the domains of economies and industries. The great question that this revolution raises is how it can lead to a future that reflects the peoples' common objectives and values on how these advanced technologies can affect the life and transform the economic, social, cultural, and human environment. It is commonly agreed that to be adapted to these changes and needs and shape a society with competitive economies with highly-skilled individuals, we need to encourage innovation, entrepreneurship, new knowledge generation and exchange and true and effective collaboration and communication. In this complex scene, education seems to have a central and critical role on finding new ways of developing expertise and innovation within the existing knowledge procedures, with more and better cooperation between the key players. This paper argues the concepts, opportunities and challenges that are related to the learning ecosystem towards the needs raised by the $4^{th}$ Industrial Revolution. The education is discussed as catalyst but also as carrier of innovation and innovation practices and the basis of a relevant framework is presented that takes into account all the aspects, domains and key players of educational world and interacting domains. Having introduced the ideas of innovation, collaboration and technology advancement in this environment, this paper also presents a real case of practice, focusing on how more than 5.000 schools around Europe succeeded the last four (4) years to implement innovation activities in a collaborative way and under a unique but also flexible pedagogical innovation framework.

  • This thesis introduced a model of diagnosing a company's quality management, and a process of achieving quality innovation based on the model. As for study methods, books and theses related to quality and process innovation were collected for investigation, a survey on internal employees to investigate major issues of quality and standard consciousness was conducted, and 5DP was discussed for balanced process analysis.

  • We investigate the sensitivity of symmetry quantification algorithms based on the profile R-factor (Rp) and the normalized cross-correlation (NCC) coefficient (γ). A DM (Digital Micrograph©) script embedded in the Gatan digital microscopy software is used to develop the symmetry quantification program. Using the Bloch method, a variety of CBED patterns are simulated and used to investigate the sensitivity of symmetry quantification algorithms. The quantification results show that two symmetry quantification coefficients are significantly sensitive to structural changes even for small strain values of < 1%.
