This paper studies on Sun interference effects or Sun outage effects on C-band satellite reception signal for THAICOM2. The THAICOM2 satellite is at 78.5 degree East 〔co-located with THAICOM3〕. The down link station was located in Khon-kaen, longitude 102.83 degree East and latitude 16.43 degree North. The antenna diameter is 4.6 meters for C-band downlink station. Total 9 times of sun interference events were occurred during summer and fall of 2001 and these about 53 minutes altogether. The Maximum CM degradation of the THAICOM2 system was around 11 dB. The Sun interference events of 53 minutes of one year are 0.0122 percents of the C-band contact time when 21 hours of contact time is used f3r broadcasting a day.
In this paper, UWB system did research about effect that interference effect with neighborhood single equipment or nearby group equipment gets In DMB service. 2.6425GHz satellite digital multimedia broadcasting service(SDMB) that electric wave interference special quality is contiguity frequency-band including interference of signal by unnecessary radiation level that is radiated in UWB system, and 3.4125GHz broadcasting relay net that is In-band frequency-band and interference effect degree that get in service did comparative analysis. SDMB system was BER $1{\times}10^{-4}$ that interference effect happens from 6.5m point and broadcasting signal reception is possible at 4m point. Also, it was BER $1{\times}10^{-4}$ that interference effect begins to happen from 5.0m point about center frequency 3.4126GHz and broadcasting signal reception is possible at 2m point. And, confirmed that UWB system of impulse method is less interference effect about 2 dB than UWB system of OFDM method, to electric wave of UWB system that is small output

In this paper, a shared band transmission, in which downlink signals from satellite to both earth station and user terminal are transmitted in the same frequency band, is considered. For proper operation of such shared band transmission, self-interference caused by the transmitted signal from its own transmitter should be cancelled and the desired signal from the other transmitter should be obtained. The self-interference is sent by its own transmitter and it can be easily regenerated with the estimated round-trip delay. In addition to this delay, non-linearity effects caused by power amplifiers at the earth station and satellite should be exploited. The proposed interference canceller divided into two parts: one is subtraction of the transmitted signal with delay and non-linearity effects, and the other is adoptive filter to suppressed the residual interference. Through computer simulations, the effectiveness of the proposed system is verified.
With advance in technologies for wireless sensor networks(WSNs), 2.4 GHz band has become gradually attractive due to increase in low-power wireless communication devices. Especially ZigBee(IEEE 802.15.4-based) technology whose frequency band includes the 2.4GHz industrial, scientific and medical band providing nearly worldwide availability has been universally applicable to a various remote monitoring system and applications related home network system. However network throughput of these systems is significantly deteriorated due to this ISM band is a license-exemption used in a variety of low-power wireless communication devices. For instance, other IEEE 802 wireless standards such as Bluetooth, WLAN, Wi-Fi and others cause radio interference to ZigBee. The experiments was carried out to analyze radio frequency interference between heterogeneous devices using ISM bands to improve the limited frequency utility factor. Finally this paper suggests a frequency hopping-based adaptive multi-channel methods to decrease interference with empirical results.

This paper describes the RF(Radio Frequency) interference on the GNSS receiver due to the S-band signals transmitted from the transmitters in the Test Launch Vehicle, and analyzes the cause of the RF interference. Due to the S-band signals that have relatively high power levels compared with GNSS signals, an LNA(Low Noise Amplifier) in the active GNSS antenna was saturated, and the intermodulation signal within GNSS in-bands was produced in the LNA whenever two S-band signals were received from the GNSS antenna. For these reasons, the C/N0 of the satellite signals in the GNSS receiver was attenuated severely. The design of the LNA was changed in order to protect the RF interference due to the S-band signals and the suppression capability of the RF interference was confirmed in the new LNA through the comparison of the old LNA.

DS/CDMA system rejected narrow-band interference and additional White Gaussian noise which are occured at multipath, intentional jammer and multiuser to share same bandwidth in mobile communication systems. Because of having not sufficiently obtained processing gain which is related to system performance, they were not effectively suppressed. In this paper, an matched filter channel model using backpropagation neural network based on complex multilayer perceptron is presented for suppressing interference of narrow-band of direct sequence spread spectrum receiver in DS/CDMA mobile communication systems. Recursive least square backpropagation algorithm with backpropagation error is used for fast convergence and better performance in matched filter receiver scheme. According to signal noise ratio and transmission power ratio, computer simulation results show that bit error ratio of matched filter using backpropagation neural network improved than that of RAKE receiver of direct sequence spread spectrum considering of con-channel and narrow-band interference.

In this paper, we propose a new single carrier - frequency domain equalization (SC-FDE) structure to cope with narrow band interference. In the conventional SC-FDE structure, when a high-power narrow band interference exists, channel estimation and data recovery is difficult. To relieve from this problem, this paper proposes a new SC-FDE frame structure to enable frequency-domain channel estimation in the environments that exist narrow band interference. Specifically, in the conventional method, the channel estimation is performed in time-domain first and from that, the frequency-domain channel is obtained by Fourier transform. In contrast, we proposed a new SC-FDE structure to enable frequency-domain channel estimation directly from received signals without time-domain channel estimation. The receiver performance improvement is verified through computer simulation. According to the results, the proposed technique can detect the signal with less than 2 dB loss compared with jammer-free environments, while the conventional method does not communicate with each other.
In this paper, we apply a discrete wavelet packet transform (DWPT) to reduce the influence of interference in global positioning system (GPS) signals and compare the interference mitigation performance of various wavelets. By applying DWPT to the received signal, we can gradually divide the received signal band into low-pass and high-pass bands. After calculating the average power for the separate bands, we can determine whether there is interference by comparing the value with the given threshold. For a band that includes interference, we can reconstruct the whole band signal using inverse DWPT (IDWPT) after applying a nulling method that sets all of the wavelet coefficients to 0. The reconstructed signals are correlated with the pseudorandom noise (PRN) codes to acquire GPS signals. The performance evaluation is based on the number of satellite signals whose peak ratio (defined as the ratio of the first and second correlation peak values in the acquisition stage) exceeds the threshold. In this paper, we compare and evaluate the performance of 6 wavelets including Haar, Daubechies, Symlets, Coiflets, Biorthogonal Splines, and Discrete Meyer.
The available underwater acoustic spectrum is limited. Therefore, it is imperative to avoid frequency interference from overlapping frequencies of underwater acoustic equipment (UAE) for the co-existence of the UAE. Cognitive technology that senses idle spectrum and actively avoids frequency interference is an efficient method to facilitate the collision-free operation of multiple UAE with overlapping frequencies. Cognitive technology is adopted to identify the frequency usage of UAE to apply cognitive technology. To this end, we investigated two principle underwater acoustic sources: UAE and marine animals. The UAE is classified into five types: underwater acoustic modem, acoustic positioning system, multi-beam echo-sounder, side-scan sonar, and sub-bottom profiler. We analyzed the parameters of the frequency band, directivity, range, and depth, which play a critical role in the design of underwater acoustic cognitive technology. Moreover, the frequency band of several marine species was also examined. The mid-frequency band from 10 - 40 kHz was found to be the busiest. Lastly, this study provides useful insights into the design of underwater acoustic cognitive technologies, where it is essential to avoid interference among the UAE in this mid-frequency band.
