  • Vertical reaction force between ground and tire is an important parameter determining the ground behavior characteristics of aircraft. This parameter can be used to calculate the lateral force and friction. However, it is hard to obtain this parameter in real-time when the aircraft is taxiing. Therefore, pre-analysis of ground behavior and vertical reaction force should be conducted using ground simulation results to prevent rollover or hazardous scenarios. In this paper, a Landing Gear and Full-Aircraft model was constructed using VI-Aircraft S/W. The roll behavior of aircraft was analyzed using steering simulation results compared with taxi-test data.

  • A new concept sea-floating port called mobile harbor has been introduced, in order to resolve the limitation of current above-ground port facilities against the continuous growth of worldwide marine transportation. One of important subjects in the design of a mobile harbor is to secure the dynamic stability against wave-induced excitation, because a relatively large-scale heavy crane system installed at the top of mobile harbor should load/unload containers at sea under the sea state up to level 3. In this context, this paper addresses a two-step sequential analytical-numerical method for analyzing the structural dynamic response of the mobile harbor crane system to the wave-induced rolling excitation. The rigid ship motion of mobile harbor by wave is analytically solved, and the flexible dynamic response of the crane system by the rigid ship motion is analyzed by the finite element method. The hydrodynamic effect between sea water and mobile harbor is reflected by means of the added moment of inertia.

  • The 4-th generation of mobile communication aims to realize global, fast and mobile communication service. The satellite communication charges a key role in this field. In this study, an OTM(On-The-Move) antenna which is mounted on ground vehicles and is used for mobile communication between vehicle and satellite was addressed. Since vehicles move during communication, active antenna line-of-sight stabilization is a core technology to guarantee high satellite communication quality. Stabilization of a satellite tracking antenna which consists of 2-DOF gimbals, an elevation gimbal over an azimuth gimbal, was considered in this study. Various disturbance torques such as static and dynamic mass imbalance torques, variation of moment of inertia according to elevation angle, friction torque related to vehicle motion, equivalent disturbance torque due to antenna roll motion, etc. were analyzed. As a robust stabilization control, rate feedback with sliding mode control and position feedback with proportional+integral control was suggested. To compensate antenna roll motion, a supplementary roll rate feed forward control was included beside of the feedback control loop. The feasibility of the analysis and the proposed control design were verified along with some simulation results.

  • The casing oscillator used for the foundation work in the construction place. Construction machinery which makes the casing rotate and roll can insert the casing in the ground. It is very important to make the casing perpendicular to sea level regardless of slope of ground. So in this paper, we present the new type casing oscillator that need not to level the ground for the work of casing insertion. The inverse kinematics analysis for the real-time control of casing oscillator is presented.

  • Today, use of high resolution satellite image with at least 1m resolution is expanding into many more areas including forest, river way, city, seashore and so forth for disaster prevention. Interest in this medium is increasing among the general public due to the roll-out to the private sector as Google earth, Virtual Earth and so forth. However, pre-processing process that revises the geometrical distortion that result at the time of photographing is required in order to use high resolution satellite image. The purpose of this research is to search the most accurate GCP(Ground Control Point) information acquisition method that is used for the revision of high resolution satellite image's geometrical distortion through automated processing. Through this, it is possible to contribute to increasing the level of accuracy at the time of high resolution satellite image revision and to secure promptness.

  • QPSK (Quaternary Phase Shift Keying) will be adopted as the modulation of HRIT (High Rate Information Transmission) which is transmitted to COMS (Communication, Ocean and Meteorological Satellite) through HPA (High Power Amplifier) in ground segment. Due to the nonlinearity of HPA, IMD (Inter-Modulation Distortion) of multi-carrier signals and PAPR (Peak-to-Average Power Ratio) of modulated HRIT must be considered to estimate the output power of HPA. In this paper, we measured the PAPR to various the roll-off factor of RRC (Root Raised Cosine filter) which is filtering the modulated HRIT signal for reducing ISI (Inter-Symbol Interference) and bandwidth. It was found that the minimum PAPR is 2.78dB at 0.5 of roll-off factor for scrambled data. It's 2.78dB of P APR will be in output power selecting in COMS earth station.

  • With the development of small multicopter PAV (Personal Air Vehicle), it is necessary to develop safety-related devices for manned rotorcraft. In this study, we assumed that an external airbag can be installed in a small multicopter PAV, and using LS-DYNA's Airbag Folding Application, we performed a free-fall collision analysis by modeling the airbag shapes consisting or Roll, Zigzag, and Sigma. There was no significant difference in the final airbag deployment time of the three models. However, when it collides with the ground during deployment, the Sigma fold type external airbag had the fastest deployment speed, applying the most impact force to the PAV, while the Roll fold type external airbag applied the smallest impact force to the PAV.

  • This paper reports the measurement and analysis of the short channel effects and the punchthrough voltage of SOI-MOSFET with a self-aligned ground plane electrode in the silicon mechanical substrate underneath the buried oxide. When the channel length is reduced below 0.2${\mu}{\textrm}{m}$ it is observed that the threshold voltage roll-off and the subthreshold swing with channel length are reduced and DIBL is improved more significantly in GP-SOI devices than FD-SOI devices. It is also observed from the dependence of threshold voltage with substrate biases that the body factor is a higher in GP-SOI devices than FD-SOI devices. From the measurement results of punchthrough voltage, GP-SOI devices show the higher punchthrough voltages than FD-SOI devices

  • As the Korea Multi-Purpose Satellite-I (KOMPSAT-1) satellite can roll tilt up to $\pm$45$^{\circ}$, we have analyzed some KOMPSAT-1 EOC images taken at different tilt angles for this study. The required ground coordinates for bundle adjustment and geometric accuracy are obtained from the digital map produced by the National Geography Institution, at a scale of 1:5,000. Followings are the steps taken for the tilting angle of KOMPSAT-1 to be present in the evaluation of geometric accuracy of each different stereo image data: Firstly, as the tilting angle is different in each image, the characteristic of satellite dynamic must be determined by the sensor modeling. Then the best sensor modeling equation should be determined. The result of this research, the difference between the RMSE values of individual stereo images is mainly due to quality of image and ground coordinates instead of tilt angle. The bundle adjustment using three KOMPSAT-1 stereo pairs, first degree of polynomials for modeling the satellite position, were sufficient.
