  • The purpose of this study is to evaluate characteristics of plate forming by flame heating for E and EH36 TMCP steel. The characteristics of interest were heat-formability of TMCP steel and mechanical properties of heated area. For a given dimension, heat-formability of TMCP steel was inferior to that of a conventional steel because TMCP steel required more heating passes and time. Angular distortion and transverse shrinkage of TMCP steel decreased with an increase in line heating speed for given heating conditions. The mechanical properties of TMCP steel after plate forming by flame heating were high enough to satisfy the requirements.

  • The existing heating unit is indirect-heating method that make use or the nichrome wire or halogen lamp. The indirect-heating method has the demerits of long warming time, high power consumption and many organization parts. In this study, the heating unit of direct-heating method manufactured as being the thermal spray coating of conductive heating material on the surface of heating unit in order to improve the demerits of indirect-heating method. And YSZ added Ni-20Cr that had moderate electrical resistivity was chosen of the conductive heating material.

원적외선 면상발열체에 의한 온실 난방시스템의 열특성 분석 (Thermal Energy Characteristics for Greenhouse Heating System with Far-Infrared Heater)

  • The greenhouse heating system with far-infrared heater was built to analyze various thermal characteristics, such as greenhouse air temperature, soil temperature, energy flow, energy consumption in far-infrared heater, and other factors, which could be used in comparison with other greenhouse heating system in this study. The results showed that the inside air temperature of the far-infrared greenhouse heating system was $5^{\circ}C$ higher than that of hot air heating system. Heat loss of daytime was found to be larger than that of night time as much as 44.8% for the heating system with far-infrared heater. In the heating system with far-Infrared heater, when the lowest ambient temperature was -8 $\sim$ -7$^{\circ}C$, the air temperature of greenhouse was 12 $\sim$ 15$^{\circ}C$, thus the far-infrared heating system was shown to be feasible for heating system. Energy consumption of far-infrared heating system was shown to be less than that of hot air heating system.

  • Drying and curing characteristics of PCM resins using the induction heater and short-wave infrared emitter module was studied to develop a compact oven system for the high speed CCL and post-treatment equipment. Drying of the polyester resins using the induction heater and infrared heater showed that the blistering tendency of polyester resin coating increased regardless of additives and colors of resins as the heating rate and/or dry film thickness increased. The blistering of polyester resin coating layer occurred when the heating speed was over than $25^{\circ}C/sec$ for the dry film thickness of $19\~20um$, which is the typical thickness of finish coating in CCL. So did it when the heating speed was over than $40^{\circ}C/sec$ for the dry film thickness over than 10 um. The heating efficiency of paint coated steels by the infrared heating was strongly dependent on the colors of paint coating and generally increased for the dark surface and/or coating. But the faster drying of the PCM resin coatings increased the blistering tendency of coating layer. The blistering limit for the typical finish coating by the infrared heating was estimated as the heating rate slower than $20^{\circ}C/sec$ regardless of colors of PCM resins.

이중 윅 타입 히트파이프를 이용한 바닥복사패널의 난방특성 연구 (A Study on the Heating Characteristics of Radiant Floor Panel Using Heat Pipes with the Double Wick)

  • Most of the domestic residential buildings have used the traditional radiant heating system, circulating hot water through the cross-linked polyethylene(PE-X) pipe buried in the floor panel of the heating space. New type of the heating panel was recently developed using heat pipes with double wicks. Some experiments were carried out in this study to verify the thermal characteristics of this heating system at the unit heating space which surrounded by outer space whose temperature of air be maintained scheduled value with time. Through the various experiments with several parameters, such as flow rate, inlet and outlet temperatures of hot water and the heating duration and so on, we found that the floor heating system with heat pipes was able to reduce the pumping power for hot water circulation by 4~31% compared with the conventional panel heating system using PE-X pipe. These results could be used for optimal design and efficient operation of the heating system as well as improvement of thermal comfort.

