아리스토텔레스와 강증산(姜甑山) 성사(聖師)의 덕(德)이론 고찰 -덕의 속성 및 목적성과 관련하여- (A Study on Moral Systems of Aristotle and Kang Jeungsan: Focusing on the Nature of Virtue and Teleological Characteristics)

  • 오늘날 서구 윤리학에서 규범윤리 중 하나인 덕윤리는 아리스토텔레스의 덕이론에 기반하고 있다. 덕윤리는 행위보다 행위자의 성품(性品)을 중심에 두며 의무론과 공리주의 같은 외면적 행위 기준의 도덕이론이 갖는 문제점을 해소하는 윤리관으로 평가받고 있다. 이글은 덕의 속성이나 개념을 알아보는 덕이론의 입장에서 강증산 성사(聖師)의 덕의 특징을 살펴보고자, 아리스토텔레스의 덕과의 비교를 목적으로 한다. 먼저 덕의 속성으로서 두 사상의 덕은 형이상학적 기원으로 영혼과 도가 있고, 각각 이성및 마음과 관련하여 작용한다. 아리스토텔레스의 덕은 인간 이성의 탁월한 성품을 가리키고 이에 대해 강증산의 덕은 청정한 본질로 회복하려는 마음 수행에서 나오는 성품이라 할 수 있다. 덕은 그것이 추구하는 좋은 삶 개념을 포함하여 설명하게 되는데 이때 좋은 삶으로서 각각 에우다이모니아와 해원상생으로 대응된다. 아리스토텔레스의 에우다이모니아를 실현하기 위한 성품으로 덕은 중용(中庸)의 덕을 강조하며, 강증산의 해원상생을 실현하기 위한 성품으로서 덕은 무자기(無自欺)와 대인대의(大仁大義)의 덕이 있다. 두 덕이론의 유사점은 덕이 인간으로서 목적을 다하기 위해 좋은 삶을 실현하는 성품으로서 목적론적 성격이 있다는 것이다. 이와 관련하여 공통적으로 실천적 지혜와 지속적인 덕 함양의 과정이 필요하다. 또 다른 유사점으로 덕에 중(中)을 추구하는 의미가 있다는 것이다. 차이점은 덕의 속성과 관련하여 영혼과 도는 다른 측면의 개념이며 아리스토텔레스의 덕은 강증산의 덕과 달리 천부적이며 본성적인 것이 아니라는 차이가 있다. 또한 좋은 삶으로서 에우다이모니아가 인간사회에 국한된 좋은 삶이라면 해원상생은 인간, 신, 만물을 대상으로 하는 좋은 삶이라는 점에서 차이가 있다. 아리스토텔레스의 중용의 덕이 이성적인 면이 강조된다면 강증산의 무자기와 대인대의의 덕은 이성적 측면 외에도 마음을 통해 남을 이해하는 정서적인 면과 상호간 관계적 덕의 측면이 있다는 면이다.

  • 이 글의 목적은 대순진리회의 생태주의 담론인 '상생생태론'에서 '상생'의 의미를 생태적으로 규정하는 데 있다. 인간을 대상으로 윤리적 측면에서 통용되던 상생이 그 적용 범위를 비인간까지 확장시키는 생태학의 영역에서 어떻게 적용될 수 있는지 상호의존성이라는 생태학의 개념으로 설명한다. 생태학에서의 상호의존성은 개체와 개체 사이에서 발생하는 긍정적, 부정적, 중립적인 관계를 조합하여 경쟁, 포식, 기생, 그리고 공생으로 구분한다. 개체와 개체 사이의 관계가 부정적으로 끝나더라도 생태계에는 긍정적인 영향을 끼칠 수 있으므로 모두 '의존'이라는 개념에 포함된다. 그러나 개체와 개체 사이의 부정적 결말은 원을 발생시킬 수 있고 이러한 상호의존은 상생윤리의 관점에서는 그대로 통용될 수 없다. 따라서 생태적 상생은 긍정적 상호의존의 관계만 해당하거나 혹은 포원이 존재하지 않는 포식, 기생, 경쟁의 관계도 포함될 수 있다. 생태론은 자연과 인간을 분리하지 않고 둘 사이를 통합적으로 이해할 수 있는 관점을 요구한다. 천지생인용인(天地生人用人)이라는 우주관은 우주와 인간, 자연과 인간의 관계를 상호의존적 관점에서 포착할 수 있게 한다. 천지는 자신의 존재 근거를 인간으로 삼았고, 지인은 자연의 법칙을 발견하고 그 배후에 있는 천지의 신성성까지 깨달아 비로소 천지와 인간, 자연과 인간의 깊은 상호의존의 관계가 성립한다. 그러나 근대적 인간이 등장하면서 자연을 짓밟고 신도의 권위를 떨어뜨림으로써 천지와 인간의 상호의존성은 붕괴된다. 해원상생과 보은상생은 천지와 인간, 자연과 인간 사이에 끊어진 상호의존성을 다시잇는 해결책이다. 공부 의례를 통해 해원상생을 실천하는 것은 자연과 인간의 상호의존성을 회복하는 길이다. 수도를 통해 도통에 도달하는 과정이 보은상생의 실천이며 이로써 인간은 생태적 본성을 지닌 인존으로 거듭나 자연과 영원한 상호의존을 누리게 된다. 요컨대 상생생태론에서의 상생은 자연과 인간이 상호의존성을 회복하고 그것을 영원히 지속할 수 있게 만드는 이념이자 실천이다.

