굽힘 변형도를 이용한 선상가열 과정의 곡 펴짐 현상에 관한 연구 (Plate Flattening Analysis in Line Heating Process using Bending Strains)

  • In the line heating process, only angular distortion whose direction is perpendicular to that of a heating path is expected. However, it is observed that a deformation is induced in the direction of the heating line. Because of this, during forming a saddle type plate we experience unfavorable deformations in the unintended direction. In this paper we discuss the unwanted distortion in the manufacturing process by analyzing intermediate plates of saddle type during fabrication. For this analysis we consider the longitudinal and transversal directions separately and use the bending strain for the analysis.

  • Recently, Application of composite materials are increased in transport area for weight reduction. Also, Related technical developments have been implemented actively at domestic and abroad. In particular, The carbon fiber has high strength and ultra light property higher than stainless steel, aluminum, GFRP as Eco-friendly material. Carbon fiber contribute to improving the environmental effect such as fuel saving, expansion of loadage, reducing the exhaustion of carbon dioxide through the weight reduction of transport area. In addition, The carbon fiber is applied to the ship in the area of race yacht, luxury cruise boat as weight reduction and high added-value materials, but there is limited application for general boat because price of carbon fiber is very expensive. For the weight reduction of general boat hull, being used as structure materials, glass fiber and carbon fiber are applied to hull with form of hybrid composite materials, but application of domestic and research for development are incomlete. In this study, An evaluations of mechanical strength property and fatigue strength are performed on composite materials by hybrid weaving of glass fiber and carbon fiber and composite materials forming method by hybrid forming.

Effect of Wastewater from the in-water Cleaning Process of Ship Hull on Marine Organisms - A Review

  • Over the past decade, there has been global expansion in the advancement of underwater cleaning technology for ship hulls. This methodology ensures both diver safety and operational efficiency. However, recent attention has been drawn to the harmful effects of ship hull-cleaning wastewater on marine animals. It is anticipated that this wastewater may have various impacts on a wide range of organisms, potentially leading to populationand ecosystem-relevant alterations. This concern is especially significant when the wastewater affects functionally important species, such as aquaculture animals and habitat-forming species living in coastal regions, where underwater cleaning platforms are commonly established. Despite this, information on the ecotoxicological effects of this wastewater remains limited. In this mini review, we discuss the adverse effects of wastewater from in-water cleaning processes, as well as the current challenges and limitations in regulating and mitigating its potential toxicity. Overall, recent findings underscore the detrimental effects posed by sublethal levels of wastewater to the health status of aquatic animals under both acute and chronic exposure.

열간가공에 의한 강판의 곡 가공 자동화 시스템 (A Study on Automation of Steel Plate Forming by Heating Method)

  • 선체 외판 중 약 70% 정도가 3차원 곡면 형상으로 구성되어 있다. 이러한 3차원 형상을 자동으로 성형하기 위해서 수년간 많은 연구를 수행하여 오고 있는 실정이다. 본 연구의 목적은 가열현상을 합리적으로 대변할 수 있는 역학적 모델을 도입하여 가열 Simulator를 개발하는데 있다. 이를 위해 가열 결과에 영향을 줄 수 있는 가열 위치 ,강판의 두께, 가열 속도 등 다양한 인자로써 실험을 수행하였다. 본 연구에서 개발한 가열 Simulator의 정당성을 입증하고자 몇 가지 모델에 대해 적용하여, 실험결과와 Simulator의 추정치를 비교한 결과 만족할 만한 결과를 나타내었으며, Simulator에 적용된 이론적 배경의 합당성을 확인할 수 있었다.

  • In a line heating process for hull forming, the phase of the steel transforms from austenite to martensite, bainite, ferrite, or pearlite depending on the actual speed of cooling following line heating. In order to simulate the water cooling process widely used in shipyards, a heat transfer analysis on the effects of impinging water jet, film boiling, and radiation was performed. From the above simulation it was possible to obtain the actual speed of cooling and volume percentage of each phase in the inherent strain region of a line heated steel plate. Based on the material properties calculated from the volume percentage of each phase, it should be possible to predict the plate deformations due to line heating with better precision. Compared to the line heating experimental results, the simulated water cooling process method was verified to improve the predictability of the plate deformation due to line heating.

자중과 용접변형을 고려한 평블록 조립 시뮬레이션 (An Assembly Simulation of a Plane Block with Gravity and Welding Deformations)

  • 완성되어진 블록을 이용한 탑재의 과정에서 발생하는 블록 경계간의 판재 겹쳐짐 현상, 과도한 간격 및 단차의 발생현상은 선박의 건조비용과 공수를 증가시키는 요인이 된다. 본 논문에서는 블록의 조립 및 탑재에 관한 시뮬레이션 시스템을 제안하고 이중 조립에 관한 시뮬레이션을 용접순서에 따라 용접변형 및 자중을 고려하여 유한요소해석을 ANSYS를 이용하여 수행하였다. 용접에 의한 변형은 실험에 의한 변형량을 이용한 등가강성에 따른 등가 하중을 사용하여 탄성적인 해석법을 수행하여 예측하였으며 선체 이중저 평블록을 패널 조립법에 근거한 조립순서에 따라 시뮬레이션을 수행하였다. 시뮬레이션을 통한 변형으로부터 조립순서에 따른 중간 제품의 형상의 변화에 의한 강성의 변화에 기인한 변형량의 차이를 확인 할 수 있었으며, 자중의 효과를 반드시 고려하여야 함을 확인 할 수 있었다.

  • 3-D templates are produced to evaluate completeness of the shell plates during the forming process, which is an essential step for the ship production. They are mostly produced in advance during the detail/production design stage, but occasionally they are requested by the shell plate forming department, because it is impossible to predict accurately the necessities of them at the design stage. This results in a huge loss of man-hour and a bottleneck. In order to resolve this issue while reducing the dependence on other department, the process of manufacturing the 3-D templates needs to be automated. Therefore, this study proposes an automatic system that calculates the manufacturing information of the 3-D templates with only geometric information of the shell plates. The system considers the thickness and the cutting method of the parts of the 3-D templates and some options are provided to reflect the intention of the worker.

  • 선체 외관을 이루는 판부재 중에서 일차곡만을 가진 부품은 피라미드 형의 롤러 굽힘장치를 이용하여 제작한다. 일차곡 부재를 생산하기 위한 공정에서 가장 중요한 작업 변수는 중앙 롤러의 수직변위값이다. 본 연구에서는 이러한 굽힘 현상을 보의 탄소성 굽힘현상으로 모델링하여 해석해를 구하였으며, 엄밀한 역학적 이해를 위하여 유한요소해석법을 이용하여 굽힘현상을 해석하였다. 해석을 통하여 일정한 굽힘 곡률을 얻기 위한 중앙 롤러의 수직변위 값을 계산하였으며, 유한요소해석법은 보 요소와 평면변형율 요소를 이용하여 모델링하고 각각의 경우에 대한 해석을 수행하였으며 이 결과를 해석해와 비교하였다. 계산을 통하여 판에 가해야 할 굽힘곡률과 중앙롤러의 수직변위 사이의 관계를 도출하였으며 일차곡가공의 중요한 작업변수인 중앙롤러의 수직변위와 잔류곡률상의 관계를 수치 데이터로써 정식화 하였다.
