This experiment was designed to investigate the effect of the SST hot water extract & ultra-fine Powder on Alzheimer's Disease Model Induced by ${\beta}$A. The effects of the SST hot water extract on expression of IL-1${\beta}$, IL-6, TNF-${\alpha}$, NOS-II, COX-2 mRNA and production of IL-l${\beta}$, IL-6, TNF-${\alpha}$, NO in BV2 microglial cell line treated by lipopolysacchaide(LPS). The effects of the SST hot water extract & ultra-fine powder on (1) the behavior (2) expression of IL-1${\beta}$, TNF-${\alpha}$, MDA, (3) Glucose, AChE in serum (4) the infarction area of the hippocampus, and brain tissue injury in Alzheimer's diseased mice induced with ${\beta}$A were investigated. The SST hot water extract suppressed the expression of IL-1${\beta}$, IL-6 and TNF-a mRNA ${\alpha}$in BV2 microglia cell line treated with LPS. The SST hot water extract suppressed the production of IL-1${\beta}$, IL-6, TNF-${\alpha}$, NO in BV2 microglial cell line treated with LPS. The SST hot water extract & ultra-fine powder a significant inhibitory effect on the memory deficit was shown for the mice with Alzheimer's disease induced by ${\beta}$A in the Morris water maze experiment, which measured stop-through latency. The SST ultra-fine powder suppressed the expression of TNF-a protein significantly in the microglial cell of mice with Alzheimer's disease induced by ${\beta}$A. The SST hot water extract & ultra-fine powder reduced the MDA and suppressed the over-expression of CD68, CD11b in the mice with Alzheimer's disease induced by ${\beta}$A. The SST hot water extract & ultra-fine powder decreased AChE significantly in the serum of the mice with Alzheimer's disease induced by ${\beta}$A. The SST hot water extract & ultra-fine powder reduced infarction area of hippocampus, and controlled the injury of brain tissue in the mice with Alzheimer's disease induced by ${\beta}$A. The SST hot water extract & ultra-fine powder reduced the tau protein, GFAP, and presenilin1, 2 of hippocampus in the mice with Alzheimer's disease induced by ${\beta}$A. These results suggest that the SST hot water extract & ultra-fine powder may be effective for the prevention and treatment of A1zheimer's disease. Investigation into the clinical use of the SST hot water extract & ultra-fine powder for Alzheimer's disease is suggested for future research.

Anthracnose of papaya fruit caused by the fungus Colletotrichum gloeosporioides is one of the most economically important postharvest diseases. Hot water immersion (HW) and calcium chloride (Ca) treatments have been used to control papaya postharvest diseases; however, the effect of the combination HW-Ca on the pathogen growth and the development of the disease in infected papaya fruit has been scarcely studied. The aim of this study was to evaluate the effect of the HW-Ca treatment on the in vitro growth of C. gloesporioides conidia and the quality of infected papaya. In vitro, the HW-Ca treated conidia showed reduced mycelial growth and germination. In vivo, the HW-Ca treatment of infected papaya delayed for 5 days the onset of the anthracnose symptoms and improved the papaya postharvest quality. The combined treatment HW-Ca was better than any of the individual treatments to inhibit the in vitro development of C. gloeosporioides and to reduce the negative effects of papaya anthracnose.

This experiment was designed to investigate the effect of the CMT and PCMT hot water extract & ultra-fine powder on microglia and memory deficit model. The effects of the CMT and PCMT hot water extract on expression of $IL-l{\beta},\;IL-6,\;TNF-{\alpha}$, NOS-II, COX-2, IL-10, $TGF-{\beta}1$ mRNA and production of $IL-l{\beta},\;IL-6,\;TNF-{\alpha}$, NO, ROS in BV2 microglial cell line treated by lipopolysacchaide(LPS) , serum glucose, uric acid, AChE activity of the memory deficit mice induced by scopolamine , behavior of the memory deficit mice induced by scopolamine and were investigated, respectively. The CMT and PCMT hot water extract suppressed the expression of $IL-l{\beta},\;IL-6,\;TNF-{\alpha}$, NOS-11, COX-2 mRNA, production of $IL-l{\beta},\;IL-6,\;TNF-{\alpha}$, NO, ROS and increased the expression of IL-10, $TGF-{\beta}1$ mRNA in BV2 microglial cell line treated by LPS. The PCMT hot water extract & ultra-fine powder increased glucose, decreased uric acid and AChE significantly in the serum of the memory deficit mice induced by scopolamine. The CMT and PCMT hot water extract & ultra-fine powder groups showed significantly inhibitory effect on the scopolamine-induced impairment of memory in the experiment of Morris water maze. According to the above result, it is suggested that the CMT and PCMT hot water extract & ultra-fine powder might be usefully applied for prevention and treatment of dementia.

