The purpose of this study was identifying the user needs for the planning of public space in apartment dwelling units. 298 apartment residents in Haeundae, Pusan responded to the structural questionnaire, which included the residents' satisfaction for the location and size of the living room, the kitchen and the dining room, the space usage of the living room and the dining room, and preferred layout of the public space. The main findings are as follows. 1) The important household characteristics to consider are identified as family life cycle and the number of family members. 2) The levels of residents' satisfaction were differed by the household characteristics and the types of apartment. 3) Activities related to recreation, entertainment, and family meals in living room and formal and informal entertainments in the dining room were occurred in different way as to the household characteristics and the types of apartment. 4) The younger families in the smaller sized apartments had more diverse preference to the layout of the public space.

Mesenteric ischemic symptoms appear only when two of the three major splanchnic arteries from the abdominal aorta are involved. Recently, we encountered a case of chronic mesenteric ischemia in a 50-year-old female patient caused by atherosclerotic obstruction of the celiac trunk and superior mesenteric artery. She was treated with a retrograde bypass graft from the right common iliac artery to the superior mesenteric artery (SMA) in a C-loop configuration. Complete revascularization is recommended for treatment of intestinal ischemia. When the celiac trunk is a not suitable recipient vessel, bypass grafting to the SMA alone appears to be both an effective and durable procedure for treating intestinal ischemia.

본 연구에서는 해안침식이 진행되고 있는 해운대 해수욕장의 장기 해안지형 변화 및 인근지역의 토지피복 변화에 대해 분석하였다. 지난 60여 년간의 항공사진을 이용하여 해안선을 추출하고 이를 수심측량 및 GPS측량 자료를 이용하여 조위보정한 후, 해빈면적을 추출하여 해안지형 변화를 분석하였다. 또한 환경부 토지피복 세분류를 기준으로 하여 육안판독을 통해 13개년도의 토지피복도를 제작하고 토양유실량을 산정하여 연도별 토지피복 변화를 분석하였다. 그 결과, 해운대 해수욕장의 해안선이 점진적으로 후퇴하고 있으며 해수욕장 면적이 전체적으로 감소하고 있는 것으로 나타났다. 춘천천 복개 및 도시개발에 의한 모래 공급원 차단이 이러한 해안침식에 영향을 주는 인위적 원인이라고 사료된다.

급변하는 자연환경과 연안개발에 따른 해안침식이 가속화 되고 있어 사회, 경제적으로 해안침식문제가 부각되고 있다. 본 연구에서는 이러한 해안침식이 진행되고 있는 국내 최고의 해수욕장인 해운대 해수욕장의 장기해안지형변화에 대해 분석하였다. 항공사진은 실측과는 달리 경제적이며 측량 위험 부담이 적고 비교적 위성영상에 비해 고해상도라는 장점이 있으므로 이를 활용하였다. 지난 60여 년간의 항공사진을 이용하여 해안선을 추출하고 해빈면적을 산출하였다. 그리고 수심측량 및 GPS 측량 자료를 이용하여 보정거리와 보정면적을 계산함으로써 조위를 보정해주었다. 연구 결과, 해운대 해수욕장의 해안선이 점진적으로 후퇴하고 있으며 해수욕장 면적이 전체적으로 감소하고 있는 것으로 나타났다.

국내 해빈지대의 경우, 인위적 개발과 기상학적 현상, 특히 태풍의 영향으로 다량의 모래가 유실되고 있다. 해안침식 종합대책 수립 및 사업실행에 있어 해안지형에 관한 정확한 자료 구축은 필히 요구된다. 그러나 현재까지, 연안에 관한 정확한 측량작업이 실행되지 않은 채, 모래 유실에 대한 문제 제기나 일시적 대책 마련에 급급하고 있다. 그러므로 본 연구에서는 연구지역을 해운대 해빈지역으로 선정하고, GPS 측량기법을 이용하여 해안지대의 정확한 공간자료를 구축하였으며, 태풍으로 인한 3차원 지형변화를 정밀하게 분석하였다. 연구결과, 태풍의 영향으로 호안벽 근처 해빈고도는 증가하였으나, 강풍과 북북동의 정온입사파로 $2320m^3$ 가량 해빈이 침식하였다. 특히 동측 해빈지대에서 침식현상이 뚜렷하게 발생하였다. RS, GPS, GIS 기법을 기반으로 해안지대의 정확한 공간DB 구축과 지형변화에 관한 정량적정성적 분석 작업은 국내 해안침식에 관한 체계적이며 효과적인 대책을 수립하는데 도움을 줄 수 있을 것으로 사료된다.

