A Comparative Analysis of Undergraduate and Postgraduate Training in Health Care Management

  • This study is to prepare curriculum in South Korea to train outstanding individual in the fields of Health Care Management for the global age, hospitals' administration managers, professors and students were targeted to carry out the survey and the collected questionnaires were processed with SPSS Ver. 21.0 statistic package, based on this the suitability of the current Health Care Management curriculum and postgraduate curriculum was inspected and improvement plan was deducted, and also through comparative analysis of the Health Care Management curriculum for undergraduate and postgraduate in the United Kingdom and United States, optimum improvement suggestions were made. Based on the research result, the priority to improve and consolidate from undergraduate curriculum was the strengthening of the working-level education, the most needed ability in the future is global negotiation and dispute/conflict adjustment which needs supplementation. Also, after analyzing the undergraduate curriculum of the United States and United Kingdom, it is needed that the development of the capacity to lead organizations for healthcare and subjects for the establishment of health policy should be reflected.

홀어머니와 큰아들의 갈등에 대한 가족치료 사례연구 (A case study of family therapy about conflict between mother and the eldest son)

  • 본 연구는 홀어머니와 성인인 큰아들의 갈등에 대한 가족치료사례로써, 가족관계에서 발생하는 의사소통의 어려움과 자아분화의 문제에 대한 가족치료적 개입방법과 효과성을 제시하고자 한다. 홀어머니와 큰아들의 갈등에 대하여 부인(며느리)이 상담을 의뢰하여 시작되었고, 13회기동안 개인 및 가족상담으로 진행되었다. 본 연구는 상담 축어록과 치료자가 기록한 메모를 중심으로 한 내용을 부호화(coding)작업을 통하여 개념과 하위범주, 그리고 상위범주로 나누었다. 또한 코딩작업을 통하여 발견한 범주들을 Miles와 Huberman(1994)이 제시한 관계망(network)와 매트릭스(matrix)를 활용하여 관계를 나타내었다. 본 연구의 분석 결과에 따르면 아버지가 사망하자 어머니는 큰아들이 가족을 부양해주기를 원하였지만, 큰아들은 어머니의 기대와 달리 결혼을 하여 분가하였다. 이 과정에서 서로의 감춰진 불만이 드러나고 모자갈등이 표면화되었다. 이런 갈등의 저변에는 가족의 경계선문제, 미분화된 자아, 역기능적 의사소통방식, 어머니의 원가족 경험 등이 영향을 미치고 있었다. 치료자는 모자갈등의 악순환고리를 끊기 위하여 치료적 동맹관계를 형성하였고, 의사소통방식의 지도, 반복되는 패턴의 조명, 재명명, 비유법을 활용하였다. 결과적으로 어머니와 큰아들은 자아분화, 기능적 의사소통의 활성화, 인식의 변화, 경계선의 변화를 경험하였고, 모자갈등의 소거와 더불어 가족관계가 향상되었다. 본 연구는 책임감과 기대감으로 인해서 발생하는 홀어머니와 큰아들의 갈등에 대한 가족치료가 효과적이라는 점과 유효한 개입방법들을 보여준다.

삽입/삭제 편집연산 기반의 XML 문서 병합 (Merging XML Documents Based on Insertion/Deletion Edit Operations)

  • 오피스 및 과학 분야의 문서 작업 등에서 XML의 사용이 보편화되고 협업이 요구됨에 따라 효과적인 XML 문서 병합 방법이 필요하다. 이에 대한 해결 방안으로 본 논문에서는 동일 원본 문서에 대한 다수 사용자의 편집 작업들의 병합을 위한 이론적 틀을 제시한다. 문서들의 병합시 문서 자체를 병합하는 기존의 방법들과는 달리, 사용자의 편집 작업을 원본 문서에 적용되는 일련의 편집 연산들, 즉 편집 스크립트로 표현하고 다수 사용자의 편집 스크립트들을 병합하고 원본 문서에 적용하여 문서의 병합 효과를 이루고자 한다. 이를 위해 삽입과 삭제연산으로 구성된 편집스크립트를 전제로 정적 편집 스크립트, 편집 스크립트의 간섭 및 충돌 등의 개념들을 정의하고 편집 스크립트들의 충돌 조건과 병합시 편집 스크립트 조정기법을 제안한다. 이 방법은 분산 환경에서 네트워크 부하를 줄이며 각 편집 작업의 의미가 보존되어 버전관리에 효과적이다.

