환형 인덕티브 센서의 설계 및 압력센서로의 적용 (Ring-Shaped Inductive Sensor Design and Application to Pressure Sensing)

  • 자기유도(inductive) 센서는 원리가 간단하고 경제적이어서 변위, 힘, 압력 등 다양한 물리량 측정에 사용된다. 본 논문에서는 고리 모양의 강판과 코일로 이루어진 간단한 구조의 자기유도 센서를 제안하였다. 센서의 인덕턴스를 자기회로 방법을 이용하여 추정하고 유한요소 해석을 통해 검증하였다. 고리의 고유 진동수를 Castigliano 정리와 등가 질량 방법을 이용하여 추정하고 실험 및 유한요소 해석을 통해 검증하였다. 기계적 진동에 영향을 주지 않도록 센서의 가진 주파수를 결정하였으며, 구동 및 신호처리 회로를 설계하여 센서를 제작하였다. 제작된 자기유도 센서를 유연관 내부의 유체 압력을 비침습적으로 측정하는데 활용하였다. 압력과 센서 출력 간의 관계를 이차식 형태로 표현하면 2% 이내의 정확도로 압력을 측정할 수 있어 압력 센서로서의 가능성을 확인하였다.

배전급 고온초전도 한류기 절연설계 최적화 연구 (A Study on Optimal Insulation Design of the Distribution Level HTS FCL)

  • In this study, superconducting coil arrangements and cryostat concept design were conducted for the development of 13.2kV/630A bifilar winding type high temperature superconducting(HTS) fault current limiter(FCL) with YBCO coated conductor(CC) wire. The coil consists of several layers with unique non-inductive solenoid winding method. Six types of HTS coil arrangements were investigated for the optimal insulation design of HTS FCL. And, conceptual design of cryostat was conducted for the decrement of thermal invasion and the prevention of low voltage insulation breakdown in the LHe which is used as pressurization gas in sub-cooling condition of liquid nitrogen(LN2). As the results, it was found that the modified suspended type cryostat with horizontal coil arrangement is beneficial to the insulation design of 13.2kV level bifilar winding type HTS FCL.

Standardized Design of the Transmitting Coils in Inductive Coupled Endoscope Robot Driving Systems

  • A transmitting coil with an optimal topology and number of turns can effectively improve the performance of the wireless power transfer (WPT) systems for endoscope robots. This study proposes the evaluation parameters of the transmitting coils related to the performance of the WPT system to standardize the design of the transmitting coils. It considers both the quality factor of transmitting coils and the coupling factor between the two sides. Furthermore, an analytical model of transmitting coils with different topologies is built to exactly estimate the evaluation parameters. Several coils with the specified topologies are wound to verify the analytical model and the feasibility of evaluation parameters. In the case of a constant power received, the related evaluation parameters are proportional to the transfer efficiency of the WPT system. Therefore, the applicable frequency ranges of transmitting coils with different topologies are determined theoretically. Then a transmitting coil with a diameter of 69 cm is re-optimized both theoretically and experimentally. The transfer efficiency of the WPT system is increased from 3.58% to 7.37% with the maximum magnetic field intensity permitted by human tissue. Finally, the standardized design of the transmitting coil is achieved by summing-up and facilitating the optimization of the coils in various situations.

이중코일을 이용한 자기유도 무선충전 코일의 자유도 개선 (Improved Degree of Freedom of Magnetic Induction Wireless Charging Coil Using Proposed Double Coil)

  • 무선충전은 전선 없이 전자기기를 충전할 수 있다는 사용자의 편의적인 측면에 장점이 커 활발히 연구개발되고 널리 보급되었다. 하지만 무선충전패드에서 수신기의 중심이 어긋날 경우에 충전이 되지 않아 수신기의 중심을 잘 맞춰야 한다는 점은 사용자의 편의성이라는 무선충전의 효용성을 크게 저감시킨다. 본 논문은 이러한 무선충전의 한계를 극복하고자 수신기의 위치 자유도를 향상시키기 위한 코일 설계를 진행하였다. Tx 코일이 Rx 코일과 사이즈가 비슷할 때보다 외경 크기가 클 때 중심에서 효율은 다소 저하되었지만, 중심이 어긋날 경우의 효율이 개선되어 Rx 코일의 위치 자유도가 향상됨을 알 수 있었다. 이 때, Tx 코일에 내측 코일이 추가로 구성된 이중코일 구조를 제안하여 효율을 추가적으로 향상시킬 수 있었다. 자유도 개선 결과를 시뮬레이션과 측정을 통해 효율을 확인하였고, 경향성이 일치함을 볼 수 있었다. 측정 결과, 105~210 kHz 동작 주파수에서 송수신 코일의 전송거리 3 mm, 오정렬 15 mm일 때, 수신 코일에 전류가 1A 흐를 때 기준으로 기존 Tx 코일의 전송 효율은 37 %, 외경 크기를 키운 코일의 효율은 45 %, 내측 코일을 추가한 이중 코일은 47 %로 효율이 향상되었다.

