참깨 수확을(收穫) 위한 건조제(乾燥劑)로서 Paraquat와 Diaquat의 이용(利用)에 관(關)한 연구(硏究) (Investigation on the Use of Paraquat and Diquat as a Desiccant for Sesame Harvest-Aid)

  • 농산물(農産物) 수입개방화(輪入開放化)에 대처(對處)하여 농가(農家) 고소득(高所得) 작물중(作物中) 하나인 참깨의 수확(收穫)시 기계화(機械化) 작업(作業)에 의한 노동(勞動)의 효율(效率)과 대량생산(大量生産)에 따른 생산비(生産費) 절감(節減)을 위한 방법(方法)으로 비선택성(非選擇性) 제초제(除草劑)인 paraquat와 diquat를 예취(刈取) 3일전(日前)과 3시간전(時間前)에 각각(各各) 처리(處理)하여 참깨 수확(收穫)을 위한 건조제(乾燥劑)로서의 이용가능성(利用可能性)을 연구(硏究)할 목적(目的)으로 수행(遂行)한 실험결과(實驗結果)는 다음과 같다. 1. Paraquat와 diquat를 예취(刈取) 3일전(日前)과 3시간전(時間前)에 각각(各各) 처리(處理)한 결과(結果) 참깨 꼬투리의 수분함량(水分含量)은 무처리구(無處理區)에 비(比)해 빠르게 감소(減少)되어 건조효과(乾燦效果)가 뚜렷하였다. 2. 공시약제(供試藥劑)를 처리(處理)한 후(後) 수확(收穫)한 참깨의 수량(收量)과 참깨 종자(種子)의 발아율(發芽率)은 무처리구(無處理區)에 비(比)하여 유의차(有意差)가 없었다. 3. 참깨 종자중(種子中)의 약제(藥劑) 잔유량(殘留量)은 두 공시약제(供試藥劑) 모두 예취(刈取) 3일전(日前) 처리농도(處理濃度) 250ppm에서 검출(檢出)되지 않았다. 4. 예취후(刈取後) 일수(日數)에 따른 참깨꼬투리의 탈립율(脫粒率)은 건조제(乾燥劑) 처리(處理)로 무처리(無處理) 실행(慣行)에 비(比)하여 매우 높았다. 5. 탈곡회수(脫穀回數)에 따른 소요노동력(所要勞動力)도 크게 감소(減少)되었다.

Cadaveric study of deep temporal fascia for autologous rhinoplasty grafts: Dimensions of the temporal compartment in Asians

  • Background Due to the anatomical complexity of the deep temporal fascia (DTF), practical guidelines for its safe harvest are lacking. However, since the upper temporal compartment (UTC) contains no vital structures, it may provide safe access for DTF harvest. This study aimed to identify the anatomical structures of the temporal compartment in Asian cadavers and to measure their dimensions to enable safe DTF harvest. Methods The anatomical structures surrounding the temporal compartment were identified in 27 hemifaces from 15 Korean cadavers. After dissection, digital images were acquired and craniometric landmarks were placed upon them to identify the boundaries of the temporal compartment. The horizontal and vertical lengths of the temporal compartment were measured and their surface areas were computationally assessed. Subsequently, differences in the results by sex were evaluated. Results The five-layer anatomical structure of the UTC was clearly visualized. The UTC was bounded by the temporal septa superiorly and inferiorly, the innominate fascia laterally, and the DTF medially. No vital structures were present within the UTC. The vertical and horizontal lengths of the UTC were 6.41±0.67 cm and 10.44±0.83 cm, respectively, and the surface area of the UTC was 48.52±5.65 ㎠. No statistically significant differences were observed in any dimensions between male and female patients. Conclusions During rhinoplasty, DTF can be harvested as an autologous graft material from the UTC. An anatomical understanding of the UTC will aid in the safe and simple harvest of a sufficient amount of DTF.

맥류작 참깨의 수확기 결정과 건조제 처리의 효과 (Determination of Harvesting Time and Effect of Diquat Treatment in Sesame Cropped After Winter Barley)

