레벨 프리페칭 기법을 이용한 향상된 주기억장치 상주형 색인구조 (IpCSB+ - tree : An Enhanced Main Memory Index Structure Employing the Level Prefetching Technique)

  • 주기억장치 상주형 색인구조에서는 2차 캐쉬 실패가 성능에 매우 큰 영향을 미친다. 기존에 제안된 주기억장치 상주형 색인구조들은 2차 캐쉬 실패를 고려하긴 했지만 여전히 트리의 각 레벨을 접근할 때는 2차 캐쉬 실패가 발생한다. 본 논문에서는 이러한 문제점을 인식하고 트리 순회 시 각 레벨을 방문할 때도 캐쉬 실패가 발생하지 않는 주기억장치 색인구조를 제안한다. 제안하는 색인구조인 IpCSB+-트리는 다음 레벨에서 방문할 가능성이 있는 노드들을 프리페치하여 다음 레벨을 방문할 때도 캐쉬 실패가 발생하지 않도록 한다. 또한, 기본적인 구조는 노드그룹 개념을 이용하여 노드의 팬-아웃을 증가시키는 CSB+-트리에 기반하지만 CSB+-트리의 단점인 분한 비용의 증가문제를 해결하기 위한 방법을 제안한다. 성능평가를 통해 기존의 색인구조와 비교하여 제안하는 색인구조의 우수성을 보인다.

  • This paper investigates the relation between the Process capability index(PCI) and the quality assurance level under various conditions. The effect of the off-targetness of the process mean, deviation from the nomality, the estimation error, and tile measurement error on the quality assurance level is evaluated. Various distributions such as the Student-t, the chi-square, the gamma, the Weibull, and the log-normal distributions are considered to evaluate the deviation from the nomality. The quality levels under abnormal conditions turn out to be severely different from that under the standard condition. We provide tables and graphs of the quality assurance level on various abnormal conditions. In order for the industry users to use the PCI properly, they should refer to the tables and graphs, especially when they are not certain about the standard assumptions on which the PCI depends.

  • This paper attempts to evaluate the impact of power plant penetration on constraints of a transmission network and proposes a methodology based on risk level, which can evaluate the condition of the network and facilities intuitionally. Furthermore, based on this methodology, RLII(Risk Level Improvement Index) is proposed in order to establish comprehensive TNEP(Transmission Network Expansion Planning) from a viewpoint of ISO(Independent System Operator). In order to verify the proposed methods in this paper, real power systems in Incheon and Shiheung areas, south Korea are applied to the case study.

곡물 교역시장의 불완전 경쟁상태의 정태적 수준 및 동태적 변화에 대한 분석 (An Analysis on Static Level and Dynamic Trend of Imperfect Competitiveness in Grain Trade Market)

  • 본 연구는 최근 들어 시장의 불완전 경쟁 구조에 따른 시장 불안정 상태에 대한 우려가 가장 크게 제기되었던 시장인 곡물 교역시장에서의 연도별 불완전 경쟁의 수준과 함께 그 동태적 변화추이를 분석하였다. 기존의 시장구조 접근법에서 많이 사용되어왔던 상위 k개 국가 중심의 집중률 (Concentration Ratio: CRk)지수의 곡물 교역시장 분석상의 한계점을 명시하고, 이에 대한 대안으로 로렌츠 곡선 개념을 도입함으로써 전체 국가들의 분포적 특징을 분석하였다. 이를 바탕으로 지니 불균등 지수 (Gini Inequality Index)와 엣킨슨 불균등 지수 (Atkinson Inequality Index)를 활용한 통계적 분석을 수행하였다. 실증적 분석결과, 연도별 수출과 수입간 불균등도 차이는 분석기간 내내 통계적으로 유의수준의 양의 추정치를 나타내었다. 또한 2002-14년 기간 동안 이러한 불완전한 경쟁 상태는 2001년에 비해서 전반적으로 심화되었다. 수출 집중도가 일반적인 인식과 달리 소폭이나마 하향세를 나타내고 있음에도 불구하고 곡물 교역시장의 불완전 경쟁상태가 심화되고 있는 것은 수입의 국가별 분포가 수출의 경우 보다 현저하게 균등화되고 있기 때문으로 보인다.