  • 선체 외판은 복잡한 3차원 곡면 형상이며 이의 제작을 위한 곡가공은 조선에 있어서 필수적인 공정이다. 곡가공 공정은 주된 1차곡 성형을 위한 프레스 공정과 2차 이상의 나머지 곡 성형을 위한 열간가공 공정으로 이루어진다. 특히 전체 작업량의 50% 이상을 점하는 열간가공 공정은 숙련된 기능공의 작업 경험에 전적으로 의존하고 있다. 이의 자동화를 위한 많은 연구가 있었으나 최근까지의 연구는 주로 선상가열에 한정되어 있으며 삼각가열에 대한 연구는 극히 미미한 실정이다. 본 연구는 향후 삼각가열에 대한 효율적인 변형해석 기법을 개발하기 위한 기초 연구로서 삼각가열에 의한 판의 변형특성을 명확히 하는데 그 주안점을 두었다. 우선, 실제 조선소에서 현장조건 그대로 일련의 선가열 및 삼각가열 실험을 수행하여 각각의 변형특성을 비교 분석하였으며 상변태온도 이상의 고온영역을 확인함으로써 그 변형특성을 합리적으로 해명하였다. 또한, 가열시편에 대한 물리시험을 통해 현재 조선소에서 행해지는 열간가공 방법이 선각재료의 성질 변화에 미치는 영향을 검토하였다.

선상가열법에 의한 강판의 변형 예측식 개발 (Development of Formulas to Predict Deformations in Plate by Line Heating Method)

  • Although a great deal of research has been carried out to solve the plate forming problem and to improve the effectiveness and productivity of the plate forming process, no practical way of automating the plate forming process has been proposed yet. Since characteristics of heating machines may vary, it is necessary to investigate the thermal deformation characteristics of the heating machine that will be used in the automation system its characteristics may be modified as new information about thermal deformation by heating becomes available. In this paper, experiments for line heating have been carried out to calculate the formula of predicting thermal deformation due to line heating with varying affecting parameters, and numerical study has been carried out to produce data beyond the range where a line heating test is impractical. Formulas of predicting transverse distortion and shrinkage have been proposed and derived, based on the present experimental and numerical works. This paper also illustrates how the formula has been modified as new experimental data are added.

  • The experimental implementation for different heating systems, district heating and separate heating and power, is discussed in the analysis of the characteristics of energy-usage in apartment complex. Total 20 families are chosen for the experiment, 10 for the district heating and the others for separate heating and power. Among the 10 families, the operating temperature was forced to be controled within certain range of temperatures for 5 ones, and it was left as usual for the other ones. The configuration and general features of each facilities and data acquisition systems are mentioned in brief and the technical specifications for it are also described. The analysis for the experiment results of this investigation is going to be carried out and published in a subsequent paper.

급속가열환경에서 A12024-T3의 인장특성 (Tensile Characteristics of A12024-T3 under Rapid Heating)

  • 본 연구에서는 비행체 구조재료인 A12024-T3에 대하여 공력가열환경을 모사할 수 있는 복사가열기를 제작하였으며 $1^{\circ}C/sec{\sim}30^{\circ}C/sec$ 가열률 범위에서 열기계적 인장특성을 평가하였다. 가열환경에 따른 재료강도 평가를 위하여 급속가열 인장시험 결과와 일정 온도로 30분 노출후의 인장시험결과를 항복응력 측면에서 비교 고찰하였다. 급속가열 인장시험 결과로부터 시간-온도계수를 응용한 가열률-항복온도 계수를 도출하였으며, 항복응력을 가열률과 항복온도로 표현되는 실험적 master 수식을 제안하였다. 본 연구 결과를 통하여 획득 된 급속가열 안장시험결과들은 초음속 비행체 설계시 선정재료의 안전여유를 판단하는 기초자료로 활용될 수 있다.

옴 가열이 대두 단백질의 열변성에 미치는 영향 (Effect of Ohmic Heating on Characteristics of Heating Denaturation of Soybean Protein)

  • Ohmic heating uses electric resistance heat which occurs equally and rapidly inside food when an electrical current is passed throught. In this study, we observed the physical & chemical characteristics changes which occurs in soybean protein during heating denaturation by using ohmic and conventional heating. After the ohmic heating process, we could not find any change of the primary protein structure in the denaturated soy protein samples. However, the rate of imbibed water(RIW) of the ohmic samples was 2 times faster than that of the conventional samples. Also the ANS-surface hydrophobicity was decreased, which is very closely related to RIW. In the differential scanning calorimeter(DSC) analysis result, all 7S soyprotein fraction samples were completely denaturated by ohmic and conventional heating. However, the 11S samples were completely denatured only by ohmic heating. According to the DSC result, we decided that soyprotein was damaged by temperature and electrical current during ohmic heating. The damage of electrical current was a cause of the characteristic changes.