  • 참깨품종 '수원9호'의 만식재배시 적정수확기를 결정하기 위하여 성숙후기로부터 주기적으로 sampling하여 수량발연항목들을 조사하고 삭수분함량, 개삭율 및 조직노화상태를 기록하였다. 아울러 작물건조제 Diquat을 살포하여 그의 효과와 이용가능성을 검토하였다. 1. 개체당 종실수량과 종실수는 9월 18일 수확에 이미 최대에 달하있고, 이들은 그후 점차 감소하였으나 천입중은 9월 29일 수확기까지 증가하는 추세이였다. 2. 수확기가 늦어질수록 삭수분함량 감소하고 반면 개삭율은 증가하였다. 삭의 열개는 수분함량이 70% 이하로 떨어졌을 때 발생하였고 탈입에 따른 수량저하 급격히 증대되는 시기는 수분함량이 65% 이하이고 개삭률이 50 %이상인 때부터이었다. 3. 적정수확기는 종실수가 최대로 확보되고 삭수분함량이 70%이하로 떨어질 때부터이며 엽의 황화는 _상위절까지 지전되고 50%삭이 황화되였을 때에 해당하였다. 4. 엽의 탈락이후의 천입중의 증가는 삭의 storage pool로서의 기능으로 보여지며 삭조직중의 약 5%가량이 종실중 증가에 기여하였다. 5. Diquat을 식물체에 살포하였을 때 5 일후에 삭수분함량은 40 % 이하로 떨어지고 7일후에는 90% 이상 개삭이 일어났다. 이는 포장상태 참깨보다 2주이상 건조를 촉진시켰으며 균일화의 효과가 있었다.

순환식 유채건조기 개량 연구 (A Study on the Improvement of the Circulation Dryer for Rapeseed)

  • Current high oil price and the agreement on global climate change prevention have increased worldwide investment and research on renewable energy. In Korea, development of a rapeseed dryer for bio-diesel production has been started in 2007. Usually, rapeseeds are harvested in early summer, because rice cultivation is followed right after rapeseed harvesting. Early harvest and bad summer results in highly moistured rapeseed and development of artificial drying system is required to dry great amount of rapeseed that couldn't be processed by sun drying alone. The rapeseed dryer was modified from an existing circulation type grain dryer. Modification of the dryer was performed with the aid of CFD simulation. Drying test showed that drying rate of rapeseed was 1.51%/h and germination rate reduction was 4.5%p for the drying temperature of $60^{\circ}C$.

파프리카 재배 중 살균제 boscalid와 pyraclostrobin의 사용시기에 따른 작물 부위별 생산단계 잔류특성 (Pre-Harvest Residual Characteristics of Boscalid and Pyraclostrobin in Paprika at Different Seasons and Plant Parts)

  • 본 연구는 최근 증가하고 있는 시설 내 수출 파프리카 재배에서 급증하는 외래해충과 병해충의 방제를 위해 사용되고 있는 농약의 안전사용과 잔류 저감을 위한 연구의 일환으로 실시했다. 침투성 살균제인 boscalid와 pyraclostrobin의 주성분 함량이 각각 47%와 18.8% 인 단제와 두 약제의 주성분 농도가 13.6%와 6.8%가 혼합된 합제를 기준량 및 배량이 되게 살포하여 계절별(3월과 6월)로 수확 전 18일부터 1일전까지 생산단계 농약 잔류분석을 통해 생물학적 반감기를 구하고, 열매와 잎에서의 살포 후 농약의 분포 비를 구하였다. Boscalid와 pyraclostrobin의 3월과 6월 살포한 농약의 반감기는 정량 처리 시 합제에서 boscalid의 경우 5.0일과 17.3일, 단제 처리구에서는 19.8일과 16.3일로 나타났고, pyraclostrobin은 합제 처리구에서 13.9일과 13.1일 이었고, 단제 처리구에서는 14.4일과 20.1일 이었다. 6월 처리구는 3월에 비해서 전체적으로 잔류량 검출이 합제의 경우 다소 낮았지만 단제 처리구의 경우 3월의 반 정도로 낮게 검출되었다. 배량 처리구간에서는 농약의 잔류는 두 농약 공통으로 안전사용기간 내 MRL을 초과하여 검출되는 경우가 많았고 특히 3월 처리구간이 6월에 비해 전 처리 기간 내 잔류량 감소가 거의 없거나, 더욱 높게 검출되었다. 열매와 잎에서의 농약의 분배 비율을 조사한 결과 두 농약이 적게는 20배에서 높게는 200배 정도 잎에서 생산단계 전 기간 동안 10-40 ${\mu}g\;g^{-1}$ 수준으로 유지되었다. 이 같이 합제는 주성분 함량과 최종살포 농도가 단제에 비해 낮으므로 열매에서의 잔류 저감을 도모할 수 있었고, 잎에서의 두 살균제의 잔류 수준과 지속기간이 병 발생을 억제할 수 있을 것으로 예상된다.