해안 침식이 진행되고 있는 부산 해운대 해수욕장을 중심으로 해수면 상승에 따른 해안선 변화에 대한 분석을 실시하였다. 1947년부터 2008년까지 항공사진을 활용하여 해안선을 추출하였는데 사진촬영시간에 따라 해안선의 위치가 현저히 변화하기 때문에 위치만으로는 비교할 수 없고, 평균적인 해안선 부근의 경사와 촬영시의 조수상태를 고려한 수심별 해빈 면적 산정 공식을 활용하여 해안선 면적을 구하였다. 또한 조위자료를 통하여 40년 동안의 해수면 상승량을 산출하고, 이를 바탕으로 미래의 해안선 후퇴거리를 계산해 보았다. 그 결과 3008년도 해빈 면적은 1947년도와 비교하면 약 29% 면적이 감소하였고, 1992년도에는 일시적으로 해빈 면적이 상승하는데 이는 양빈 사업으로 인한 것으로 이후 다시 감소현상을 보인다. 그리고 조위자료 분석 결과 해수면은 연평균 2.462mm/year의 속도로 상승하였다.

1970년부터 해운대 신시가지 조성 및 춘천의 복개공사, 해안 주변의 매립, 도로건설 등의 연안 관련 사업이 환경에 미치는 종합적인 영향에 대한 검토도 없이 시행되어, 해운대 백사장으로 유입되어야 할 토사가 주공급원인 육지로부터 잠정적으로 차단되었다. 해운대 해수욕장의 해빈이 갈수록 감소되고 있는 가운데, 유실된 토사가 퇴적되는 연안의 해저지형에 대한 조사를 통해 정량적인 분석과 기간별 침퇴적 경향을 알아보는 연구가 필요하다. 따라서 본 연구에서는 수심 측량 자료를 이용하여 GIS기법으로 해저지형도를 제작하였고, 해저지형을 등간격으로 나누어 각 구간별 침퇴적 경향을 분석해 보았다. 그 결과 계절별로 침퇴적을 반복하고 있었고, 여름에는 침식, 겨울은 퇴적되는 경향을 보였다.

The effects of acupuncture treatment and taping therapy on a 22-year-old man who suffered from left foot pain due to Lisfranc joint injury were examined. Fractures of the first, second, and third metatarsal bones and a cuneiform bone were treated with acupuncture and taping therapy from March 24, 2017 to May 4, 2017. The patient was evaluated using the American Orthopaedic Foot & Ankle Society's Ankle-Hindfoot Scale. His Ankle-Hindfoot Score increased from 27 points pre-treatment to 65 points post-treatment. There were no side effects. While the improvement observed in this patient is encouraging, no definitive conclusion on the effects of acupuncture treatment and taping therapy on Lisfranc joint injuries can be reached without further large-scale study.

Objective: The aim of this study was to establish whether differences in ovarian size exist between the right and the left ovary of the same individual in women with polycystic ovary syndrome. Methods: In total, 206 Korean women with polycystic ovary syndrome were included in this study. In all participants, a transvaginal or transrectal ultrasound examination was conducted in the early follicular phase of the menstrual cycle. Results: A significant linear correlation was found between the two ovaries with regard to antral follicle count and ovarian volume. The mean antral follicle count in the right ovary (26.75 ± 11.72) was significantly higher than that in the left ovary (23.98 ± 10.85), and the mean volume of the right ovary (11.06 ± 5.17 cm³) was significantly different from that of the left ovary (9.12 ± 4.89 cm³). Conclusion: Ovarian size is different between the right and the left ovary in women with polycystic ovary syndrome.

The purpose of the study was to examine the socio-psychological factors of outdoor spaces in apartment complex. The data for the empirical analysis were collected from 412 households living in Haeundae New Town, Busan, and analyzed using descriptive statistics, factor analysis, and one-way analysis of variance and Duncan's multiple range test. The socio-psychological factors abstracted were territoriality, privacy, safety, sociality, accessibility, and identity. It was found that the households were generally positive to the overall socio-psycological factors in the current apartment complex. The significant explanatory variables for the responses to the socio-psychological factors were age of the wife, education of the wife, occupation of the wife, tenure type, monthly household income, length of residence, and overall satisfaction with outdoor spaces.