고장 허용 유도형 위치 센서 설계 (Design of Fault-Tolerant Inductive Position Sensor)

  • The position sensors used in a magnetic bearing system are desirable to provide some degree of fault-tolerance as the rotor position is necessary for the feedback control to overcome the open-loop instability. In this paper, we propose an inductive position sensor that can cope with a partial fault in the sensor. The sensor has multiple poles which can be combined to sense the in-plane motion of the rotor. When a high-frequency voltage signal drives each pole of the sensor, the resulting current in the sensor coil contains information regarding the rotor position. The signal processing circuit of the sensor extracts this position information. In this paper, we used the magnetic circuit model of the sensor that shows the analytical relationship between the sensor output and the rotor motion. The multi-polar structure of the sensor makes it possible to introduce redundancy which can be exploited for fault-tolerant operation. The proposed sensor is applied to a magnetically levitated turbo-molecular vacuum pump. Experimental results validate the fault-tolerance algorithm.

새로운 구조의 접촉식 미세구조 프로필러 (A Newly Designed Contact Profiler for Microstructure)

  • A simple and low cost stylus profiler made of ferrite cores is developed. The devised profiler consists of a contact probe, a measuring transducer, a signal processing unit, and a motorized stage. The contact probe attached to 4-bar spring maintains sufficient stiffness to protect disturbances. An overlap-area type inductive position sensing system is selected as a measuring transducer, which has high sensitivity, repeatability and linearity. The transducer is composed of coil bundles and ferrite cores which have good electromagnetic characteristics in spite of low cost. The repeatability of the profiler with the proposed inductive sensing system is better than 50nm. Experimental results are shown that the proposed profiler can measure the line or 3D profile of an object with sub-micron features.

기어 축의 기어 및 이 끝 위치 판별을 위한 유도형 센서시스템의 개발에 관한 연구 (A Study on Development of Inductive Sensor System for Locating Geared Part and Gear Position in Geared Shaft)

  • An inductive sensor system is proposed to detect the gear location and angular position of a geared shaft for automatic feeding of the shaft into the proper cutting position of the other end. The system consists of two set of coils, bridge circuit, signal condition circuit, and microprocessor. The coil sensors of the system measure changes of inductance along with the surface position of a geared shaft. The inductance changes are transformed to voltages by the bridge circuit, which are then conditioned and processed for the recognition of the gear. In order to incorporate with the experimental results with the sensor system, a finite element method (FEM) simulation for the magnetic field between the sensor and the shaft was carried out. The predicted results and the experiments revealed that the sensor system was appropriate for sensing the position of gear and the angular position of gear tooth of a geared shaft.

Numerical estimation on balance coefficients of central difference averaging method for quench detection of the KSTAR PF coils

  • A quench detection system of KSTAR Poloidal Field (PF) coils is inevitable for stable operation because normal zone generates overheating during quench occurrence. Recently, new voltage quench detection method, combination of Central Difference Averaging (CDA) and Mutual Inductance Compensation (MIK) for compensating mutual inductive voltage more effectively than conventional voltage detection method, has been suggested and studied. For better performance of mutual induction cancellation by adjacent coils of CDA+MIK method for KSTAR coil system, balance coefficients of CDA must be estimated and adjusted preferentially. In this paper, the balance coefficients of CDA for KSTAR PF coils were numerically estimated. The estimated result was adopted and tested by using simulation. The CDA method adopting balance coefficients effectively eliminated mutual inductive voltage, and also it is expected to improve performance of CDA+MIK method for quench detection of KSTAR PF coils.

자기유도를 이용한 조향각 센서의 특성 연구 (A Study on the Characteristics of Steering Angle Sensor using Magnetic Induction)

  • We have development the steering angle sensor using not only detecting parts but also integrating technique with semiconductors for automobile applications. The performance design and analysis of the steering angle sensor for intelligent vehicles is complicated due to variety of parameters. In this study, the performance characteristics of the angle sensor were analyzed using test rig. By means of magnetic induction technique, these new the steering angle sensors showed excellent magnetic characteristics. The detection range of steering angle sensor obtained was ${\pm}800^{\circ}$, the maximum non-linearity is 0.744% Full Span and the temperature range was $-40^{\circ}C{\sim}+125^{\circ}C$. With this conclusive, the inductive angle sensor was quite satisfactory for many applications in intelligent vehicles.

  • In this paper, dc reactor lot the inductive high-Tc superconducting fault current limiter (SFCL) was optimally designed by finite element method(FEM). The Prototype high-Tc do reactor was manufactured and compared to the results of design. This dc reactor consists of 4∼stacked double pancake coils which are wounded with Bi-2223 wire coated with SUS315L. Kapton tape is used for the insulation of turn to turn and layer to layer. Each pancake is connected in series by soldering Finally, optimal design and manufacture method lot the dc reactor is suggested in this paper. Through the comparison of result of optimal design and experimental result of prototype high-Tc superconducting dc reactor, reliance on the design of the high-Tc dc reactor tot the 1.2 kV/80 A SFCL is proved.
