정지영상 데이터베이스의 효율적 인식자 생성 (Efficient Generation of Image Identifiers for Image Database)

  • The image identification methodology associates an image with a unique identifiable representation. Whenever the methodology regenerates an identifier for the same image, moreover, the newly created identifier needs to be consistent in terms of representation value. In this paper, we discuss a methodology for image identifier generation utilizing luminance correlation. We furthermore propose a method for performance enhancement of the image identifier generation. We also demonstrate the experimental evaluations for uniqueness and similarity analysis and performance improvement that have shown favorable results.

  • As personal or compact devices with image acquisition functionality are becoming easily available for common users, the voluminous images that need to be managed by image related services or systems demand efficient and effective methods in the perspective of image identification. The objective of image identification is to associate an image with a unique identifier. Moreover, whenever an image identifier needs to be regenerated, the newly generated identifier should be consistent. In this paper, we propose three image identifier generation methods utilizing image features: linear component, luminance area, and combination of both features. The linear component based method exploits the information of distribution of partial lines over an image, while the luminance area based method utilizes the partition of an image into a number of small areas according to the same luminance degree. The third method is proposed in order to take advantage of both former methods. In this paper, we also demonstrate the experimental evaluations for uniqueness and similarity analysis that have shown favorable results.

  • As the price of image acquisition component becomes low enough, the compact and easily accessible handheld devices are generally equipped with image acquisition functionality. This trend speeds up various applications in diverse areas such as image related services and software. Therefore users strongly need to identify their images effectively and efficiently so that the duplicated images are perceived as one physical entity. In order to handle this environment, we propose a number of methods that generate image identifiers utilizing fundamental image features. In this paper, we analyze the identifier generation methods in terms of various size patterns, especially for tiny size cases, since the small images does not contain abundant pixels for feature extraction. In this paper, experimental evaluation over identifier generation methods' behavior according to different sizes is demonstrated.

  • 본 논문에서는 항만에서 취급하는 컨테이너의 식별자를 인식하는 방법을 제안한다. 실제 컨테이너 영상을 그레이 영상으로 변환한 후, 프리윗 마스크(Prewitt mask)를 적용하여 윤곽선을 검출하고 컨테이너를 식별할 수 있는 개별 식별자의 형태학적 특징 정보를 이용하여 식별자 후보 영역을 추출한다. 검출된 식별자 후보 영역은 개별 식별자 영역외에 잡음 영역이 포함되어 있으므로 4방향 윤곽선 추적 알고리즘과 Grassfire 알고리즘을 적용하여 잡음을 제거하고 개별 식별자들을 각각 객체화한다. 잡음이 제거된 식별자 후보 영역에서 객체화 한 개별식자는 컨테이너 식별을 위해 FCM 기반 퍼지 RBF 네트워크를 적용하여 인식한다. 본 논문에서 제안한 컨테이너 식별자 인식 방법의 성능을 평가하기 위해 실제 컨테이너 영상 300장을 대상으로 실험한 결과, 기존의 방법보다 인식 성능이 개선되었음을 확인할 수 있었다.

영상처리에 기반한 게이트 운영시스템 개발 (Development of Gate Operation System Based on Image Processing)

  • The automated gate operating system is developed in this paper that controls the information of container at gate in the ACT. This system can be divided into three parts and consists of container identifier recognition car plate recognition container deformation perception. We linked each system and organized efficient gate operating system. To recognize container identifier the preprocess using LSPRD(Line Scan Proper Region Detection)is performed and the identifier is recognized by using neural network MBP When car plate is recognized only car image is extracted by using color information of car and hough transform. In the port of container deformation perception firstly background is removed by using moving window. Secondly edge is detected from the image removed characters on the surface of container deformation perception firstly background is removed by using moving window. Secondly edge is detected from the image removed characters on the surface of container. Thirdly edge is fitted into line segment so that container deformation is perceived. As a results of the experiment with this algorithm superior rate of identifier recognition is shown and the car plate recognition system and container deformation perception that are applied in real-time are developed.

  • 현대의 대량화된 영상 관리 시스템은 영상의 특징을 표현하는 영상식별자에 대해 왜곡에 강인하며 빠른 검색 속도, 정확성 및 효율적인 저장 등의 기본 성능을 요구한다. 영상식별자 설계 방법은 기하학적 왜곡에 강인한 지역 방식과 빠른 검색 및 적은 저장 용량의 속성을 지닌 전역방식으로 구분 할 수 있다. 본 논문에서는 왜곡에 강하고 지역적 공간적 제약으로 인한 서로간의 차별성이 강화된 지역 기술자들로부터 각각 개개 차원의 특징 분포도를 분석하여, 두 영상간의 유사도를 빠르고 정확하게 측정할 수 있는 지역 기술자 및 전역 기술자의 속성을 가지고 있는 LFH(Local Feature's Histogram)기반 영상식별자를 제안한다. 또한 GPU를 사용하여 LFH를 구현하는 방법을 제시하며, 제안한 LFH와 대표적인 지역, 전역 방식인 SIFT 및 EHD 방식과 저장용량, 추출 시간, 검색 속도 및 정확률에 대한 성능을 비교하였다.

  • 본 논문에서는 컨테이너 식별자 영상 인식 시스템의 전처리 과정에 다중 임계 영역을 사용하는 방안을 제안한다. 컨테이너 영상의 특징을 이용해서, 설정된 여러 개의 후보 임계 영역들을 사용해서 영상을 각각 이진화하고, 각각의 이진 영상에 대해서 라벨링, 패널링 등을 함께 진행하면서 최종적으로 최적의 문자 영역을 추출한다. 또한 유사한 방법을 적용해서 잡음을 제거하고 개별 문자를 분리한다. 영상 162장을 사용한 실험에서 문자 영역 분리와 개별 문자 분리의 성공률이 각각 99.04%와 98.09%가 되었다.

For the efficient and automated management of container in terminal, the automated container identifier recognition system in terminal is a significant problem. However, the identifier recognition rate is decreased owing to the difficulty of image preprocessing caused the refraction of container surface, the change of weather and the damaged identifier characters. Therefore, this paper proposes more accurate system for container identifier recognition as suggestion of Line-Scan Proper Region Detect for stronger preprocessing against external noisy element and Moment Back-Propagation Neural Network to recognize identifier.

  • As the compact and easily accessible handheld devices, such as cellular phones and MP3 players equipped with image acquisition functionality, are becoming widely available among common users, various applications of images are rapidly increasing. Image related services and software such as web-based image presentation and image manipulation for personal or commercial purpose enable users to view contents of remote image archive and to manipulate enormous amount of images in local or network based storage as well. It is necessary for users to identify the images efficiently so that the same images are perceived as one physical entity instead of recognizing them as different images as the trends are getting stronger. In order to support this environment, we propose a method that generates image identifiers or indexing for images within a solid and efficient manner. The proposed image identifier utilizes multiple index values. The integration of component index values creates a unique composite value that can be used as a file name, file system identifier, or database index. Our experimental results on generation of constituent index values have shown favorable results.