후천세계가 지향하는 인간상 탐구- 정역의 지인(至人) 중심으로 - (Consideration on Human in World of Post-Heaven: Focusing on perfect man of Right I Ching)

  • The theory of post-heaven provided Korea's many emerging national religions with spiritual ground. The I Ching originated in China emphasizes the principles of change or static aspects of world, while Right I Ching, which Il-Bu Kim suggested, underlines dynamic aspects of world. Il-Bu Kim is perceived to open a new stage in the history of philosophy of I Ching in this regard. His most remarkable contribution is the view of Great Opening Era of Post-Heaven, according to which the clock of cosmos shows the era of great change from Pre-Heaven to Post-Heaven and in the world of Post-Heaven everything will take its proper place. As to human society, Il-Bu Kim foresaw the change from disharmony to harmony, imbalance to balance and era of xiaoren to that of junzi. The advent of such a new world, however, asks human's moral revolution as a prerequisite. In the tradition of East Asian thought, human is the center of the Samjae, Heaven-Earth-Human and the only being which could participate in the growth of Heaven and Earth. Without the change of human mind, however, human can neither participate in the growth of Heaven and Earth nor expect the right change of Heaven and Earth. Even though the world of nature changes according to the principle of cosmic harmony, as the Right I Ching predicts, the real change of Heaven and Earth can be achieved only with moral change of human. The human in the Right I Ching is a free man who sticks to nothing and communicates with cosmos with empty mind. This is the very image of perfect man(至人). The perfect man in the Right I Ching is the main agent of everything, that's to say, the main agent of the great opening to Post-Heaven Era. This is the reason why most leaders of Koran emerging religions concentrate on the change of human. In this regard, Jeung-San Kang encouraged people to become the perfect man through the purification of mind and body and the great opening of inner man, depending on the metaphysical principle of the Right I Ching. Cheok and Resolution of grievances for the mutual beneficence of all life are what he suggested as a method of the great opening of inner man. Such a view is based on the thought that the accumulated sinful behaviors are obstacles to cosmic change and the time of mutual beneficience opens with the removal of the obstacles. If such religious practices are so effective, as Jeung-San Kang says, that future world could consist of perfect men who have achived the great opening of inner man, moral change, and change of consciousness, we could expect that the activities of xiaoren will be shrinked and junzi will be welcomed, as the Right I Ching predicts.

대순사상의 역학적 조명 - 종지(宗旨)를 중심으로 - (Daesoon Thought Explained Through the Philosophy of the Book of Change)

