Study on the analysis Adaptive Observers to Control SRM Control Meathod (SRM 제어방법들에 대한 적응관측기들의 분석)

  • MRAS observer, which is based on adaptive control theory, estimates speed and position by using optimal observer gains on the basis of Lyapunov stability theory. However, in case of MRAS theory, position estimation error is in existence because of non-linearity for inductance variation and limit cycles for position estimation. The adaptive sliding observer based on the variable structure control theory estimates the speed and position for zero of estimation error by using the sliding surface equal to the error between speed and position estimation. The binary observer estimates the rotor speed and rotor flux with alleviation of the high-frequency chattering, and retains the benefits achieved in the conventional sliding observer, such as robustness to parameter and disturbance variations. The speed and position sensorless control of SRM under the load and inductance variation is verified by the experimental results.

  • In variable structure control algorithms, The control law used to realized the desired sliding mode dynamics is discontinuous on the switching manifold. However, due to imperfections in switching, such as time delays, the system trajectory chatters instead of sliding along the switching manifold. This chattering is undesirable because it may excite unmodeled high frequency dynamics in the physical system. In this paper, to overcome this drawback a self-organizing fuzzy sliding mode control algorithm using gradient descent method is proposed. The proposed method has the characteristics which are viewed in conventional VSC, e.g. insensitivity to a class of disturbance, parameter variations and uncertainties ill the sliding mode. To demonstrate its performance, the proposed control algorithm is applied to an inverted pendulum system. The results show that both alleviation of chattering and performance are achieved.

  • The iterative sliding mode observer is proposed to control sensorless PMSM(Permanent Magnet Synchronous Motor). Proposed sliding mode observer has the character which is robust to the disturbance and parameter variation. Low pass filter with the variable cutoff frequency is also proposed to compensate rotor angle, it is led to saving memory and minimizing operation time. Experimental results shows that the proposed sliding mode observer leads to the proper performance.

  • Recently, UPS(Uninterruptible Power Supply) have been largely used to improve power souse quality as well as to protect critical loads such as computer, industrial system, medical equipment, etc, against power outage by providing clean and uninterrupted power under power supply disturbance or interruptions. But UPS is bulky because used battery. So, UPS size issue have received attention in the power electronics industry. Therefore, this paper proposed a implementation of inside of the computer power supply with UPS by the one-chip microprocessor to minimize UPS size. To verify the proposed power supply, the detail simulation and experiment results indicate that high-frequency switching and operation UPS can be achieved.

  • An iterative sliding mode observer is proposed to sensorless control of a PMSM(Permanent Magnet Synchronous Motor). The proposed sliding mode observer has the character which is robust to the disturbance and parameters variation.   • There are three significant noises from the sunroof while driving. Among them, sunroof tilt-up noise has mainly high-frequency characteristics in the side and rear openings of sunroof. Because of complex structures to operate sunroof, significant flow disturbance makes strong turbulent noise. In this study, sunroof tilt-up noise was predicted by using numerical simulation code and the results were compared with experimental data.

  • In high-speed optical disk drive, the excitation caused by rotation of a mass-unbalanced disk is a major source of vibration. The vibration can be a disturbance to the servo system, which is sufficient to cause severe failures in the reading and writing process. The vibration also causes users to feel unpleasantness. The vibration reduction is therefore essential for the reliable operation of optical disk drive. One of the approaches to reduce the vibration is a dynamic vibration absorber (DVA). In this paper, we analyze the dynamic behavior of $DVD\pmRW$ combo drive system with DVA through 12_dof rigid multi-body dynamic model. The effective location and the optimal frequency ratio are obtained from the analysis.

  • The sliding mode control is an effective method to establish robustness against parameter variations and disturbance. But, in sliding mode strategy, the control function is discontinuous on the hyperplane. Consequently, the control input chatters at high frequency. When we apply such a control to the induction motor drive system, that causes a torque ripple and current harmonics, which are harmful to the system. In this paper, we introduce a low pass filter between sliding mode control output and driver input to overcome that problem. The band-width of this filter is varied according to the error funtion to improve transient responses.

  • The conventional grid connected PV(Photovoltaic) system has a unstable output pattern due to its dependence on the weather condition, although solar-cell array averagely has a regular output characteristics to have a peak output nearly at noon. Therefore assuming the high density grid connection in the future, this unstable output pattern can be one of the main reasons to generate power disturbance such as voltage variation, frequency variation and harmonic voltage generation in low voltage distribution line. However general grid connected solar-cell system do not have functions to cope with these disturbances. Therefore this study proposed a advanced type grid connected PV system with functions to suppress output power fluctuation due to solar-cell array output variation and showed the levelling effect of fluctuation due to instantaneous array output variation.
