The influences of various parameters such as inclusions, surface roughness, exposed areas and chloride ion concentrations on the initiation of pitting of Fe-17Cr alloy were investigated, using micro-droplet cell technique. Micro-droplet cell allows one to align the micro-electrode to the desired spot of the working electrode and measure directly local currents with the potentiodynamic polarization. Micro electrochemical tests were carried out at the inclusions after EDX analysis of inclusion. EDX analysis identified inclusions as Cr-oxides. It was found that some active inclusions among Cr-oxide inclusions acted as initiation sites for pitting corrosion. In addition, the rougher surface and the denser chloride ion concentration offered easier pit initiation sites, causing the more susceptible to pitting corrosion.

목적 : 본 연구의 목적은 학령전기 아동의 감각처리 능력을 측정하기 위해 사용되고 있는 평가도구의 종류를 알아보고 심리측정학적 특성을 평가하는 것이다. 연구방법 : 감각처리 평가도구는 PubMed, Cochrane, CINAHL, PsycINFO와 같은 전자 데이터베이스를 사용하여 논문을 검색한 뒤, 초록과 원문 검토를 통해 포함기준에 적합한 평가도구를 최종적으로 선택하였다. 결과 : 총 38개의 논문이 최종적으로 분석되었으며, 8개의 평가도구가 확인되었다. 가장 많은 신뢰도와 타당도가 검증된 도구는 Sensory Processing Measure-Preschool(SPM-P)이었으며 신뢰도와 타당도 검증이 부족한 도구로 는 Sensory Experiences Questionnaire(SEQ), Sense & Self-Regulation Checklist(SSRC), 그리고 Sensory Processing Scale Assessment(SPSA)가 있었다. 결론 : 본 연구결과는 임상가와 연구자들이 학령전기 아동에게 적합한 감각처리 평가도구를 선정할 때 근거자료가 될 것이다.

A measurement of conduction veloctiy of the action potentials along the muscle fibres has been applied to various diagnosis. When we measure muscle fiber conduction velocity, it occurs that not only change of conduction velocity but alos inclusion of mipulse component by physiological and experimental reason. So, robuster time delay estimation algorithm than general methods[1] is needed to find correct time delay form these signals. In this paper we, propose new time delay estimation algorithms, robust in impulsive noise, by using characteristic of .alpha.-stable distribution whcih defines impulsive noise well. Then we apply proposed algorthms to measure muscle fiber conduction velocity and compare them with other studies.

Suppose that $\mu$ is a finite positive Borel measure on bounded symmetric domain $\Omega{\subset}\mathbb{C}^n\;and\;\nu$ is the Euclidean volume measure such that $\nu(\Omega)=1$. Suppose 1 < p < $\infty$ and r > 0. In this paper, we will show that the norms $sup\{\int_\Omega{\mid}k_z(w)\mid^2d\mu(w)\;:\;z\in\Omega\}$, $sup\{\int_\Omega{\mid}h(w)\mid^pd\mu(w)/\int_\Omega{\mid}h(w)^pd\nu(w)\;:\;h{\in}L_a^p(\Omega,d\nu),\;h\neq0\}$ and $$sup\{\frac{\mu(E(z,r))}{\nu(E(z,r))}\;:\;z\in\Omega\}$$ are are all equivalent. We will also show that the inclusion mapping $ip\;:\;L_a^p(\Omega,d\nu){\rightarrow}L^p(\Omega,d\mu)$ is compact if and only if lim $w\rightarrow\partial\Omega\frac{\mu(E(w,r))}{\nu(E(w,r))}=0$.

The reason for crashworthy landing gear is to contribute to the overall aircraft design goals in the event of a crash. One of crashworthy landing gear design approaches is inclusion of structural fuse. Structural fuse is used to control the mode of failure of landing gear. If structural fuse doesn't work at desired condition, other unexpected accidents can occur. In this paper, failure probability is calculated for landing gear structural fuse and improvement measure is introduced to improve failure probability of structural fuse.

In this article we introduce tribonacci sequence spaces c0(T) and c(T) derived by the domain of a newly defined regular tribonacci matrix T. We give some topological properties, inclusion relations, obtain the Schauder basis and determine ��-, ��- and ��- duals of the spaces c0(T) and c(T). We characterize certain matrix classes (c0(T), Y) and (c(T), Y), where Y is any of the spaces c0, c or ℓ∞. Finally, using Hausdorff measure of non-compactness we characterize certain class of compact operators on the space c0(T).

