  • In this paper, we propose the assistance method to enable safe driving through analysis of dangerous driving behavior using real-time alarm by vehicle speed, azimuth data and smartphone. For this method, smartphone is receiving driving data from digital tachograph using communication. Safe driving habit is a very important issue to commercial vehicle because that driver's long time driving than other vehicle type driver. Existing methods are very inefficient to improve immediately dangerous driving habits during driving because proceed driving behavior analysis after the vehicle operation. We propose the new safe driving assistance method that can prevent traffic accidents by real-time and improve the driver's wrong driving habits through real-time dangerous driving behavior analysis and notification the result to the driver. We have confirmed that the method in this paper will help to improve driving habits and can be applied through the proposed method implementation and simulation experiment.

  • Recent advances in computer technology have brought more dependence on software to railway signaling systems. Hence, the safety assurance of the vital software running on the railway signaling system is very critical task and yet, not many works have been done. While much efforts have been reported to improve electronic hardware's safety, not so much systematic approaches to evaluate software's safety. In this paper, we suggested an automated analysis tool for S/W change impact in railway signaling system, and presented its result of implementation. The analysis items in the implemented tool had referred to the international standards in relation to the software for railway signaling system, such as IEC 61508 and IEC 62279. In these international standards, 'change impact analysis' for railway signaling system S/W has to be required mandatorily. The proposed tool can be utilized at the assessment stage and also the software development stage.

  • Tight integration between design and analysis process and data representation in the ship design application domain has been studied in this paper. Multi-Representation Architecture proposed at Georgia Institute of Technology has been carefully investigated for the application in the initial ship design stage. The prototype implementation shows that the application of MRA in the structural ship design domain is quite possible and can be extended for other design and analysis views in ship design.

  • The purpose of this study is to establish a conceptual model of the course evaluations. in University. This paper has examined the course evaluations according to the levels, purposes, objects, and methods of them. And this paper has been classified for a conceptual model of the course evaluation. As the result of this analysis, four dimensions of course evaluation have been found. First, formative and summative evaluation have been found. The purposes of formative evaluation were improving quality of courses and collecting information for improvement of curriculum. The purposes of summative evaluation were offering informations on faculty staffing and improving of learning outcomes. Second, the levels of course evaluation were classified into university-level, professor-level, and student-level. Third, the objects of course evaluation were classified into analysis, design, development, implementation, and evaluation. Forth, the methods of course evaluation were classified into questionnaire, observation, interview, and content analysis. As a result of this analysis, 120 types of course evaluations have been found.

  • In this paper, We used the microphone unlike existing urodynamic inspection which diagnoses the LUTS(lower urinary tract symptoms) and proposed sound measurement the method which the urination happens and apply at a blockade diagnosis. To analyze the blockade degree, We made the experiment set to modeling the Lower Urinry System of the human body and made the microphone of the stethoscope form for the measurement of the urinary sound which the urination happens. We used PC for the analysis of the urinary sound to be measured and implemented the analysis program to use the MATLAB. Hereafter, An analysis result usage, The Practical use will be possible as one of new inspection methods's.

  • The deteriorated apartments make a social problem in now a days. After all, a new alternative plan for deteriorated apartments such as the remodelling concept must be considered. This study aims to survey the perception levels among residents in deteriorated apartments relating to remodelling. It might be provide the basic data which could be used for the analysis of consumers in the future implementation of deteriorated remodelling projects. The analytical methods adopted in this study were factor analysis, 1-test, one-way ANOVA, post-hoc estimation(Scheffe test) by the SPSS 10.1 for Windows program. Through the factor analysis for the perception types regarding remodelling, the factors were named ‘function improvement orientation’ , ‘property value orientation’, ‘individual-household improvement orientation’, and ‘negative attitude to remodelling’. The analysis of the perception types regarding remodelling, by the family characteristics, socio-economic characteristics, residence characteristics, apartment block variables, resident's value orientation, and resident's satisfaction level, indicated that the perception degree of the ‘property value orientation’was the highest, followed by the ‘function improvement orientation’.

  • As a result of the rapid economic growth and birth control policy, China is experiencing low fertility rates and increasing life expectancy, which makes Chinese population aging very quickly and unprepared for their retired life. The reverse mortgage may be an attractive option for the elderly because it is a loan against a house that they do not have to pay back as long as they live there. In this paper, in order to introduce the reverse mortgage scheme in China the factors that could influence the demand of reverse mortgage are reviewed and the Chinese market environment is analyzed. Then the principal component analysis is performed in order to recommend the regions or cities that have higher potential for successful implementation of a reverse mortgage than any other ones in China.

  • This paper proposes a hybrid single carrier sinusoidal modulation suitable for multiphase multilevel inverters. Multiphase multilevel inverters are controlled by hybrid modulation to provide multiphase variable voltage and a variable frequency supply. The proposed modulation combines the benefits of fundamental frequency modulation and single carrier sinusoidal modulation (SC-SPWM) strategies. The main characteristics of hybrid modulation are a reduction in switching losses and improved harmonic performance. The proposed algorithm can be applied to cascaded multilevel inverter topologies. It has low computational complexity and it is suitable for hardware implementations. SC-SPWM and its base modulation design are implemented on a TMS320F2407 digital signal processor (DSP). A Complex Programmable Logic Device realizes the hybrid PWM algorithm and it is integrated with a DSP processor for hybrid SC-SPWM generation. The feasibility of this hybrid modulation is verified by spectral analysis, power loss analysis, simulation and experimental results.

  • Rail Route Alignment in hilly terrain is a difficult task to implement as several natural constraints poses threat to the safety and stability of the alignment. The conventional methods followed to find out the final location survey or the feasibility analysis for alignment is time taking consuming. Some times, due to inaccessibility of the terrain it becomes impossible to carry out such works. The construction works in hilly terrain, which are associated with the proposed alignment, are not same as carried out in plane areas due to a vast contrast between the two areas. Different geological structures such as faults, thrusts, synclines and anticlines are a big problem to carry out normal construction practices. Thus for a safe and stable railway route in the unstable hilly areas, it is required to carry out the feasibility analysis of the proposed alignment to assist the policy makers for a successful implementation of the alignment. In the present work Remote Sensing and GIS has been successfully used to carry out geological feasibility and slope stability analysis for rail route alignment work.

  • The emergence of new technologies and their implementation by different manufacturers of electronic devices are experiencing an ascending trend. Most of the time, these protocols are expected to reach a certain degree of maturity, and electronic equipment manufacturers use simplified communication standards and interfaces that have already reached maturity in terms of their development such as ModBUS, KNX or CAN. This paper proposes an IoT solution of the Smart Home type based on an Analysis and Prediction System. A data acquisition component was implemented and there was defined an algorithm for the analysis and prediction of actions based on the values collected from the data update component and the data logger records.
