The meaning of foodservice industry is various but especially its most important one contains a service industry. And so, foodservice industry should provide very impressive service to customers. if workers don't satisfy themselves at the works, they can not give a high qualifying service to the customers. Therefore, this study showed how the worker's satisfactory degree depending on working type effects on the growth of foodservice industry. The conclusions by questionnaires to workers who have worked as both a regular and a contract employment at Special First Degree Hotels in Seoul are followings. Very interestingly, the proportion of satisfying degree for the workers as regular is 34.94% but the degree for workers as contract is 36.8%. The reason is that the average age of regular workers is high and they have their family to support and they have changed their job more often than the others. They can express their problems through a labor union but the part of solution is very small. It must cause to decrease satisfying degree. The workers generally satisfied to their senior employers. It means that the negative image of higher-ups in the past has been changed. It is a serious problem that the proportion of satisfaction degree remains 30%. The managements must perceive the fact that the increase ratio of contract workers does not make low quality of service. They should know that the satisfaction degree of regular workers is lower than contract ones. In order to increase the satisfaction degree, if the managements can find out the way of taking over their authority and giving a motive, they can reduce the ratio of occupation change and nonattendance. And also they can promote the productivity in foodservice industry and in conclusion, the foodservice industry will have glowed very successfully in the near future.
A green tea used in this experiment was cultivated at Bosung (Chonnam) and purchased from a domestic market. The extract at 5$0^{\circ}C$ water from the powder of green tea partitioned with chloroform and ethyl acetate. The resulting solution was further purified with a chromatographic column (4.6$\times$250 mm, 15${\mu}{\textrm}{m}$, Lichrospher 100RP-18). Finally separation was achieved on a $\mu$-Bondapak $C_18$(3.9$\times$300mm, 10${\mu}{\textrm}{m}$) column. The elution order of the catechin compounds contained in the green tea was EGC(Epigallocatechin, C(catechin), EC(Epicatechin), EGCG(Epigallocatechin Gallate) and ECG(Epicatechin Gallate). From the experimental results the mobile phase for isolating EGCG from the extract consisted of 0.1% acetic acid in water/acetonitrile, 87/13%(v/v). The flow rate of mobile phase was 1.0 $m\ell$/min, and UV wavelength was fixed at 280 nm. 121.3 mg of EGCG, higher than 98% of purity, was obtained from 5 g of dry green tea.

Adsorption characteristics of Ni(II), Co(II) and Ag(I) ions on the Amberite IRN 77 cation exchange resin have been studied to suggest the guide-line for the optimum operation of demineralization process in primary coolant system during the shut-down period of pressurized water reactor(PWR). The adsorption mechanism of each metal ion, Ni(II), Co(II) or Ag(I) ion, on a cation exchange resin was well coincided with Langmuir isotherm. The adsorption and treatment capacities of $H^+$-form resin were higher than those of $Li^+$-form resin. In the continuous ion exchange process for the solution of multi-component system, the selectivity of the resin was in increasing order of Ni(II)${\approx}$Co(II)>Ag(I). In addition, the increase of the flow rate decreased the treatment capacity of the resin as well as the slope of the breakthrough curve.

In order to improve the portability of basic absorbents monoethanolamine (MEA) and glycine (Gly), both were supported on microporous activated carbon (AC). Chemical modification by alkali-metal ion exchange (of Li, Na, K) was carried out on Gly-based absorbents. All supported absorbents were subjected to $CO_2$ absorption capacity (pure $CO_2$) and selectivity (indoor level) tests. Textural and chemical characterizations were carried out on test sorbents. All impregnation brought about significant reduction of specific surface area and microporosity of the adsorbent Depreciation in the textural properties was found to result to reduction in pure $CO_2$ sorption. Contrarily, low-level $CO_2$ removal capacity was enhanced as the absorbent dosage increases, resulting in supported 5 molar MEA in methanol solution. Adsorption capacities were improved from 0.016 and 0.8 in raw ACs to 1.065 mmol/g for MEA's. Surface chemistry via X-ray photoelectron spectroscopy (XPS) of the supported sorbents showed the presence of amine, pyrrole and quaternary-N. In reducing sequence of potency, pyridine, amine and pyrrolic-N were noticed to contribute significantly to $CO_2$ selective adsorption. Furthermore, the adsorption isotherm study confirms the presence of various SNGs heterogeneously distributed on AC. The adsorption mechanism of the present AC adsorbents favored Freundlich and Langmuir isotherm at lower and higher $CO_2$ concentrations respectively.

