The purpose of this study was to investigate the impulse buying behavior of men and women in their twenties, who have experiences of purchasing on internet shopping malls, when they buy fashion products. The data in this study was statistically analyzed using factor analysis, reliability coefficient, and multiple regression analysis using SPSS 14.0. The findings are as follows. First, factor analysis revealed five factors of impulse buying behavior during the purchase of fashion products on internet shopping malls: affective impulse buying, provocative impulse buying, situational impulse buying, reminder impulse buying, and pure impulse buying. Second, factors of perceived risk when purchasing fashion products on internet shopping malls included product quality, payment, service, and economy. Third, sources of information included personal sources of media for fashion professionals, commercials and sponsorship, and promotion. Fourth, the effect of the perceived risk on impulse buying behavior was investigated and the result showed that the perceived risk had a statistically significant influence on impulse buying behavior. Finally, the effect of the information source on impulse buying behavior was investigated and the results showed that the use of information sources had a statistically significant influence on impulse buying behavior.
Mobile phone carriers face challenges from three synergistic dimensions: Wireless, social, and mobile. Despite significant advances that have been made about social networks and human mobility, respectively, our knowledge about the interplay between two layers remains largely limited, partly due to the difficulty in obtaining large-scale datasets that could offer at the same time social and mobile information across a substantial population over an extended period of time. In this paper, we take advantage of a massive, longitudinal mobile phone dataset that consists of human mobility and social network information simultaneously, allowing us to explore the impact of human mobility patterns on the underlying social network. We find that human mobility plays an important role in shaping both local and global structural properties of social network. In contrast to the lack of scale in social networks and human movements, we discovered a characteristic distance in physical space between 10 and 20 km that impacts both local clustering and modular structure in social network. We also find a surprising distinction in trajectory overlap that segments social ties into two categories. Our results are of fundamental relevance to quantitative studies of human behavior, and could serve as the basis of anchoring potential theoretical models of human behavior and building and developing new applications using social and mobile technologies.

This study is aimed at developing a broadcast content creators' information behavior model through analysis of the process of information use including an integrated perspective such as cognitive, emotional and environmental aspects. Broadcast content creators have a common cognitive process and pools of information exchange and integration. In order to have emotional empathy with the general public they search and use the news and human and everyday life information seeking (ELIS). The most important thing is the context of social norms and culture in the broadcasting community and information about judgment is subjective and empirical.

Participants in real-time online sessions, be it (business) meetings, virtual school lessons, or social live streams, all engage in cyber social interactions. Unlike parasocial interactions, cyber social interactions are characterized by reciprocity and temporal proximity. In contrast to social interactions, they lack spatial proximity and bodily contact. This is a fairly new concept in information science that rose from technological advances and unprecedented circumstances (e.g., the rise of digital economy and knowledge workers being able to work remotely or, more recently, global lockdowns and contact restrictions). As a result, the past ways of working and socializing were transformed by making them, in some cases predominantly, virtual. Regarding the example of social live streaming we exhibit the importance of cyber social interactions for information behavior research. This conceptual article is a plea for information science to engage more in human-human online relations and interactions.