Work life balance practices and the link to innovation and productivity: A comprehensive literature review

  • Purpose - This paper is to review recent literature, by conducting a thorough investigation of the limitations and implications for future research on work-life balance with the focus and linkages between work-life balance practices, machine learning and emotional intelligence, work-life conflict, the correlations between work-life enrichment and work-life balance practices, the relationships between employee job satisfaction and work-life balance, the links between work-life balance and the managerial support. Research design, data, and methodology - The paper will further detail linkages between work-life balance and organizational performance outcomes productivity and innovation. Previous literatures have paid attentions to the link of HR practices and organizational outcomes such as productivity, flexibility, and financial performance, but the understanding needs to be extended to involve innovation performance. Dealing with employees' emotions using different machine learning techniques is one of the phenomenal researches in today's world. Here, we examine how far the employees are conscious of their own self and found the ideas and views of an individual about themselves and others. Without proper knowledge about their personality it will be very difficult for an individual to manage their own emotions. This study also aims at finding out the individual abilities to manage their emotions in order to perform well. Conclusions - A theoretical conceptual framework has been built by integrating the existing literature to explain a number of factors which are closely associated with work-life balance. The conceptual model illustrates how the work-life balance interplays with performance and interrelates with the aforementioned factors.

간호사의 인간관계 경험에 관한 연구 (Clinical Nurses′ lived Experience of Interpersonal Relations in the Ward Setting of the hospital)

  • The purpose of the study was to describe the essential structure of the lived experience of clinical nurses' interpersonal relations among nurses, patients, and others in the ward setting of the hospital. Method: Six nurses who have experienced from 4 to 7 years on the same ward setting, were interviewed. The data were collected from September, 2000 to May, 2001 and analyzed using Colaizzi's (1978) method of phenomenology. Result: In this study, 7 themes were extracted: difficulty of interpersonal relations after being familiar with work, developing good relations with doctors, patients, and their significant others as experience increased, generation gap among individual nurses, evaluating other nursing colleagues on their past experience in ward settings, avoiding nurses with whom one was in conflict, sometimes, resolving conflict through getting together with colleagues informally, having a limited interpersonal network, experiencing becoming mature through struggling with the difficulty of interpersonal relations. Conclusion: Nurse managers need to provide resources, opportunities, and information to clinical nurses through fully understanding the characteristics of nurses' interpersonal relations. In addition, they should minimize the factors which intervene with good interpersonal relations among clinical nurses.

Positive Guidance 기법을 응용한 실시간 교통안전 경고정보 제공방안 (A Methodology for Providing More Reliable Traffic Safety Warning Information based on Positive Guidance Techniques)

  • 최근 각종 센서 및 통신기술의 발달은 과거에 비해 보다 미시적이고 폭넓은 교통자료의 수집과 운전자의 주행편의를 위한 다양한 방식의 정보제공을 실시간 환경에서 가능하도록 하였다. 본 연구에서는 Positive Guidance 기법을 응용하여 이와 같은 실시간 환경에서 적용 가능한 실시간 교통상충 분석 기반의 경고정보 제공 방안을 제안하고자 한다. 제안하는 시스템은 영상 이미지 추적 기법으로 개별차량의 주행패턴을 분석하여 인접 차량간 상충을 분석하고, ARIMA 모형을 이용하여 상충분석결과를 바탕으로 영상검지영역의 위험도를 예측한다. 위험도 예측을 통해 생성된 경고정보는 Positive Guidance 기법을 적용하여 영상검지영역 상류부에서 접근 중인 운전자에게 제공된다. 본 연구의 성과물은 향후 보다 교통사고 예방을 위한 보다 진보된 교통정보시스템의 개발 시 유용하게 활용될 것으로 기대된다.

2인 조정게임의 베이지안 의사결정모형 (On the Bayesian Fecision Making Model of 2-Person Coordination Game)

  • Most of the conflict problems between 2 persons can be represented as a bi-matrix game, because player's utilities, in general, are non-zero sum and change according to the progress of game. In the bi-matrix game the equilibrium point set which satisfies the Pareto optimality can be a good bargaining or coordination solution. Under the condition of incomplete information about the risk attitudes of the players, the bargaining or coordination solution depends on additional elements, namely, the players' methods of making inferences when they reach a node in the extensive form of the game that is off the equilibrium path. So the investigation about the players' inference type and its effects on the solution is essential. In addition to that, the effect of an individual's aversion to risk on various solutions in conflict problems, as expressed in his (her) utility function, must be considered. Those kinds of incomplete information make decision maker Bayesian, since it is often impossible to get correct information for building a decision making model. In Baysian point of view, this paper represents an analytic frame for guessing and learning opponent's attitude to risk for getting better reward. As an example for that analytic frame. 2 persons'bi-matrix game is considered. This example explains that a bi-matrix game can be transformed into a kind of matrix game through the players' implicitly cooperative attitude and the need of arbitration.

