In this study, the technical level and competence of Chungbuk region manufactures were diagnosed and implications for efficiency improvement of cooperation with local universities were derived. The results are as follow. First, in Chungbuk area, 75% of the skilled workers are medium-skilled and high skilled workers. And the life cycle of production products was found to have entered middle/old age. In addition, the industries were overestimating its technology capabilities, including marketing and sales technology, and management technology. Therefore, local universities should develop differentiated program such as technology transfer and commercialization support so that companies can nurture new industries and it is necessary to improve understanding of reality and future prediction ability through various education and seminars. Second, universities in Chungbuk province have failed to meet the practical demands of industry by providing general educational programs such as lifelong education curriculum, rather than the practical training required by industry. First of all, industries needed the practical training programs such as human resource empowerment, technical education and workers' retraining for local industry development. In addition, industries were expected to provide relevant knowledge and infrastructure such as testing, analysis, participation in technology development such as commissioning and joint research. Therefore, universities should prepare customized Industry-Academia Cooperation Programs through industry demand survey in planning. Also, it is necessary to establish various connection points with industry to ensure that industry-academia cooperation will continue and achieve results. Third, the technology of the industries in Chungbuk province was found to be very unrelated to the next generation regional strategic industries. This is not shared vision between industry and local government, Industry-Academia Cooperation Programs will serve as a platform to organize various community entities. Universities will be able to play a key role in between industries and local governments.
First principle-based modeling studies have been performed to improve the heat exchange efficiency of ORV and optimize operation, but the heat transfer coefficient of ORV is an irregular system according to time and location, and it undergoes a complex modeling process. In this study, FNN, LSTM, and AutoML-based modeling were performed to confirm the effectiveness of data-based modeling for complex systems. The prediction accuracy indicated high performance in the order of LSTM > AutoML > FNN in MSE. The performance of AutoML, an automatic design method for machine learning models, was superior to developed FNN, and the total time required for model development was 1/15 compared to LSTM, showing the possibility of using AutoML. The prediction of NG and seawater discharged temperatures using LSTM and AutoML showed an error of less than 0.5K. Using the predictive model, real-time optimization of the amount of LNG vaporized that can be processed using ORV in winter is performed, confirming that up to 23.5% of LNG can be additionally processed, and an ORV optimal operation guideline based on the developed dynamic prediction model was presented.

The use of flames is essential in cutting, bending, and welding steel during a ship's construction process. While acetylene fuel is commonly used in steel cutting and the manufacturing process in shipyards, the use of propane as an alternative fuel has recently been increasing, due to the lower risk of explosion and propane's relatively low calorific value. However, propane fuel has a relatively slow processing speed and high slag generation frequency, thereby resulting in poor quality. Propylene is another alternative fuel, which has an excellent calorific value. It is expected to gain wider use because of its potential to improve the quality, productivity, and efficiency of steel processing. In this study, the combustion characteristics of propane and propylene fuel during steel plate processing were analyzed and compared. The reduction of greenhouse gases and other harmful gases when using propylene flame was experimentally verified by analyzing the gases emitted during the process. Heat distribution and tensile tests were also performed to investigate the effects of heat input, according to processing fuel used, on the mechanical strength of the marine steel. The results showed that when propylene was used, the temperature was more evenly distributed than when propane fuel was used. Moreover, the mechanical tests showed that when using propylene, there was no decrease in tensile strength, but the strain showed a tendency to decrease. Based on the study results, it is recommended that propylene be used in steel processing and the cutting process in actual shipyards in the future. Additionally, more analysis and supplementary research should be conducted on problems that may occur.
It has been proven through many previous researches that the pretrained language model with a large corpus helps improve performance in various natural language processing tasks. However, there is a limit to building a large-capacity corpus for training in a language environment where resources are scarce. Using the Cross-lingual Post-Training (XPT) method, we analyze the method's efficiency in Korean, which is a low resource language. XPT selectively reuses the English pretrained language model parameters, which is a high resource and uses an adaptation layer to learn the relationship between the two languages. This confirmed that only a small amount of the target language dataset in the relationship extraction shows better performance than the target pretrained language model. In addition, we analyze the characteristics of each model on the Korean language model and the Korean multilingual model disclosed by domestic and foreign researchers and companies.