This paper presents the interactive behavior modeling method based on POMDP (Partially Observable Markov Decision Process) for HRI (Human-Robot Interaction). HRI seems similar to conversational interaction in point of interaction between human and a robot. The POMDP has been popularly used in conversational interaction system. The POMDP can efficiently handle uncertainty of observable variables in conversational interaction system. In this paper, the input variables of the proposed conversational HRI system in POMDP are the input information of sensors and the log of used service. The output variables of system are the name of robot behaviors. The robot behavior presents the motion occurred from LED, LCD, Motor, sound. The suggested conversational POMDP-based HRI system was applied to an emotional robot KIBOT. In the result of human-KIBOT interaction, this system shows the flexible robot behavior in real world.
BACKGROUND/OBJECTIVES: The expansion of menu labeling to restaurants has created a need to study customers' behavior toward nutrition information. Therefore, the purpose of this research was to compare college students' behavior toward nutrition information communication between Korea and the US. This study consisted of three objectives: 1) to compare the frequency of usage as well as degree of trust regarding smartphone-based communication channels in the acquisition of nutrition information among college students between Korea and the US, 2) to compare knowledge-sharing behavior related to nutrition information among college students between Korea and the US, and 3) to identify the role of country in the process of knowledge-sharing behavior. SUBJECTS/METHODS: A survey was distributed via the web to college students in Korea and the US. Data were collected in the 2nd week of March 2017. Completed responses were collected from 423 Koreans and 280 Americans. Differences between Koreans and Americans were evaluated for statistical significance using a t-test. In order to verify the effects of knowledge self-efficacy and transactive memory capability on knowledge-sharing behavior related to nutrition information, a regression analysis was performed. RESULTS: Significant differences were found in the frequency of usage as well as degree of trust in communication channels related to nutrition information between Korean and American college students. While knowledge self-efficacy and tractive memory capability had positive effects on knowledge-sharing behavior related to nutrition information, country had a significant effect on the process. CONCLUSIONS: This study is the first to compare customer behavior toward nutrition information acquisition and sharing between Korea and the US. Comparative research on nutrition information revealed differences among the different countries. Therefore, this study contributes to the body of knowledge on the nutrition information research, in particular, by providing a comparison study between countries.

The aim of this paper is to investigate a control framework for mobile robots, operating in shared environment with humans. The Intelligent Space (iSpace) can sense the whole space and evaluate the situations in the space by distributing sensors. The mobile agents serve the inhabitants in the space utilizes the evaluated information by iSpace. The iSpace evaluates the situations in the space and learns the walking behavior of the inhabitants. The human intelligence manifests in the space as a behavior, as a response to the situation in the space. The iSpace learns the behavior and applies to mobile agent motion planning and control. This paper introduces the application of fuzzy-neural network to describe the obstacle avoidance behavior teamed from humans. Simulation results are introduced to demonstrate the efficiency of this method.

We have proposed modeling methods of mariners' standard behavior for collision avoidance by analyzing mariners' recognition process in a previous study. As a subsequent study, the aim of this study is to build a model of mariners' execution process which is one of six processes in the condition of collision avoidance. In this study, thus, the structure of mariners' information processing on the process of taking avoiding actions is described and the relation between mariners' behavior and necessary factors in the process is analyzed. And then we have built a model of mariners' standard behavior for execution process based on the characteristics of mariners in ship-handling, which are obtained from the international collaborative research on human factors. It is tried to define the contents of execution process based on the standard behavior of mariners for collision avoidance and to formulate information processing of mariners.

Humans have been shown to engage in multitasking behavior when searching for information on two or more topics or searching an information system at the same time. When processing multiple information tasks, priorities must be established as there are cognitive and physical limitations in processing multiple information tasks at once. The level of cognitive attention involved in multitasking behavior can vary depending on the complexity and importance of the information task. The objectives of this study are to understand: (a) the relationship between attention and information task prioritization behavior when people interact with information retrieval systems to find information for multiple tasks; (b) The effect of the degree of attention on information task prioritization behavior when people interact with an IR system to find information for multiple tasks. A review of the relevant literature shows that when people interact with information retrieval systems to find information for multiple tasks, their level of attention affects how they prioritize multiple information tasks. It should be noticed that people pay more attention to things they find interesting or important. Human-centered system design based on a conceptual understanding of multitasking is discussed.
The purpose of this study is to research male consumers' shopping behavior according to their fashion consciousness. For the purpose, the data collected were analyzed by factor analysis, one-way ANOVA, Duncan's multiple range test X2-test, and Pearson's correlation. The results of the study are as follows: 1. Male consumers' fashion consciousness were classified into 4 groups-Impulse Buying Consciousness Group, Brand Consciousness Group, Style Consciousness Group, and Fashion Indifference Group-by the following 6 factors: Impulse Buying Consciousness, Brand Consciousness, Style Consciousness, Trend Consciousness, Price Consciousness, Consumption Expenditure Consciousness. 2. There were significant differences existed among each group according to clothing purchase behavior, shopping orientation, and use of information sources. 3.
