Purpose: This study aimed to evaluate the long-term survival outcomes and prognostic factors that affect the clinical outcomes of patients who underwent surgery and postoperative radiotherapy for major salivary gland mucoepidermoid carcinoma (MEC). Materials and Methods: We retrospectively reviewed the clinical data of 44 patients who underwent surgery followed by radiotherapy for primary MEC of the major salivary glands between 1991 and 2014. The median follow-up period was 9.8 years (range, 0.8 to 23.8 years). Results: The overall outcomes at 5 and 10 years were 81.5% and 78.0% for overall survival (OS), 86.2% and 83.4% for disease-free survival, 90.6% and 87.6% for locoregional recurrence-free survival, and both 90.5% for distant metastasis-free survival (DMFS). Histologic grade was the only independent predictor of OS (low vs. intermediate vs. high; hazard ratio = 3.699; p = 0.041) in multivariate analysis. A poorer survival was observed among patients with high-grade tumors compared with those with non-high-grade tumors (5-year OS, 37.5% vs. 91.7%, p < 0.001; 5-year DMFS, 46.9% vs. 100%, p < 0.001). Conclusion: Surgery and postoperative radiotherapy resulted in excellent survival outcomes for patients with major salivary gland MEC. However, high-grade tumors contributed to poor DMFS and OS. Additional aggressive strategies for improving survival outcomes should be developed for high-grade MEC.
We used to LASSO-Cox method for determining prognostic factors of male breast cancer survival and showed the superiority of this method compared to Cox proportional hazard model in low sample size setting. In order to identify and estimate exactly the relative hazard of the most important factors effective for the survival duration of male breast cancer, the LASSO-Cox method has been used. Our data includes the information of male breast cancer patients in Fars province, south of Iran, from 1989 to 2008. Cox proportional hazard and LASSO-Cox models were fitted for 20 classified variables. To reduce the impact of missing data, the multiple imputation method was used 20 times through the Markov chain Mont Carlo method and the results were combined with Rubin's rules. In 50 patients, the age at diagnosis was 59.6 (SD=12.8) years with a minimum of 34 and maximum of 84 years and the mean of survival time was 62 months. Three, 5 and 10 year survival were 92%, 77% and 26%, respectively. Using the LASSO-Cox method led to eliminating 8 low effect variables and also decreased the standard error by 2.5 to 7 times. The relative efficiency of LASSO-Cox method compared with the Cox proportional hazard method was calculated as 22.39. The19 years follow of male breast cancer patients show that the age, having a history of alcohol use, nipple discharge, laterality, histological grade and duration of symptoms were the most important variables that have played an effective role in the patient's survival. In such situations, estimating the coefficients by LASSO-Cox method will be more efficient than the Cox's proportional hazard method.

In recent years, increasing damage due to landslides. So the government is to create a geotechnical hazard map. This study was to evaluate the applicability of the geotechnical hazard map by using 4 years of landslide cases in Seoul and Busan. And the in-situ aseessment has been carried out in test-bad area with specialists. Study has shown dangerous grade in geotechnical hazard map is more dangerous than the actual. Thus we can utilize geotechnical hazrd map in the purpose of the geotechnical hazard preliminary assessment. However, the in-site inspection and evaluation is required for in order to select the hazard area.

The purpose of this study was to develop a new method for evaluation of stream naturalness in order to promote stream managers' understanding on importance of improving stream naturalness, and in order to appraise and prescribe for streams effectively in the process of ecological restoration of stream corridors. In order to analyze the evaluation method of stream naturalness and its applicability to streams, stream naturalness index(SNI) which has seven factors such as channel development, longitudinal profile, lateral section, stream bed structure, low flow channel structure, stream surroundings and water quality was suggested in this paper. For case studies, Bokha stream was selected for the evaluation of stream naturalness. At the Bokha stream, the scores of SNI factors were in range of $2.2{\sim}3.8$, and the average of SNI was 3.1, and the most frequent grade of SNI factors was grade 3. Among the 7 factors, the best was lateral section, and the worst was channel development. In this study, SNI grade can represent the characteristics of stream naturalness well and select the streams which will be restored, and can also decide the segment and the method of restoration for deteriorated streams.

In this study, the vibration serviceability of pedestrian by travelling vehicles on the cable-stayed bridge with concrete tower was studied. Experiment variables were considered travelling speed of vehicles, pavement state of asphalt on the deck and weight of vehicles, preferentially. Especially, pavement grade states were considered by A and C grades by BMS (Bridge Management System) standard. The incremental ratio extent of vibration acceleration responses, asphalt pavement grade C over A, was construed to 1.23~1.43. Only, these results are valid within extent of the Scaled-Weight 228.0~1161.9 km/h kN. The vibration equations for acceleration responses prediction of bridge deck were proposed into three types, reliability 50%, 90%, 95% respectively. These equations can consider asphalt pavement grade, and the vehicle's weight and travelling velocity, which are the source of vibration, are combined into the term called, 'Scaled Weight'.

