LNG is a representative imported cargo at Incheon Port and has a relatively high contribution to the increase/decrease in overall cargo volume at Incheon Port. In addition, in the view point of nationwide, LNG is the one of the most important key resource to supply the gas and generate electricity. Thus, it is very essential to identify the factors that have impact on the demand fluctuation and build the appropriate forecasting model, which present the basic information to make balance between supply and demand of LNG and establish the plan for power generation. In this study, different to previous research based on macroscopic annual data, the weekly demand of LNG is converted from the cargo volume unloaded by LNG carriers. We have identified the periodicity and correlations among internal and external factors of demand variability. We have identified the input factors for predicting the LNG demand such as seasonality of weekly cargo volume, the peak power demand, and the reserved capacity of power supply. In addition, in order to predict LNG demand, considering the characteristics of the data, time series prediction with weekly LNG cargo volume as a dependent variable and prediction through an artificial neural network model were made, the suitability of the predictions was verified, and the optimal model was established through error comparison between performance and estimates.
Background/Aims: The anastomotic site after distal gastrectomy is the area most affected by duodenogastric reflux. Different reconstruction methods may affect the lesion characteristics and treatment outcomes of remnant gastric cancers at the anastomotic site. We retrospectively investigated the clinicopathologic and endoscopic submucosal dissection outcomes of remnant gastric cancers at the anastomotic site. Methods: We recruited 34 consecutive patients who underwent endoscopic submucosal dissection for remnant gastric cancer at the anastomotic site after distal gastrectomy. Clinicopathology and treatment outcomes were compared between the Billroth II and nonBillroth II groups. Results: The tumor size in the Billroth II group was significantly larger than that in the non-Billroth II group (22 vs. 19 mm; p=0.048). More severe gastritis was detected endoscopically in the Billroth II group (2 vs. 1.33; p=0.0075). Moreover, operation time was longer (238 vs. 121 min; p=0.004) and the frequency of bleeding episodes was higher (7.5 vs. 3.1; p=0.014) in the Billroth II group. Conclusions: Compared to remnant gastric cancers in non-Billroth II patients, those in the Billroth II group had larger lesions with a background of severe remnant gastritis. Endoscopic submucosal dissection for remnant gastric cancers in Billroth II patients involved longer operative times and more frequent bleeding episodes than that in patients without Billroth II.

This study aims to explore the utilization of kiosks, a case of self-service technology in library services, by applying task-technology fit theory to reveal the factors that affect the satisfaction and continued use of library kiosk services and to conduct a review of library non-face-to-face services. We organized the kiosk characteristic factors through a literature review and established a research model mediated by related theories. We collected 229 valid questionnaire data from users with experience using library kiosks and analyzed them using SPSS 26.0 and SmartPLS 4.0 programs. The analysis results confirmed that the fit of library services and self-service technology was significantly influenced by the usefulness and enjoyment of kiosk technology characteristics and the kiosk-friendly environment of the usage environment attributes. In addition, we found the fit between library services and self-service technology to significantly affect library kiosk usage satisfaction and intention to continue using the kiosk, so this study proposed a plan for library kiosk services utilizing the significant factors. In addition, to effectively use the kiosks as a non-face-to-face library service, we suggest operating them in line to provide library information materials, install them in various locations within the library to increase accessibility, and provide education on how to use them for learning and to raise positive awareness of the kiosks for the digitally disadvantaged.
This study attempted to explore the impact of sense of humor and stress coping styles among nursing students on adaptation to clinical practice. The study included 180 nursing students as participants, and data collection was conducted using self-administered questionnaires from April 15 to 26, 2024. The collected data underwent t-test, one-way ANOVA, Pearson's correlation coefficients, and multiple regression analysis. The research findings revealed that the sense of humor scored 3.52, stress coping styles scored 3.40, and adaptation to clinical practice scored 3.46. Adaptation to clinical practice according to general characteristics showed statistically significant differences based on major satisfaction (F=29.80, p<.001), clinical practice satisfaction (F=40.46, p<.001), relationships with peers in clinical practice (F=5.05, p<.001), and personality (t=-3.41, p<.05). Adaptation to clinical practice showed statistically significant positive correlations with sense of humor (r=.31, p<.001) and stress coping styles (r=.43, p<.001). The factors influencing adaptation to clinical practice were clinical practice satisfaction(β=.34, p<.001), stress coping styles (β=.29, p<.001), and major satisfaction (β=.23, p<.05), explaining 42% of the total variance.

