A Study on Introduction of Hybrid Radio (하이브리드라디오 도입방안 연구)

  • 본 논문에서는 미국, 영국과 국내의 라디오방송 관련 현황들을 보고, 국내 라디오방송이 미국, 영국 대비 청취율이 1/3 로 낮지만 스마트폰을 이용한 라디오청취율이 증대되고 있으며, 하이브리드라디오 도입이 될 것이므로, 라디오 방송 청취율이 더욱 증가할 것으로 전망하였다. 아울러 이동통신망이 불능화되는 대형재난상황을 대비하고 라디오 청취율을 증대시키기 위해 추진되는 하이브리드라디오의 도입에 있어 고려되어야 요구사항들과 서비스 방안들을 제시하였다. 본고의 내용은 하이브리드라디오도입을 위한 정책과 서비스 기획 및 시스템 설계에 참고가 가능할 것으로 기대된다.

  • 본 논문에서는 블록간, 블록 내수, 수평. 수직 방향성, 그리고 시간 영역의 정보를 이용하는 압축 동영상의 블록화 및 링 현상을 제거하는 방식을 제안한다. 위의 정보를 이용하여 새로운 부가 함수가 정의되며, 최적 해를 구하기 위해 gradient와 projection을 결합시킨 hybrid 형태의 기법을 이용한다. 또한, 정규화 계수들 및 projection을 위한 영역의 설정을 부호화단에서는 이용 가능한 정보로부터 추출하게 되므로 계산량을 감소시킬 수 있다. 실험 결과로부터 제안된 방식의 효율성을 확인할 수 있다.

  • 본 논문에서는 HEVC 국제표준으로 압축된 비디오에서 움직임 물체를 추적하는 방법을 제안한다. 제안하는 방법은 HEVC 비트스트림의 대부분을 차지하는 인터 프레임의 움직임 벡터 정보를 입력 데이터로 사용하는 ST-MRF(Spatio-Temporal-Markov Random Field) 모델을 기반으로 하며, ST-MRF 모델에서 발생할 수 있는 오차전파로 점진적으로 객체를 부정확하게 추적하는 것을 HEVC GOP(Group of Picture)마다 삽입되는 인트라 프레임만을 복호화 하여 픽셀 정보를 입력으로 하는 YOLO 모델과 융합시켜 보정함으로써 추적하던 객체를 잃지 않고 강건하게 추적하는 방법을 제안한다.

  • 최근 시맨틱 웹은 Linked Open Data (LOD)의 사용으로 웹 분야에서 주목을 받고 있다. 이에 LOD 등을 중심으로 검색 고도화 연구가 활발히 수행되고 있다. 그러나 LOD 클라우드를 이용한 효율적인 검색 방법이나 활용 방안을 위한 깊이 있는 연구는 상대적으로 매우 부족한 상황이다. 따라서 본 논문에서는 LOD 클라우드를 효율적으로 구성하기 위한 인덱스 구조를 제안하고자 HYBRID R*-tree 인덱스 구조와 단일 인덱스 구조의 성능을 비교하여 평가한다.

MMT-based Broadcasting Services Combined with MPEG-DASH (MPEG-DASH 융합형 MMT 기반 방송 서비스)

  • In this paper, we propose new broadcasting services that combine MMT (MPEG Media Transport) standard with MPEG-DASH (Dynamic Adaptive Streaming over HTTP) standard. MMT is a next-generation multimedia transport standard that is IP-friendly and provides functionalities appropriate for hybrid broadcasting that uses broadcast physical channels and the Internet simultaneously. MPEG-DASH enables media streaming services that can be dynamically adaptive both to the network traffic conditions of wired and/or wireless Internet and the receiving entity environment. We explain the scenarios of the proposed broadcasting services and demonstrate that various hybrid broadcasting services can be easily realized through the combined usage of MMT and MPEG-DASH. By making the test bitstreams containing contents for the new services and developing the receiver back-end software that performs the function of the receiving entity for the new services on personal computers, we verified that the proposed scenarios can be realized.

Hybrid Camera System with a TOF and DSLR Cameras (TOF 깊이 카메라와 DSLR을 이용한 복합형 카메라 시스템 구성 방법)

  • This paper presents a method for a hybrid (color and depth) camera system construction using a photogrammetric technology. A TOF depth camera is efficient since it measures range information of objects in real-time. However, there are some problems of the TOF depth camera such as low resolution and noise due to surface conditions. Therefore, it is essential to not only correct depth noise and distortion but also construct the hybrid camera system providing a high resolution texture map for generating a 3D model using the depth camera. We estimated geometry of the hybrid camera using a traditional relative orientation algorithm and performed texture mapping using backward mapping based on a condition of collinearity. Other algorithm was compared to evaluate performance about the accuracy of a model and texture mapping. The result showed that the proposed method produced the higher model accuracy.

Study of a LED Driver for Extension of Color Gamut (색 영역의 확장을 위한 LED 구동회로에 대한 연구)

  • This paper proposes a hybrid LED driving circuit and its control method for extension of the color gamut of LED. The proposed hybrid LED driving circuit provides the constant current by switching regulation in the high current and by linear regulation in the low current through LED. Furthermore, the magnitudes of the high current and low current were controlled by CC(Continuous Current) control method and PWM(Pulse Width Modulation) control method, respectively. We experimentally confirmed that the current through RGB LED is linearly controlled to 2% maximum current ratio by varying PWM in the proposed driving circuit and control method. As a result of the measurement of the output light color in CIE1976 chromaticity coordinates, we confirmed that the color, which not be expressed by the existing method, uniformly expressed. We confirmed that the color, which can not be expressed by the existing method, was uniformly output and verified that the color gamut was expanded by the low current controlled by the proposed driving circuit and control method.

  • This letter presents a hybrid conditional access system (CAS) for advanced terrestrial digital multimedia broadcasting (AT-DMB). The proposed architecture is characterized by its use of a unified CAS channel and various communication networks for CAS message transmissions. We implement a prototype CAS based on the hybrid architecture, which improves the CAS message transmission efficiency greatly compared to the existing T-DMB CAS standard and supports various AT-DMB interlayer services more easily and efficiently.

  • This paper discuss a performance evaluation of the synchronization algorithm for hybrid networks in industrial environments. The proposed algorithms minimizes synchronization errors which were caused from channel, Propagation, and frequency delays. The modified RBS and offset synchronization methods can be operated by adjustment parameters. The differential BP (Back-off Period) adjustment can synchronize the local time of each node with master node's time in hybrid networks. For the performance analysis, the data transmission time between the wired and wireless devices are investigated. The experimental results show the performance evaluations in terms of the polling service time and an average end-to-end delay.

  • Recently n Korea, the House of Commons and terrestrial broadcasting facilities integrated with FM radio and the satellite compulsory was amended to transfer MATV(Master Antenna Television) adjusted by SMATV(Satellite Master Antenna Television). While the SMATV was accepted by default in most other countries, our county did not accept it as the default for broadcast. Because domestic cable and satellite television service providers are conflicts with their interest. bAs a result, the hybrid amplifier for SMATV technology development and volume production for the state is insufficient. Therefore, terrestrial television broadcast bands (54 ~ 806Mhz) and FM radio broadcast band (88 ~ 108Mhz) band satellite with (950 ~ 2150Mhz) to amplify the development of a broadband amplifier with subsequent resolution of problems is also presented in this study.