Result : The CBD hot water extract suppressed the expression of $IL-1{\beta}$, $TNF-{\alpha}$ mRNA in BV2 microglia cell line treated with LPS. The CBD hot water extract significantly suppressed the production of $IL-1{\beta}$, $TNF-{\alpha}$ in BV2 microglial cell line treated with LPS. The CBD hot water extract & ultra-fine powder a significant inhibitory effect on the memory deficit was shown for the mice with Alzheimer's disease induced by ${\beta}A$ in the Morris water maze experiment, which measured step-through latency and distance movement-through latency. The CBD hot water extract & ultra-fine powder significantly suppressed the expression of $IL-l{\beta}$ and $TNF-{\alpha}$ protein in the microglial cell of mice with Alzheimer's disease induced by ${\beta}A$. The CBD hot water extract & ultra-fine powder suppressed the over-expression of AChE activity in the serum of the mice with Alzheimer's disease induced by ${\beta}A$. The CBD hot water extract & ultra-fine powder reduced infarction area of hippocampus, in the mice with Alzheimer's disease induced by ${\beta}A$. Conclusions : These results suggest that the CBD hot water extract & ultra-fine powder may be effective for the prevention and treatment of Alzheimer's disease. Investigation into the clinical use of the CBD hot water extract & ultra-fine powder for Alzheimer's disease is suggested for future research.

This study was carried out to investigate the effects of hot solution soaking and chilling treatment on sprouting and enlargement of bulblets obtained through in vitro culture in Korean native lilies with ornamental values. In vitro bulblets of Lilium cernuum, L. hansonii, L. hansonii for. mutatum, L. leichtlinii, and L. tsingtauense were soaked in distilled water or 100 $mg{\cdot}L^{-1}$$GA_3$ and $GA_{4+7}$ solution maintained at $35^{\circ}C$ for two hours (hot water treatment) and/or exposed at $4^{\circ}C$ for 0, 4, or 8 weeks (chilling treatment) and then planted in plastic trays filled with media and grown in a greenhouse at $20^{\circ}C$ and under 16 h photoperiod. In all species, no bulblet propagated by tissue culture sprouted without chilling or hot water treatment due to dormancy. For dormancy breaking, $GA_{4+7}$ hot solution treatment increasing sprouting by 55-96%, whereas distilled water or GA was not effective in sprouting. Chilling treatment for 4 weeks induced sprouting by 50-70% in L. cernuum and L. leichtlinii, whereas 8 weeks was needed for sprouting of L. hansonii and L. hansonii for. mutatum. Combined treatment of hot water and chilling treatments synergistically promoted sprouting. Especially, in L. cernuum and L. hansonii, $GA_{4+7}$ hot solution soaking prior to chilling for 4 weeks promoted sprouting by 35-45% compared with the reverse order. Enlargement of bulblets resulted from increase in fresh weight and diameter was promoted by the treatments that increased the sprouting percentage of bulblets. Only in L. cernuum, shoots emerged from bulblets soaked in hot $GA_{4+7}$ solution or chilled at $4^{\circ}C$ and shoot emergence rate was highest in bulblets soaked in hot $GA_{4+7}$ solution and then chilled for 8 weeks. From these results, the most effective method for bulblet sprouting and enlargement was to soak in hot $GA_{4+7}$ solution and then chill for 4 weeks in L. hansonii, hansonii for. mutatum, and leichtlinii, and to soak in hot $GA_{4+7}$ solution and then chill for 4 weeks in L. cernuum and tsingtauense.

