  • Information technology (IT) revolution rapidly advanced from the end of the 20th century has caused an extreme change in the publication market, which brought fierce struggle for existence. In this whirlpool, magazine, which is settling as a part of culture and as a center field of publication, presswork, is concentrating in making new determined position with comparatively liberal theme. So identity study that enables readers to remember a magazine more easily, will suggest a new direction of improvement as a culture business by inducing the brand-making of a magazine. This study is focused on the ability of configuration of its unique image of a magazine building an identity in the magazine design field. Each type of magazine has common characteristics but even though it is grouped into same type, it shows mobility on the relative importance of application according to the strategy of the magazine rather than matching perfectly to the type. The result is limited to the range of professional design magazine. However, through result-pursuing study procedure, it is anticipated of its gui dance of improvement of magazine design at large as well as professional design magazine by inquiring of consequence and utility of Magazine Identity in the digital age and clarifying the role of magazine design.

  • Nowadays, technological differences between companies have decreased and products launched show more resemblance to each other. As an alternative plan companies started developing brands. The excellence in quality of a product from a company could be easily copied, but the formless value, brand, cannot be imitated easily. More importantly, in the globally competing generation the brand provides distinctiveness and gives a solution to the relationship between consumers. Also the design image takes a big part in a company's competitiveness. The design image that represents the company reflects the brand, and it reflects the image and the philosophy of the company. And the images of each product influence the brand. Also an effective delivery of a product image would give a synergistic effect on the brand. A company could build this design identity to elevate the brand. Therefore, the identity of design image reflects the brand. Therefore a study on the area of the absence and misled identity of design image is important. This study is fixed on the idea of, development of brand to increase competitiveness, and the affiliation of design image with the identity of the brand. This study, on the basis of preceding research and theoretical background, aims to find the design identity area focusing on the product design image of the product purchased by the consumer. Firstly, we need to examine the affinity of the product image from the consumer, and analyse the direction of images to offer a solution that could advance the design identity strategy.

The Effect of Family Restaurant Brand Identity on the Purchase Intention of Consumer (패밀리 레스토랑 브랜드 아이덴티티가 소비자의 구매의도에 미치는 영향)

  • As multinational brands have made inroads into domestic food service industry, and its recognition has been high to consumers, This research has tried to examine the general identity of brand, their recognition, and re-purchase behaviors. The purpose of this study is to inquire into how the brand value by brand identity was caused by recent development of food service industry, and how it had an effect on the purchase behaviors of them. In particular, factors of general identity have a significant effect on the revisit and purchase intention, as the image and ads of family restaurant among brand property factors of family restaurant showed an significant effect on the revisit intention. This study was made with priority given to the brand identity as four brand factors such as product brand, organizational brand, community brand and design brand based on the confidence. Results found that the community brand and design brand had a significant difference on purchase intention. Consequently, it has been suggested that the marketing strategies to make the brand identity strong have to be established with various brand enhancement tactics in the food service industry.
