흡수식 냉온수기용 저 NOx 가스버너 개발 (Development of Low NOx Gas Burner Absorption Chiller/Heater Unit)

  • For the development of low NO$_{x}$ gas burners aimed for absorption chiller/heater unit, three proto type burners of different capacity (265000, 498000, and 664000 kcal/h) have been manufactured through a combustion method of step-by-step air injection. In order to characterize the overall features of the flame and the properties of the emission gas, the temperature of the flame and the concentration of NO$_{x}$ and CO were determined. The main factors in the design of burners (the area of primary air injection, the diameter of secondary air injection hole, fuel nozzle diameter) were observed to increase linearly with the scale-up of burner capacity. The flame temperature profiles of the burners were observed to be almost similar, irrespective of their capacity. However, as their capacity increased, the flame temperature slightly increased and the hot region of the flames moved to ward the flame tip along with the expansion to the direction of radius. From the proto type units, the amount of their NO$_{x}$ emission was determined to be around 25 - 30 vppm(3% )$_{2}$) and the CO emission was less than 19 vppm (3% $O_{2}$).TEX>).

스터얼링 기관의 근사 출력 계산법 (An Approximate Analysis Method to Predict Power Output Characteristics of Stilting Engine)

  • A fast and inexpensive approximate analysis method to predict power output characteristics of the Stilting engines in a preliminary design stage was investigated. In basic equations proposed by Walker, typical temperatures of working fluids in expansion and compression spaces were treated as those of working fluids in heater and cooler respectively. While the temperature of working fluid in the expansion space was actually lower than that of working fluid in the heater, the temperature of working fluid in the compression space was higher than that of working fluids in the cooler. In this paper, the working fluid temperature of expansion space was treated as lower than the heater temperature and that of compression space was treated as higher than the cooler temperature. Also, according to them, the power output characteristics of the Stirling engine were evaluated with respect to the GPU-3 and 4-215 Stilting engines. The following conclusions were drawn from the analysis. 1. Using the available experimental data from the GPU-3 Stirling engine, it was shown that the approximate analysis predicts the brake power with a maximum error of 19 percent at 1, 000rpm and with a minimum error of 3 percent at 2, 000rpm. 2. The approximate analysis data which for the GPU-3 Stirling engine were much closer to the experimental data than those of adiabatic 2nd order and 3rd order analysis within 1, 500rpm to 2, 500rpm. 3. The approximate analysis data which for the GPU-3 and 4-215 Stilting engines were much closer to the experimental data than those of the Beal number analysis.

  • This paper presents the design and fabrication of a high-Tc superconducting (HTS) power supply for charging of the HTS magnet load, and its characteristics have been analyzed through experiments. HTS power supply consists of two heaters, an electromagnet, a Bi-2223 solenoid and a Bi-2223 pancake magnet load. In this experiment, 331 mH electromagnet and 0.8 A dc heater current were used, and 8.5 sec and 17 sec were used for pumping period. Mechanism of the superconducting switch is used for heater-trigger. In order to measure the pumping-current with respect to the magnet flux changes, hall sensor was installed at the center of the Bi-2223 pancake load. The experimental observations have been compared with the theoretical predictions. In this experiment, the pumping-current has reached about 1.2 A. In computer simulation, the maximum pumping-current of the system has been predicted to be about 2.7 A.

저궤도 관측위성의 히터제어를 위한 위성비행소프트웨어 설계 (Design of Flight Software for Heater Control in LEO Satellites)

  • 저궤도 관측위성에는 버스 히터, 탑재체 히터, 배터리 내부 히터 등 다양한 히터들이 각각의 해당 영역에 대한 열제어를 위해 존재한다. 이러한 히터들의 제어는 서미스터에 의해 수행되거나 비행소프트웨어에 의해 제어될 수 있다. 각 히터들은 설치된 위치, 텔레메트리로 전송하기 위한 분류, 사용되는 서브시스템 등에 따라서 여러 형태의 그룹으로 나눌 수 있으며, 비행소프트웨어에서는 히터제어를 위한 정보들을 다양한 배열에 저장하는데 각 히터마다 고유의 인덱스를 부여하여 구분하는 방법을 사용할 수 있다. 각 히터들이 분류하는 방식에 따라 서로 다른 그룹에 속하기도 하고 비행소프트웨어 로직에서 사용되는 히터정보가 어느 히터, 또는 어느 그룹의 정보인지를 판별하는데 어려움이 있을 수 있다. 본 문서에서는 저궤도 관측위성의 일반적인 히터 제어를 위한 비행소프트웨어의 설계에 대해 기술하고, 히터들의 그룹 및 배열의 활용과 특별한 관리가 필요한 히터들의 제어방식에 대하여 설명한다.

실시간 제어기를 이용한 마이크로 열식 질량공기 유량센서의 열특성 측정 (Measurements of Thermal Characteristics for a Micro-Fabricated Thermal Mass Air Flow Sensor With Real-Time Controller)

  • A thermal mass air flow sensor, which consists of a micro-heater and thermal sensors on the silicon-nitride thin membrane structure, is micro-fabricated by MEMS processes. Three thermo-resistive sensors, one for the measurement of microheater temperature, the others for the measurement of membrane temperature upstream and downstream of the micro-heater respectively, are used. The micro-heater is operated under the constant temperature difference mode via a real time controller, based on inlet air temperature. Two design models for microfabricated flow sensor are compared with experimental results and confirmed their applicabilities and limitations. The thermal characteristics are measured to find the best flow indicator. It is found that two normalized temperature indicators can be adopted with some advantages in practice. The flow sensor with this control mode can be adopted for wide capability of high speed and sensitivity in the very low and medium velocity ranges.