The purpose of this study is to present the basic materials of a developmental counterplan by assessing prevalence of musculoskeletal symptoms and characteristics of work-related ergonomic risk factors. The prevalence of musculoskeletal symptoms of 64 vineyard workers was investigated by using a self-reported questionnaire. And the vineyard workers' tasks were also collected and analyzed during 9-month period by observing and videotaping methods to identify the ergonomic risk factors. The prevalence rate of musculoskeletal symptoms of female(84.4%) was much higher than that of male(62.5%) and a total prevalence rate was 73.4%. There was no different prevalence of musculoskeletal symptoms between age over 60 years and under 60 years. The prevalence rates of musculoskeletal complaints for each body part were 48.4%, 42.2%, and 35.9% for the wrist, legs/knee, and shoulder, respectively. In postural risk analysis, 7 works(REBA score) represented the high risk tasks such as delivering harvest boxed(12), picking cluster(11) and so on. The main works(exposure score) were orderly ranked as picking cluster(1590), pruning branch(388), and cluster thinning(327). The risk factors of vineyard work were identified as follows: shoulder flexion(${\geq}45^{\circ}$), wrist Flex./Ext.(${\geq}15^{\circ}$), hand force(power/pinch-grip), and prolonged standing(${\geq}4hr$). The engineering solutions including an improvement of hand tools, working process, and working environment should be applied to the high risky tasks in order to resolve the ergonomic problems. The administrative solutions such as improving a distribution of resting time, an exercise cure, an early recognition of symptoms and rehabilitation might be another solution for reducing musculoskeletal symptoms in vineyard workers.
High strength steels have been continually being developed to improve in fuel economy in automotive and ensure safety of passengers. New bonding and welding methods have been required for improving weldability on high strength steels. In this study, resistance spot welding and Weld-bond with nugget diameters of 4.0mm, 5.0mm, 6.0mm and 7.0mm were produced and tested, respectively. In order to confirm the effect of nugget diameters on tensile shear characteristic of the Weld-bond, tensile shear characteristics of Weld-bond were compared with those of resistance spot welding and adhesive bonding. Peak load of Weld-bond were increased as the nugget diameter increases. After appearing maximum peak load continuous fracture followed with second peak owing to load being carried by resistance spot weldment. Fracture modes of the adhesive layer in Weld-bond fractures were represented by mixed fracture mode, which are cohesive failure on adhesive part and button failure at resistance spot welds. The results showed that the tensile shear properties can be improved by applying Weld-bond on TRIP steel, and more apparent with nugget diameter higher than 5${\surd}$t.
Fermented feed using rice, barley, wheat, and defatted rice brans as the raw materials were prepared by 3 species of wild yeasts which were selected among 35 strains of yeasts isolated, and their analytical values were examined. The results were as follows : 1. The three yeasts were identified as H.amomala var. anomala (No.225), Candida utilis (No.400), and Irpex-cellulase(consors) (no.403-A). 2. The optimum pH, and sugar concentration of these yeasts in liquid culture were pH 5.0 and Bllg. 10.deg. each. The optimum temperature was 30.deg.C for No.225 and No.403-A, 25.deg.C for No.400. The No.225 and No.403-A grow at higher temperature than 37.deg.C and 40.deg.C each. 3. The No.225 yeast had a large vegetative cell and strong sugar fermentability. The No.225 and 403-A could assimilate cellobiose, xylose, $KNO_2$ and $KNO_3$. These properties were fit for bran fermentation. 4. The No.403-A microorganism was a yeast-like microbe and showed cellulase activity which might help the propagation of other yeasts on the brans. 5. The analytical data of fermented feed indicated the following order of usable value ; rice-wheat-barley bran 4:4:2, rice-wheat bran 5:5, rice-barley bran 5:5, rice-defatted rice bran 5:5. 6. the fermented feed were prepared by mixing brans, 0.3% ammonium sulfate and 5%(w/w) inoculum of yeast suspension in 4% glucose solution. Water content 70-80%, fermentation temperature 25-30.deg.C, and fermentation time 2-3 days were given. 7. The rice-wheat bran 5:5 and rice-barley bran 5:5 fermented feed showed 11, 17-11.45% protein increase, and the rice-barley-wheat bran 4:4:2 and rice-defatted bran 5:5 showed 3.75-6.03% protein increase. 8. The fermented feed prepared in this experiment by the author might work as a nutritive feed using microbial cell body, enzymes produced by microbes and other microbial cell constituents.