Based on the landslide hazard scoring system of Korea Forest Research Institute, a GIS model for predicting landslide hazards was developed. The risk of landslide hazards was analyzed as the function of 7 environmental site factors for the terrain, vegetation, and geological characteristics of the corresponding forest stand sites. Among the environmental factors, slope distance, relative height and shapes of slopes were interpreted using the forestland slope interpretation module developed by Chung et al. (2002). The program consists of three modules for managing spatial data, analyzing landslide hazard and report-writing, A performance test of the model showed that 72% of the total landslides in Youngin-Ansung landslides area took place in the highly vulnerable zones of grade 1 or 2 of the landslide hazard scoring map.
Objectives : The purpose of this study was to analyze the influence which the professional dental hygiene education has on the knowledge and behavioral change for oral health to the students in the departments of dental hygiene. Methods : 771 students in the first grade and 646 students in the third grade who were attending the departments of dental hygiene from 12 colleges in Korea were surveyed. The self-administered questionnaires were distributed to the students in the colleges during May and asked them to answer the questions and then recovered them on the spot. The collected questionnaires were analyzed by using a SPSS/PC program and the difference of significance depending on the group of the students was tested by Chi-square test or Fisher's exact probability test. Results : In the number of eating snacks by the students during one day, 2-3 times was the highest, irrespectively of the grade. The rate of the students brushing their teeth after snack was higher in the third-grade students(34.8%) than in the first-grade students(20.8%). As the path of acquiring oral health knowledge, all of the first-grade and third-grade students replied that their school classes had impacted them the most. The rate of toothache experience was a higher tendency in third-grade students compared to the first-grade students(p=0.116). The rate of gingival bleeding experience was lower in the third-grade students than in the first-grade students. The rate of oral prophylaxis experience was higher in the third-grade students than in the first-grade students. In the smoking rate, there was lower in the third-grade students than in the first-grade students. The rate of acknowledging smoking hazard to the periodontal health was higher in the third-grade students than in the first-grade students. Conclusions : This study revealed that the third-grade students of dental hygiene departments who were majoring in dental hygiene had a higher perception of oral health than the first-grade students whose the dental hygiene education period was short.
This study was carried out to establish basic data for the development of slow-moving landslide hazard classes. Mountain slopes in slow-moving landslide areas ranged from $11.8^{\circ}$ to $37.0^{\circ}$ with a mean slope of $23.8^{\circ}$. However, the slope inclination of microtopography in slow-moving landslide areas was slightly different, with a mean slope of $23.5^{\circ}$ ($10.7^{\circ}{\sim}41.5^{\circ}$) compared with the mountain slope. There was a significant difference (p < 0.05) between the contour intervals of microtopography and the contour intervals of the slow-moving landslide areas. Among all the slow-moving landslide areas examined, 14 plots (approximately 38.0%) were classified into landslide hazard class I, 6 plots (approximately 16.0%) into landslide hazard class II, 5 plots (approximately 14.0%) into landslide hazard class III and IV, and 16 plots (approximately 43.0%) into landslide hazard class V, whereas 9 plots (approximately 24.0%) fit the no landslide hazard class.
The fire area need management to prevent enlargement of collapes and sinkage. and it need that repair Vegetation sack work, Soil arresting structure, Terrace-sodding works, Direct seeding works in greening works and Water cushion in erosion control dam. The whole of the Concrete stream grade stabilization structures were broken, it need to be repair. As pass the time, a lot of structures were abandoned. Therefore, it need to reorganize erosion control structures and the method of construction in the fire area
Water retaining pavement is a pavement to lower the surface temperature by using evaporation of the water that the pavement contains when the pavement is heated by the sun in the daytime. The objective of this study is to develop water retaining materials. In this study we evaluated the practical application of a sepiolite and a charcoal as a water retaining material. We produced dense grade asphalt pavement, porous asphalt pavement, semi-rigid Pavement, semi-rigid pavement included a charcoal and semi-rigid pavement included a sepiolite, and then tested surface temperature characteristics. The test result says that water retaining pavements using a sepiolite and a charcoal lower surface temperature more than $10^{\circ}C$ compared to dense grade asphalt pavement. We confirm the practical application of a sepiolite and a charcoal as a water retaining material according to the test results.
