Thus, as a part of this activity, this study was conducted to evaluate job flow improvement that was already performed and the results of that process at the dietetic department of a university hospital, focusing on improving management. Method : On February 15 of 1998. the dietetic department formed a job flow-improvement to decide on the priority of job flow improvement, and prepared specific action strategies and schedule of the priority: after a 5 month process period, job improvement achieved on June 15. 1998. Also, economic achievement of the task was evaluated through labor productivity analysis and cost-benefit analysis. Results : The patient food service system which was managed decentralized at the present hospital was centralized, some steps of the food service process were integrated, and quality of patient food was improved. Also, as a solution of the problems expected when conducting job flow improvement was made on food service equipments and utensils. The result of evaluating the job flow improvement that labor productivity improved by 18.2% compared to before the improvement and the result of the analysis of cost-benefit showed that Benefit-Cost (B/C) ratio was 2.22. showing financial merit on the investment. Conclusions : Continuous Quality Improvement Activity needs to be initiated and conducted in the future in various areas of hospital foodservice system in order to actively adopt to ever changing hospital management environment. In order to achieve this goal, many researches and more efforts need to be put in by people in charge of hospital food service management, and interests and support are needed from hospital policy makers.
This study was performed to provide medical service providers with useful information for their market competitiveness and decision making. It is regarding positioning map and repositioning map strategy to enforce market competitiveness through bench marking of a specific hospital which has been relatively underestimated in the market. With AHP and biplot analyses for this study, we could identify priority of properties that medical service consumers consider when they choose a university hospital and market competitiveness of alternative university hospitals. It is expected that the study of repositioning strategy to Strengthening Market Competitiveness will provide efficient problem solving method to allocation restricted resources by repositioning the specific university hospital through benchmarking with evaluation factors of the most market competitiveness university hospital. When Inje University Paik Hospital was benchmarked and repositioned, the share of Paik hospital increased and there was only 3.1% difference from Dongah Dong-A University Hospital, which occupied the first place in market competitiveness. Such the results of this study may suggestion management strategies to provide efficient problem solving methods when companies responding to rapidly changing management environments allocation restricted resources.
The objectives of this research is to find the factors which determined hospital profitability. The unit of analysis is hospital, and the data is collected from two sources. One source is derived from Ministry of Health and Social Affairs(4 years' data from 134 hospitals), and another source is derived from Sam-II Accounting Co.(1 year's data from 37 hospitals). Hospital profitability, which is dependent variable in our research, is measured with financial ration, such as ROI(reture on investment). The major findings are as follows; 1) The hospital profitability is determined with not hospital type itself but management-incentives associated with hospital type. 2) The maximum profitability is obtained in 775 bed-size. 3) The hospital location isn't a factor to determine profitability 4) The internal control and management, such as account receivables, inventory, fixed assert investment, is major factor to hospital profitability.
Purposes: The purposes of this study is analysis of business performance in national university hospitals in Korea. Methodology: Data from 2010 to 2019 were collected from balance sheet, income statement, and annual reports in 11 national university hospitals. The dependant variables are business performance which are operating margin to total assets, operating margin to gross revenue, and net income to gross revenue. The independent variables are the number of bed, hospital location, opening, liquidity, stability, and activity. National university hospitals increase profitability by using resources as efficiently as possible. The short-term debt and fixed assets have been increased rapidly in recent years. It was found that management performance has been increased through active investment using financial leverage. Practical Implications: Based on these results, this study will be the basic data for efficient management of national university hospitals.

1) Purpose : The purpose of this research is to identify the trend of job stress of hospital nurses based on last 10 years of domestic research and to suggest directions for systematic future research. 2) Methodology : 101 studies between 2006 and 2016 were selected using key words such as registered nurse and job stress from Academic Information Service(Riss4u), the National Assembly Library and Korean studies Information Service System(KISS). 3) Findings : The researches on job stress of hospital nurses were increasing. The result showed that job stress increased for shift nurses. Especially, nurses of small-medium sized hospital showed remarkable effects to organization such as turnover intention. In addition, although the importance of approach to management is emphasized, there is little research on these aspects. 4) Practical Implications : It is necessary to develop systematic research on job stress directly effecting turnover intention of hospital nurses from hospital management aspect. The development of job stress measuring tools reflecting the characteristics of the medical institution, and the human resources management plan to resolve the imbalance in manpower for nurses should be required.

Purpose: This study intends to offer strategic implications that can be used in emergency medical service of large-size hospital through analysis of causal relationship among factors such as emergency medical service, patient value, patient satisfaction and reuse intention. Methods: Differential model was introduced to test causal relationship. Questionnaire was developed, and data was collected and analyzed with Structural Equation Modeling. Results: As a result of empirical analysis, we found that emergency medical service qualities of general hospital could be six components. Image of hospital, medical facilities, and attitude of medical staff are positively related to patient satisfaction and reuse intention. Conclusion: This study offers practical implications to relevant managers, at the same time it has limitations to be solved through additional study in future.

Methodology: The data were collected from 312 workers of 3 general hospitals using standardized questionnaires. Personality types were examined using the enneagram, and job satisfaction was analyzed according to personality 9 types. Findings: In all personality types, it was found that communication had the most important influence on job satisfaction. In 1 type, reward system, working environment·welfare, and communication had a significant positive(+) effect on job satisfaction. In 7, 9 types, empowerment and communication had a significant positive influence on job satisfaction.