건설산업의 공정성 평가지수 개발 (Development of Fairness Evaluation Index for the Construction Industry)

  • 본 연구에서는 공정거래에 관련된 법·제도와 건설산업에서 발생하는 불공정거래의 사례를 분석하여, 건설산업의 공정성 평가요인을 건설산업의 주요 참여자별(원도급자와 하도급자)와 건설공사의 주요단계별(입찰·계약·시공단계)로 분류하여 도출하였다. 그 후, 종합 및 전문건설사업자 238명을 대상으로 설문조사를 수행하여, 그 평가요인의 중요도를 분석하고 공정성 지수를 개발하였다. 원도급자보다 하도급자가 건설산업의 공정성 수준을 낮게 인식하고 있었으며, 원도급자와 하도급자 모두 시공과정에서의 공정성이 가장 낮게 인식하는 것으로 분석되었다. 원도급자는 입찰단계와 계약단계, 하도급자는 계약단계의 공정성 수준을 가장 높게 인식하고 있었다. 제안된 건설산업의 공정성 지수를 사용한다면, 건설공사 참여자별 및 공사단계별로 공정성 향상이 필요한 요인을 도출할 수 있으며, 이를 기반으로 공정성 향상방안의 수립에 기여할 수 있을 것이다.

청소년의 신체활동 및 운동 실태와 관련 요인 (The State and Factors Associated with the Level of Physical Activity and Exercise in Adolescents)

  • Purpose: The purpose of this study was to investigate the state and factors associated with level of physical activity and exercise in adolescents. Method: The subjects in this study included 528 adolescents registered at two junior high schools and two senior high schools in J City. The data were collected between October 20 and 30, 2006. Result: The study results showed that 23.8% of the adolescents engaged in vigorous activities for at least 20 minutes, three times a week, while 3.8% of the adolescents participated in moderate activities for at least 30 minutes, five times a week. The subjective level of health was determined to be $3.51\pm.91$ points on a 5-point scale. The level of stress was $2.58\pm.83$ points on a 4-point scale. The obesity index was $4.26\pm20.84$ points. Significant correlations were found between the subjective level of health and level of stress (r=-.201, p=.000), the subjective level of health and the obesity index (r=-.135, p=.004), and between the level of stress and the obesity index (r=.107, p=.024). Conclusion: These results showed that developing a health promotion program that includes an exercise program specific to gender and level of education, individualized strategies of stress control and optimal weight control is required.

노인 기분장애 영향요인에 관한 실증적 연구: 지역사회 특성의 영향을 중심으로 (An Empirical Study on Factor Associated with Mood Disorders in Elderly: Focusing on the Influence of Community Characteristics)

  • Background: The mental problems of the elderly are at issue as a serious social phenomenon. The purpose of this study is to identify risk factors affecting the mood disorders of the elderly. Methods: The subjects were 1,779,236 aged ${\geq}65$ and participated in health screening. Dependent variable was mood disorders. Independent variables were consisted of community level (regional deprivation index and healthcare resources) and individual level (sex, age, insurance type, disability, smoking, alcohol, physical activity, body mass index, and healthcare utilization). Multilevel logistic regression was performed. Results: At the individual level, women, employed insured, severely disabled people, heavy alcohol drinkers, high-intensity physical activity, body mass index, and patients who had chronic disease and severe disease were significantly associated with mood disorders. As the age has increased, it has let increase of mood disorders. At the community level, as the regional deprivation index has increased by 1, mood disorders has been increased by 1.005 times. The intra-class coefficient was 7.04%. Conclusion: We found individual and community level factors are associated with mood disorders. Systematic approach is essential to reduce mood disorders.

