대형병원과의 제휴에 대한 병원경영자의 기대수준에 영향을 미치는 요인분석 (The Study on Factors Affecting the Expectation Level of Hospital CEOs on Affiliation with Large Size Hospitals)

  • The purpose of the study is to find the factors influencing small or middle size clinics and hospitals CEOs' expectation level on the affiliation with the large size teaching hospitals. Data for analysis was collected to use self-administrative structured questionnaire on 164 CEOs of small or middle sized clinics and hospitals affiliated with large sized teaching hospital located in Kyung Ki Province. For the study, the researchers develop the constructs for questions on the expectation on the affiliation, the attitude such as confidence, knowledge on the affiliation, previous relationship of the affiliation, and selection guideline of the affiliation with exploratory factor analysis and reliability test. Through the confirmative factor analysis using AMOS 4, the researchers develop constructs based on exact relationship between constructs and questions. CEOs' expectation level on the affiliation is influenced on attitude or confidence, gender, types of clinics and hospitals, distance to the affiliated large hospital, types of recommender, and number of affiliated hospitals. Large sized hospitals that want to affiliation with other clinics and hospitals can promote the affiliation to consider these factors from the results.

웹서비스품질이 초기신뢰와 오프라인 방문의도에 미치는 영향: 중소병원을 중심으로 (The Effect of Hospital Web Service Quality on Initial Trust and Off-line Visit Intention: Focusing on Medium and Small Size Hospital)

  • Purpose: Present study was designed to examine the casual relationships among web service quality, customer satisfaction, initial trust and off-line visit intention in hospital website. Research object was limited to web service quality of general hospital. We applied path analysis model in order to test the hypotheses and research model. Methods: Survey tool, that is, Questionnaire had obtained validity through literature survey, exploratory survey and pretest and sample 320 was selected. For statistical treatment of pretest and main analysis, SPSS18.0 and AMOS18.0 were employed and Structural equation model was employed as analysis method. Results: Result of this study shows as follows. Factors of web service quality have an effect on customer satisfaction and initial trust, both of customer satisfaction and initial trust have an effect on off-line visit intention. Also customer satisfaction affects initial trust. Especially, customer satisfaction and initial trust were empirically confirmed as the important factors preceding off-line vis it intention. Conclusion: Therefore, present study shows that customer satisfaction and initial trust are important factors that medium and small size hospitals have to emphasize to raise performance. However, present study has some limitations to additionally research in the future.

병원 약제행위의 원가구조 및 수가체계 개선방향 (Cost Structure of the Hospital Drug Services and Their Directions for Price System Improvement)

  • The price systems of the hospital drug services play key roles in the provision of quality services and the development of pharmacy service technologies. Under the premises, this study attempted to determine the costs of hospital drug service, to compare the costs calculated with the fees publicly fixed by the Government, and based on the results of the analysis, to propose directions for the improvement of the price systems. A Costing model for the study was developed based on the cost-fee relationship analysed of the Korean fee-for-service systems. Data on costs and workloads of the 25 hospitals were collected through survey forms designed for the costing' and analysis for the duration of 12 months of 1998. The results of the analysis show that a tremendous unbalance between cost and price levels of the drug services, and that overally the price level of the services is extremely low when compared to the costs of services. Based on these findings, this study suggests that unfairly high or low price level be corrected, and that service items newly developed and being practiced at tertiary hospitals, such as TDM and TPN consultation services, be compensated by fixing a proper level of price.

A Study on the Effect of Media Education in Patients with Temporomandibular Joint Disorders

  • Purpose: The first-line treatment of temporomandibular joint disorders (TMDs) should include self-management and education. Self-management techniques include moist heat application, stretching, diet control, and mandibular rest position adjustment. Although the effectiveness of video educational resources has been studied in multiple sectors, their application in TMD management has not yet been explored. This study seeks to assess how effective media education was at motivating TMD patients to self-management and improve symptoms. Methods: Data were obtained from the hospital records of TMD patients who visited the Department of Oral Medicine, Yonsei University Dental Hospital, between May 2020 and December 2021. First, without any differences between groups, a significance analysis was conducted between the degree of self-management and symptom improvement over time. At the second visit, one group received media education (n=31) linked to TMD management, while the other received written-oriented education (n=45). At the third visit, the number of precautions taken by the patients was determined and contrasted to that recorded in the previous visit between the groups. Generalized estimated equation multivariate models were applied for statistical analysis. Results: In the media education group, the frequency of stretching and the number of patients on pain-free diets increased substantially. Taking precautions improved daily pain intensity, maximum mouth opening, and pain intensity during the maximum unassisted opening. Conclusions: Media education could be beneficial for TMD patients because it allows them to take self-management precautions. The symptoms of the media education group improved, with no considerable distinction between both groups.