상품성 제고를 위한 고구마 수확 후 관리 및 출하기술 (Postharvest Handling and Marketing Management for Making High Salability of Sweetpotatoes)

  • The qualities including taste of sweetpotato stored during the winter which can display in the spring market in Korea are affected by availability of storage for the roots. In order to make high storage availability of sweetpotato, the postharvest handlings should be done thoroughly from the moment of harvest until shipping them to the market. A lot of procedures that must be handled carefully for improving postharvest management are as follows; digging, trimming, gathering, putting in storage containers, carrying them from field to house, curing, storing, washing, drying, selecting marketable roots, packing and shipping to the market, etc.. Sweetpotatoes have a high moisture content, and a relatively thin and delicate skin, and are sensitive to chilling, so careless postharvest handling can lead to both quantitative and qualitative losses which may be extremely high in some circumstances. From now on research has concentrated on the improvement of postharvest conditions to increase yield and lower disease rates. Storage, which makes sweetpotatoes available through out the year, benefits both the producer and the consumer. Seven very important points must be needed in order to get the best quality marketable roots in the storing of sweetpotatos : $\circled1$The storage house must be clean and sanitary, $\circled2$The crop must be harvested before the first frost to avoid low-temperature injury, $\circled3$Particular care must be taken to avoid cutting, bruising, or other injuries of the sweetpotatoes during digging, picking up, grading, placing in containers, and moving to the storage house, $\circled4$Select sound, disease-free roots for storage $\circled5$Sweetpotatoes should be stored in properly stacked containers $\circled6$Cure immediately after harvest, preferably at 32∼33$^{\circ}C$ and 90 to 95 percent relative humidity for 4 to 7 days, After curing the temperature should be reduced to 13$^{\circ}C$ to 16$^{\circ}C$ by ventilating the storage with outside air. $\circled7$Store at 12$^{\circ}C$ to 14$^{\circ}C$ and a relative humidity of 80 to 85 percent. Storage houses should be located on suitable sites and should be tightly constructed and insulated so that temperature and humidity will be uniform. Sweetpotatoes are usually not washed and graded, and lately sometimes washed, graded, waxed, before being shipped to market. Consumer packaging of sweetpotatoes in paper boxes(10-15kg) or film bags is done mainly to aid marketing. The shelf life of washed roots in consumer packs in only 1 to 2 weeks. Weight loss of roots during marketing is much less in perforated film bags than in mesh and paper bags. Perforation of 0.8 to 1kg polyethylene bags with about six 6mm holes is essential ; to lower the internal relative humidity and avoid excessive sprouting, rooting, and dampness. Development and use of better postharvest handling with good storage facilities or marketing methods can minimize sweetpotate losses and has an effect of indirectly increasing productivity and farmer’s income.

수산물의 유통구조 개선에 관한 연구 (A Study on Improving the Fisheries Products Distribution Structure)

  • This study intends to examine the distribution channel of the most popular ten species caught in Korean coastal and off-shore fisheries with the aid of interviewing fish brokers and cooperative staffs in fish landing markets. This paper finds and emphasizes the following three suggestions, in order to improve the present scheme of fish distribution system. Firstly, annual catch of 10 kinds of fishes is successively decreasing in quantity from 1994 to 1998. Moreover annual catch shows larger variations than fish price and cooperative sales quantity. Except sea eel and sole, cooperative sales accommodates more than 90% of the fish landed, accounting for the small variation in cooperative sales, which invalidates the effectiveness of the free distribution system adopted by the government. Secondly, diversified distribution channels are exposed according to the nature of the fish, the method to harvest, and the quantity caught. Large retailers such as discount stores, super chains and home shopping institutions are actively involving themselves in direct purchase in fish landing markets. Through the analysis of distribution routes, the general distribution channel of fresh fish has been found such as producers longrightarrow fish brokers in landing markets longrightarrow fish brokers in central wholesale markets longrightarrow wholesalers longrightarrow retailers longrightarrow consumers. In order to reduce distribution margin through the analysis of distribution function and distribution margin, this paper presents a new distribution channel such as producers longrightarrow fish brokers in landing markets longrightarrow wholesalers longrightarrow retailers longrightarrow consumers. Thirdly, to improve the fish landing markets, this paper suggests the M&A of uneconomical fish landing markets or renovating toward wholesalers, introduction of processing services and improvement of processing facilities, subsidizing fish brokers in landing markets, revitalization of marketing divisions in cooperatives and improvement in fish auction system.