  • The Four Tenets of Daesoon thought are the Creative conjunction of the virtues of Eum and Yang, the Harmonious union of divine beings and human beings, the Resolution of grievances for the mutual beneficence of all life and the Realization of the Dao in the world. This article compares the concepts of the "Creative conjunction of the virtues of Eum and Yang", the "Harmonious union of divine beings and human beings" and the "Resolution of grievances for the mutual beneficence of all life" with "EumYangDaeDaeRon", "ShinMyonKiDeok", the Theory of Mutual Giving Life / Mutual Destruction (SangSaeng/SangGeukRon) of the Book of Changes and analyzes their common and different points. The conclusion is that Daesoon thought and the philosophy of the Book of Changes share common fundamental standpoints. However, the Daesoon thought defines the world of SeonCheon (the state before the Heaven and Earth have been created) as Mutual Giving Life (SangSaeng), and the world of HuCheon (the state after the Heaven and Earth have been created) as Mutual Destruction (SangGeuk). According to Daesoon thought the Mutual Destruction (SangGeuk) is seen as negative, while according to the philosophy of the Book of Changes the Theory of Mutual Giving Live/Mutual Destruction (SangSaeng/SangGeukRon) is viewed as a positive relationship of EumYangDaeDae. This is a point of difference between the Daesoon thought and the philosophy of the Book of Changes. According to EumYangDaeDae relationship theory the contradictory "other" is viewed not as an enemy, but as a necessary element that assures one's existence. When Buddhism and Christianity first came to existence, they did not belong to a main stream. Later, through continuous theorization and systematization they became generally accepted religions. The case of Confucianism was not much different. During Song dynasty in China Buddhism has contributed to the systematization and establishment of Neo-Confucianism; in the middle of 20th century the Confucian scholars of Hong Kong and Taiwan interpreted and defined Confucianism a new in the light of Western philosophy. Thus the "Modern Neo-Confucianism" came to existence. That's why the history of Confucianism is also called "the history of advancing and developing a concept". From this point of view the critical acceptance of some elements of Confucian, Buddhist, Taoist etc. traditions, as well as modern philosophy, by Daesoon, in order to achieve the systematization of Daesoon thought, is a very important process. As a part of this process, this essay explains the Daesoon thought from the point of view of the Book of Changes, which may be said to present the original East-Asian view of the world. Daesoon's emphasis of human dignity, the equality of sexes, the critics the hierarchical society etc. are rather "modern" and should be examined from the point of view of social science. Besides, leaving the boundaries of "modern philosophy", the concepts of "Harmonious union of divine beings and human beings", viewing the universe as one organism etc. should be approached from the point of view of Post-Modernism.

  • Recently people have come to demand more pleasant environments as the quality and right of life have been improved. Along with industrial development, the tendency is causing a growing number of disputes concerning environmental damages. Of many kind of environmental damages, noise and vibration pollution rising at construction fields are particularly the most common subjects of public grievance. Thus the government launched the Environments Dispute Mediation Committee in 1991, purposing to utilize fully the promptness and expertise of administrative institutes and to resolve environmental damage disputes promptly and fairly by interfering in them actively. With the prompt and fair dispute mediations of the committee, people came to be able to get fair and prompt remedies for damages in their health and fortune by environmental pollution. Therefore, by analyzing dispute mediation cases on construction noise and vibration damages, we will suggests basic material on which efficient actions can be takes for public grievances happening in the future.

구조물에 대한 국외 발파진동 허용 규제기준 분석 (Review of National Standards for Allowable Limit of Blast Vibration on Structures)

  • 구조물의 발파진동에 대한 허용 수준 설정은 구조물의 반응 특성이 발파 진동의 특성과 전파 매질인 지반의 특성, 대상 구조물의 특성, 구조물의 기초 특성 등 여러 인파에 따라 달리 나타나므로 표준화된 기준을 적용하기는 쉽지 않은 일이다. 국외의 경우 영국, 독일, 스위스, 스웨덴과 같이 국가별로 허용수준에 대한 표준을 마련한 나라들도 있으며 아직 별도로 기준을 마련하지 않은 국가들도 많다. 우리나라는 통상 적용되고 있는 기준이 있으나 아직 국가 표준화는 되어 있지 않은 상황이며 민원 해결의 근거를 위한 합리적인 기준 마련의 필요성이 대두되고 있는 실정이다. 본 논문에서는 국가적으로 기준을 갖고 있는 미국, 영국, 독일, 스위스, 스웨덴 등의 사례와 개정 작업을 하고 있는 호주 및 브라질의 사례 분석을 통하여 다양한 형태의 기준들에 대한 특징을 파악하고 현행 사용되고 있는 국내 기준의 문제점을 고찰하였다.