Pre-thermal treatment is important to minimize quality changes during main cooking or storage. In this study, to optimize pre-thermal treatment of carrots, three types of pre-thermal treatments were applied to carrots and quality changes such as physicochemical, nutritional, or sensory properties were observed. Washed and sliced carrots were thermally treated by hot-water immersion ($100^{\circ}C$, 1~10 min), steaming ($100^{\circ}C$, 1~10 min), and stir-frying with oil (10~80 sec). Carrot tissue was maintained until 2 min hot-water immersion or steaming, and they were damaged by just 30 sec of stir-frying. Color and hardness were significantly affected by treatment time and temperature. Color was completely changed after 5 min and 7 min by hot-water and steam treatments, respectively. Hardness decreased to 44% compared with fresh carrot (4,500 g) after 1 min, 3 min, and 20 sec of hot-water, steam, and stir-frying, respectively. For nutritional changes, ascorbic acid, organic acid, and peroxide activity were reduced by all treatments compared with fresh carrot. Especially, succinic acid was dramatically reduced by hot-water treatment. Otherwise, free sugar contents were increased with greater treatment time in all samples. In this study, pre-thermal treatment of carrot was optimal at 2 min steaming treatment.
Objectives : The purpose of this study is to evaluate the clinical effects of ascending kidney water and descending heart fire pharmacopuncture treatment for hot flush and sweating. Methods : Ascending kidney water and descending heart fire pharmacopuncture is achieved by injecting pharmacopuncture on a specific acupoint to change from the state of water-fire disharmony to harmonious state. Hwangryunhaedok-tang (黃連解毒湯) pharmacopuncture is injected on both side Gyeonjeong (GB 21 ), Pungji (GB 20 ). Total 0.4 cc was injected by 0.1 cc each point. BUM (Bear’s gall bladder, ox bezoar and musk) pharmacopuncture is injected on both side Jeonjung (CV 17 ), Jungwan (CV 12 ), Gihae (CV 6 ). Total 0.15 cc was injected by 0.05 cc each point. Treatment was done daily. The method of evaluation are Hot Flush Score (HFS), VAS and sweating areas. Results : In case 1, after treatment hot flush score was reduced from 24 to 4 points. VAS scale was reduced from 7 to 2. It took about two weeks for the symptoms to decrease by half. Associated symptoms almost did not stay at discharge. In case 2, after treatment hot flush score was reduced from 28 to 2 points. VAS scale was reduced from 10 to 3. And emotional symptoms were reduced about 70%. In case 3, after treatment hot flush score was reduced from 8 to 1 points. VAS scale was reduced from 6 to 1. And headache and chest discomfort symptoms have disappeared. Conclusions : Ascending kidney water and descending heart fire pharmacopuncture treatment is effective for improve ascending kidney water and descending heart fire energy. Therefore, it will be used to alleviate hot flush and sweating.
This study was conducted to investigate the physicochemical properties of citrus peel extracts with different hot water extraction and enzymatic hydrolysis conditions. Enzymatic hydrolysis was also employed using Viscozyme L and results were compared with that of optimized hot water extract. Hot water extraction was performed under different parameters; the sample to solvent ratio(1:20, 1:15, 1:10), extraction time(2, 4 hrs), extraction temperature(85, $95^{\circ}C$) and enzymatic hydrolysis(0, 1%) and the subsequent extracts were used for determining their physicochemical properties, such as total yield, total phenolics, total flavonoids, and electron donating ability (EDA). With the increase in the sample to solvent ratio and extraction time, total yield, total phenolics, total flavonoids and EDA increased. But extraction temperature did not significantly affect the hot water extract. As hot water extract was hydrolyzed by the enzyme, total yield and active ingredients increased rapidly. In the result of total yield, total phenolics, total flavonoids and EDA, the activity of enzyme-treated extract was higher than those of enzyme-untreated extract. Based upon the overall hot water extraction efficiency, it was found that 20 times volume or 120 min at a time at $95^{\circ}C$ after enzyme treatment was optimal.
Storage quality of minimally processed onion as influenced by hot-water dipping was investigated to examine feasibility of mild heat treatment as efficient post-processing method. fresh onions were peeled, trimmed, and dipped in hot water at various temperatures ($50-80^{\circ}C$) for 1 min. Heat-treated onions were cooled, de-watered, packaged in low density polyethylene (LDPE) film pouches ($63\;{\mu}m\;thickness$), and stored at $10^{\circ}C$. Samples treated at higher temperatures ($70-80^{\circ}C$) showed significant increases in flesh weight loss and discoloration during storage as compared to others. Hot-water dipping remarkably reduced initial microbial load of prepeeled onions, with over 1 log cycle decrease in aerobic bacterial count. After 7 days storage, no significant differences in viable aerobe count were observed among treated and untreated samples, with both showing $10^{6}-10^{7}\;CFU/g$. For sensory attributes including discoloration, wilting, decay, and visual quality, onions treated with hot-water dipping at $60^{\circ}C$ scored highest. Results suggested hot-water dipping at specific condition as practical post-processing treatment could effectively prolong shelf life of minimally processed onion.

회원이 이용계약을 해지하고자 하는 때에는 [가입해지] 메뉴를 이용해 직접 해지해야 합니다.
제 16 조 (서비스 이용제한)
① 당 사이트는 회원이 서비스 이용내용에 있어서 본 약관 제 11조 내용을 위반하거나, 다음 각 호에 해당하는
경우 서비스 이용을 제한할 수 있습니다.
- 2년 이상 서비스를 이용한 적이 없는 경우
- 기타 정상적인 서비스 운영에 방해가 될 경우
② 상기 이용제한 규정에 따라 서비스를 이용하는 회원에게 서비스 이용에 대하여 별도 공지 없이 서비스 이용의
일시정지, 이용계약 해지 할 수 있습니다.
제 17 조 (전자우편주소 수집 금지)
회원은 전자우편주소 추출기 등을 이용하여 전자우편주소를 수집 또는 제3자에게 제공할 수 없습니다.
제 6 장 손해배상 및 기타사항
제 18 조 (손해배상)
당 사이트는 무료로 제공되는 서비스와 관련하여 회원에게 어떠한 손해가 발생하더라도 당 사이트가 고의 또는 과실로 인한 손해발생을 제외하고는 이에 대하여 책임을 부담하지 아니합니다.
제 19 조 (관할 법원)
서비스 이용으로 발생한 분쟁에 대해 소송이 제기되는 경우 민사 소송법상의 관할 법원에 제기합니다.

1. (시행일) 이 약관은 2016년 9월 5일부터 적용되며, 종전 약관은 본 약관으로 대체되며, 개정된 약관의 적용일 이전 가입자도 개정된 약관의 적용을 받습니다.