The material factors influencing the sound absorption of the polyurethane foam were investigated with FT-IR, small-angle X-ray scattering (SAXS), and dynamic mechanical thermal analyzer (DMTA). The measurements were performed using the samples which had a similar cell structure but different absorption coefficients. It was found that the ability of the sound absorption of the polyurethane foams was closely related to the damping behavior over the transition range. In order to confirm the use of the low monol polyol (LMP) in high-performance applications, the polyurethanes based on LMP and polypropylene oxide polyol (PPG) were prepared by the solution polymerization method. The microstructure and the physical properties of these polyurethanes were compared. The PPG-based polyurethane showed a higher level of the phase-separated structure because the considerable amount of monol presented in PPG made a contribution to the increased chain mobility. However the short chains formed due to the monol species deteriorated the damping property. As a result, the LMP-based polyurethane showed the superior damping behavior as compared with the PPG-based one.
It is necessary to measure the length of a root canal in order to attain a satisfactory prognosis after root canal therapy. There are several methods for determining root canal length, such as tactile sensation by the dental practitioner, the utilization of x-ray film, and electronic root canal measurement. Among these, the electrical measurement methods, in which the impedence between the oral mucous membrane and periodontal membrane is determined, have advantages of simplicity and accuracy. During root canal treatment, the root canal contains a solution of high electrical conductivity such as pus, blood, sodium hypochlorite and so on. Recently a new electronic root canal measurement device of frequency-dependent type has been developed, which is capable of measuring the length of root canal under moist conditions. Endex and Root ZX, which are frequency-dependent type, were evaluated for accuracy of measuring root canal length in vivo by stereomicroscope. The result were as follows ; 1. 82.5% of Endex and 87.5% of Root ZX measured in the range of ${\pm}0.5$ mm from the apical foramen and both showed 57.5 % in the range of 0.1 mm to 0.5 mm. 2. Endex showed significantly higher accuracy in vital teeth than nonvital teeth(p<0.05). But in case of Root ZX, there was no significant difference between vital and nonvital teeth. 3. As a result of this study, there was no significant difference in accuracy between Endex and Root ZX, and both devices showed file passes the apical foramen in more than half of the cases, and it is thought that this must be considered clinically.

For the mass production of plug seedlings in cultivar ‘Dejima’ potato (Solanum tuberosum L.) the optimal apical cutting diameter for rooting and rapid multiplication of stem cuttings in hydroponics were determined. In addition, the best planting date was predicted to increase tuber yield of plug seedlings at fall cropping in Cheju-Do, Korea. Days to initial rooting decreased as the cutting diameter was reduced. Plant height, leaf number, root length and root weight per plant were favorable as the cutting diameter was small. The ideal cutting diameter was 1-2 mm in this experiment. In the hydroponic cultures, the Japanese standard (JS) nutrient solution was the most effective for multiplication of stem cuttings. It was able to propagate more than 20 times a month from a single mother plant. Viability of plants, which were derived from plug seedlings using stem cuttings, was excellent when transplanted to the field. The number of tubers and tuber yield in both of the plug seedlings and seed potato planting plots were high when planted on 25 August. The number and yield were reduced when planted on 15 August, 5 September and 15 September. The degree of decrease of tuber yield in the plug seedling planting plot however, was lower than that of seed potatoes when the planting date was late. In the case of small tubers (under 30 g), the number of tubers and tuber yield were evidently increased in the seed potato tuber planting plot; the yield of large tuber (over 80g) in the plug seedling planting plot was higher than that of the seed potato. The total tuber yield per plant in the plug seedling planting plot was less than that of the seed potato; therefore, in order to increase tuber yield it was necessary to increase field plant density.