Background and Objectives: Lipid lowering therapy is essential to reduce the risk of major cardiovascular events; however, limited evidence exists regarding the use of statin with ezetimibe as primary prevention strategy for middle-aged adults. We aimed to investigate the impact of single pill combination therapy on clinical outcomes in relatively healthy middle-aged patients when compared with statin monotherapy. Methods: Using the Korean National Health Insurance Service database, a propensity score match analysis was performed for baseline characteristics of 92,156 patients categorized into combination therapy (n=46,078) and statin monotherapy (n=46,078) groups. Primary outcome was composite outcomes, including death, coronary artery disease, and ischemic stroke. And secondary outcome was all-cause death. The mean follow-up duration was 2.9±0.3 years. Results: The 3-year composite outcomes of all-cause death, coronary artery disease, and ischemic stroke demonstrated no significant difference between the 2 groups (10.3% vs. 10.1%; hazard ratio [HR], 1.022; 95% confidence interval [CI], 0.980-1.064; p=0.309). Meanwhile, the 3-year all-cause death rate was lower in the combination therapy group than in the statin monotherapy group (0.2% vs. 0.4%; p<0.001), with a significant HR of 0.595 (95% CI, 0.460-0.769; p<0.001). Single pill combination therapy exhibited consistently lower mortality rates across various subgroups. Conclusions: Compared to the statin monotherapy, the combination therapy for primary prevention showed no difference in composite outcomes but may reduce mortality risk in relatively healthy middle-aged patients. However, since the study was observational, further randomized clinical trials are needed to confirm these findings.
Background: In order to evaluate the national effort to improve air quality through the Act on Air Quality Management Regions, an investigation of the current status of air quality in respective regions and the health impact of air pollution should be undertaken. Objectives: This study is a preliminary study on the status of PM2.5 in the central region of South Korea and its health effects. It can be applied to the evaluation of the effectiveness of the Act on Air Quality Management Regions. Methods: Time series variation of PM2.5 concentrations in the air quality management region (hereafter referred to as AQMR) and in the non-AQMR area in the central region of South Korea were created. Odds ratios (OR) were calculated based on the survey results of whether the residents of Jeollabuk-do were feeling anxiety caused by air pollution by sex, region, and regional characteristics. Relative risk (RR) values of lung cancer deaths in each city in the AQMR for the central region of South Korea were calculated. Results: During the period from Dec. 2018 to Dec. 2021, the average concentration of PM2.5 was higher in the AQMR at 26.0 ㎍/m3 compared to 19.5 ㎍/m3 in the non-AQMR. The odds ratio (OR) calculated using data from the Jeonbuk Research Institute (2020) suggested that women were more uncomfortable or anxious about their lives due to air pollutants than were men. The OR evaluation results also showed that in terms of PM2.5 sensitivity, residents in the non-AQMR were relatively more sensitive than those in the AQMR. The relative risk (RR) was calculated to evaluate the relationship between health hazards (PM2.5) and diseases (lung cancer). As a result, for super-aged people over 80 years old, compared to the non-AQMR (Muju-gun and Jangsu-gun), the residents in the AQMR (Jeonju, Gunsan, and Iksan) have about twice the relative risk of lung cancer. Conclusions: It is necessary to make efforts to improve residents' health and extend their healthy lives through efforts to reduce air pollutants such as PM2.5 in areas specially selected as an AQMR.

