This project is to establish an annex clinic center under 5 floors with gross floor area of 3,000 Pyeong behind existing Chosun university Hospital main building with 600 beds. The goal of the design is connecting the new clinic center with the existing main building and completing a combined hospital that has synergy effects. Given the old condition of the hospital and characteristics of the ground, I tried to embody the image of Medical Pulse, which is very alive with strong pulse, and suggest vision of 21st century hospital. First, one main entrance as a combined hospital. For optimum access and functions, I used the entrance of existing building as the only main entrance of new combined hospital, rearrange the road in front of the main building and improve traffic system, and upgrade the image and function of combined main entrance by planning new atrium united robby that makes link to the main building easier. Second, section planning considering the optimum functions and convenience. I established 4 floors linking functionally with the existing building, minimized vertical traffic line, and enhanced convenience through barrier free environment, which is a horizontal traffic line without barriers, crucial to hospital. Third, combined zoning generating synergy effects. I linked sterilizing room with logistics center by operating room and service bridge, and arranged central treatment department horizontally, Also, by horizontally arranging cancer center and department of nuclear medicine close with PET and cyclotron center, I established identity of specialized departments.

A topology optimization method for phononic crystals is developed for the design of sound barriers, using the level set approach. Given a frequency and an incident wave to the phononic crystals, an optimal shape of periodic inclusions is found by minimizing the norm of transmittance. In a sound field including scattering bodies, an acoustic wave can be refracted on the obstacle boundaries, which enables to control acoustic performance by taking the shape of inclusions as the design variables. In this research, we consider a layered structure which is composed of inclusions arranged periodically in horizontal direction while finite inclusions are distributed in vertical direction. Due to the periodicity of inclusions, a unit cell can be considered to analyze the wave propagation together with proper boundary conditions which are imposed on the left and right edges of the unit cell using the Bloch theorem. The boundary conditions for the lower and the upper boundaries of unit cell are described by impedance matrices, which represent the transmission of waves between the layered structure and the semi-infinite external media. A level set method is employed to describe the topology and the shape of inclusions. In the level set method, the initial domain is kept fixed and its boundary is represented by an implicit moving boundary embedded in the level set function, which facilitates to handle complicated topological shape changes. Through several numerical examples, the applicability of the proposed method is demonstrated.

In this study, the stability and economic feasibility of a MSE (Mechanically stability earth) wall with a pre-cast concrete pacing panel was investigated for a standard section of highway. Based on the design criteria, the MSE walls of the panel type were designed considering the load conditions of the highway, such as the dead load of the concrete pavement, traffic load, and impact load of the barrier. The length of the ribbed metal strip was arranged at 0.9H according to the height of the MSE walls. Because the length of the reinforcement was set to 0.9H according to the height of the MSE wall, the external stability governed by the shape of the reinforced soil was not affected by the height increase. The factor of safety (FOS) for the bearing capacity was decreased drastically due to the increase in self-weight according to the height of the MSE wall. As a result of examining the internal stability according to the cohesive gravity method, the FOS of pullout was increased and the FOS of fracture was decreased. As the height of the MSEW wall increases, the horizontal earth pressure acting as an active force and the vertical earth pressure acting as a resistance force are increased together, so that the FOS of the pullout is increased. Because the long-term allowable tensile force of the ribbed metal strip is constant, the FOS of the fracture is decreased by only an increase in the horizontal earth pressure according to the height. The panel type MSE wall was more economical than the block type at all heights. Compared to the concrete retaining wall, it has excellent economic efficiency at a height of 5.0 m or more.
We analyzed the patent trends for whole drilling bits to reveal the main R&D directions, focusing on patents applied for and registered in Korea, the USA, Japan, and Europe. The technology was classified into two groups as a primary classification step (reaming systems and fixed systems), and into seven groups as a secondary classification step (sliding, odex, horizontal pivot, vertical pivot, concentric, eccentric, and etc.). A total of 33,614 patents were retrieved and 870 patents were selected for final effective analysis by data deduplication and filtering. A portfolio analysis using the correlation between the number of patents and the applicants for each patents revealed a sliding system as the key technology with greatest growth potential. From an analysis of the barriers to patents being granted, we emphasize the need to avoid similar topics existing patents or patent applications and to develop differential technology.
PURPOSES : This study is to develop a automate road mapping system using ARASEO(Automated Road Analysis and Safety Evaluation TOol) for road management. METHODS : The road survey van named ARASEO(Automated Road Analysis and Safety Evaluation TOol) was used to generate highway drawings for Korea National Road number 37 automatically. In order to generate the highway drawings for purpose of road management, it is required to acquired the information for highway alignment, road width and road facilities such as safety barrier and road sign. Therefore the survey van acquired and analyzed the road width, median and guardrail data using rear side laser sensor of ARASEO and recognized the traffic control sign and chevron sign using foreside camera images. Also the highway alignment which is the basic information for highway drawing can be analyzed by acquisition the every 1m positional and attitude data using GPU and IMU sensor and developed algorithm. Finally, in this research the CAD based drawing software was developed to draw highway drawing using the analysis result from ARASEO. RESULTS : This study showed the comparison result of the surveyed road width and drawing data. To make the drawing of the road, we made the Autocad ARX program witch run in CAD menu interface. CONCLUSIONS : Using this program we can create the road center line, every 500m horizontal and vertical ground plan drawing automatically.
Conductivity-temperature-depth (CTD) data obtained along a meridional section in the eastern tropical Pacific in July 2003 have been analyzed to identify various water masses, and to examine the hydrographic structure and zonal geostrophic currents in the upper 1000 m. Water mass analysis shows the existence of subtropical and intermediate waters, characterized by layers of subsurface salinity maximum and minimum, originating from both hemispheres of the Pacific. Vertical section of temperature in the upper 200 m shows the typical trough-ridge structure associated with the zonal current system for most of the tropical Pacific. Water with the lowest salinity of less than 33.6 was found in the upper 30 m between $8.5^{\circ}N$ and $10.5^{\circ}N$ in a boundary zone between the North Equatorial Current and North Equatorial Countercurrent. Temporal changes in water properties observed at $10.5^{\circ}N$ over a period of 9 days suggest both the local rainfall and horizontal advection is responsible for the presence of the low-salinity water. Development of a barrier layer was also observed at $10.5^{\circ}N$. In the North Equatorial Current region a local upwelling was observed at $15^{\circ}N$, which brings high salinity and cooler subtropical water to the sea surface. A band of countercurrent occurs in the upwelling region between $13^{\circ}N$ and $15^{\circ}N$.
In case of fire, vertically and intensively loaded rack warehouses are faced with a severe status due to the rapid increase in fires. In this regard, there have been trials to prevent fires from spreading by applying fire extinguishing systems, such as ESFR and In-Rack Sprinklers, vertical and horizontal barriers, etc.; however, it is difficult to calculate and design proper fire extinguishing systems caused by various composition conditions, such as the size and loading density of the rack, types of loading commodities, etc. Therefore, in this study, a standard rack was manufactured, incorporating a rack warehouse in Korea by site investigations, surveys, etc. In addition, a full scale fire test was executed to check the fire characteristics depending on the conditions of the ignition points. As a result, the extracted fire spread speed is expected to be utilized as a reference for performance comparisons of the fire extinguishing systems to be developed and applied in the future.
In this study for the prosthesis of the spatial and directional sensation for the blind, an ultrasonic scale system and an electronic compass system were developed. The ultrasonic scale utilizes 40 ㎑ sound for the detection of distance to the barrier and the spatial information is transferred to the blind by various sound interval, which is proportional to the distance. The electronic compass utilizes a magnetoresistor bridge for the detection of the magnetic field strength of earth in horizontal plane. The information for the direction of the earth's north is transferred by tactile stimuli by a vibrating motor band around upper head. Detection distance of the ultrasonic scale is ranged from 0.065 to 3.26 meters, and the detection angle resolution of the electronic compass is about 22.5 degrees. The integrated system of the ultrasonic scale and the electronic compass was developed. Distance information is converted to the location of the tactile stimulation along the clockwise direction by a vibrating motor according to the distance installed around upper head of the blind. The intent of this article is to provide an practical prosthetic tool of spatial and directional sensation for the blind. Daily practice of this system will improve the usefulness of this system.