Rapid change in the technological environment of marine transportation and the development of the ocean shipping industry have fostered a revolution in the port system. This in turn has caused major changes in the function and use of port in Korea. Aside from this. Mokpo Port, however continues to decline, because the existing port facilities and related subsystem are already obsolete with no chance of regaining operational effectiveness and treatment for proper implementation. Although a few studies have been done on the Mokpo Port, has not been found, any reseach for the analytical approach to the transportation system of it. This paper aims to make an extensive analysis of the physical distribution system in Mokpo Port focusing on the coordination of subsystems such as navigational aids system, quay handling and transfer system, storage system and inland transport system. The base of introduced simulation tool here is the queueing theory. The overall findings are as follows; 1. Among those vessels called at Mokpo Port in 1994, the average size of oceangoing vessels is 4,922.1 G/T, and the domestic is 317.8 G/T. The average arrival interval and service time of the domestic vessels are 6.0 hours and 24.1 hours respectively marking the berth occupation rate over 100%. Those for oceangoing vessels are 34.5 hours, 120.0 hours and 37.2%. In order to maintainin the berth occupation rate to 70% the capacity considering the 1994 of domestic piers must be extended to 145% and oceangoing vessels must be increased to 165% year called. 2. The capacity of approaching channel is enough to handle the total traffic volume. 3. Tugs are sufficiently being provided to handle all ships requiring their services 4. The capacity of storage and inland transportation systems are sufficient to handle the throughput and the yard stroage utilization rate of No.1 $\cdots$ No.5 is 4.5% and No.6 1S 30% of 1993's. 5. The utilization rate of LLc(Level Looping Crane) and PNT(PNeumaTic) are 2.7% and 18.8%, respectively. Practical solution and proposal for improvement of Transportation System in Mokpo Port are as follows; 1. To avoid the congestion in domestic pier introduction of a new port operation system is necessary allowing the domestic vessel to use the oceangoing pier. 2. To establish the port management information system to improve the efficiency of port operation. 3. To build a new storage system for high valued cargos including modernization of the present storage and handling system. 4. To insure the safety of navigation in approaching channel, The Vessel Traffic System including separation scheme is introduced. 5. To interest enormously on public relation to ship owner's association, shippers and consignees by showing that they can save cost and ship turnaround time in order to promote the call to Mokpo Port. At last, to be strategically change the function of Mokpo Port to the Leisure, Fishing & Ferry as well as Maritime port.
Daemadeung, located in the estuary of the Nakdong River, is formed by sand dunes and possesses well-developed intertidal flats. This study aimed to investigate the habitat of benthic microalgae, photosynthetic pigments, and photosynthetic efficiency in the intertidal flats of Daemadeung from January to December 2011. The inorganic nitrogen content in the sediment pore water was primarily composed of ammonium, while nitrate + nitrite was dominant in the upper layer water. The concentration of chlorophyll a and fucoxanthin in the sediment surface was significantly higher than the mean of all the sediment layer. The average Fv/Fm of benthic microalgae during the entire survey period was 0.52±0.03, with the highest value (0.61±0.08) observed in February. The rETRmax showed a seasonal trend, being high from spring to early autumn (April to October) and low from winter to early spring (January to March, November, December), with the highest value (153.05±2.30 µmol electrons m-2 s-1) in July and the lowest (38.49±5.17 µmol electrons m-2 s-1) in January. The average Fv/Fm of diurnal microalgae was 0.48±0.03, with the highest value (0.61±0.08) observed at noon. The rETRmax showed a highest peak at noon (54.24±11.35 µmol electrons m-2 s-1) and reached its lowest point at 16:00 (26.17±4.75 µmol electrons m-2 s-1). These findings suggest that the productivity of benthic microalgae varies significantly depending on the survey time and sediment depth. Therefore, to quantify the productivity of benthic microalgae using Diving-PAM, surveys should be conducted based on tidal conditions, and simultaneous pigment analysis of sediment layers should also be performed.