Background: Torsion of the right middle lobe following right upper lobectomy is a rare but potentially fatal complication. To prevent this, fixation of the right middle lobe has been suggested. This study was performed to examine the impact of right middle lobe fixation on postoperative outcomes and bronchial changes. Methods: We enrolled patients who underwent curative-intent video-assisted thoracic surgery (VATS) right upper lobectomy for lung cancer from 2019 to 2022. Participants were grouped based on whether they did or did not receive right middle lobe fixation. Bronchial angles were measured using preoperative and postoperative chest computed tomography images, and postoperative outcomes and bronchial changes were compared between the 2 groups. Results: The study included a total of 50 patients, with 17 (34%) undergoing right middle lobe fixation. All procedures were performed using VATS. No significant differences between groups were observed in preoperative characteristics or postoperative outcomes. After surgery, both groups exhibited a significant increase in the right bronchus intermedius angle and a significant decrease in the branch angle. The postoperative right bronchus intermedius angle was significantly larger in the group without right middle lobe fixation compared to the group with fixation (47.38°±10.98° vs. 39.41°±9.21°, p=0.014). Three cases of atelectasis occurred in the group that did not undergo fixation while no cases were observed in the fixation group; however, this difference was not statistically significant. Conclusion: Fixation of the right middle lobe reduced postoperative angulation of the right bronchus intermedius, which may help prevent postoperative atelectasis.

As autonomous vehicles are allowed to drive on public roads, there is an increasing amount of on-road data available for research. It has therefore become possible to analyze impacts of autonomous vehicles on traffic safety using real-world data. It is necessary to use indicators that are well-representative of the driving behavior of autonomous vehicles to understand the implications of them on traffic safety. This study aims to derive indicators that effectively reflect the driving stability of autonomous vehicles by analyzing the driving behavior using the Waymo Open Dataset. Principal component analysis was adopted to derive indicators with high explanatory capability for the dataset. Driving stability indicators were separated into longitudinal and lateral ones. The road segments on the dataset were divided into four based on the characteristics of each, which were signalized and unsignalized intersections, tangent road section, and curved road section. The longitudinal driving stability was 35.48% higher in the curved road sections compared to the unsignalized intersections. With regard to the lateral driving stability, the driving stability was 76.08% higher in the signalized intersections than in the unsignalized intersections. The comparison between curved and tangent road segments showed that tangent roads are 146.87% higher regarding lateral driving stability. The results of this study are valuable for the further research to analyze the impact of autonomous vehicles on traffic safety using real-world data.

The purpose of this study is to analyze whether startup CEOs' self-efficacy and hope have a mediating effect on the relationship between satisfaction with an acceleration program and business performance. While the impact of acceleration programs on business performance has been validated through various studies, this research aims to examine whether differences in business performance, despite participating in the same program, are attributable to the characteristics of the participants. To this end, satisfaction with the acceleration program was set as the independent variable, business performance (financial performance and non-financial performance) as the dependent variable, and self-efficacy and hope among positive psychological capital as the mediating variables. A survey was conducted on startup CEOs who participated in acceleration programs offered by financial public institutions, specifically the Korea Credit Guarantee Fund and the Industrial Bank of Korea, in order to minimize the influence of differences in accelerator competence and program quality. The empirical analysis results indicate that satisfaction with the acceleration program has a positive effect on both the financial and non-financial performance of startups, and hope serves as a mediating factor in this relationship. This study suggests that to improve business performance of startups, policy efforts are needed to activate and enhance the roles of domestic accelerators. Additionally, it proposes that in order to maximize the effectiveness of acceleration programs, detailed components of these programs should be designed to elevate the participants' level of hope.

Through the pandemic, the topography of dining culture is rapidly changing due to the advancement of the food delivery market. Competition in the domestic market is intensifying as Coupang Eats recently surpassed Yogiyo and jumped to second place, and Baedal Minjok(Baemin), the industry's No. 1 company, is also preparing to introduce a subscription system. While the growth of the delivery market is slowing, the use of takeout and pick-up services is increasing due to rising delivery costs and food prices. From Generation Z's perspective, the main factors influencing the active use of app services were identified through prior research as usability and convenience, cost sensitivity, and hedonic motivation. While, they are leading the trend of minimizing spending through 'stepping stone consumption' and delivery pot process instead of choosing a subscription system. Accordingly, we aim to provide customers with a better experience and help strengthen competitiveness by proposing ways to improve and revitalize new delivery apps that reflect the characteristics of Gen.Z. As a result of the expert Delphi survey, we will receive impact evaluation scores in the following order: direct view of accumulated discounts, addition of family benefits, coupon reinforcement, SNS promotion, pick-up walk, in-store promotion, and discount rate display, and review their application to practice. It presents academic and policy implications regarding the food tech market.
