지리적 표시 단체표장은 WTO/TRIPs 협정체결을 통하여 비로소 범국가적으로 보호되기 시작한 신지식재산권이다. 지리적 표시라 함은 상품의 특정 품질 및 명성 또는 그 밖의 특성이 본질적으로 특정지역에서 비롯된 경우 그 지역에서 생산 및 제조 또는 가공된 상품임을 나타내는 표시를 말한다. 본 연구는 지리적 표시 단체표장과 관련된 연구를 중심으로 문헌분석을 수행하기 위해 2000년부터 2016년까지 우리나라 학술지에 게재된 연구를 대상으로 하였다. 국내 학술논문을 수집하기 위해 사회과학 논문 데이터베이스인 RISS와 DBpia 및 KISS에서 "지리적 표시 단체표장"의 주제어를 이용하여 검색하였다. 검색을 통해 총 24편의 논문을 수집하였다. 문헌분석을 통해 나타난 지리적 표시 표장제도에 대한 문제점과 시사점 그리고 이론적 학술적 의의를 제시하고자 한다.

본 논문에서는 신경회로망을 이용한 RSSI(Received Signal Strength Indication) 기반 위치인식 시스템을 제안하였다. 위치를 지정한 다수의 고정노드를 구성하고, 이동노드로부터 수신되는 RSSI를 측정한다. LVQ(Learning Vector Quantization) 네트워크의 학습을 위해 정해진 위치 정보를 목표값으로 하여 고정노드에서 측정된 RSSI를 입력으로 사용하여 학습을 진행한다. 실내에 고정노드를 배치하고, 실험을 통해서 삼각측량법과 위치 추적 성능을 검토하였다.

A geographical indication (GI) is a sign used on products that have a specific geographical origin and possess qualities or a reputation that are due to that origin. This paper explores ways to protect Korean goods as GIs in the U.S. and EU by examining the efforts of the Colombian Coffee Federation (FNC) to protect Colombian coffee. The FNC enhanced the global awareness of Colombian coffee and increased the profits of Colombian coffee producers by registering Colombian coffee as a certification mark in the U.S. and as a GI under the EU's quality schemes. The Korean government protects kimchi under its own GI system. For kimchi products to earn the label "Korean kimchi," the three main ingredients must be produced in Korea. This has been a challenge for kimchi producers, who often rely on imported ingredients. Korea could learn from FNC's strategies to improve the current GI system for kimchi.

The purpose of this study was to examine the consumer's quality evaluation on the apparel of adult males and females. A demonstrative study was conducted using a questionnaire on adults over 20 years old who were considered to afford to purchase clothes. A total of 380 questionnaires were used for the demonstrative analysis. The study used SPSSWIN V.8.0 for the analysis. Frequency analysis, ANOVA, t-test, multiple regression analysis, and duncan test are executed. The study result is as follows: First, 19 attributes of customer quality perception are grouped into 2 categories of satisfier, dissatisfier factor by the role of each attribute. Second, significant differences are found partly in quality indications- including fabric compositions, sizes, fabric care, manufactured-place, and the place of origin, the importance degree of indication and general satisfaction in quality indicating system.

Patients with terminal cancer experience very severe symptoms during the end of life, and palliative sedation (PS) may be considered if those symptoms are refractory to any other treatment. This brief report presents ethical considerations, practices, and recent concerns on PS. PS is quite different from euthanasia. There is a lack of consensus and standards on protocols, but its notable effects have been reported in hospice care settings. Most studies to date have reported no difference in survival between patients receiving PS and those not, and PS must be conducted proportionally with the lightest level of sedation. The most common indication for PS is delirium, and midazolam is the main sedative used. It is recommended that information regarding PS should be provided to patients and their caregivers repeatedly as early as possible. Existential suffering alone is not an indication for PS, and there is a lack of evidence on bispectral analysis. Additional research on PS is needed in Korea.

Till now, two distinct epithelial lesions, dysplasia and adenoma, are currently recognized as premalignant stages of gallbladder (GB) carcinogenesis. In these two carcinogenesis pathways, GB stones and polyps are regarded as one of the most important risk factors of GB carcinoma respectively. Although there still remain controversies for the indication of prophylactic cholecystectomy for GB stones and polyps due to lack of high-level evidence, the present review demonstrated that patients who have GB stones with more than 3 cm size, chronic typhoid carriers, porcelain GB, or anomalous pancreaticobiliary ductal union and patients with more than 1 cm sized GB polyp would be recommended prophylactic cholecystectomy.