Fall detection and prevention technologies play a pivotal role in ensuring the well-being of individuals, particularly those living independently, where falls can result in severe consequences. This paper addresses the challenge of accurate and quick fall detection by proposing a Bayesian probability-based measure applied to surface electromyography (sEMG) signals. The proposed algorithm based on a Bayesian filter that divides the sEMG signal into transient and steady states. The ratio of posterior probabilities, considering the inclusion or exclusion of the transient state, serves as a scale to gauge the dominance of the transient state in the current signal. Experimental results demonstrate that this approach enhances the accuracy and expedites the detection time compared to existing methods. The study suggests broader applications beyond fall detection, anticipating future research in diverse human-robot interface benefiting from the proposed methodology.

Background: Breast cancer is one of the most common cancers in women in the world. Health-related quality of life (HRQL) at treatment endpoint in cancer clinical trials is widely considered to be increasingly important. The aim of this review was to provide a literature-based assessment of the validity, reliability and responsiveness of breast cancer-specific HRQL instruments in women breast cancer patients. Materials and Methods: The databases consulted were Medline, PubMed, and Embase. The inclusion criteria required studies to: (1) involve use of HRQL measures; (2) cover women with breast cancer under standard treatment (surgery, radiation therapy, chemotherapy, hormone therapy, and targeted therapy); (3) involve the validity, reliability, or responsiveness of HRQL; (4) deal with validation of breast cancer-specific HRQL instruments. Results: A total of 16 studies were identified through the literature search that met the 4 inclusion criteria. Some seven instruments were assessed among these 16 studies: EORTC QLQ-BR23, FACT-B, FACT-ES, HFRDIS, LSQ-32, QLICP-BR, and SLDS-BC. EORTC QLQ-BR23, FACT-B, LSQ-32, QLICP-BR, and SLDS-BC are more general breast cancer-specific HRQL instruments. FACT-EB is the endocrine subscale combined with FACT-B in order to measure the side effects and putative benefits of hormonal treatment administered in breast cancer patients. HFRDIS is the HRQL measure focusing on hot flash concerns. Conclusions: This paper provides an overall understanding on the currently available breast cancer-specific HRQL instruments in women breast cancer patients.

Carbon-fiber which has very small radial dimension makes us difficult to measure it's properties. So in this paper, we suggest a simple method to measure the thermal conductivity of a carbon-fiber's and carbon-fiber-reinforced-plastics(CFRP) laminates. The thermal conductivity of CFRP laminates was measured experimentally at the same time analytically. The experimental model is based on the one-dimensional analysis of fin sample because CFRP laminates has a thin geometric configuration. The analytical model to measure the thermal conductivity of carbon-fiber is expressed by use of mean-field model which is based on Eshelby's elliptical inclusion problem. Therefore the thermal conductivity of angle-ply laminates can be computed by use of effective longitudinal and transverse thermal conductivities of unidirectional composite of the constituents.

퍼지집합이론과 수학적 형태학간의 유사도를 기반으로 Grabish는 수게노(Sugeno)퍼지적분을 이용한 퍼지 수학적 형태학을 제안하였다. 본 논문에서는 퍼지적분에 해당하는 퍼지측도의 비퍼지화를 통한 퍼지 수학적 형태학을 제안하였다. 각각의 부분집합에 대한 각각의 퍼지측도의 포함정도를 측정하는 퍼지집합에 대하여 비퍼지화 과정을 적용한다. 또한 모든 부분집합에 대하여 $\lambda$-퍼지 측도를 정의하여 이에 대한 마스크내의 영상에 대한 비퍼지화를 수행하여 퍼지적분의 결과로 대치하였다. 결국 퍼지 측도를 기반으로 하여 융기와 침식에 대한 퍼지 형태학적 연산자를 정의한다. 이러한 연산자들을 이용하여 2차원의 물체에 대한 골격화에 적용하여 보았다. 임펄스 잡음을 가지는 나선형 영상과 퍼즐영상에 대하여 위의 방법을 적용한 결과 기존의 방법보다 대부분의 경우에 우수함을 확인할 수 있었다.