미용성형 환자의 병원 선택 요인과 만족도 (Hospital Selection Factors and Degree of Satisfaction of Aesthetic Plastic Surgery Patients)

  • Recently hospitals are trying to meet requests of patients by reflecting regular survey results of patients into hospital's management in order to increase patients' satisfaction and the rate of return visit. In this paper, degree of patients' satisfaction and the rate of return visit were analyzed using surveys of hospital selection factors and the characteristics of aesthetic plastic surgery. This analysis results can be used as data for setting up efficient management direction of aesthetic plastic surgery hospitals. In the main results, facilities and medical trust factor was the primary cause for aesthetic plastic surgery patients to select hospitals and the results showed that hospitals have to consider carefully not only aesthetic plastic surgery patients but also guardians such as parents or friends because patients are acquiring surgery information from them. The results also showed approachableness to hospitals was not important factor to select a hospital.

병원 근로자의 지식공유에 영향을 미치는 요인 (Factors Affecting Hospital Employees' Knowledge Sharing)

  • The objective of this research is to survey of knowledge management in hospitals and to search the factors to impact the knowledge sharing and innovation behavior among employees. The data is collected with hospital employees by questionnaire method. Total number of analysis is 779 cases, and the collected data is analyzed by SEM(structural equation model). The work performance(WP) make influence the innovation behavior(IB) through knowledge sharing(KS) intention. The KS intention and IB are different in sex, age, education, work duration and work level. But, WP is different only in sex. The only personnel and organizational factors to affect KS intention, WP and IB are reciprocity(in personnel factor) and trust(in organization factor). Those factors mean the mental or psychological relationship among employees. So, to make more developed knowledge management in hospitals is to need more personal relationship than any other system management or incentives.

듀퐁 분석을 통한 한국 병원계의 경영 현황 분석 (Assessment of Korean Hospitals Management Using Dupont Analysis)

  • Purposes: The hospitals needs to generate a minimum profit, in order to perform its own role such as providing high-quality medical services. The demand for hospital management is increasing, as the social demands are diversified and the financial transparency is emphasized. The purpose of this study is to compare hospitals management based on Dupont Identity, by various hospital classification. Methodology: This study is based on '2016 Statistics for Hospital Management' provided by the Korea Health Industry Development Institute. The hospitals were classified according to the scope of care, the type of establishment, the location, and the number of beds. We analyzed the general and financial characteristics of over 337 hospitals using the method of Dupont Identity. Findings: Net profit margin (PM) has the biggest impact on return of equity (ROE). By the number of beds, general hospital with 160-299 beds have the highest return on equity (ROE). By location, hospitals in local municipalities have higher return on equity than hospitals in urban municipalities. According to the type of establishment, public hospitals have lower business performance, and although they invest more than private hospitals. Practical Implications: This study can inspire interest and provide understanding in hospital management and financial structure, by analyzing through an intuitive indicator named Dupont identity. It is possible to provide basic data for hospital management methods for each financial elements, in order to increase the profitability of hospitals.

치과대학병원 수익성에 영향을 미치는 요인 분석 (Identifying Factors Affecting Dental University Hospitals' Profitability)

  • Purposes: This study aims to identify factors affecting dental university hospitals' profitability and understand recent their business condition. Methodology: Data from 2016 to 2019 was collected from financial statement, public open data in 8 dental university hospitals. For the study, multiple regression test with stepwise selection was applied. Findings: First of all, 9 out of 19 independent variables were selected by stepwise selection. As a result of multiple regression test with selected independent variables and the dependent variable(operating profit margin ratio), the factors affecting hospitals' profitability were the number of dental unit chair, hospital location, debt ratio, total capital turnover ratio, employment cost rate, material cost rate, management expense rate, the number of patient per a dentist. Practical Implication: To improve dental university hospitals' profitability, hospitals specifically analysis and manage their cost such as employment, material and management cost and seek effectiveness by managing the proper number of patient per a dentist.

  • This study has been conducted to estimate the degree of cognition of military hospital services according to experience of military hospital services for serviceman, and to find out some factors affecting the medical services satisfaction. Questionnaires were given to 600 persons during October 5th though 24th 2009. All 600 questionnaires distributed affair, but 343 cases were collected. Statistical analysis methods used in this dissertation are t-test, Logistic Regression Analysis and other basic statistics such as frequency, percentage, and standard deviation using SPSS ver, 17.0. Results of the study are as follows: The satisfaction of the treat a patients' to compared military hospital and private hospital was providing free medical treatment for serviceman. The dissatisfaction of the treat a patients' to compared military hospital and private hospital was army doctors treated his very unfriendly. The level of medical treatment to providing military hospital was very low cognition for serviceman. In conclusion, to increase the preference of the military hospital is level of private hospital health care level of should be to developed. More support to financial should provide for medical workforce and setting of cutting edge medical equipment in the military hospital. Military hospital is should be competition with private hospital. Also should be improve the quality of military medical service.

병원의 서비스개선 우선순위 설정을 위한 IPA 적용 (An application of Important-Performance Analysis to set the service improvement priority in hospital)

  • The importance-performance analysis (IPA) is a widely used analytical technique that produces a priority of managerial attention for the customer satisfaction. This study attempted to compare various different approaches of IPA such as direct and indirect measurement of importance, and traditional four quadrants grid model and diagonal grid model of IPA. Data on 17 inpatient service quality attributes were collected from 234 inpatients of a general hospital. Eight IPA grids were produced to compare the result of each model. Based on the study results the strength and weakness of each model were discussed, and a set of recommendations for practical application of the IPA in hospital settings was suggested.