Assessing the Limits of Agricultural Situation for the Food Security in North Korea

  • The food situation in North Korea (Democratic People's Republic of Korea, DPRK) has been in difficulty situation because of a shortage of energy, and of raw materials such as fertilizer and agricultural chemicals. The international agricultural aid programs can alleviate some difficulties in the agricultural areas, but the policies and measures in North Korea can not help difficulties in the agriculture due to the institutional obstacles enforced by DPRK. The arable area of DPRK is approximately $20,000km^2$, of which $14,000km^2$ is well for cereal cultivation. Fertilizer supplies in recent years between 700,000 and 750,000 tons annually were less than 50% of the normal requirement. Also, North Korea strongly needed to inject phosphorus fertilizer and lime to increase the fertility. Soil degradation in DPRK was characterized by physical and chemical changes caused by rapid loss of clay particles and organic matter. Intensive ploughing and tilling to grow crops may lead to massive soil degradation and declining yields. Although farmers in the DPRK have faced numerous challenges, not least of which are soil erosion, scarce inputs and extreme weather like drought, flooding and cold spells. Therefore farmers should be encouraged to adopt more environmentally sound cropping practices, to access quality seeds and planting materials and to reduce losses after the harvest.

미국 Washington주 Burley Lagoon에 있어서의 참굴, Crassostrea gigas과 그 서식수역에 대한 위생학적 연구 (A STUDY ON THE SANITARY QUALITY OF PACIFIC OYSTERS, CRASSOSTREA GIGAS AND GROWING WATERS IN BURLEY LAGOON, WASHINGTON)

  • 참굴(Crassostrea gigas) 수하식양식에 있어 상층과 저층 그리고 조석에 따른 해수 및 굴의 위생학적 성상에 관한 변화를 조사하였으며 본 연구는 미국국제연맹처(AID) 연수계획에 의하여 Washington주 Burley Lagoon 뗏목 수하식 양식장에 대하여 실시되었다. 해수의 수온, 염분 및 탁도는 저층이 상층보다 다소 높았고 그 차이는 수온 $0.3^{\circ}C$, 염분 $0.5\%_{\circ}$, 탁도 0.1 JTU 있다. 조석에 따를 수온 및 염분의 변화는 대체로 조석 주기에 일치하는 기복상을 보였다. 해수의 위생지표미생물 함양은 상층이 저층보다 대체로 높았고 일반적으로 Coliform MPN 및 Fecal coliform MPN의 변화는 조고에 역비례하고 있어 이들 미생물군의 출처는 이 해역으로 유입하는 하천임을 알 수 있다. $35^{\circ}C$ Plate count는 조석 변동에 대하며 보다 안정하였다. 굴에 있어 Coliform 및 Fecal coliform MPN의 평균치는 상층굴이 저층보다 일반적으로 높은 값을 시현하였으나 $35^{\circ}C$ Plate count는 이와 같은 경향을 나타내지 않았다. 해수에서와 같이 굴에 있어서도 Coliform 및 Fecal coliform MPN의 평균치는 양자 모두 호고에 역상관관계를 나타내었고 조사기관중 굴의 세균축적비는 Coliform MPN은 $8.6\~19.7$, Fecal coliform MPN은 $16.9\~44.3$이였다. 이상의 결과로서 굴수하식 양식에 있어 패류위생관리상 중요한 것은 창호시에 굴을 채취하는 것이 미생 지표 세균의 함량이 보다 낮다는 것을 들 수 있다.

  • A persimmon harvesting vehicle that can be operated in hilly orchards as well as a manipulator that can be used to harvest persimmons located in remote positions in the trees were designed and developed. The vehicle could be operated with keeping balanced position in an inclined field and its working platform could be moved up and down easy to approach fruits in a remote region with the aids of a hydraulic and a electrical and electronics systems. The weight of the vehicle was 927 kg and the center of gravity was located at 427 mm to the inner side from the center of a right driving caterpillar, 607 mm to a rear axle from the center of a front axle, and 562 mm to upward from ground. The automatic level control sensor for leveling the working platform was activated within 14.5 ∼ 16.5 degrees of slope variation. The total length of the manipulator was 1.39 m and weight is 975 g. It was powered by a 12 V geared motor to detach persimmon fruits with a rotational force. The gripper was made of plastic and rubber to increase a frictional force. In a performance evaluation test, static tipping angle, dynamic tipping angle toward front side when the vehicle was moving downward, climbing angle, driving speed of the vehicle were measured or calculated. In persimmon harvesting tests 24.9% of yield was increased by hand picking with the aid of the vehicle and additional 7% of yield were increased when the manipulator was used. Therefore, 99010 of total possible yield was achievable when both of the vehicle and the manipulator were used for the manual persimmon harvesting. Increase in 22.5% of total yield was achieved with the manipulator only.