The Fabrication of Micro-Heaters with Low-Power Consumption Using SOI and Trench Structures

  • This paper presents optimized design, fabrication and thermal characteristics of micro-heaters for thermal MEMS (micro electro mechanical system) applications using SOI and trench structures. The micro-heaters are based on a thermal measurement principle and contains thermal isolation regions of 10 ${\mu}m$-thick Si membranes consisting of oxide-filled trenches in the SOI membrane rim. The micro-heaters were fabricated with Pt-RTD on the same substrate via MgO buff layer between Pt thin-film and $SiO_2$ layer. The thermal characteristics of micro-heater with trench-free SOI membrane structure was $280^{\circ}C$ at input power 0.9 W; in the presence of 10 trenches, it was $580^{\circ}C$ due to reduction of the external thermal loss. Therefore, a micro-heater with trenches in SOI membrane rim structure provides a powerful and versatile alternative technology for enhancing the performance of micro-thermal sensors and actuators.

태양열 공기가열기의 흡열판 홀 배치와 형상에 따른 열적 성능에 관한 수치해석적 연구 (A Numerical Study on the Thermal Performance of a Solar Air Heater Depending on the Hole Configuration and Geometry in the Absorber Plate)

  • A series of numerical analyses was conducted to predict the thermal performance of a solar air heater depending on the hole configuration and geometry in the absorber plate. The planar dimensions of the prototype were 1 m (W) by 1.6 m (H), and the maximum air flow considered was $187m^3/h$. It was considered that protruding holes with a triangular opening in the absorber plate would invoke turbulence in the air flow to enhance the convection heat transfer. Six different hole configurations were investigated and compared with each other, while the hole opening height was considered as a design variable. Three-dimensional transient analyses were performed with a commercial software package on the airflow and heat transfer in the model. The numerical results were analyzed and compared from the view point of the outlet air temperature and its time response to derive the optimal hole pattern and hole opening height.

  • This paper presents characteristics analysis of persistent current switch(PCS) system on a small scale by using YBCO coated conductor(CC). A high temperature superconductor(HTS) PCS system mainly consists of a PCS, a HTS magnet load and a magnet power supply(MPS). To design the optimal heater triggering switch. the three-dimensional heat conduction model was analyzed by finite element method(FEM). The electrical equivalent model considering the n-value of CC was applied to analyze current decay during persistent current mode. In the experiment and simulation, the heater was applied with a current of 0.43A and the current was ramped up to 10A and 20A with 0.2A/s. Finally, experimental results of the HTS PCS system have been compared with the theoretical results. It has been concluded that flux creep can not influence the results because the operating current was 40% of critical current and optimal sequential operation of the PCS system is indispensable to enhance its performance.

  • 본 연구는 램제트 엔진 성능시험기의 설계기술 습득을 위하여 진행된 연구의 일부분으로 자유제트 형식 시험기의 설계기술을 연구한 결과를 정리한 것이다. 연구의 대상은 램제트 엔진 성능시험기의 범용 설비인 오염공기 방식 가열기(Vitiated Air Heater), 시험부, 디퓨저, 이젝터 등으로 설계기법 및 설치기법들을 중점으로 연구하였다. 램제트 엔진 성능시험기 시험부는 기본 성능시험기의 작동 영역(마하2~5, 고도0~25km)을 토대로 10개의 작동점으로 재구성하여 각 작동점에서의 마하수, 고도에 따른 시험장치의 초음속 노즐, 디퓨저, 이젝터 등 주요 구성요소들의 물성치(온도, 압력 등)를 계산하였으며, 성능시험기의 구동 방법 등에 대한 내용을 기술하였다.

전기유도보일러의 발열효율개선을 위한 권선최적설계 (Optimal Design of a Coil for Improved Heating Efficiency of Electric Induction Boiler)

  • 본 기후변화협약, 온실가스배출규제와 같은 규제적 규약들은 고효율 에너지 기자재 개발과 에너지의 효율적 이용을 촉진하는 촉매로 작용하고 있다. 에너지소비가 큰 분야 중 전열기기가 효율이 좋지 못한 편이다. 전기보일러는 히터에 물을 접촉시켜 순환시키는 방식을 주로 사용하고 있다. 기존 전기보일러를 활용할 경우 물의 미네랄이 고온의 히터와 접촉하여 탄화되어 흡착되는 과정에서 히터의 부식을 촉진시키고 히터의 효율을 저하시킨다. 이러한 이유로 에너지 효율이 높고, 전도나 대류가열보다 피가열물을 균일하게 가열시킬 수 있는 유도가열방식을 보일러에 적용시킨 전기유도보일러가 각광을 받고 있는데, 이 방식은 물이 담겨 있는 보일러 관로를 유도가열방식으로 가열하여 직접가열시 발생하는 문제를 해결시킬 수 있는 대안으로 인정받고 있다. 비교적 오랜 기간 유도가열에 대한 연구가 이루어졌음에도 불구하고 유도가열을 이용한 전열기술에 대한 연구결과는 그리 많지 않은 실정이다. 따라서 본 논문에서는 전기유도보일러의 발열효율을 개선하기 위하여 매개변수연구방법을 통하여 권선의 단면적, 권선의 수 및 권선의 겹수에 의한 영향을 유한요소법을 이용하여 해석하고 발열의 요소가 되고 있는 동손과 철손을 분석하여 발열을 극대화시킬 수 있는 권선설계방법으로 총손실이 최대가 되는 설계점을 찾는 방법을 제시하였다.
