This study explores manufacturing technology and basic properties of high strength cement composites at 2,000kg/㎥ of specific weight. It is suggested that lightweight-high strength cement composites can be produced by substituting silica sand in ulta-high performance concrete mixture with lightweight materials such as solid bubbles and lightweight fine aggregates. The 28-day compressive strengths of cement composites with solid bubbles were from 116MPa to 141MPa at below 2.0g/㎤ of unit density while the cement composites with lightweight aggregates possessed lower compressive strength and higher unit density. The specific weight calculated from mixture proportions did not have significant difference with unit density of hardened cement composites, indicating that unit density of hardened cement composites can be estimated from the specific weight in mixture proportions.

When SCP (Sand Compaction Pile) is used in the improvement of soft ground, some problems like the difficulty of vertical construction and other construction difficulties due to the use of high pressure are encountered, There is a possibility that the strength parameters used in the design may be different with those obtained from the investigation of the quality variation with depth for the irregular, then the section may be not a sand pile but a combination of sand and clay. The mixture ratio concept is used, it is defined as the quantity of sand corresponding to the replacement ratio. Using this concept, the strength parameter relationship of the replacement and mixture ratio was determined. The use of these parameters in the design of SCP is most appropriate.
This is to show some basic data for introducing both circulated aggregate and recycled powder producing waste concrete. Standard-mixing design for 24MPa has been basically used and added and replaced normal aggregate with recycled powder made of waste concrete. In addition, polycarboxylate high-range water reducing agent has been used because recycled powder is missing adhesive strength and it is not compare with cement's adhesive strength. Compressive strength with powder mixture of 2%, 4%, 6%, 8%, and 10% has been decreased down to 80% of normal concrete material strength without recycled powder mixture. This result has same decreasing proportion to tensile strength of the material. Resistant capacity change of beam varying with recycled powder mixture has been decreased down to 60% of normal concrete bean capacity, while there are 80% decrease of material strength. But strength and capacity change has same consistent decrease ratio. It is found that recycled powder with approximately 15% unit concrete volume can be replaced with cement in reasonable admixture mixing condition.

It is very desirable that a mixture gas possessing excellent insulation performance is suggested for insulation on increasing high voltage. This paper proposes a $SF_6$ mixture gas based on the factors including dielectric strength, environmental impact and economic feasibility of manufacture for the insulation in eco-friendly power equipment. A suitable-$SF_6$ content was determined to improve the dielectric strength in $N_2$ and Dry Air. The examination results of the factors revealed that a $SF_6$/Dry Air mixture gas possessing the $SF_6$ content was more appropriate than a $SF_6/N_2$ mixture gas to the eco-friendly power equipment. In addition to the selection of the suitable $SF_6$ mixture gas, insulation characteristics as a function of $SF_6$ content were described from electron-detachment mechanism.

In this study, the effects of water-to-binder (W/B) ratio and replacement ratio of blast furnace slag (BFS) on the compressive strength of concrete were first investigated to determine an optimized mixture. Then, using the optimized high-strength concrete (HSC) mixture, hooked steel fibers with various aspect ratios and volume fractions were used as additives and the resulting mechanical properties under compression and flexure were evaluated. Test results indicated that replacement ratios of BFS from 50 to 60% were optimal in maximizing the compressive strength of steam-cured HSCs with various W/B ratios. The use of hooked steel fibers with the aspect ratio of 80 led to better mechanical performance under both compression and flexure than those with the aspect ratio of 65. By increasing the fiber aspect ratio from 65 to 80, the hooked steel fiber volume content could be reduced by 0.25% without any significant deterioration of energy absorption capacity. Lastly, complete material models of steel-fiber-reinforced HSCs were proposed for structural design from Lee's model and the RILEM TC 162-TDF recommendations.

This study is to find out the tensile strength and bonding strength of VAE powder as a preliminary study for the application of the powder to the high strength concrete. The result of the study showed that the compressive strength decreases when more polymers is put into the concrete. On the other hand, it showed that the tensile strength and the bonding strength get improved when the more polymers are put into the concrete. Especially in case of the mixture for high strength concrete, it was found out that more strength is produced than the ordinary concrete.

The techniques related to ultra-high strength concrete(UHSC) became the key issue in recent days since requirements of the high-rise building which story is over than 100 gradually increases. Therefore, for the development of 150MPa UHSC this research is generally categorized by 4 parts: development of pre-mixed binders, evaluation for the fire performance of coarse aggregate, optimization of the mixture proportion, and mock-up test. Finally, based on the optimized mixture and its laboratory tests, mock-up test for wall and column specimens were carried out to simulate and evaluate the UHSC in real situation. The mechanical properties of core specimens were compared with the cylinder specimens made in laboratory. For instance, it showed the reasonable the results that the strength at the age of 91 days is 183MPa.

The purpose of this study is to evaluate on the mechanical properties of High Volume Mineral Admixture(HVMA) high strength concrete to reduce the amount use of Ordinary Potland Cement, to discover the optimized HVMA binder and to test HVMA concrete based on the change of W/B and curing temperature. The results were shown as follows: The HVMA binder using the mixture of combined heat power plant fly ash and anhydrous gypsum known as inorganic activators with the mixture of blast furnace slag and fly ash was optimized. The mixture of HVMA high strength concrete at 26% of W/B ratio had a good result on flow characteristic and mechanical properties. High strength HVMA concrete over 50MPa is possibly manufactured over curing temperature $20^{\circ}C$.
The objective of this study is to analyze rut resistance and moisture susceptibility of warm mix asphalt(WMA) mixture. The deformation strength ($S_D$), which is known to have high correlations with the high-temperature deformation resistance of dense grade mixture, was used as a tool, together with wheel tacking (WT) test, for evaluating warm mix asphalt mixture's rut resistance.

This study presents the effect of incorporating metakaolin (MK) on the mechanical and durability properties of high strength concrete for a constant water/binder ratio of 0.3.MK mixtures with cement replacement of 5, 10 and 15 % were designed for target strength and slump of 90 MPa and $100{\pm}25mm$. From the results, it was observed that 10 % replacement level was the optimum level in terms of compressive strength. Beyond 10 %replacement levels, the strength was decreased but remained higher than the control mixture. Compressive strength of 106 MPa was achieved at 10 % replacement. Splitting tensile strength and elastic modulus values have also followed the same trend. In durability tests MK concretes have exhibited high resistance compared to control and the resistance increases as the MK percentage increases. This investigation has shown that the local MK has the potential to produce high strength and high performance concretes.