This paper presented as follows results of laboratory model tests with various shaped footings on soil bed reinforced with the strips on the base of behaviour of soil structure according to the loads and triaxial test results reinforced with geotextiles. Their parameters studied were the effects on the bearing capacity of a footing of the first layer of reinforcement, horizontal and vertical spacing of layers, number of layers, tensile strength of reinforcement and iclination load to the vertical 1.Depending on the strip arrangement, ultimate bearing capacity values could be more improved than urreinforced soil and the failure of soil was that the soil structure was transfered from the macrospace to microspase and its arrangement, from edge to edge to face to face. 2.The reinforcement was produced the reinforcing effects due to controlling the value of factor of one and permeable reinforcement was never a barrier of drainage condition. 3.Strength ratio was decreased as a linear shape according to increment of saturation degree of soil used even though at the lower strength ratio, the value of M-factor was rot influenced on the strength ratio but impermeable reinforcement decreased the strength of bearing capacity. 4.Ultimate bearing capacity under the plane-strain condition was appeared a little larger than triaxial or the other theoretical formulars and the circular footing more effective. 5.The maximum reinforcing effects were obtained at U I B=o.5, B / B=3 and N=3, when over that limit only acting as a anchor, and same strength of fabric appeared larger reinforcing effects compared to the thinner one. 6.As the LDR increased, more and more BCR occurred and there was appeared a block action below Z / B=O.5, but over the value, decrement of BCR was shown linear relation, and no effects above one. 7.The coefficient of the inclination was shown of minimum at the three layers of fabrics, but the value of H / B related to the ultimate load was decreased as increment of inclination degree, even though over the value of 4.5 there wasn't expected to the reinforcing effects As a consequence of the effects on load inclination, the degree of inclination of 15 per cent was decreased the bearing capacity of 70 per cent but irnproved the effects of 45 per cent through the insertion of geotextile.

Copper via filling is the important factor in 3-D stacking interconnection of SiP (system in package). As the packaging density is getting higher, the size of via is getting smaller. When DC electroplating is applied, a defect-free hole cannot be obtained in a small size via hole. To prevent the defects in holes, pulse and pulse reverse current was applied in copper via filling. The holes, $20\and\;50{\mu}m$ in diameter and $100{\sim}190\;{\mu}m$ in height. The holes were prepared by DRIE method. Ta was sputtered for copper diffusion barrier followed by copper seed layer IMP sputtering. Via specimen were filled by DC, pulse and pulse-reverse current electroplating methods. The effects of additives and current types on copper deposits were investigated. Vertical and horizontal cross section of via were observed by SEM to find the defects in via. When pulse-reverse electroplating method was used, defect free via were successfully obtained.