ODR을 통한 해외직구 분쟁해결방안 (A Study on Resolution Methods of Overseas Direct Purchase Dispute by ODR)

  • As the Internet rapidly emerges as a speedy and cost-effective way of purchasing goods from overseas websites, the number of disputes arising out of overseas direct purchases also increases. In such situations, a disgruntled consumer might be left without an effective remedy. Providing an alternative approach to redress such grievances might assist in resolving such disputes and in increasing consumer confidence in e-commerce. Online Dispute Resolution (ODR) will allow consumers to solve their disputes without going to court, in a quick, low-cost, and simple way. It also helps to eliminate complex jurisdictional and choice-of-law problems. On the other hand, it has many problems such as having inadequate confidentiality and security, not being able to meet the "writing" requirement for arbitration of disputes, having difficulty in enforcing online arbitration agreements, having difficulties in enforcing online decisions and so on. This article investigates relationship online disputes and ODR and suggests ways that ODR can work best in resolving disputes arising out of overseas direct purchases. To expand the ODR system in online disputes, it is very important for domestic consumers to recognize the concept and usefulness of the Alternative Dispute Resolution (ADR) and ODR systems. The Korean government must also help consumers recognize the ADR mechanisms of dispute resolution by public campaign advertisement of ADR systems. Further education of dispute resolution in higher educational institutions is also required as well as assisting the KCAB with funds and the establishment of ADR Law.

종합병원 민원접수자의 불평유형과 불평행동 및 재구매의사간의 관계 (The Relationship of Complaining Type, Complaining Behavior, and Subsequent Purchase Intention of the Visitors to the Help-desk Centers in General Hospitals)

  • The purpose of this study is to identify and clarify the factors which affect the complaining type, the complaining behavior, and the subsequent purchase intention. The data in this study is collected through questionnaires from patients with grievances who visited the help desk centers of :1 general hospitals in Seoul. Total 70 questionnaires were collected. The conclusions from this study can be summarized as follows; 1. The complaining type(related with medical service) have relatively correlation with the having of occupation among demographic characteristics and select motivation of hospital. 2. The complaining type(related with medical service) has an effect un the official complaining behavior. And the older persons take action with the official complaining behavior. 3. The complaining type(related with medical service) has an effect on the negative purchase intention. Therefore the most important thing in hospitals management is that hospitals improve their medical service quality. And hospital managers should station the complaining center and try to ease the complaining behavior and negative purchase intention.

도시철도 운행소음 저감용 훼어링시스템 연구 (A study on Fairing System for Traveling Noise Reduction in Urban Subway)

  • As the density and height of the buildings nearby subway lines get higher, the unprecedented residents' appeals for noise are on the rise. Furthermore, in accordance with the revision of enforcement regulations on the Noise and Vibration Control Act, the night time noise standards have been reinforced by 5dB effective on January 1st 2010 and the appropriate measures shall be taken accordingly. For the settlement of the public grievances against noise and vibration generated on tracks in at-grade and elevated section, the installation of continuously-welded-rail, rail lubrication system, improved fastening system and higher noise barrier is currently executed. Nevertheless, the noise and vibration levels in some areas are still exceeding the limits required in the regulation. Among the measures, an installation of higher noise barrier or noise tunnel seems to be the most effective way; however, it has limitations owing to the structural stability of existing elevated structures. The paper in consideration of the local conditions and foreign practices discusses the installation of fairing system under the train body as an noise insulation panel in order to reduce the rolling noise and under-carriage noise. Based on the result of this study, a performance verification test during actual train operation is in progress for further study.

비선호시설 입지에 관한 프로젝트 지체의 인과구조와 유량-저량 묘형 (Causal Loops and Stock-Flow Models of Project Delay Confronted with Location of Locally Unwanted Facilities)

  • The purpose of this study is to find what factors are directly related to the delay of public projects, usually going beyond the planned deadline and budget. From a series of System Dynamics simulation works applied to the Cheongju Cremation Project, the research finds that the negative externalities originated from the adjacent location of the LULU(locally unwanted land use) facilities have exerted significant influence on dynamic perceptions of key stakeholders, typically resulting in project delay. As shown repeated experiments, the proposed negotiation-based models would produce relatively higher planning performance level than the typical approaches hinged on the administrative-expediency tactics. Even though the former may require more human and material resources in the very beginning stage, as they have to deal with diverse grievances raised by major stake-holders, most of them would bound for strengthening reinforcing loops within the complex structure. These results also imply that negotiation or consensus-building approaches would enhance mutual agreement among stake-holders, upgrading the overall quality of project management.