Due to the many advantages including low price, low power consumption, and miniaturization, the CMOS camera has been utilized in many applications, including mobile phones, the automotive industry, medical sciences and sensoring, robotic controls, and research in the security field. In particular, the 360 degree omni-directional camera when utilized in multi-camera applications has displayed issues of software nature, interface communication management, delays, and a complicated image display control. Other issues include energy management problems, and miniaturization of a multi-camera in the hardware field. Traditional CMOS camera systems are comprised of an embedded system that consists of a high-performance MCU enabling a camera to send and receive images and a multi-layer system similar to an individual control system that consists of the camera's high performance Micro Controller Unit. We proposed the SL-AVS (Small Size/Low power Around-View System) to be able to control a camera while collecting image data using a high speed synchronization technique on the foundation of a single layer low performance MCU. It is an initial model of the omni-directional camera that takes images from a 360 view drawing from several CMOS camera utilizing a 110 degree view. We then connected a single MCU with four low-power CMOS cameras and implemented controls that include synchronization, controlling, and transmit/receive functions of individual camera compared with the traditional system. The synchronization of the respective cameras were controlled and then memorized by handling each interrupt through the MCU. We were able to improve the efficiency of data transmission that minimizes re-synchronization amongst a target, the CMOS camera, and the MCU. Further, depending on the choice of users, respective or groups of images divided into 4 domains were then provided with a target. We finally analyzed and compared the performance of the developed camera system including the synchronization and time of data transfer and image data loss, etc.

Nowadays water shortage is becoming one of the biggest problems in the Korea. Many different methods are developed for conservation of water. Soil water management has become the most indispensable factor for augmenting the crop productivity especially on soybean (Glycine max L.) because of their high susceptibility to both water stress and water logging at various growth stages. The farmers have been using irrigation techniques through manual control which farmers irrigate lands at regular intervals. Automatic irrigation systems are convenient, especially for those who need to travel. If automatic irrigation systems are installed and programmed properly, they can even save you money and help in water conservation. Automatic irrigation systems can be programmed to provide automatic irrigation to the plants which helps in saving money and water and to discharge more precise amounts of water in a targeted area, which promotes water conservation. The objective of this study was to determine the possible effect of automatic irrigation systems based on soil moisture on soybean growth. This experiment was conducted on an upland field with sandy loam soils in Department of Southern Area Crop, NICS, RDA. The study had three different irrigation methods; sprinkle irrigation (SI), surface drip irrigation (SDI) and fountain irrigation (FI). SI was installed at spacing of $7{\times}7m$ and $1.8m^3/hr$ as square for per irrigation plot, a lateral pipe of SDI was laid down to 1.2 m row spacing with $2.3L\;h^{-1}$ discharge rate, the distance between laterals was 20 cm spacing between drippers and FI was laid down in 3m interval as square for per irrigation plot. Soybean (Daewon) cultivar was sown in the June $20^{th}$, 2016, planted in 2 rows of apart in 1.2 m wide rows and distance between hills was 20 cm. All agronomic practices were done as the recommended cultivation. This automatic irrigation system had valves to turn irrigation on/off easily by automated controller, solenoids and moisture sensor which were set the reference level as available soil moisture levels of 30% at 10cm depth. The efficiency of applied irrigation was obtained by dividing the total water stored in the effective root zone to the applied irrigation water. Results showed that seasonal applied irrigation water amounts were $60.4ton\;10a^{-1}$ (SI), $47.3ton\;10a^{-1}$ (SDI) and $92.6 ton\;10a^{-1}$ (FI), respectively. The most significant advantage of SDI system was that water was supplied near the root zone of plants drip by drip. This system saved a large quantity of water by 27.5% and 95.6% compared to SI, FI system. The average soybean yield was significantly affected by different irrigation methods. The soybean yield by different irrigation methods were $309.7kg\;10a^{-1}$ from SDI $282.2kg\;10a^{-1}$ from SI, $289.4kg\;10a^{-1}$ from FI, and $206.3kg\;10a^{-1}$ from control, respectively. SDI resulted in increase of soybean yield by 50.1%, 7.0% 9.8% compared to non-irrigation (control), FI and SI, respectively. Therefore, the automatic irrigation system supplied water only when the soil moisture in the soil went below the reference. Due to the direct transfer of water to the roots water conservation took place and also helped to maintain the moisture to soil ratio at the root zone constant. Thus the system is efficient and compatible to changing environment. The automatic irrigation system provides with several benefits and can operate with less manpower. In conclusion, improving automatic irrigation system can contribute greatly to reducing production costs of crops and making the industry more competitive and sustainable.