Issues and Misconceptions of Financial Inclusion Indices: Evidences from Selected Asian Economies

  • This study aims to revisit the issues and misconceptions about financial inclusion (FI) indices. For indices construction, this study uses two approaches: one approach following the methodology of Sarma (2008) which is based on UNDP methodology, while the other is the Dynamic Factor Model (DFM)-based index of Stock and Watson (2002) and Rehman et al. (2021). The data of 18 economies of Asia from 1997 till 2017 is used for indices construction and analysis. The authors constructed macro and micro-level financial inclusion indices based on the different types of financial inclusion indicators. Second, the authors have critically evaluated two different approaches, and the results show that Sarma (2008)-based index show financial inclusion's level, while DFM-based index reveal fluctuation in the current year's financial inclusion level due to the prior variations. For measuring the level of financial inclusion, the Sarma (2008) index is effective, while for forecasting the level of financial inclusion, the DFM approach is more appropriate. Furthermore, the micro and macro aspects of financial inclusion should be reflected in separate indices for better understanding and in-depth insights.

서울시 소재 일부 치과기공소의 개업연한, 규모, 임금제도 및 임금수준과 생산성과의 관계 (The Associations between the Term of Establishment, the Scale, the Payment System and the Salary, and Productivity of Dental Laboratories in Seoul)

  • This study was aimed for evaluating the validity of relative-productivity index on the basis of working hour(RPHW index) designed by author as new productivity index and drawing up a plan of bettering productivity to cope with financial difficulty of dental laboratories. Fortyeight dental laboratories extracted by cluster-sampling method form all the dental laboratories in Seoul were subjected for this study. And in each of them, the term of establishment which was divied into three group as short-term, mid-term and long-term group, the scale of dental laboratory which as divided into two group by number of dental technician as small-scale group and large-scale group, the salary system which was composed of salary criteria, pay according to ablility criteria and collectiveagree, the salary level, simple labor productivity index(SLP index), relative-productivity index on the basis of worker number(ROWN) and relative-productivity index on the basis of working hour(RPWH index) were surveyed through the self-administractive questionaires. The results as follows : Most of dental laboratories(93.6%) were managed by non-professional managers. The establishment rate per year of dental laboratory was the increase. The mean number of employees of dental laboratories was $7.00{\pm}3.90$ person. The ratio of smallscale group(under the 5 employees) was 42.6% and as the term of establishment was shorter, the ratio of small-scale group was higher. The mean establishment area of dental laboratories was $24.49{\pm}10.97$ unit and the mean establishment area per head of dental laboratories was $4.05{\pm}3.90$ unit. The estabilshment area and area per head were not significantly associted with the term of establishment, but as the term of establishment was shorter, the estabkishment area per head was slightly wider. The establishment area per head in small-scale group was significantly wider than large-scale group(over the 6 emplayees) The salary criteria(54.4%), pay according to ability(79.2)m ability criteria(77.1%) and collectiveagree(79.2%) as salary systems were used in the most of all dnetal laboratoies. The all salary systems were not significantly associated with the term of establishment and the scale of dental laboratories. The monthly mean salary level of dental laboratoies was $125.64{\pm}31.06$ milion won. The monthly salary level was not significantly associated with the term of establishment and the scale of dental laboratores. But the monthly salary level in the short-term group and the small-scale group were slightly lower than others. The SLP index, the RPWN index and the RPWH index of dental laboratories were $132.16{\pm}48.41$, $382.41{\pm}128.76$ and $76.06{\pm}25.11$, respectively. The SLP, the RPWN and the RPWH of dental laboratories were not significantly associated with the term SLP, the RPWN and the RPWH of dental laboratories were significantly associated with the area of dental laboratory and the salary level. Except for only the association salary criteria among salary system with RPWH of dental laboratories, all other salary system were not associated with the SLP, the RPWN and the RPWH of dental laboratories.
