인문·지역연구에서의 정보시각화 활용 방안 연구 (A Study on Utilization Method of Information Visualization in the Humanities and Area Studies)

  • 학제 간 융합은 학문의 발전을 위해 서로의 경계를 넘어 상이한 학문 간의 협업 연구를 통해 새롭고 의미 있는 지식을 창출할 수 있다. 최근에는 특히 인문학과 ICT가 융합된 형태인 디지털인문학이 주목받고 있다. 연구방법론 관점에서의 디지털인문학은 인문지식, 인문정보 등을 정보시스템을 활용하여 저장, 검색, 공유, 확산하고 연구를 위한 도구로 사용가능하며, 정보시스템 측면에서의 디지털인 문학은 다양한 시스템 형태로 구축 및 활용되고 있다. 그 중에서 다양한 정보나 지식을 일반적인 텍스트가 아닌 이미지나 멀티미디어, 기타 인터페이스를 활용해 시각화하여 나타내는 정보시각화와 연계된 디지털인문학 시스템에 관한 연구가 활발하다. 본 논문에서는 디지털인문학 기반의 정보시각화 유형 및 사례를 분석한 후에, 인문·지역연구에서의 정보시각화 활용 방안에 대하여 제안한다.

전국 한의과대학 및 한의학전문대학원의 인문사회의학교육 현황 (Education of Medical humanities and Social Medicine in Schools of Korean Medicine in Korea)

  • Objective : To set up the concept and the category of the medical humanities in Korean medicine education through researching and analysing the curriculum of 12 colleges and school of Korean medicine (KM) in Korea. Methods : We collected self-evaluation reports from 12 KM institutions, and analyzed subjects regarding medical humanities and social medicine. The subjects' relevance with medical humanities was verified using the learning objectives of KOMEEI(Korea Oriental Medicine Education and Evaluation Institute). The number of relevant subjects, the credits and educational hours, and the time of opening, etc. were analysed. Results : 12 KM institutions provide 44 subjects as medical humanities and social medicine related subjects. Among them, 17 subjects were corresponded to the actual learning objective of medical humanities. These subjects account for an average of 7% in total curriculum. Most of the subjects are required courses for premedical students and the fourth year students of medical school. Conclusions : This paper suggests the public discussion on the learning objective and the categories of the medical humanities education in KM institutions. Further studies on developing the educational contents and evaluation tools are also needed to produce good doctors with ability and personality.

  • As the limitation of the existing convergence is pointed out, technology-humanities convergence which highlights the enhancement of the quality of life of humans, is focused as a solution to facilitate sustainable technological innovation. Technology-humanities convergence has already occurred in various industries, of which a considerable number of successful cases can be noted. However, few efforts have been made to investigate technologyhumanities convergence as an independent academic field. Therefore, this paper aimed to identify the status of technology-humanities convergence. To do this, first, a definition of technology-humanities convergence was proposed. Second, based on Maslow's theory, the types of human needs and related key words were extracted. Third, patents related to human needs were collected from the United States Patent and Trademark Office (2000~2014). Fourth and last, the status of technology-humanities convergence was analyzed in terms of "convergence trends" and "convergence areas." This research is expected to promote more creative and human-centered performances of innovation as well as to support decision-making when the innovation strategy-as attempted by the quantitative analysis of technology-humanities convergence in the perspective of sustainable competitiveness-is established.

On Advantages and Disadvantages of Compulsory Major Convergence

  • The government has proposed a development model for universities to strengthen the capacity of the College of Humanities as part of the university restructuring policy in line with the trend of the times, and encouraged each university to voluntarily induce the establishment of the humanities development plan through financial support under their own individual conditions. With the decline in the school-age population due to the declining fertility rate, the rapid change in the industrial structure has highlighted the decline in the employment rate of the students of the humanities. Therefore, the government is implementing university grading based on the results of the university structural reform evaluation, and pressing low-grade universities through reduction of capacity and reduction of support. In the course of this change, universities have designated the College of Humanities as the primary target of integration with other majors or and its disintegration. This study examines the direction of the government's attempt to change the humanities in the era of the Fourth Industrial Revolution, and suggests a precedent example during the reform of the humanities college. If the humanities college is integrated with practical studies such as management, design, IT, CT, and engineering, the strengths of the humanities can be highlighted. However, the results of this study suggest that many variables such as consideration of students' aptitudes and interests in the integration process of majors, autonomy in major selection, understanding between departments integrated, and demand for a single major before integration or disintegration should be considered. In addition, an example of a local private university shows that the hasty attempt to integrate or disintegrate the humanities can rather lead to various educational harms.