To find out the power tiller's travel and tractive characteristics on the general slope land, the tractive p:nver transmitting system was divided into the internal an,~ external power transmission systems. The performance of power tiller's engine which is the initial unit of internal transmission system was tested. In addition, the mathematical model for the tractive force of driving wheel which is the initial unit of external transmission system, was derived by energy and force balance. An analytical solution of performed for tractive forces was determined by use of the model through the digital computer programme. To justify the reliability of the theoretical value, the draft force was measured by the strain gauge system on the general slope land and compared with theoretical values. The results of the analytical and experimental performance of power tiller on the field may be summarized as follows; (1) The mathematical equation of rolIing resistance was derived as $$Rh=\frac {W_z-AC \[1+ \frac{sl}{K} \(\varrho ^{-\frac{sl}{K}-1\)\] sin\theta_1}} {tan\phi \[1+ \frac{sl}{K} \(\varrho ^{-\frac{sl}{K}-1\)\]+\frac{tan\theta_1}{1}$$ and angle of rolling resistance as $$\theta _1 - tan^1\[ \frac {2T(AcrS_0 - T)+\sqrt (T-AcrS_0)^2(2T)^2-4(T^2-W_2^2r^2)\times (T-AcrS_0)^2 W_z^2r^2S_0^2tan^2\phi} {2(T^2-W_z^2r^2)S_0tan\phi}\] $$and the equation of frft force was derived as$$P=(AC+Rtan\phi)\[1+ \frac{sl}{K} \(\varrho ^{-\frac{sl}{K}-1\)\]cos\phi_1 \ulcorner \frac {W_z \ulcorner{AC\[ [1+ \frac{sl}{K} \(\varrho ^{-\frac{sl}{K}-1\)\]sin\phi_1 {tan\phi[1+ \frac{sl}{K} \(\varrho ^{-\frac{sl}{K}-1\]+ \frac {tan\phi_1} { 1} \ulcorner W_1sin\alpha $$The slip coefficient K in these equations was fitted to approximately 1. 5 on the level lands and 2 on the slope land. (2) The coefficient of rolling resistance Rn was increased with increasing slip percent 5 and did not influenced by the angle of slope land. The angle of rolling resistance Ol was increasing sinkage Z of driving wheel. The value of Ol was found to be within the limits of Ol =2\ulcorner "'16\ulcorner. (3) The vertical weight transfered to power tiller on general slope land can be estim ated by use of th~ derived equation: $$R_pz= \frac {\sum_{i=1}^{4}{W_i}} {l_T} { (l_T-l) cos\alpha cos\beta \ulcorner \bar(h) sin \alpha - W_1 cos\alpha cos\beta$$The vertical transfer weight $R_pz$ was decreased with increasing the angle of slope land. The ratio of weight difference of right and left driving wheel on slop eland,$\lambda= \frac { {W_L_Z} - {W_R_Z}} {W_Z} $, was increased from ,$\lambda$=0 to$\lambda$=0.4 with increasing the angle of side slope land ($\beta = 0^\circ~20^\circ) (4) In case of no draft resistance, the difference between the travelling velocities on the level and the slope land was very small to give 0.5m/sec, in which the travelling velocity on the general slope land was decreased in curvilinear trend as the draft load increased. The decreasing rate of travelling velocity by the increase of side slope angle was less than that by the increase of hill slope angle a, (5) Rate of side slip by the side slope angle was defined as $ S_r=\frac {S_s}{l_s} \times$ 100( %), and the rate of side slip of the low travelling velocity was larger than that of the high travelling velocity. (6) Draft forces of power tiller did not affect by the angular velocity of driving wheel, and maximum draft coefficient occurred at slip percent of S=60% and the maximum draft power efficiency occurred at slip percent of S=30%. The maximum draft coefficient occurred at slip percent of S=60% on the side slope land, and the draft coefficent was nearly constant regardless of the side slope angle on the hill slope land. The maximum draft coefficient occurred at slip perecent of S=65% and it was decreased with increasing hill slope angle $\alpha$. The maximum draft power efficiency occurred at S=30 % on the general slope land. Therefore, it would be reasonable to have the draft operation at slip percent of S=30% on the general slope land. (7) The portions of the power supplied by the engine of the power tiller which were used as the source of draft power were 46.7% on the concrete road, 26.7% on the level land, and 13~20%; on the general slope land ($\alpha = O~ 15^\circ ,\beta = 0 ~ 10^\circ$) , respectively. Therefore, it may be desirable to develope the new mechanism of the external pO'wer transmitting system for the general slope land to improved its performance.l slope land to improved its performance.