초등학교 교과전담교사 배정 현상에 대한 경험 탐색 (The Experience Study on Patterns Phenomenology in the Allocation of Subject-specialized Teachers at Elementary Schools)

  • The purpose of the study is to examine various conditions, which are recognized by teachers in the allocation of subject-specialized teachers at elementary schools, into five types of conflicts, in order to offer implications for the operation and allocation of the subject exclusive system henceforth. The study, therefore, categorized the actual allocation process experienced by subject-specialized teachers at elementary schools into five aspects the first is, understanding of students, the second, the ability to teach exclusive subjects, the third, a relationship with students, the fourth, workplace environment at schools, and the fifth, the continuity of subject specialist teachers. Conditions demonstrated in each category are classified into the types that occurred by individual and mutual roles demonstrated through in-depth, where keywords are selected by aspects to suggest conflict conditions. In order to operate the subject exclusive system more efficiently and to boost the effects of positive education, the workplace environment at schools need to be improved urgently, including a variety of training, program development, and financial support. The most vital requirement is to prepare groundwork through mutual understanding and collection of extensive opinions from field teachers based on a consensus that a school is an educational community. The study anticipates that the result could provide a foundation for the preparation of qualitative improvement and development measures for the subject exclusive system at elementary schools.

여성 가족부양자의 건강상태 및 가족부양의 부정적.긍정적인 영향 (Health Status of Women Caregivers and Negative and Positive Impacts of Family Caregiving)

  • The purpose of this study was to examine the health status of the daughter and daughter- in-law caregivers who care for a cognitively and/or functionally impaired elderly, individual to identify factors that were related to reported health outcomes, and to investigate the negative and positive impacts of family caregiving. Data was collected from 120 daughter and daughter-in-law caregivers and care-recipients using face to face interviews. Most caregivers were daughters- in-law (77.5%) and most care-recipients were female (88.3%). Sixty-eight percent (n=81) of caregivers reported depressive symptomatology. General health also deteriorated by caregiving. Caregivers reported several negative impacts (difficulties): care-recipients' problematic behaviors, deterioration of their own health, pressure from social norms related to family caregiving in Korea, intrafamily conflict, and economic problems. Contrary to the popular belief, caregivers reported diverse positive impacts of family caregiving (68.3%): a sense of filial responsibilities, recognition from elderly, family members, relatives, and society, education for the children, and familial harmony. Higher depression score was predicted by lower family income, the presence of cognitive impairment of care-recipients, and higher level of social conflict of caregivers. Poor general health of caregivers was predicted by older caregivers' age, lower competing roles of caregivers, and poor emotional health. While not seeking to deny the negative aspects of family caregiving, it is also necessary to understand positive aspects of family caregiving to see complete picture of caring for an elderly family member.

사회문제 측면에서 본 노인문제의 해결방안에 관한 연구 (A Study on the Solutions of the Elderly Problems in Terms of Social Issuest)

  • 본 연구는 노인문제에 대하여 이를 노인 개인이나 가족의 문제로 국한하지 않고 사회 전체의 문제로 파악하는 최근의 연구에 부응하여 노인문제를 사회문제의 측면에서 해결방안을 찾고자 하는 연구이다. 본 연구방법은 이론과 현장에 나타난 논쟁점을 중심으로 노인문제의 실태를 분석하였다. 먼저 노인문제에 관한 이론적 논거로 구조기능주의((structural functionalism), 갈등주의 이론(conflict theory), 상징적 상호작용주의(symbolic interaction theory) 등의 시각에서 노인문제를 파악하고자 하였다. 노인문제의 논쟁점으로는 노인 가구의 증가, 노인의 이혼 증가 및 재혼 감소, 노동시장에서의 배제, 그리고 정치적 참여와 자원봉사의 딜레마 등을 선정하여 이에 대한 현황과 그 문제점을 연구하였다. 연구 결과, 사회문제의 측면에서 노인문제를 해결방안으로 첫째, 노인에 대한 인식전환이 필요하다. 둘째, 노인에 대한 부정적 인식 제거해야 한다. 셋째, 국가와 민간의 상호보완관계 정립해야 한다. 결론적으로 사회문제의 측면에서 노인문제를 해결하기 위해서는 노인문제를 대상 노인 개인이나 가족의 문제로 국한시킬 것이 아니라 이를 사회문제로 공론화하여 사회 전체가 선제적으로 대응해야 할 것이다.