인문학 분야 연구데이터를 위한 연구논문의 의미구조 기반 메타데이터 연구 (A Study on the Metadata based on the Semantic Structure of the Humanities Research Articles for Research Data)

  • 본 연구의 목적은 인문학 분야 연구데이터와 연구논문을 연계할 수 있는 '인문학 분야 연구데이터를 위한 연구논문 의미구조 기반 메타데이터'를 개발하는 것이다. 인문학 분야 연구자의 관심 정보를 파악하기 위해 키워드 유형화를 진행하고 이를 일반적인 연구논문의 의미구조를 기준으로 분석함으로써 인문학 분야의 특성을 반영하기 위해 추가될 요소를 확인하였다. 이를 기반으로 인문학 분야 연구논문의 의미구조 기반 메타데이터를 구성하였으며 해당 메타데이터가 인문학 분야 연구데이터의 메타데이터로서 적합한지를 평가하기 위하여 인문학 분야 연구자를 대상으로 설문을 진행하였다. 인문학 분야 연구논문의 의미구조를 기반으로 도출된 17개의 메타데이터 요소 중 인문학 분야 연구데이터 메타데이터로 활용하기에 적합하다고 판단된 요소는 7개이며, 그 외 10개 요소는 사용 가능한 요소로 확인되었다. 평가 결과를 바탕으로 인문학 분야 연구데이터를 위한 연구논문 의미구조기반 메타데이터를 구성하였다.

의료인문학 수업의 플립 러닝 적용 사례 연구: 수업설계와 학습자 인식을 중심으로 (A Case Study on Application of Flipped Learning in Medical Humanities: Focus on Instructional Design and Learners' Perspective)

  • 과학 기술의 발전은 온라인 학습과 오프라인 학습을 조합한 플립 러닝(flipped-learning)이라는 새로운 형태의 수업 방법을 가져 왔다. 플립 러닝은 오늘날 교육 분야에서 보편적으로 활용되는 혼합 학습의 한 형태이다. 의학 교육과정에서 의료 인문학의 중요성을 강조하고 있음에도 불구하고 교육의 목적을 실현하기 위한 효과적인 교수 및 학습 모형이 없었다. 이 연구는 의료 인문학 수업에 플립 러닝을 적용하기 위해 수업을 설계하고 학습자의 인식을 분석하였다. 수업은 설계-개발-실행-평가의 5 단계 분석으로 구성된 ADDIE 모델을 기반으로 설계하였고, 의료인문학 도입의 목적과 의료인이 가져야 할 역량을 고려하여 수업을 재구성하고 학습자와 학습 환경을 분석했다. 교수자는 강의 영상을 제작하여 수업 전과 후에 LMS를 사용할 수 있도록 하였으며, 수업 중에 학습자와 학습자, 학습자와 교수자의 상호작용이 활발하게 이루어지도록 토론 수업을 실시하였다. 플립 러닝 의료 인문학 수업 결과는 다음과 같다. 첫째, 의학 인문 교육의 본질을 실현할 수 있다. 둘째, 의료인의 역량 강화에 기여한다. 셋째, 플립 러닝은 의학 인문학 교육의 새로운 교수 전략으로 활용할 수 있다. 이 연구의 결과는 향후 의료 인문학 수업에서 플립 러닝의 설계와 운영을 위하여 실천 방안을 제공하고 현재 이루어지는 전통적 방식의 의료인문학 수업에서 새로운 교수법 도입의 방향성을 제시하는 데 기여할 것으로 기대된다.

국내 중소기업의 기술인문융합 현황분석 (Issues and Efforts for Technology-Humanities Convergence : Empirical Analysis of Korean SMEs)

  • This paper analyzed the degree of perception and performance of technology-humanities convergence in Korean SMEs. First, the meaning and activities of technology-humanities convergence were defined. Second, a survey data was collected from 277 Korean SMEs and analyzed from two perspectives-degree of performance and degree of perceived importance. Finally, based on the results, this paper signposted the important points to activate the technology-humanities convergence in SMEs.

  • The paper studies on the cooperation between the humanities & social sciences and natural science & technology in 1990's. The article showed policy alternatives about the crisis of humanities & social sciences. That was science wars and we heard that was announced by Sokal affair. In this article, the author inquired into the Korean research policy's crisis and presented the policy alternatives about the crisis of humanities & social sciences and natural science & technology in various ways. In the concrete, the policy alternatives are cultural critique of technology and science and science & development of domain about interdisciplinary studies at the humanities & social science and natural science & technology. In conclusion, First, the author showed the appraisal and institutionalization of interdisciplinary studies. Second, the researcher proposed few policy alternatives and developmental area of interdisciplinary studies between the humanities & social sciences and natural science & technology.

영화를 통한 공학교육과 인문학의 만남 (The Meeting between Engineering Education and Humanities through a Movie)

  • The purpose of this paper is to find a method to combine engineering education and the humanities by means of the movie genre. Although the science technology has developed and our living standard has improved, humanities has a tendency to be underestimated. Humanities has been treated as something antiquated, uninteresting or worn-out because it has no economic value or usefulness in itself. Engineering students need flexible, analytic and critical thought as well as the qualities in constructing key questions and trying to solve themselves. Communicative and understanding abilities are also required to them. Movies as a constructive visual device show problems with the reality. Especially, the science-related movie genre offers them an opportunity to think over why humanities matters as well as what matters in human being. The movies make engineering students think, discuss and argue on the humanity.

  • This study is conducted with an educational institution to minimize the potential security hazards to an acceptable level where the vulnerabilities and threats are revealed in this institution. The paper provides a general structure for the risk management process in educational institutions, and some recommendation that increases security levels is presented.
